Welcome Back And Audio Upgrades
SPEAKER_02What's good everybody? Welcome to the I'm Just Same podcast with your boy, Mr. Hi.
SPEAKER_01And Buck. Hello. Thank you so much for tuning in. We appreciate you listening to Shut up, Buck.
SPEAKER_05It's time to start the show. You're killing my high. I gotta go. I'm trying to thank the fans over here. No, I'm delicing y'all. What's good, everybody? Welcome to the I'm Just Same podcast. Welcome back, y'all. We're here. It's been a minute. We're live. We're direct. What's up, Buck? What they do, what they do. Little bit tired. It's been a long day. Long Friday, but I feel like we're getting a little bit better. I feel like the podcast is getting a little better. I feel like people can hear the next smoothness of the podcast getting into a next level.
SPEAKER_01Most definitely, honestly. Like we've we've been improving. Now that we're on on, we've been improving every single episode, doing little, adding little things, taking little things. We've been improving the audio quality. That's kind of our main focus at this moment. Figuring out trying to give you the best quality we can. So you can hear.
SPEAKER_05And then also could we're also working on your breathing. Last couple episodes that they're not going to hear, you were Dark Vader.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. No, I was that was just because I was sighting. Because anything you says, whenever you said something that annoyed the hell out of me, I don't want to say anything.
SPEAKER_05You need to say it. You are a podcaster. I need that. That's the one thing I'm going to break out of you out of this whole podcast journey. You will say what you feel. I will break you. If I can't break you, no one will. And that is a crime to me. What's good, y'all? We're about to give y'all a whole load of podcasts. We're about to talk about the UFC, Marvel. We got the King Kingsman drama in the streaming world. Kai turning into the I think he went to the Paris Fashion Week. So that was a crazy thing. Saw that we got a lot of anime drama. MAPA and Netflix tag teaming up. GTA 6 explosion. There's a lot of shit we gotta talk about, Buck. But first, the one thing I want you to always say, but you never give me a good one. Please give me a good one, Buck. How was your week?
Buck’s Streaming Plans And Setup Issues
SPEAKER_01Today. What today? This week was busy for me, dude. I had a busy week. I I started kind of working on my streaming a little bit. I got some plans, I got some ideas that I want to put out there.
SPEAKER_05So when you say you've been working on your streaming, what does that entail? Well, I've been I've been Like really, like what does that entail when you say you are working on your streaming?
SPEAKER_01Well, I'm just trying to figure out what I need to add to the stream itself, like a way to interact more with the fans and like my chat, you know what I mean? Trying to smooth out if there's any lag or if because sometimes randomly my my my P pad turns off. I'm guessing that's just because it's putting a lot of stress on the computer. So I have to figure that out. So I'm working on that. Luckily, it doesn't happen all the time. It just happened randomly, like once every 30 minutes or so. So I'm working on that. Making sure making sure everybody.
SPEAKER_05Buck streaming in 2028?
SPEAKER_01Buck streaming in April, bro, this month. This this I doubt that. Hey, listen, I doubt. Like right when you said that. I got some plans. I'm telling you, I got some ideas I'm trying to put out there, and this this week, this weekend is gonna be great for me. Is that why you look like fucking Top Gun today? I'm trying to hair, I'm trying to grow on my beard, trying to grow on my hair. So one of these days, if you know, if they're like, who's this guy? I'll just shave everything off and they'll never know I exist.
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah, you did not have a beard before. Actually, that that actually. Yo, I actually just noticed you grew a whole full beard.
SPEAKER_01I did. And a mustache. It's a little a little shabby, but I'm used to like straight up nothing. Yeah, no, I used to keep it real short, but I'm you know, like, you know what? Let me let me grow something out. Let me see how let me see what's up.
SPEAKER_05Bro said I'm gonna become a podcaster. You wanted the full podcast look. You went full podcast look right here, bro.
SPEAKER_01Hey, I'm not trying to well, I gotta get a cut, but my beard, I'll slim my beard down. I won't cut it, but I'll slim it down. I'm proud of you. You're gonna hate when you see my outfit, my style, though. I'm gonna I'm gonna sell you a picture one of these days. You're gonna be like, that's a stupidest streaming table. I love it though. You're gonna get so mad. It'll be funny.
SPEAKER_05Everything you do makes me mad. I just know whatever you're whatever you have planned, truly I know I'm gonna be pissed. Oh, you're gonna be guaranteed. But I wish the best for you because I will have my own content of just talking shit about you, bro. I appreciate you. I really week. Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01How was your week?
SPEAKER_05My week was fine.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy. You see how it feels?
SPEAKER_05You see how it feels? Hey, I'm not sure. You see how it feels when you put some work in.
SPEAKER_02I at least tell you my my fine my week was cool.
SPEAKER_05Alright. My week is kind of annoying, so like, it was just a lot of work, a lot of I've just been working, working out. It was a pretty regular week. The one thing that I could say about right now, I have a birthday party to go to on Sunday, and I'm not gonna say on the podcast, but you yeah, with the look, you can understand why I just am very upset this week and very like not even trying to go.
SPEAKER_01Have fun, my brother.
SPEAKER_05I don't wanna go.
SPEAKER_01Well, you gotta go, bro.
SPEAKER_05Who says so?
SPEAKER_01You no, you tell yourself you're not gonna go, but guess what? You'll be there. You will be there.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god, dude. I'm gonna try my hardest. Like, I already I already messaged and said, like, I got I I'm busy, which I'm already I am busy. Like going will make me just lay off some stuff that I was supposed to do to go do that. Good luck. Yeah, so you could tell why I don't want to talk about my week. Can you understand now?
SPEAKER_01I get it.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_01Let's do this.
MrBeast Games And The Button Test
SPEAKER_05Let's move on. The people don't need to understand why my week's so fucking brutal. Alright. Mr. Beast and the Mr. Beast games. Have you watched it?
SPEAKER_01I have not.
SPEAKER_05Have I watched it? Have you? No. Alright, to be fair, I want to watch the Mr. Beast games, but I don't like those shows anyway. Like I never liked war or any of those games. Me either. And the reason why I don't want to watch the Mr. Beast one is just because it's Mr. Beast. No, I love Mr. Beast.
SPEAKER_01I like I like some of Mr. Beast, but I feel like that's too much of Mr. Beast. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05I like how you're real because a lot of people will cap and just say they'll love Mr. Beast because they just because Mr. Beast has a lot of pull on YouTube. I love personally love Mr. Beast. Like I watched Mr. Beast since day one. Personally, I shit. I bought all the shit he make came out with. But I could not get past the clip of one dude on like they were on a ledge, and Mr. Beast said he was on a team. The team picked him to stand on this ledge. Mr. Beast told him, Yo, for a million dollars, if you click the button, I'll give you a million dollars, but your team will be eliminated. I mean 0.1 second he clicked that button.
SPEAKER_00That's gangster.
SPEAKER_01That is prioritizing yourself over any BS. There's there's no loyalty when it comes to money, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05Okay, now this is what I really want. Now, this is hear me out. Understandable if you didn't know any of them. If you didn't know anybody there, you why would you a million dollars and I get to go home? I don't have to deal with the rest. I get to go home with a million dollars in hand right now. I just gotta eliminate all these random people I will never see again. I'm doing it. I'm doing it. Fuck if I was in that circle.
SPEAKER_01I know you'd be mad, but you respect the grind. Because I know I know that you know that you would do it to me. Fuck. So I would do it to you first if I got the chance.
SPEAKER_05Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. You can't take what I would do to what you'll do in your preference. Your preference is I'm in the middle of that circle. You're standing up there. I looked you dead in the eye before sending you up there like, hey, Buck, no matter what. Like, we have to have a conversation. It's either me, it's either me or you. And I had the conversation saying, Hey Buck, please don't screw me and go up there and win us this game. You looked at me in the eye and said, yo, no matter what, brother.
SPEAKER_01Now, if I'm gonna live to spend those million dollars is the question. Because I know if I kick you out, you might kill me. But I know in your own way, you're gonna respect the grind. You're gonna respect the fact that I took that million dollars.
SPEAKER_05Okay, calm down. We're not gonna build a c we're not gonna build a whole black claim over me, motherfucker.
SPEAKER_01No, no.
SPEAKER_05All I'm saying is you ain't about to put no past tense and suddenly you disappear and I'm subject number one, bruh. No, hell no. Back up.
SPEAKER_01It's a million dollars, bro.
SPEAKER_05I would respect it if you looked at me dead in the eye after you did it, said, Hey, Mr. High, we split it 50-50.
SPEAKER_01I'm taking it. The whole thing. The whole thing, bro. I'm taking the whole thing. That's a life-changing amount of money. One million dollars.
SPEAKER_05So you want to give me nothing. So I'm gonna. I might give you a little something. I might give you a little something. I'm gonna be on the plane back home with you with that. I will hurt you on the plane.
SPEAKER_01We're gonna come back to the studio, and I'll tell you what, once we come back to the studio and we go to record our next podcast, if I'm still alive, I will buy everything we need to make the studio sound perfect.
SPEAKER_05That doesn't matter. That is not what we're talking about.
SPEAKER_01We're talking about No, but you said if I was gonna give you a piece, I'm not, but you will die. What did I just say? What did I just say? But I will invest. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05Like, it wouldn't be by my hands. It was just like you'll be on the plane and you accidentally fell when you were getting onto the plane. Like just like just randomly, just something happened. And because we were good friends, number one. I'll accept your money. This bro, if I want a million dollars, you know I know that you think I am the most cruelest person in the head in the world, bro. I know Mr. High is stingy. I know Mr. High loves to stroke his bling. But let me tell you something, son. A million dollars! I'll at least I'll at least break you off 250.
SPEAKER_01I feel like you spend it before we even get on the plane. I feel like you gamble it right away.
SPEAKER_05No, it's a million dollars, dude.
SPEAKER_01People lose that type of break you off.
SPEAKER_05I'm not gonna break you off a lot. Like, definitely not a lot. Like, you're out your mind if you think you're getting all of it. What I would have done in that situation, because now I know who you are, and I'm now I wouldn't give you shit. I wouldn't give you a dime. But I'll tell you honestly what I would have done. I would have pressed it faster than he did. It's a million dollars, I ain't playing no more deuces. I would have got in my hotel room, you would have eventually found me. Eventually, eventually you would have found me.
SPEAKER_01Negative 500,000.
SPEAKER_05You would have 100% wanted something, and I would have looked at you dead in the eye when you stormed in my room saying, How could you do that to me? And there would have been a hundred thousand cash for you, and that's the max you was gonna get. Hey, you would have walked away with that or nothing, and then we would have flown on, you would still have been a little mad, but you've been a hundred thousand, so you would be a little less mad. I'll get here, spend another 10k on all the equipment I need for this podcast, and then I am gonna go to Vegas, and then I'm gonna double it to two million, and you're gonna lose it all in Vegas because nobody wins in Vegas. We will never know until I try. And then after I come back from Vegas and I have two million dollars. We are up, and I'll give you another hundred thousand dollars of your expertise.
SPEAKER_01I'm calling cap on everything. You don't think I will go to Vegas? I don't think you'd win in Vegas. I know you I know for a fact you would go to Vegas. Bro, I will win in Vegas. That is not my question.
SPEAKER_05Name name how many times I lost.
SPEAKER_01How many times have you gone? Like 13 times last year. Oh. No. I won some. Every time you go, when you come back, all I hear is we gotta postpone. Not postpone, right? But all I hear is for the next couple months is man, Vegas messed me up. I'm struggling because of Vegas. I'm not saying you will lose all of it. Because I do give you credit, and I do think you're not gonna spend however much money you have. You give me too much credit. That's what I'm saying. So you give me way too much credit.
SPEAKER_05So I do think you're probably doing a thousand dollar a bet.
SPEAKER_01I feel like in total you'll probably do like a quarter of a million. Yeah, 25 million. But but I feel like you'll be smarter. Well, actually, I feel like if you're down 250,000, you might as well just go all the way. You'll probably just go all the way.
SPEAKER_05No, once I hit the reason why I'm at 250,000 is because I lost a hundred. So then I took down another hundred, put that all in one bet parlay, lost that parlay, and then I would have taken out fifty thousand, try to gamble that fifty thousand back to 150,000 just so I could kind of break even, lost that, then I'll go home. Then that's how you get to 250,000. The mind of a gambler, baby. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01Leave me alone. That's crazy. What's worse? Taking the million or gambling and losing the million. Taking the million.
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_01I gambling and losing the million is so much more pathetic.
SPEAKER_05Hear me out, hear me out. You taking the million dollars will grow hatred between us, between the podcasts. You would fuck us up. No, no, no. You would fuck up the mentality of you just holding on a million, and I don't have no 100,000 on my side. That's what's the fucked up on your plan. My plan is better because guess what? This is paid for, the studio's paid for, you have 100k in your system, I blew hundred, I blew 250, or I won more than 250. And then we all win. And then they grow after that, and then that's a better plan. Your plan is to come back here with a million dollars, fund all of this, and then just hold on to a million dollars. It's a good plan. That's a terrible plan.
SPEAKER_01It's a good plan.
SPEAKER_05That's a terrible plan. You don't even want to spend money.
SPEAKER_02I wouldn't gamble it though. But not spending a money. I wouldn't gamble a penny though. That's terrible. What? Make it, you could double it. Rich people don't gamble. How many times do you buy food? Every day. That's a lot of bets you could have made. I'd rather not starve and die.
SPEAKER_05But I'm just saying, bro, you can make you need to learn how to live. And with the million dollars, I think in your hands will be wasteful.
SPEAKER_01I can live, but I am not gambling that crap. I'm not gambling away a life-changing amount of money, all right?
SPEAKER_05$100,000 ain't that life-changing.
SPEAKER_01$100,000 if you're pay if you're renting a room for a hundred thousand, if you and you have a hundred thousand dollars in your bank account, bro, you can live in that place for years.
SPEAKER_05So then don't bitch when I give you a hundred thousand dollars and I'm off in Vegas. Shut up. Shut up. You were gonna just hold on to the million. Shut the fuck up. You were just saying that. I win. I went to the next topic. Ha ha.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god. All right.
SPEAKER_05Oh, that was so funny. But yeah, nah. Mr. Beast, um, good luck on your good luck on your show. Season two. I think it's out right now. Go watch it live. I'm not even getting paid for this endorsement. I'm just doing it for the free skis because you know, my my my co-host talks a lot of shit, and I feel like I need to repay that. You talk a lot of shit, dude. You know, I gotta repay some of this. Some of these sharks you're going at, I can't fight for you. Do you understand that? Some of these hitters are just hitters.
SPEAKER_01The only time Mr. Beast will ever yell at me or get mad at me is if I'm a couple of things. I'm not worried about him.
SPEAKER_05I'm worried about his fans.
SPEAKER_01If I call him a fake anime fan.
SPEAKER_05I think we all agree on that. But not the fucking factor here. He's just a casual anime fan, bro. He's just casual.
SPEAKER_01No, that's a fact.
SPEAKER_05Leave my casual anime.
SPEAKER_01No, hey, listen, I respect casual fans. Just have some respect back.
SPEAKER_05But they will never have respect. That's why they're saying.
SPEAKER_01So we're always gonna have an eternal argument.
SPEAKER_05That's like a casual Star Wars fan. You think he has respect for anything? Probably not. Yeah, you see? Just casuals don't care. They just like what they like and they don't like what they don't like. And then you gotta just leave them at that. That's a fact. They will never get into it like how you like it.
SPEAKER_00That's a fact.
Marvel Brings Everyone Back
SPEAKER_05They're just casuals. Fuck them. Fuck them all. Fuck them. Speaking of that, bro. Marvel's bringing everyone back. Well, it's gonna be wait, no, like he didn't. I really do think, I really do think like after Fantastic Four lost to Superman in the box office, one of the one of the dudes went into their office and went to Feige and was like, What do we do? And he just turned around and said, Bring me everyone. What do you mean? Bring me everyone.
SPEAKER_01That's that's just where it's at. That's that's how bad it's gone for Marlboro. And that's how desperate they are to claim some of their goodwill back. It's just it's it's it's been a real rough fall for them from how what their peak was. And and now the fact that they're bringing RDJ and they're bringing all these other actors and all these other characters, and you're just giving me one massive, massive movie that's gonna have so many stars across so many different franchises almost. It's it's ridiculous. And I feel like if you do it right, you definitely got something there, but they could fumble it because this is Marvel We're gonna be.
SPEAKER_05Okay, let me tell you right now, how the fuck are they gonna do this, right?
SPEAKER_01Just give everybody a little bit of it.
SPEAKER_05It bro, okay, let's okay. I'm not saying that I'm like trying to bag on Doomsday, but let me get this right. I'm just going off of what I heard. I don't know what's officially in the movie, but we're getting Cap back, right? We're getting all of the X-Men back, right?
SPEAKER_01I don't know about all of them, but I know they're bringing like specific, some specific characters. That's why it's all over the place. It's just very specific characters.
SPEAKER_05Okay, we're getting Wakanda back, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think she's in it.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so then we're getting the whole Wakanda people franchise, all of that. Because they gotta go to Wakanda to even talk to these niggas. It's not like you can't, it's not like you could just like you can teleport them. You no, because they don't know what's going on.
SPEAKER_01On some Doctor Strange stuff.
SPEAKER_05No, you even see it in the trailer. The Fantastic Four went to the Yeah, so that means they're gonna show the whole Wakanda thing. Spider-Man's supposed to be in it, and we don't even know which one. Right. That's what's tripping me out. So like now. Now I'm kind of mad. The only reason why I'm mad is because I'm okay with you doing Doomsday, getting everybody hype for Marvel and us. If I see my GOAT Spider-Man, the original Spider-Man in that movie, and he did not make Spider-Man 4 or this thing leading up to Spider-Man 4, I'm mad. Can we all agree there right now? Like, even if we get him back, if we don't get the movie Spider-Man 4, this was a whole disaster.
SPEAKER_01It was a waste of time. Waste of time. Like with this, you could definitely build more more movies and more more more universes and everything.
SPEAKER_05Hey, you can't even say the fandom's not there. You can't say, like, bro, the fandom's there for all three of them. You can release a movie for all three of them, and they can all be in separate multiverses, and every single Spider-Man fan will accept that and watch all three.
SPEAKER_00That's a fact.
SPEAKER_05That's the craziest part. Tom Holland is one of my favorites. I think it'll probably go go, OG, then Tom Holland. It's between those two.
SPEAKER_01So it's a flip. Okay. Because I Toby top, right? We're gonna agree on that.
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah, no. OG first. Definitely. Oh, OG first. He doesn't even like, you know, it's second and third that we're fighting about.
SPEAKER_01No, that's the legend.
SPEAKER_05Second and third is what we're fighting about, and it's just because there's the reason why they're all together and why we all can like accept that the story is finally closed on the Spider-Man franchise and into the universe and opening up to better, better things in the world for the Spider-Man world. I'm just saying I want the fucking movie. Four. Number four, the one I've been waiting for, the one where they have the child, where I get to see the little baby girl. I want four. Is that too much to ask for?
SPEAKER_01Yes. And Marvel would definitely not give it to you.
SPEAKER_05Why wouldn't I think I need Marvel. I think I need Sony.
unknownMarvel.
SPEAKER_05I really don't think I need Marvel. I really do think I need Sony for the one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, Sony owns uh the Spider-Man one. But I mean, you know, they're having a pretty tough time with like, you know, Into the Spider-Verse, and obviously the new Tom Holland movie's gonna come out soon.
SPEAKER_05But let's be real, the Into the Spider-Verse movie is because of the actor, not because of the well, maybe because of the script too, but definitely was because of that.
SPEAKER_01It was because of the animation. They were pretty much brushing them and like doing like real hard hours on the animators. So they just decide to kind of like back up a little bit and be like, all. Right, we'll take our time, you know what I mean? We won't try to crunch it down so fast. So that's it, like a but like you said, you know, it's a whole bunch of external mass and internal mess at the same time. But honestly, Doomsday's definitely if you build this right, and you give me Doomsday, which is, you know, obviously their Doom and Doomsday are gonna come out around the same time. We definitely could have a Barbie and Oppenheimer once again. Because they're both big names, they're both big franchises, and this is something that could really catapult Marvel as a whole to get a little bit of that love back if you pulled this off correctly. Will they? That's kind of the question, though, because you know they're they're their last couple movies could are pretty pretty spotty, so it's hard to know.
SPEAKER_05Spotty, name the last movie you liked, Thunderbolts. I can't rewatch it, so I won't say I like it.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I could rewatch it. That's pretty good.
SPEAKER_05Superman, I watched five times.
SPEAKER_01Alright. Not even I watched that.
SPEAKER_05I only watched it like one time. Superman, I watched like five times.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy.
SPEAKER_05Two times in the theaters, and I think like three times at home.
SPEAKER_01You liked it that much? It was really good. Okay, it was really good. I respect that.
SPEAKER_05And I like it was not like good in like, oh, it's dramatic, hard. Like, bro, it was more of a world-building. It made you want more. It made you want to see a harder villain for him to face. It made you want to see the tag teams, it made you want to see it. And that's what these superheroes movies are supposed to do is make you want to see it.
SPEAKER_00That's a fact.
SPEAKER_05Thunderbolts, are you really ready? Are you really excited for a Thunderbolts 2?
SPEAKER_01I am, honestly. Just because I I liked it because he definitely took us in a darker tone compared to like a regular Marvel movie. This one was funny and it did have its moments, but the the subjects that it talked about were pretty, pretty, pretty deep. And some of the characters and some of the the fact that people almost died on this one. You know what I mean? Like people, you thought people died on Thunderbolts, but obviously it was a whole other thing. But I like that. I like that aspect that this is.
SPEAKER_05Oh, and I also don't like that either. There's no more stakes.
SPEAKER_01I mean, that's kind of been the whole Marvel thing, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02But in the like old movies, people died.
SPEAKER_01People dropped. Only like bad guys. Well, one person died in Thunderbolts. The important one was Taskmaster. In the very beginning of the movie, they killed her off right away. I don't know if you remember that. They shot her in the head.
SPEAKER_05She wasn't that important.
SPEAKER_01No, that's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_05She was not that important.
SPEAKER_01But there is some people that do get dropped. It's just obviously if they want to kill a character, there's a lot of potential stuff you're killing off with it. So you gotta be very picky with what you who you kill and what you kill.
SPEAKER_05But that's what I'm saying. You build up great side characters to kill off. Like, put it this way: remember in Iron Man 1 and he was in the cave?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_05We did not care for the little guy in the glasses before, but now he's so iconic. He has nothing to do with Marvel or nothing to do with the comics. But that dude in the cave that helped out Iron Man to escape is more iconic than half of the people in Thunderbolts.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean that's that's what happens when you make a story right.
SPEAKER_05In Avengers, who was the in who was the guy who was working with Samuel Jackson?
SPEAKER_01Oh, from SHIELD, right?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, SHIELD, the dude that died. Oh they had the cards on them. I know, I know, I know you're gonna be like, You know what I'm talking about? I don't remember his name. I'm sorry, I didn't watch Avengers a long time. Yeah, I might go watch it now. But his death was pretty good, was pretty good.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, has nothing to do with superheroes. I mean, that's kind of but that's what I'm saying. But that's where we're at. You know what I mean? That's what Marvel has fed us.
SPEAKER_05No, but now but now we're at to the point where if we see a death, it has to be a Marvel character, it has to be a superhero, like a main character, it has to be a main character sidekick, it has to be this. You're like, you don't you gotta like any you can build up anybody, dude. Anybody around, any anybody around the hero that stays four or five episodes, and we see that he has troubles and struggles, and you help him, and he gets better and gets better, and he's doing right, and he dies.
SPEAKER_01It doesn't matter who he is, because they hit the peak, and after that, they just didn't really care, right? Like Infinity War and Endgame. I love those two. Well, I don't really care for Endgame, but Infinity War, I love it so much. When they killed what was her name? Thanos' daughter, Gamora, Gamora when she died that hit, because we had already seen her enough times, and and she was a well-ridden character, which is the biggest difference, right?
SPEAKER_05But I feel like they did her they made that death. I think that's where it all started. I think Gamora's death is the reason why this all started. They killed off Gamora, and then in the next episode, the next movie they brung her back, but in a different multiverse that they don't know each other.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So that's what I'm saying. That's how this main character shit started. You realize you had a plot hole where you can kill off an important character that you need in future movies, but you're gonna just bring them back somehow off of some bullshit. We don't need none of that bullshit no more. What I really need is a character like you, Buck, who's interning that shield, who's really good with a weapon, who actually gets to go team up with Hawkeye one day. Y'all go do a little secret mission, y'all win the secret mission. Something happens. He you save Hawkeye, you die. You are the reason why Hawkeye becomes stronger and gets an ultimate buff. That's an iconic moment. You have nothing to do with Marvel. That's what we need. We don't need no more hero deaths. We need niggas like you. Oh.
SPEAKER_01Hopefully, they at least kill half the cast. No, okay. Now hopefully, hopefully they do they do give us because I mean Ironheart, maybe with Endgame, when they took him out, that was the peak. Like, who can you take that is more impactful than him? No, because like they just it's not like but but it wasn't really like it wasn't really a move from then. It's kind of like a move from both parties, right? On the outside, like RDJ. I'm pretty sure he was already tired of playing the same character. He's which is another stupid, stupid thing that just annoys the hell out of me. Because that means like going back to your point. No, continues. Okay, so with his death, it was so important because he was the one that started it all, right? He started the MCU, he started that cinematic verse. I still don't think it should have been him. I mean it should have been Cap. Cap died in his own way, too, but both of we lost two that day.
Stakes Are Gone In Superhero Stories
SPEAKER_05No, but let's think about that's what I'm saying, bro. You can't you can't lose two team captains. So you already knew it depends on who you called Silver Hobore, who whichever side I chose Iron Man. I chose Cap. Okay, so we can so we can agree on how this is gonna play out. Iron Man was the lead captain of Avengers, he was the head honcho. He was a fad. In your eyes, Captain America was the lead captain of Avenger. He was the honcho. So you got Iron Man, you got Iron Man and Cap. One of them can die, both of them can't die. Because look think of this. Once Iron Man died, I didn't I didn't like none of you niggas. I didn't like none of y'all. The only person I respected was Cap. Because he was on my team's level, but then you killed him too. So then you had the rest of them. Now look what we got.
SPEAKER_01And then you had Thor, maybe you fumbled it. Thor's always a solo act. And then you fumbled it.
SPEAKER_05I think even when Thor was with us, he was a solo act. Oh, yeah, yeah. He was never, he was never with one of us. He was just a solo act.
SPEAKER_01No, I mean to carry to carry like marble as a whole.
SPEAKER_05We're never gonna do that. We was we we always use Thor as yo, we're busy. Here's a great person to watch. And he always delivered. Sin Thor by himself is a great show. But what I'm telling you is one of us needed to stay. Cap or Iron Man needed to live to grow the next young Avengers, to find the new fucking Hawkeye, to find Miles Morales, to find uh Chi. Who's the guy in San Francisco that has the Ken Ring? Shang-Chi? Shang-Chi? Shang-Chi to go find him and like make the young Avengers, tell them the stories of Cap and how he was so great. Grow from being from this, oh, I always think about myself to I gotta think about the kids and what's best for the future and become more of a leader. Like they could have done more, but you left, like you could have did that with Iron Man, or you could have did that with Cap.
SPEAKER_02I don't give a fuck who you picked. You can't lose both. And they took both at the same damn time.
SPEAKER_05So that's what I'm telling you. Now we went through the motion of oh, who's the new leader? We're gonna make Falcon Cap with his sidekick, new Falcon. And don't hey hey, don't worry, guys. We used to have hawk. But what's better than a hawk? A red hawk. She hawk! And a red hawk!
SPEAKER_01So stupid.
SPEAKER_05Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. You know how Thor's a god, right? What's better than one god? Six gods! We got the internals! Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. What's better than one marvels? Three Miss Marvels! We got the Miss Marvels! So you see what I'm going here, right?
SPEAKER_01Dude, it's just it's all bad. Just all across.
SPEAKER_05There was no leader to make us say, let's give these young heroes a chance. They wanted us as an audience to give those heroes a chance by themselves. The reason why Tom Holland works so well is because Iron Man introduced him. You think that the Spider-Man fandom will accept a brand new Spider-Man by himself? Solo?
SPEAKER_00Hell no.
SPEAKER_05They gave him so much leeway because of Iron Man. So much leeway because of Iron Man. Now he can hold his own movie. Like now he's able to hold his own movie. But at the beginning, it was rough. Iron Man solo. Like, that's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01I mean, he had to show up in the first one, too, just to save it. Just to save it.
SPEAKER_05So that's what I'm saying. We is it's called Growing to a Character. Even like you know how much I love Miles Morales. Miles Morales is not gonna work unless if Spider-Man introduces us the Miles Morales. Like the cartoon one where it's into the universe, that was because we were in the Spider-Man hype. But even when he was like, remember when the first movie came out, that was getting a lot of backlash. Yeah, a lot of people were hating on it.
SPEAKER_01You know, that's just what happens when you're good.
SPEAKER_05That's what happens when you're good. But I'm just saying, by yourself, it's kind of hard to have new people cling to this new character when they're used to an old character. So that's why you need the old character to find the new character and make him grow up. That's why the fuck we like Robin. Name how many Robins we've been through.
SPEAKER_00Ten of those bitches.
SPEAKER_05Which one do we hate?
SPEAKER_00All of them. No, I'm scared. We don't hate not one of them. We love them all.
SPEAKER_05I think the best one is Red Hood because he was the rogue. He was the crash out. That was the one we needed.
SPEAKER_01That's a real Batman right there.
SPEAKER_05That was the one we needed.
SPEAKER_04I love Damien, but that man was a crash out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's what happens when you come toe-to-toe with a Joker, bro.
SPEAKER_05So yeah, I'm just saying, long, long talking to be shortened. They need to stop making movies thinking that people will like it just because it's a hero movie. You need to start building these characters so we can start loving these characters. Not a fact. I really think we would have loved Ironheart if she if she couldn't afford her tuition and she ran into Stark. And Stark paid for her tuition to go to school. Then she started working under Stark. Then she then like she got in with the bad guys, and then like Stark had a save her. You know, Stark, you know, it would have been better if you had a mentor mentoring mentoring all the young Avengers that we are noticing now and grew to love them because of their mistakes and their hatred because of the old cats, because you know how she was talking shit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05We have somewhere we have someone on the screen to defend the old cats.
SPEAKER_01That's a hell of a way to ruin your freaking your your just ruin your show. Ruin your whole show.
SPEAKER_04It's not even her fault. In the script, it was the writers. Like that how are you gonna go?
SPEAKER_01How are you gonna go and disrespect like a character that people actually love? You're you're a nobody, you're new to the universe. You you can't even you can't even say you're in a genius because Iron Man is right there.
SPEAKER_05Like, I'm not gonna give her no discredit to that. That was all writers. Everyone who was just everyone who was working on that, you have an A-list Iron Heart actor that can play that role perfectly to a T.
SPEAKER_02You just need a better writing crew. That's just that's just Marvel as a whole, right now. You know what I mean? The writing is just terrible. Way better writing crew, bro.
SPEAKER_01That's just unbelievable. That's terrible, bro. And they better bring up their bet they better bring their end game on this one because it's literally the end game.
SPEAKER_05If She Hawk ain't even coming back, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I think I think Hawkeye season two just got canceled.
unknownDamn.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, so I'm like, bro, you you're at a very critical spot, right? You're a multi-billion dollar franchise, and that's not even your part of Disney. You're just Marvel alone, right? So how do you keep giving these writers, or how do you keep letting these writers write all this crap? What happened to the what happened to the good, quirky characters that you gave us? What happened to the serious Captain Americans? What happened to what happened to the the the just ridiculously annoying but badass Ironmans? What happened to those characters you were making? We gotta make this movie be good, or if not, it's over.
Kingsman Tournament Drama And Fallout
SPEAKER_05Yeah, on that note, yeah, Marvel, you really gotta step up or it's over. I'm not even gonna lie to you. Let's talk about the Kingsman drama.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_05So, do you know what's going on with the Kingsman drama, or do you want me to explain it?
SPEAKER_01I got the I got the cis of what's going on.
SPEAKER_05Basically, I feel like I sent you a lot of information on it. Okay, so pretty much the Kingsman drama. This guy is a streamer, and he was in a Marvel Rivals tournament with the streaming group tournament to go play for$40,000. He was making call-outs and this. He had one female streamer trying to be as respectful as I can be. Before I crash out, I want to be as respectful as I can be. One female streamer apparently just snapped at her, saying, like, I don't know why you're taking this seriously. I don't like I don't want to team up with someone with a man that doesn't know how to accept no all the time as a streamer is crazy. Yeah, bro.
SPEAKER_02You're in a tournament.
SPEAKER_05Say that is crazy in a game.
SPEAKER_01You're in a tournament.
SPEAKER_05So she was talking a lot. Whatever happened, he got kicked from the tournament, got kicked out of everything, and was just like shit out of luck. A week passed. I mean, one week passed. Hella drama happened, bro. So she lost her sponsorships. One of the sponsorships went to her, his stream went up a whole 3,000 viewers. He was getting donated$100, and like it got to the point where he kept asking people to stop donating. She's saying apologies that all are fake. You can like hear the fakeness.
SPEAKER_01Apparently, it was made by Chat GBT.
SPEAKER_05You can hear the fakeness of the apology. So, like, she's supposedly apologizing online. You know how the internet gets when they get good drama like this. So they're eating it up like they're wolves. My question to you is you watched the video, right? You've seen what happened. Pretty sure everyone who's listened to this seen what happened. Let me ask you something real quick, Buck. What would you do?
SPEAKER_01I would absolutely lose my shit. This was a$40,000 tournament. If that the cut that he was gonna make, if they won, was 3k. He was carrying that team. At the end of it all, they're gonna be. Apparently she went zero and five. Dude, they got second to last place after they kicked him out. Terrible. They did terrible.
SPEAKER_05And I don't even have I don't even have my phone, but in my rank game, I have a 30, I have a 32 kill, two deaths, and 37 assists as Jeff in a rank match. And that's a healer. And she had 0-0-5. I just want to clarify, being a healer, you're not supposed to have the you're not supposed to have more than 20 kills. That's crazy. If you're having 20 kills, you're going crazy as a healer. So like I just want to say right now, what would you do if you were in that situation? What would you say to her?
SPEAKER_01Bro, I'll be like, if you're not here to win, get the out of here. Get out of here, bro. Because that's what he was there for. He was there to get some college tuition money. Oh, yeah. And she wasn't.
SPEAKER_02How much like he had to pay Crawish tuition?
SPEAKER_01So, like, yeah, I mean, that that's why, like, even if they went to the show.
SPEAKER_05That should have been the cause for y'all to win.
SPEAKER_01They didn't care. They actually cared more. One of them actually went out and she went, like, oh, I have like six or seven courses. And I'm like, bro, you already look. Well, this all came out before it blew up, right? So they were talking.
SPEAKER_05She did.
SPEAKER_01They were talking their own little thing. They were saying that.
SPEAKER_05She was talking her shit because she thought she was in the right. Exactly. Hey, I'm in the right. Ha ha.
SPEAKER_01This is not gonna be a big issue. Nobody's gonna care. Nobody's gonna side with him.
SPEAKER_05Now you lost all your supporters. You're out of Twitch. They banned you from Twitch. You can't go anywhere. They're going after every supporter you have.
SPEAKER_01That is dude. He has like when he's streaming Marvel Rivals, he has like 25,000 viewers.
SPEAKER_04He should, bro. Like what happened.
SPEAKER_01And people are donating to him. They're donating 500. Someone I think donated like 3,000. He made like$3,000 in one hour. Buck, you know me, right? Like five minutes. I'm sorry, in like five minutes, he made that.
SPEAKER_05I know. Buck, you know me, right? Yeah. You understand. You don't understand me, right? Yeah. You understand the crash out moments I have, right? Yeah. Do you understand what I would have said to her? I can't say it on the podcast, but do you understand?
SPEAKER_01All the like do you I would have gone back to 1980s. And that's that's why you wouldn't have gotten the support. You would have come out looking like the bad guy. Oh, 100%. So, you know, Kingsman took it to the chin. 40 million.
SPEAKER_04Which is fucking dollars, bro. Which is why$40,000.
SPEAKER_05And no, this ain't this ain't this ain't supposed to be the nice competition of all my feelings and my sur$40,000, buck. Get the fuck off my team.
SPEAKER_01No, and that's you know, obviously, Kingsman took it in the chin. He just kind of moved on. And that's why Kingsman is a cool dude. You know what I mean? Like he took it all. He obviously did not start attacking nobody. He kind of did his. He did his own thing, and people looked at him and they saw what he did and what he said.
SPEAKER_05Remember when she said annoying? I would have I would have flipped out. I would have threw the headset. I would have took my shirt off. I would have been like, okay, girl. You want to do this? Let's do this. I'm gonna bring you straight to a man's world. This is about to be a Batman scene. No, it ain't Mr. High no more. I'm Batman. This is for everybody.
SPEAKER_01No, I mean, look at him now. You know, he's bigger than all of them now. Oh no, I that's what happens. That's what happens when you're root for that.
SPEAKER_05I root for that. Like a guy like that. I root for that. I hope he runs with all the drama. I hope he gets as much money as he can stack up. And then girls like that, females like that, that players like that. No, it's just like, yo, you you're a streamer and you're a gaming streamer and you're in a tournament gaming streaming and you're not taking it seriously.
SPEAKER_01It's a bad look for anybody.
SPEAKER_05For anybody seriously.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but it's a terrible look.
SPEAKER_05So that means you really are streaming on your looks. You're really hoping that people are simping for you. You're not streaming because of gaming, you're not streaming because you're passionate of streaming, you're streaming because you're cute, and you want game and you want goon gooners, really, to literally just sub to you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05If you're not good at gaming and you stream, and that's all you do.
SPEAKER_01Oh, wait, that's that's why they were kind of you know, that's why they were talking a little bit of shit, because they didn't need the money, he needed it, they didn't need it, which is why they were they were talking so much.
SPEAKER_05You don't even need the money. You have like 15,000 glooners, right?
SPEAKER_01That's why she was doing it for the vibes. And now what? You lost your sponsors, people do not like you. You were pretty much a fairly you were a big streamer, but compared to him now, you know. He's the hero, right? Like he came out this in shining armor.
SPEAKER_05Oh, bro. He's a man that like a lot of men look up to because there's no way we all done that.
SPEAKER_02No, and like and it's like fuck, even you, would you say it that nice? Nah, dude, I would have lost my shit. I would have lost my shit. Dude, it would have been better.
SPEAKER_05Did you see how the tone she did it? Dude, she stopped playing? Then she stopped playing in the tournament. Let's put it there. She stopped playing, stared at a wall to talk down to him.
SPEAKER_01No, dude. Everybody else, literally, everybody else would have come out looking like the bad guy. Because they would have proved the point. They would have snapped and done said all types of crazy shit.
SPEAKER_05And then all the guys on that on that squad, y'all are not getting away from this. Y'all are straight gooners, too, by just agreeing with the girl, not thinking that it is$40,000. And even if you don't need it, maybe someone in your crew does need it. And as a guy gamer, you should respect that and get off of a spiritual of trying to win this for that. Like, bro, gaming. I know people game. I know bros gaming. I know what bro gaming is. I don't care if you're on a team. I don't care if you just met him. I don't care if it's the first time you played with this guy. Tell me if I'm lying, I'm flying. Buck. When you game with someone, it doesn't matter what game it is. It could be Marvel Rivals, it could be Minecraft, it could be whatever. Once y'all two are in that gaming and y'all are set, y'all treating both of your player characters like it is the last time we are going to see each other. This is live or die. Don't care if it's a wolf attacking us in Minecraft or if there's someone shooting you at in Marvel. We are treating this like we don't want to, we don't want to lose each other.
SPEAKER_01That's a fact. You gotta take it seriously, or don't take it at all.
SPEAKER_05Or don't play. Isn't that a gamer? That's a gamer in all status. Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_01Shit, people people hate each other just by a regular game. Imagine when there's money on the line. Imagine what there's grands on the line.
SPEAKER_05Grands on the line? No, actually. We're talking about us. I'm talking about Marvel 2. I'm not Marvel Marvel Warfare 2 days. Back in the old days, Russ days. You spazzed out on your boy just because he was missing shots. There was no money on the line. We actually were fucking up the money because we were missing school.
SPEAKER_01No, I mean, and you know, the fact, like, you know, just the fact that he that his reaction to it tells you everything you need to know, right? Because he took the more calm reaction out of the two. Shoot, they came out looking worse because they actually had things to say.
SPEAKER_04He just Oh, they tripled down.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, he just was like, all right, well, you know, technically it kind of is what it is, because I need the money. They don't. They walked me over, they walked over me, so you know.
SPEAKER_05I'm not gonna say it because our podcast ain't for that. Hear that political insult she did to him.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, dude. That was that was that's so stupid. What's the connection there? Like, you know what I mean? Just like you're in the wrong here. Oh, sorry, is that what it means? You're in the wrong?
SPEAKER_05I know. Like you could just say that, and then automatically that person's in the wrong.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's so You're politically on the wrong. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05What you're politically wrong, I'm right.
SPEAKER_01Just because you don't agree with me?
SPEAKER_05Buck gaming. Political.
SPEAKER_01Is it about the vibes or is it about the money?
SPEAKER_05Buck. I said political, you gotta say you're wrong. Like what? You can't bring political and gaming. That's not how fucking works.
SPEAKER_01It's so dumb, dude. Especially when you should know you're in the wrong, right? Like, you can't just try to. I don't know. It was someone came out looking bad, and it definitely was not Kingsman.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, no. Well, after her apologies, would you accept it?
SPEAKER_01There's nothing to accept, you know what I mean? Like, like I I I made She apologized like four times online. That's just they lose everything, you know what I mean? Like, the more you apologize, the less it holds value. That's just that's fucked up.
SPEAKER_05But nah, to be fair, she's probably just apologizing and turned down the heat, but whatever.
SPEAKER_01Almost like hey, she already lost sponsors, bro. Like, you know she's panicking. Like all of them.
SPEAKER_05Oh, they're all they're all panicking.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they're all panicking.
SPEAKER_05Well, she she's banned from Twitch now. Oh, for real? Yeah, like Twitch banned her account. She is not like she is not on Twitch right now.
SPEAKER_01That's that's crazy. I mean, I don't know if they should go that far, you know what I mean? I feel like this is more like an internal thing.
SPEAKER_05It's it's an internal thing, but it became a Twitch problem once she got banned from a tournament. Then that's money involved, that's uh that's a lot of thing moving objects involved. Twitch is hosting the tournament, streaming of the tournament.
SPEAKER_01I just think I just think Twitch hates coming out looking bad at any point. You know what I mean? 100%. So that's why they they always pick and choose who to ban. It's like, bro, if you if you have a category and you stick to it, all your biggest people will be banned, basically. Like, all because but at the same time, some people hold more value than others, which is why they get away with so much crap. And they get banned for two two hours. Yeah, it's so stupid. That's why Twitch has no spine.
SPEAKER_05TV streamers, remember this. TV streamers get special treatment.
SPEAKER_01That's what I'm saying. Like, they have no spine.
SPEAKER_05These are gaming streamers, this is a whole different level. I don't even think they get kind of half of that streaming. The gaming streamers are one in a million. Every gaming streamer is born every single Saturday. Every single Saturday there's a new gaming streamer.
SPEAKER_01That's very true. Yeah. There's so many of them.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_05It's not like you're an IRL streamer that's streaming in a mansion that's with LeBron James. I only get one of those.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I only got one of those. You're right. You're right.
SPEAKER_05I can't really punish that kid. I can't punish his kids.
SPEAKER_02That's true.
SPEAKER_05I can punish you though.
SPEAKER_02Don't get it twisted, girl. I can punish you. You're nobody.
UFC 322 Picks And Betting Talk
SPEAKER_05Nobody. But talking about punishment. You're uh ready? UFC UFC 322. Lay it on me, brother. What's going on?
SPEAKER_01Man, I am so excited for tomorrow.
SPEAKER_05And you're on a time limit because we're almost up.
SPEAKER_01I'm I'm so excited for the 324. It's just I've been waiting for like six weeks. I have no new fights, and then I was just losing my mind. But this is it, bro. This is the first paramount card. It's already not looking too good, but at least I know two of your favorite fighters are on it. So what are you thinking?
SPEAKER_04Oh, Batty the Baddy. Oh, Batty the Betty. Oh, Betty the Paddie.
SPEAKER_01It's gonna be a good fight. I'm excited for that. I'm super excited. And I know Sean O'Malley's also in it.
SPEAKER_05Two pieces, two piece and a biscuit. Sean O'Malley! Oh Mally. I can't wait. I'm gonna be so excited for those two.
SPEAKER_01I'm super hyped. Predictions? Well, Patty and Sean, right?
SPEAKER_04Patty and Oh.
SPEAKER_01Alright, alright.
SPEAKER_04Oh, Patty Love. Oh Mally! Oh Patty Love.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm thinking, I'm thinking on the feet, I'm gonna give it to Justin Gagey. But if it goes down to the floor, because Patty has actually very good submission abilities, I feel like Patty will get that. But I will give it to Sean, though. Sean Sean is still Sean, so I feel like he's gonna win that one easily. Or not easily, but he's gonna win it.
SPEAKER_05Like I said, bro, I don't watch UFC to watch UFC to all the fighters. I watch my favorite fighters. Two of my favorite fighters are fighting, putting so much money on them.
SPEAKER_00Oh God.
SPEAKER_05Oh, you thought what what did you think I was gonna do?
SPEAKER_01Watch him. Not put money on it.
SPEAKER_05You wanna put money on it?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_0550 bucks?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_0540 bucks?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_0530 bucks?
SPEAKER_01No. 20 bucks? No. 50 bucks? No.
SPEAKER_03Five bucks.
SPEAKER_01No. We're good. I'll already be embarrassed enough if my pigs lose.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god, dude. I just want to bet.
SPEAKER_01Not with me, bro. Sorry. Go to Vegas.
SPEAKER_05I just wish you could bet with me.
SPEAKER_01I could, but I don't want to. Well, whatever. You mean.
SPEAKER_05But UFC, UFC 322, we'll talk about it. You'll either give me sad or high, but how I feel about it is just Sean O'Malley and it's gonna be good. Anything else, it doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_01First permanent cord. Hopefully it's good.
SPEAKER_05It's supposed to be a a good female fight. I forgot.
SPEAKER_01Nope. They Amanda Nunes versus Harrison. Harrison had to get surgery, so they're out. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So now it's just up to Patty the Batty and Justin Gagey. So if it's a bad fight, the whole card, throw away the whole card. Okay. All right.
SPEAKER_05Well, let's talk about Netflix and Moppa. You know more about this, so lay it on me and I'll give you my reaction. Now we're into the anime, people. We're into the good stuff. We're into the home stretch.
SPEAKER_01Well, Netflix and Moppa just, you know, just United hands and they're gonna give us an original anime. So I'm excited for that. Obviously, now it's probably not gonna go. It's not gonna go to Crunchyroll. Since Moppa, most of the stuff that goes to Crunchyroll, it's most likely gonna go to Netflix right away. So I'm very excited for that. I'm gonna see. It's Moppa, so you know they're gonna probably give us something good. If it's an original though, ah, I don't know. That might be that might be eafy. But Netflix has has shown us that it could produce pretty good products for the most part.
SPEAKER_05So am I what I got a problem with this is are they exclusive now?
SPEAKER_00I think it's just for this one.
SPEAKER_05See, that's that's my only question about this. Netflix and MAPA team up is if you have all of MAPA's archive and it's only exclusive, like all the new series are only on Netflix, that is a that's a monopoly. That's a lot, that's a lot of good anime. That's a lot of the top hitters just gone. JJK, like that's a lot, a lot of my favorites.
SPEAKER_01I mean, that would involve like Crunchyroll and stuff like that, because Crunchyroll has most of them.
SPEAKER_05But but I do but their deal is ending, that's why they did this deal.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I see what you're saying. So that's why I'm saying that would make Netflix overpowered as hell.
SPEAKER_05Remember like how Tokyo Revengers got bought from Disney, and now like all the seasons are on Disney Hulu and shit, and no one talks about it. Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01No, I mean Netflix, at least for the most part, has given us has showed us that they could give us good quality. Like, I don't know if you ever saw Castlevania.
SPEAKER_05I hate that shit.
SPEAKER_01Dude, I love that show. I feel like that's that was Netflix's might and showed one good episode and then four seasons of trash. What? Did we watch the same Castlevania? Yes. You're out of your mind, dude. That show was great from beginning to end, and the last season was ridiculously epic. I don't know where how you come back from that. It was amazing.
SPEAKER_05The only thing I cared about is when they killed his wife, and then he came back and he was like, alright, y'all.
SPEAKER_01Bro, that wasn't even the main story. That was like the prequel to the main story. How did you not even watch the main story?
SPEAKER_05That was the good part.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. How much did you watch?
SPEAKER_05Season one, season two. I'll give you credit there. I guess if you don't like it. Yeah, I don't. I'm not like you're not going to be able to do it. No, I mean, if you don't like it, if you don't like it, you know. I struggled through season one, and then they came out with season two. I struggled through season two, and I was like, all right, I'm not watching season three or four.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy though, because Castlevania was a smashing season season.
SPEAKER_05No, it was not. It was terrible. It was great. It was straight terrible.
SPEAKER_01I mean, you don't like it, sure, but it was great.
SPEAKER_05Well, yeah, I guess it probably did numbers because it kept getting series.
SPEAKER_01It got four seasons, and it got another spinoff. And they're getting movies and stuff like that, too. So it's been great. You know, I mean, I I get that. I I I kind of see what you mean by the hater perspective. It is kind of annoying. But I'm sorry. You see, it's annoying as fuck. It's deep root.
SPEAKER_04It's annoying as fuck to deal with when you know everyone else in the world fucks with it, and you're the only piece of shit that keeps saying that's bad.
SPEAKER_01I can respect that. It is, yeah, it is I'm sorry. It's it's in my DNA, bro. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_05I I just like it's just the funny factor that you finally understand that what you do pisses everyone off.
SPEAKER_01I I respect that. I can respect that. I can respect that.
SPEAKER_05But this is gonna be respect you right now. I just can't, I really can't respect you right now, bro. But no. I know how can you comment me for hating for the first time ever?
SPEAKER_01Usually, you know, usually the things that you like, I don't like, but I was actually shocked that you don't like Castlevania. It it just it took me off. It just it just took me off a little bit. That's it.
SPEAKER_05Whatever. I'm just saying. But yeah, the Moppa and Netflix thing, 100%. It might be a good thing for anime, it might be a terrible thing for anime. Well, scratch that. It's gonna be a terrible thing for Crunchyroll. Because without those, without Moppa, you're really almost out of products for people to keep buying.
SPEAKER_01At least quality ones.
SPEAKER_05Like quality ones for people to buy subscriptions.
SPEAKER_01If you want to watch any stupid slop, go to Crunchyroll, it's all there.
SPEAKER_05It's all there. Like if you want to watch bullshit, yeah, it's all there.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. So I mean, honestly, like, yeah, if Moppo, if if Moppa and Netflix decide to go exclusive, that would definitely put a big strain on like everything, every other anime, because that all the big hitters do come out from Moppa, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05Like that means the Demon Slayer movie wouldn't even go on Crunchyroll, it'll go to Netflix.
SPEAKER_01And that means probably no theater releases. Maybe once in a once in a blue moon, they'll give us like a theater release.
SPEAKER_05Is that why they said they're not releasing the fucking movie for a whole nother year?
SPEAKER_02I mean, they just made just made bank, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05No, even though you made bank, the movie's over. No one's gonna buy a CD, no one's gonna buy a disc, no one's gonna do all the extra shit for that bullshit. You're not letting us buy it on any streaming platform, and you're not letting us buy the outright movie, right? Why would you leave all that extra money on the table? Unless if you're holding that movie that you know that everyone wants to watch again.
SPEAKER_01Holding a hostage.
SPEAKER_05For a streaming platform to bid on it. I think that's why they did it. I really do think that's why they don't like bro. Think about it. Think about it for a second. Why can't you not buy the Demon Slayer movie and watch it?
SPEAKER_01That would be so stupid, dude. But think about that. That's why. That would be that would that would be Netflix is always complaining about how oh they need to raise up prices and stuff like that because they don't make money. I'm like, bro, if you put some of the movies which are good in the theaters, you're gonna make 200 million dollars. 300, 400, 500 million dollars. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05No, do you know how much money they would have made if they put Irishmen on them in the theaters? Dude, it's like that's that's why it's so they would have made so much money with the Irishman. Like, they don't understand like how much people would have watched that movie.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. No, I mean that's why it's it's frustrating because I'm like, you see the potential, right? Like, what a theater experience is completely different from a home experience. If you put me one of those movies and the theater, you can bet your ass I'm there and I'm gonna pay my ticket and I'm gonna watch that movie because I wanna experience it. I don't want to see it. So Netflix, once in a while, does give us quality stuff that we could go to the theaters, but they don't want to do that. It's ridiculous. It's so annoying, dude. And as a as a theater fan, it's frustrating, and that's kind of where we're going, though. Like there's no denying the fact that all these streaming giants are buying everything up, and uh someday the theaters are gonna close because people just there's nothing good.
SPEAKER_05Well, I'm pretty sure that's what I'm pretty sure that's where we're going. Because now that I'm thinking about it, there's no other reason for us not to be able to watch this movie right now. Today, there should be a way to be able to buy that movie and turn it on and watch it. But there ain't. Yeah, you can't. Sub or dub. You just can't buy that movie right now.
SPEAKER_00So stupid, dude.
SPEAKER_05So there's only one option, is yo, and I'm telling you right now, the power of animators checkbook is noticed in the Hollywood business. Oh, definitely. So that bid is that bid's a lot. We're at least we're at least worth a bill.
SPEAKER_01Dude, and the the the the scary part to me is Netflix is known for canceling stuff. Netflix is known for canceling things, and so if they give us something good, and it actually cost them some money, they might just cancel it at season one. Yeah, and that's what I'm scared of. If Netflix But they're not gonna cancel JJK or Demon Son. No, I mean those are already set, you know what I mean? I'm saying something new. Imagine something fresh, a good new story that people are like, I love this, let me get season two. Cut. Why? Because it cost them some money. Like it's frustrating, and that's kind of the way I see things going. They're they're not gonna do that to everything, but there is gonna be some good quality stuff that they're just gonna cut out because they're like, oh.
SPEAKER_05No, I do believe that because the Seven Seeds project was a good anime, and they did cut that, so we never got our third season of that, and that was a great anime. Like, if you haven't watched that anime, that was a great anime. I'll be very honest with you. Yeah, no, I just really think that Moppa uh I don't know if they made the right choice here. I think they did. It's all money.
SPEAKER_01It's the they made the money choice. Hear me out.
SPEAKER_05If it was between if they if Moppa came up to me right now and we were on a phone call and they said, Hey, I know you don't like our decision, but let me tell you right now, we were leaving Crunchyroll no matter what, and it was between Netflix and Disney. Which one would you make me pick?
SPEAKER_01Bro, both terrible, disgusting options, but most likely Netflix.
SPEAKER_05Netflix, you know. Yeah, like you know, if I'm sitting there for five minutes really the banana, yeah, I will rather have you in the control of Netflix.
SPEAKER_01You know, Netflix is not Greenland in any of these fucking anime projects.
SPEAKER_05Oda's already there. Maybe Oda can give y'all a little leeway with his light, like a little leeway. Like, I am not trusting you with Disney at all. Disney has fucked up every single anime they lay their fingers on. Even Bleach, even how good Bleach is right now, they don't even give the promotion of Bleach its credit and deserve due. They treat it like a fucking cartoon.
SPEAKER_01I don't I mean, I understand why all these streaming giants want a piece of the anime pie because it's growing and it's growing fast. I get it. But you're fucking up what we do like. You know what I mean? You're messing up what we like, you're cutting things, you're cutting into places that don't need to be cut.
SPEAKER_05Oh, 100%.
SPEAKER_01So I don't know 100%.
SPEAKER_05That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01Like, you don't like they're really cutting everything. Yeah. It's frustrating, dude. It's it's so frustrating because a lot of good quality stuff could be made, is being made, and it's being cut at the same time. And it's like it's it's this weird stagnation of a little bit of growth, and then you that you gotta move on to the next thing, a little bit of growth, and it's just that's just the beginning of it all, you know what I mean? So imagine once they do completely own up everything, it would cut.
SPEAKER_05I don't know. I'm just a little nerve. I'm a nervous right now for the new animes on the block. But to be fair, y'all needed this. Crunchyroll's been letting y'all get away with some bullshit animes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Crunchyroll, you gotta step up, bro.
SPEAKER_05No, no, no.
SPEAKER_01Crunchyroll has been lost thing is disgusting.
SPEAKER_05Like, I don't like Netflix and Disney because I love them, but when it comes to anime, they're cutthroat. Well, maybe we need some cutthroat in the world, bro. Maybe we do need some little heartbreak fucking animes that maybe you like. Some of these animes don't deserve a fucking show.
SPEAKER_01It's like, I don't get it, dude. That they just do it for the views, but I feel like it shouldn't be that worth it. The views shouldn't be that worth it, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05Like, remember how crazy Spy Family was?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Now who talks about it?
SPEAKER_01Done. You know what I mean? It's kind of it's here and then it's gone, and it's just nope as people don't reminisce about it as much.
SPEAKER_05No, the first are doing in this season.
SPEAKER_01I feel I feel like the first couple seasons, people were really like oh, the first two seasons, bro? Yeah, people would go be like, Oh, you know, you gotta watch this, you gotta go back and watch this. It's like, okay, cool.
SPEAKER_05Cool, cool, cool, cool. What about now?
SPEAKER_01Nothing, it's just kind of here and then it's gone.
SPEAKER_05So that's what I'm saying, bro. Like, we we got hyped about this story and we didn't give a fuck about the ending. How the fuck did you become an anime? Wait, you're telling, like, we don't even care if you like became a family, if he left the spy organization, if she stopped being an assassin. Like, we don't give a fuck about none of these things now.
SPEAKER_01Dude, that's that's other like production problems, too. You know what I mean? Writing and production problems. Because the story's already said. That's the thing. That's what's frustrating about a lot of these animes. The story's already set in paper, but then the director comes in and the writers come in and they're like, some of this gotta go. And you gotta condense the story, and then next thing you know, you're jumping all over the place and you don't know what the fuck you're watching.
SPEAKER_05I'm over this. I'm just saying right now, they need to figure something out. But Netflix, please do goodbye, MAPA.
SPEAKER_00That's a fact.
SPEAKER_05That's all I gotta ask. Don't don't don't screw this up. But to be fair, every time I said don't screw this up, you haven't screwed this up. I feel like because you tried by yourself in all of those failures, after failure, after failure, like multiple fucking failures of anime and anime live fucking they need some muscle, live action. I think you realize that you're gonna just make a studio that already knows how to do this and just pay them to launch it on your platform.
SPEAKER_01And they went for the best one too.
SPEAKER_05They really did, bro.
SPEAKER_01They really did. If Netflix kills Moppa, if Netflix kills Moppa, this is gonna set things back 10 years.
SPEAKER_05Nah, because even if they even if they kill Moppa, we won't get the Moppa experience, but the same like developers and same C D GIRs, like they'll all just scatter.
SPEAKER_01That's what I'm saying. Like that that's what that's what makes Moppa so great. The fact that you can keep him in one place. If they all scatter, they're all gonna take like middle positions. You know what I mean? Get we might get something better, but it's usually we might get capa. It's usually that the right.
SPEAKER_05We might get sepa. What the hell is that? Just different moppas.
SPEAKER_02Just different moppas.
SPEAKER_01So dope. Different forms. Different teams and everything.
JJK Hype And Dub vs Sub
SPEAKER_05CNA's fucking. Oh man. But um, yeah, no. Anyway, anime is gonna be going crazy this year. We got Farron, we got JJK, we got hella new animes popping out. So anime is gonna be crazy this year. We're obviously gonna have to start talking a lot more of anime, getting anime more mixed into the podcast. But I'm hyped. I'm ready for them to I'm ready for anime to get in here. They've been boring me. Like, I'm not gonna just talk about anime just to talk about anime. I'll talk about some funny subjects, I'll talk about some funny moments, I'll talk about fucking some shit that's happening in the anime world that people need to know about, but fuck talking about it like it's just some bullshit. I'm not gonna be able to.
SPEAKER_01If it's not good, we're not talking about it. Sorry. Sorry, we might throw a little jab, but you know I'll throw a couple jabs, I'll throw a hella jabs.
SPEAKER_05Fucking every time you every time I bring up one punch man to you, you get this frown on your face automatically, which is hilarious in my eyes. So I always try to bring it up as many times as I can. So when's season three coming out?
SPEAKER_01I don't even know. I'm I'm going the you route. I'm not watching the sub. I'm watching the dub. I'm waiting for the dub because it's it's so disappointing. It's not even worth trying to rush it. It's not even worth it.
SPEAKER_05Oh man, I haven't even watched JJK yet because I'm waiting for the dub. How's JJK?
SPEAKER_01Bro, you gotta watch it. It's episode four was amazing. I would probably say episode four. So four, one of my favorite episodes out of the whole franchise. Really? Well, at least like top five. Really? Yes. I loved it. It was amazing. And I know you're waiting for the dub, but you can't do that on animes like JJK, bro. You gotta be in it. You gotta go every moment as it comes. And episode four is not important to this story, but it's important to the anime because it's a it's a it's a peak moment. You know what I mean? It's a moment that is gonna definitely stand out with some of the other great episodes they gave us in the past. Unless they manage to beat it, which they might because we're just getting started. Do you know how many episodes we're getting? What is it like 12? I'm guessing regular anime. I don't know. Oh, I mean, I I wanna say minimum 12, maximum 24.
SPEAKER_05I really wish solo leveling came out right now, just so I could prove a fucking point.
SPEAKER_00Dude.
SPEAKER_05Just no, I just really wish solo leveling came out season three or season whatever season they on, whatever they're talking about, whatever they're like. I just wish. I wish on everything I love that it came out right now. Just so I could prove a point.
SPEAKER_01Sorry, solo leveling is in production.
SPEAKER_05I'm just saying it dodged, it dodged Demon Slayer, it dodged JJK, it's dodging all the big hitters, and then it's gonna come out right when doll shit comes out and say, oh, here's the real big hitter. I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_01Hey, bro, you never know. I mean, people were saying Frey Run was smoke was ducking to smoke, but we're going off at the same time. So it's gonna be it's gonna be good, dude. I'm so excited. You know what I mean? It's a good, it's a good January, good month for anime.
SPEAKER_05You know my nickname for Fairness? What? FF.
SPEAKER_00Okay. That's cool.
SPEAKER_01Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Relaxate.
SPEAKER_05Bro, that show is so boring.
SPEAKER_01Dude, it's so great.
SPEAKER_05Dude, I passed out three times watching that show.
SPEAKER_01I just watched season two, episode two today. I low-key shed a tear.
SPEAKER_05How do you even?
SPEAKER_01I'm not gonna lie to you. I low-key shed a tear. That that shit was so peak.
SPEAKER_05And you won't watch My Hero.
SPEAKER_01No. Well, maybe, I don't know, maybe some sometime down the future, if I watch it with my siblings or something, and while I'm on my phone or something.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, fuck fair. I won't keep that hate just because of the disrespect you're giving me. No, the fucking franchise that actually had a good franchise run versus a franchise that has a cult running.
SPEAKER_01I don't know, man. This one is a little bigger than a cult.
SPEAKER_05Name every cult show you watched. That's a big list, though. I know, but they all failed. They all failed. It's not really the problem.
SPEAKER_01It's not really the problem.
SPEAKER_05One Punch Man, animation problem, animation, animation problem.
SPEAKER_02And what do you think is gonna happen to Farron?
SPEAKER_01The quality's there right now. What could happen to something like JJ Core? You never know.
SPEAKER_02Was there quality there on season one and two of your cult? Bro, look at one punch man season one.
SPEAKER_01Look at that quality. But that's what I'm saying. I'm just saying, I'm just saying right now it's really out of the control of the anime because it's the animation problem which kills it. It's all the background stuff. The story's set, the story's great, but the background stuff, you're talking, you're talking the animation, you're talking the writing. That's all individual people's problem, not the anime's problem. But don't put that on me, bro. Do not put that on Frerein right now because I was gonna really cry.
SPEAKER_05It's gonna happen. It's gonna happen. It's not gonna happen. It's gonna happen. It happens every time. You do this every time. You you hype up season one, you which is good. You hype up season two, which is okay, but never better than season one. Then you hype up season three, always fucking terrible. You hype up season four saying they're gonna redeem themselves. Guess what, bro? They never do. You hype up season five because oh, this is the final event. I promise you they're gonna do something here. And guess what, bro? You come in here saying that shit disappointed me. It's a terrible show, and now you're gonna get at me? You're gonna come at me because I'm telling you that the cult show is gonna do the same numbers like all your other fucking shows.
SPEAKER_01I can't believe you're calling One Punch Man at Cult Show, bro. That was a smash of success when it came out. It broke all types of records. If OnePunch Man would have gotten the same amount of even attention, like one-tenth the attention of something like My Hero, you know damn well that shit would have been breaking records. But it didn't. I don't know why. They gave us one great season, then they decide to give it to some shitty ass third-party studio that said, Alright, let me rub it through my cheeks. Then they decided to give it to that same studio and tell them what I'm gonna give you less budget.
SPEAKER_05Let me pause it in for a moment.
SPEAKER_01Hold up, let me No, no, no, wait, wait, let me finish. Let me finish. And then they just decide to just give us frame by frame, no, no, no smoothness, no absolutely love to the fucking project. They just decided to give us bull shit. Third season was garbage. And I'm sorry, I'm sorry that I love some of the things that I love. I just happen to love pretty deeply. And if you saw season three, have you? No. Okay, you would know exactly why the fuck I call this soap in weekly by week when everyone. It's already done. Oh, it's already over? Yeah, it's already over. I mean, the dub's catching up, but it's already over. There's at least like eight episodes.
SPEAKER_05Oh, I'll watch it now.
SPEAKER_01Terrible, bro. I know you hate it. I watch it now. I know that I I I used to talk a lot of shit about season two. Granted, I didn't know how bad we were gonna fall. I didn't know how bad we were gonna fall. I know. If I would have known it would have been this bad, I would have held some of it back. But now that I know that it's so garbage that the internet as a whole was clowning it, it breaks my heart.
SPEAKER_05This is the same thing that's gonna happen to Faron.
SPEAKER_01Bro, don't say that. I never said that about my hero. Don't say that. I'm just saying. I always gave my hero credit. Yeah, I never liked it, but I always give my hero credit, and I always told you when it finished, it held its own value.
SPEAKER_05My hero hold his own and also did the most. I'm telling you how Farron comes and goes in anime world, and I promise you by season three, there's gonna be better animes out there where that's cool. Let me finish. There's gonna be better animes out there for that producing organization that's making animes, they're gonna put Farron on the backtail. If Farron does not win an award this year, they're not gonna be on the top of the list of that studio. And guess why they're not gonna win an award this year?
SPEAKER_01Because JJK. Okay. No, I mean, I get that. I get that. That's why last year I wasn't tripping too much. Well, actually, last year I was tripping because it was against solo leveling. I was losing my shit. I can't believe solo leveling won. It had nothing except more hype.
SPEAKER_05Hype was real.
SPEAKER_01I get that. Hype was against something like JJK. I so I'm not delusional enough to be like, it deserves it, it deserves it. I get it. This is JJK. This is bigger, this is bigger than the biggest anime. But yeah, so I'm not I'm not delusional enough. I'm not delusional enough to say it deserves it.
SPEAKER_05And then Chase All Man came out the movie, like, bro, you it has no chance. Yeah, no, it's zero it has zero chance off of music, fight choreography, CGI, male character, second role character, third role character. It ain't winning shit.
SPEAKER_01But if it comes time to voting, you bet your ass I'm voting for Farron.
SPEAKER_05You know it's gonna say 1%.
SPEAKER_01Nah, it'll be more than that. But but JJK. 1% JJK sweeping without a doubt.
SPEAKER_05Let me tell you right now, if that if the anime wars come out and the list says Farron, JJK, Chainsaw Man, Black Clover, and what was that other? Oh, if my show comes out this year, Kagurabachi. Farron loses. So bad.
SPEAKER_01I don't know about bad. It does lose, but I don't know about bad.
SPEAKER_05So bad. People people are riding pretty hard. So bad.
SPEAKER_01It's a cult. Everything is a fucking cult. Everything has a cult fan base. Unless you're big and casual.
SPEAKER_05That's not a cult.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. There's all how many, how many big animes can you up of JJK's level can you mention?
SPEAKER_05Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man, Black Clover.
SPEAKER_01Chainsaw Man is definitely getting there, but they haven't given us that one.
SPEAKER_05Watch when the second season drops. That's gonna be a big one.
SPEAKER_01That's gonna be a big one.
Frieren Debate And Movie Money Arguments
SPEAKER_05The movie made it even worse how big the pop's gonna be. But it's up there. I wanted to guarantee you right there, it's up there. So that one, JJK, Demon Slayer, Black Clover. Well, I'm not gonna name any of the big three because that's obvious. Solo's up there, but I personally don't respect Solo's way of how they're pursuing anime. But they're up there, you know. They got the hype, they got the casual fans. Broke too many stupid records. Yeah, so they're up there. Who else is up there? There's a couple. Oh, Hell's Paradise. Hell's Paradise is a casual show.
SPEAKER_02And that's like it's not that yet. It's on the limit. It's like right there, dude. Everyone knows about it.
SPEAKER_05It's not even like it's not even like it's a hinted. Like, not a lot of people know about Farron. You can't walk up to a girl or you can't walk up to anybody casually and say, Do you know about Farron? There's about probably 50 to 45% chance that they'll know Farron if they watched anime. There's a hundred percent chance that they'll know Hero's Paradise. It's on Netflix, it's on Hulu, it's on Crunchyroll. There was a big hype about it. The main character has white hair, and you already know what happens when the main character has white hair.
SPEAKER_01There's a lot of hype about a lot of anime, and a lot of them flop. You know what I mean? It's just oh, it's a hundred percent.
SPEAKER_05You know I agree with that. But I'm just telling you right now, Farron doesn't have the hype of these other shows that I'm naming right now.
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, I feel like there's definitely at least three of them that are like legit, which is Demon Slayer, obviously. We're talking 10 years of buildup here, right? Movies, games, all that crap, all over the place.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01Obviously, JJK, barely three seasons in, but has made such an impact that it's undeniable. It's a fucking massive crater, you know what I mean? Okay. So JJK is without a doubt. Black Clover, I I that one is definitely, that one's definitely for me.
SPEAKER_05I was all saying that one had to go up against big three when they're gonna be.
SPEAKER_01That one is you taking me 10 years back. You're taking bigger.
SPEAKER_05That one had to go up against when Naruto was on his war arc. So, like just saying what what he had to go through and then go through the new generation as well.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Black Clover's up there. Those three are definitely the big ones. I'll be honest with you. And then obviously the big three, but they're we're not talking about that. No, no. But but those three are definitely the ones that are like the hypers, people are expecting the more. Chainsaw Man is getting there. I would give Chainsaw Man that is getting it. It's only one season in one movie.
SPEAKER_05Once you hit the movie theaters and you get popcorn buckets and you break some records where the point where they're asking you to be in the Oscars.
SPEAKER_01You got snubbed, though. You got snubbed. Actually, I don't even think you were mentioned in the Oscar.
SPEAKER_05No, no, it was you were mentioned, it was all American brands. It was all American brands.
SPEAKER_01They took out Demon Slayer, Utopia, Demon Hunter, Cape Hunter, whatever.
SPEAKER_05Even though those two beat both of those.
SPEAKER_01Which is BS, by the way.
SPEAKER_05So, like, they didn't get their credit. But I'm just telling you right now, in the mainstream anime world, Chainsaw Man is up there. I can't. Guaranteed. I doubt. I mean, I'm pretty sure. Like, if you had a Farron movie right now, like if they came out after season two's over, you'd think Farron's movies will do numbers like Demon Slayer and Chainsaw Man.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. Be honest. No, no, no. I don't know. I know you're a fan, but before that's what I'm telling you. I genuinely don't know because I do think people, I think people. Demon Slayer, no, absolutely not.
SPEAKER_05I hell no. No. I was off the set. You wouldn't be credible if you said.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, hell no. I would be delusional as fuck for that.
SPEAKER_05I know. Farin's an okay show, but we're talking about movies.
SPEAKER_01We're talking about America's show. I think we would definitely get close to something like Chainsaw Man. I don't know if we'll get to the same level, but I feel like we'll definitely get up there. It's it's it's a massive fan base, but it's spread out everywhere. Which is why you don't really hear people talking about it. But then when it when it comes up, you know, people talk about it. This is kind of how it goes.
SPEAKER_05I really don't think it'll do that great. I think it'll make like maybe 200, maybe 300 in the box office. And that's being nice. No, you 500,000 in the box office.
SPEAKER_01Only Demon Slayer. No, that was like 800,000. 800 million.
SPEAKER_05They were close, they were close to a billion. They were 250 away. Yeah. Chainsaw Man made it to 5,000. 500,000.
SPEAKER_01500,000 or 500 million dollars?
SPEAKER_05No, 500 million dollars.
SPEAKER_01Oh, 500 million. Damn. So like Okay, no, I don't think I'll get that. I'll build like 250 megs. That's what I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_05Like, we're not even talking about K's. Chainsaw Man and Demon Slayer went to Mills in the first week. You're telling me if Farron had a movie right now, your cult fan base will make it get to a mil? A billion? Nah. Not a billion. A million?
SPEAKER_02Like a mil. Oh hell yeah. What the they would they would smash that.
SPEAKER_05Like a 25, I'll say 25, 25 to 30k million, 25 to 30 million dollars. They would smash that without it.
SPEAKER_02In the first week? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean, think about how big anime is now. I know if they gave us a big thing.
SPEAKER_05I know how big anime is. I'm talking about the show that I'm telling you everyone don't know.
SPEAKER_01That JJK movie just came out. That shit did great. And it wasn't even a whole original. That's what I'm saying. So once you have the product out there and you bring in a movie too for the people to experience in the theater, you're gonna make a lot of money.
SPEAKER_05I get that. What I'm telling you is, do you think Farron has the same branch like how JJK, I'm not coming out for three years, and in the three years, I'm gonna show you a movie that's about two episodes of my season. Can you break my records?
SPEAKER_01I'm not watching that shit. If it has fucking two episodes, I'm not watching that shit.
SPEAKER_05Can Farron break their records? I know you say you ain't gonna watch that, but I'm telling you right now, they already did it for three seasons, so I'm guessing they make a little bit of profit of doing it if they keep doing it every single season. So I'm pretty sure a lot of people that's not hater aid does it and watches it. I'm telling the person that isn't Haterade that does Farron does the same type of credit. Like, can Farron say, hey, my first two episodes, you know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna put them in the movie theater.
SPEAKER_01They break 250 easily.
SPEAKER_05Barely.
SPEAKER_01I'll say they do.
SPEAKER_05Barely. You don't you don't even watch it and you wouldn't go.
SPEAKER_01Well, if I know what's coming out, like if it's if it's a whole original movie, I'm fucking there. I didn't even go watch the.
SPEAKER_05I'm talking about. I know what you're saying.
SPEAKER_01I know what you're saying. So this is what I'm telling you. That's what I'm telling you. I'm not gonna go watch it because why the fuck would I go watch some prequel shit and some new shit? I want to see all new shit.
SPEAKER_05So you're the cult follower of Farron, and you are one of the diehard fans of Farron, and if they did that shit to you, you already know you won't watch it.
SPEAKER_01I want all new shit. I want all original shit.
SPEAKER_05So that's what I'm saying. You don't have the big enough fan base like JJK to have half their fan base to say, I'm not gonna go watch it and still make a profit. You know you don't.
SPEAKER_01They'll make money.
SPEAKER_05No, they wouldn't make a profit. They will not make a profit.
SPEAKER_01They'll make money.
SPEAKER_05No, yeah, it will it costs, bro. Marvel loses money in the box office, Sony loses money in the box office.
SPEAKER_01$300 million making a movie, and an anime movie only costs like two to three million to make it.
SPEAKER_05And how much do you think the CGI is? How much do you think the movie movie having you think you think making a movie and then just saying here's a movie, please put it in your theater? You think that you think that doesn't cost money? No, I guess that.
SPEAKER_01Like in total, they're probably gonna spend like 15 million for an anime movie. I'm saying you're comparing it to Marvel, right? Marvel spends up to 500 million making, promoting, all that crap.
SPEAKER_05I get their budget is bigger than Ferris, but I'm talking about Ferren's little budget, their little tiny, little, little budgety. They have to promote the movie, show ads for the movie, sell the movie to theaters, make popcorn buckets, make contracts, make toys, and do everything what a regular movie does all the time, like JJK does, Chainsaw Man and Demon Slayer. They all did it. I'm telling you, with all those prices that they had to pay for before the movie came out, can Farron break even? Yes. I don't think so. I think you're delusional. No, no, I really do think you're delusional.
SPEAKER_01No, I mean I I'm not gonna lie the fact that they're not gonna make$500 million, but break even without a doubt. Without a doubt.
SPEAKER_05I don't think so. You I don't think so. I really don't think I don't think Farron is popular enough. I know you like it, so you're gonna say that there they are, but I don't think that they're on the level of popular popular to get to a movie standard, and even if they get to a movie standard, they won't break even. And I really do believe that because why haven't they done it? They've been making movies for every popular fucking anime that came out in the last five years. If you had if you broke records, you got a movie. They didn't give a fuck if the movie was a spin-off of bullshit.
SPEAKER_01Not every not every big anime. Well, actually, I'm lying.
SPEAKER_05Demon Slayer, most of Casaw Man, One Piece, Naruto, Black Clover.
SPEAKER_01You can't even bring One Piece into this conversation. They've been making movies in the fucking 2000s. I know, but they start what you're saying. They started the theater. I get what you're saying. What I'm saying is Dragon Ball Z. Fucking 80s, fam. 80s. But I get what you're saying. Now, they haven't yet, I don't know why. I generally, I genuinely don't know why. Because every if you watch the anime, every episode is anime quality.
SPEAKER_05And then this is also just to put it to this factor, because you what you brought it up here, of him of them breaking records in the box office. Demon Slayer made a movie, and I think it was after the first season, right? Mm-hmm. JJK made a movie. They didn't even make a movie. They just made give us those little fucking recap. Those little recap things, and they made money off of that. Chainsaw Man made a full movie after their first season. Black Clover, after their season, got like last they caught up to the manga and they couldn't do no more. They made a movie on Netflix. They didn't go into the theater because they couldn't afford it, and that's Black Clover. That's a fucking stuff.
SPEAKER_01I'm telling you, bro, Netflix. I'm telling you.
SPEAKER_05I'm telling you what it is, bro. They couldn't afford the theaters, so they went to Netflix, and they were being they were able to barely afford Netflix, and they made, and we made it profitable for Netflix for them to break even. I'm just telling you, that was Black Clover. Fucking Blue Lock made a movie, and it was about the fucking one side character. That didn't break even, but they made the movie. And Blue Lock was Blue Lock. You're telling me Blue Lock ain't as top popular as Farron right now? It ain't on casuals, but it's definitely as popular as Farron. It's definitely up there. So you're telling me that Farron is gonna be able to beat those?
SPEAKER_01It's definitely make money. It's gonna make money. I don't know.
SPEAKER_05I think it will lose it in the office.
SPEAKER_02Black Clover couldn't even attempt it, and that's Black Clover. But that that was what 2004. No, 2016, 17? That was 2019 17, 18.
SPEAKER_01That was that was that was right before the blow the movie blow up.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but that was right before COVID, though. That was right before COVID. Farron came after the anime blow up. Fuck the movie blow up. The anime blow up where you had millions of anime fans pop out of nowhere. So you got a better chance of doing better numbers when Black Clover did their movie and you still can't come out of a movie.
SPEAKER_01I'm telling you why. They just have it, bro. They haven't even the second season is barely here. It's only two episodes in. I know you're offended. No, no, no. I get what you're saying. What I'm telling people. Think of this as a second season just came out. They haven't even finished the second season. If the second season had finished and we would have waited two years and you're asking why haven't they dropped the movie? I get that. But the second season is barely coming out as we speak. Bro, if there's still no motion for them to make a move like that.
SPEAKER_05Bro, bullshit. If you're saying that Farron is such a good show that you're saying it is, JJK came out. No, 2020. No, no, no one or two. Demon Slayer came out one season, one show, one take, nothing else. We had no idea what else was going on. And then they came out with the movie. That's a guaranteed. Ren Goku's movie came out right after the season one of Demon Slayer. Chainsaw Man. One season, one take, one time to love these characters, came out with a movie. You are putting a higher pedestal on a mid-tier anime just because you don't want to admit that they're not on that tier. These guys can't do it. We are we are anime fans, we respect the anime, and we want the anime to be as great as it can be. But what I'm telling you right now, I have a business mind. And if I'm a businessman and I'm telling myself, if I see one of my competitors do it, and I see another one of my competitors do it, and they're both making profit and they're making more money than they could think of after one season. If my show was good enough to do it, and they gave me the green light to send the movie out, you don't think they will take it as a businessman. Fuck being an animator, fuck being a creator for a second, as a businessman, knowing your show's that popular, you're telling me you're not taking the extra money movie, even though JJ did it, Demon Slayer did it, Saints All Man did it, and they all only had one season. No, you know that you can't handle a movie theater. You knew that your fans are loyal and supportive as fuck, but they're not gonna support you in the movie theater how you need them to, like how the other anime fans do. So that's why you can't do it, and that's why I'm telling you that they're a mid-tier.
SPEAKER_01If they were to make a movie, I feel like after season two would be the perfect placement. Now, we're not gonna know perfect placement. We're not gonna know, we're not gonna know if it would have made numbers if it came out after season one, because season one is done. We're in season two now. Now, if they give me one after season two, which I I think they can, but I don't think they will. I don't think they will. We're not gonna have the money if if they do, people are gonna show up. And if it's an original piece, I'm gonna watch that shit twice just to watch it.
SPEAKER_05You can watch it as much as your heart content because you are a Farron fan. I'm not taking away from your Farron anime hype. What I'm telling you right now is the reason why you will never get a Farron movie, or if you do get a Farron movie, it's gonna be on Crunchyroll like your Overlord movie, or it's gonna be on Netflix, is because they can't make the money profits to go on the big screen. It is different, dude. The money profits to get in a theater and to solicit all that shit is way different than just popping it on a fucking streaming platform. You are spending four or five times as much money you were than just putting it on Crunchyroll or putting it on Netflix. Guaranteed, don't matter all that CGI you see, all that shit, that will all need to be on IMAX enhancement. That's a whole nother CGI people. Then you're gonna need to get in in other fucking whatever movie theaters they take. You need all of them, so that means that's a whole nother people you gotta pay for. It costs money to be on that big ass fucking screen. That's what I'm telling you. They're not they're not popular enough to do it. I even admitted that Black Clover wasn't a popular enough, and I love Black Clover.
SPEAKER_01You're talking bad timing, though. It's bad timing. The Seven Lily Sins movie came out, that shit is top-notch, and guess what? It failed in the theater still. Well, actually, it only failed in Japan because they didn't even bring it overseas. No, they didn't. And now you got the American consumer, and you know the American people like to consume.
SPEAKER_05But that's what I'm telling you, right? That's my point. Demon Black Clover wasn't popular enough to go into the movie theater at the time, and I'm telling you that, and I admitted that because I know where the levels have to be to get to the theater. I'm telling you, even with the boom, the anime surge.
SPEAKER_01Nah. Yeah, nah. You're tripping. You're tripping.
SPEAKER_05No, no, it doesn't have a chance.
SPEAKER_01No, they will make money.
SPEAKER_05They no. If you get a movie, it's gonna be on Crunchyroll like your Overlord movie or on Netflix.
SPEAKER_01Well, Overlord came out in theaters. I went to watch it, it was garbage, but it came out in theaters. I promise you. And I'm pretty sure it failed because it was just so bad.
SPEAKER_05Did we check that box office?
SPEAKER_01No, I'm pretty sure it failed. That movie was terrible.
SPEAKER_05100% terrible 100%. I just because the movie's terrible, it's probably 100% why I did bad at the box office because only the loyalty people want to go watch it.
SPEAKER_01Also, Overlord is pretty indie. I will give it to you there. Overlord is not like it's not one of the biggest no Faron is a new generation anime, and it blew up big. The thing is, I get what you're saying. Not as big as it should be. I get what you're saying. You're levels. No, no, no, no. I get it. There's levels to these, right? There's levels to these. We're talking a lot. Yes. We're talking something like JJK, we're talking something like Demon Slayer. We're talking something like My Hero. Those are the top. Like, you know, if there's five layers, those are the layered above layer one. Farron is the one. There's the big ones.
SPEAKER_05Farron is the gatekeeper of Sakamoto Days. No, dude. No. Right when you finish Sakamoto Days, fucking uh spy family, all the kids stuff, then you just hop up past that door. Oh, absolutely not. Or right around that corner, there's Farron to introduce you to greatness of animal. There is nothing underneath Farron after the kids shows. There's not one anime. Not one anime. You can't even name one.
SPEAKER_01No, you're tripping, bro.
SPEAKER_05Name one. Farron is up there. Name one. Under the that Farron beats off rights.
SPEAKER_02Hammers Paradise. And that's a good one.
SPEAKER_05It's done. You can't name that. I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_01Hell's Paradise. Hell's Paradise? Yeah, dude. Absolutely. And I know that I love Hell's Paradise.
SPEAKER_05Hear me out. I'm gonna might give you that just because I really did not like the first season. But I look at the views and I look at the credits. That shit was peak. There was a lot of hype behind that. And just because Farron has a season two coming out, and season two is doing well, I am going to wait for Hell's Paradise season two to come out to give that a fair shot.
SPEAKER_00It's right now.
SPEAKER_05Right now, if we're doing if we're doing right now, right now I'm thinking it, I'm putting Hell's Paradise above it. And only Of course you are. Of course you are. No, no, no. Hey, I don't like either one of them. There's no favorites here. This ain't like it's it's going against Black Clover or something. They had no chance if that was the case. Yeah, of course. It has no chance. But I'm I'm putting it over Ferret is because it was more of the broad stream around uh Hell's Paradise. I saw it everywhere, everyone was talking about it. I couldn't get away from it even when I tried, even when I didn't want to look on it on my TikTok, it was there. It was like I didn't like it. You know I didn't like it. Like, so like I just know like the hype for season one was just so peak for everybody who did enjoy that anime. That I just know that like season two, like these niggas are gonna go rabbit. They're gonna go rabbit. You remember when it came out, you remember that hype. That was ridiculous.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it had a hella hype.
SPEAKER_05That was ridiculous hype for this anime. Farron did not have that hype.
SPEAKER_01And I don't know, I mean, for everyone was like a like a sleeper, eat it. It was like a little sleeper, and then it fucking blew up and then it blew up.
SPEAKER_05It was a sleeper and it grew. Like that's the one thing I'll give it. It was a sleeper anime that came out and then it grew into a little bear. Yeah, but what I'm telling you right now, Hell's Paradise was just a fucking like, you know, you're chilling at the beach and then a fucking tsunami came. Yeah, no, I get that. You were just chilling, and all of a sudden this anime came and you had to watch it, you had to talk about it. Nigga, you spazzed out with the red haired dude, and then how they took him out. Like, you spazzed out. You spazzed out. So that's what I'm saying. Like, no, fair, like Hell's Paradise, over it. And then when season two comes out and they're both out, I think it will stay over it.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_05Off of hypeness alone.
SPEAKER_01Not at all. Hypedness alone, bro. Right now, the conversation is not between Fire Force or Hell's Paradise. Right now, the conversation is between JJK and Fraeron. And JJK has two more episodes over Farron, and they gave us a bomb action episode with episode four.
SPEAKER_05Wait, wait. The only reason why it's JJK and Farron right now is because everyone's coming. Don't forget, this is the beginning of the year.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. I mean, I get that. This is not the end of the year. This is the beginning of the year.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, this is the beginning of the year. Farron has Farron is fighting for his fucking life and it's JJK.
SPEAKER_01Anybody will be fighting for his fucking life as JJK. That's without a doubt. I'm pretty sure you can agree with me on that. No, no, I will agree with you. Anybody. Anybody's fighting. Funny just so happens that two of my favorite shows are going toe to toe, so I'm trying to not to fucking shoot one or the other. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05You gotta shoot him.
SPEAKER_01I'm not shooting nobody.
SPEAKER_05Like a old one. Shoot me. I'll take it.
SPEAKER_01I'll take it.
SPEAKER_05Nah, you gotta treat this like old yellow.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_05Two in the head. Go throw a frisbee in the background, Farron.
SPEAKER_01You're right here, so you're always an option, too.
SPEAKER_05No. It's over for that. But what I'm telling you is even though even though Farron's a good anime and people do like it, and we do gotta wrap this up because we are running a little bit long on the time and stuff, but Farron's a great anime. Or a good anime. I will I will give it that that is it has a good anime plot, a good story base, and a good culture for the anime to grow. It has no chance this year. JJK, and after it does that header, whoever wins, which we all know who's gonna win.
SPEAKER_00JJK.
SPEAKER_05After that's done, it has to deal with all these new animes that's coming out. Because Sentence to Be a Hero is pretty fire.
SPEAKER_01That's pretty good.
SPEAKER_05Zero Zero Rise, that's a basketball 3D looking ass fucking ass. I love that type of basketball. Well, hear me out. You can't do 2D for basketball.
SPEAKER_01They did it back in the day, remember?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but it fucked.
SPEAKER_01That shit was so good though.
SPEAKER_05No, because like when you look when you look at well, like I get it, I get when they stand still. When they stand still and they're in the hallway or they're practicing standing still, 2D looks great. But when you're doing like the actual basketball movements and the actual basketball like allays, you kind of need that 2D, 3D. You kind of need that 2D 3D to get that.
SPEAKER_01Haggard did pretty good, but it does have it did have moments where it's kind of like it had to stop, you know what I mean? Like you the animation would have been too much if it just kept going.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, no. I get I get why people hate on 3D a lot, but I'm telling you right now, for basketball and sports-wise production, you don't want 2D because that little fast little 2D little oh he skid by him phase, that doesn't work in basketball. You need that 3D smoothness, how he got around him, like full body-wise. That's why 2D's always in like sports anime. Because you'd need that, or you or it doesn't make sense. It looks stupid. It looks very stupid. Yeah, like holding a basketball, and then you know, like the 2D ones back in the day, they were holding the basketball, and then the basketball disappears, and the whole character disappears, and then he's behind him with the basketball in his hand, not dribbling. That's why 2D's kind of out on sports anime. Yeah, but once you like get past that part, then you get to enjoy the sports anime of it. But there's a reason why it's 3D.
SPEAKER_01Looks like a it looks like a like a K-pop group that plays basketball.
SPEAKER_05No, no, it don't. You need to you need to stop with your hater. That didn't even make fucking sense. Fucking hater. But nah, that's gonna be a good anime. You got Black Clover coming back, you got a lot of other animes coming out. Oh, Fate, Fate's coming back with a whole nother series. And you you know how big of a cult that that's a cult, that's a whole nother cult that I need to talk about. But they're coming back, and their cult's way bigger than yours, way massiver than yours.
SPEAKER_01I wouldn't I wouldn't be surprised. We're talking what, 2013, 14-ish? Yeah, we're talking 10 years of making it. Yeah, but that's a cult. Even if you're a nobody, you you got a lot of time. Yeah, you got a lot of time to marinate.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so that's what I'm saying. Like, Farron, even though you're a good anime, even though you're a good series to watch, and like chill and watch and like have some time to kill type of show. Way too many hitters. And then once you get done with all of that, all of that that I just said, you just got done with every single one of them. One piece got tired of not being in the awards, and now they're gonna come out with their official season two. So tell me how you're gonna win.
SPEAKER_01Giving an award to One Piece is like giving an award to LeBron James. What doesn't that fool have? He has everything that you want, everything that he wants.
SPEAKER_05Tell that to them. Don't tell that to me. We're doing we're doing seasons.
SPEAKER_01If if One Piece wins any award at any point, it's just why? You could have given it to a brand new one, you could have given it to a smaller guy. There's no point to give it something that big.
SPEAKER_05Well, because he lost, remember that Wano lost that fight scene because it was a continuing series, so they didn't they didn't let him in the fight scene. Remember, dude, and I think that's why. I think that's why. I really do think they held a grudge for that one. And I really don't know why you don't give Wano, you should have gave Wano all the awards. You fucked up there, and now we gotta pay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Now nobody's gonna breathe.
SPEAKER_05No, no one's gonna breathe. So that's what I'm saying. Like, Farron doesn't like you love Farron. I understand. I feel the love that you have for this show.
SPEAKER_01But what I'm telling you right now, well, yeah, I mean, okay, yeah, it doesn't have a chance. You're talking too, you're talking one, first off, probably the greatest anime of all time. Well, no, that's just after all the beat ass, after the rookies. If One Piece officially enters that type of race, I don't even know if JJK stands a chance. To be honest with you. Like, I generally don't know if JJK would stand a chance against a One Piece that's going seasonal. We're not talking, we're not even talking just if JJK fans, because JJK fans are One Piece fans, and they're more loyal to One Piece than they would be to JJK. So I don't even know if JJK would even stand a chance at that point. You're you might have to bring all the big three back just to even compete.
SPEAKER_05I think they'll still win because I will be honest, I love One Piece, but their fights have been getting a lot goofier.
SPEAKER_01And now they took a break, and now they're taking it slower. Think about the quality, think about the quality jump that's gonna take.
SPEAKER_05We'll find out in April. See, that's more of a topic than Farron versus JJK. That's way better than the topic. Because that's really what it came up. Because that's really a real underdog taking out a Goliath. Farron has no chance against this Goliath, and we both know it.
SPEAKER_01Man, JJK don't have his chance against one point.
SPEAKER_05That's something I'm gonna say that it might, it might. If we're going seasonal, that means I only gotta base these 12 episodes.
SPEAKER_01Well, we also gotta figure out what the quality of One Piece is gonna look like first.
SPEAKER_05Well, like if we're only going seasonal, that means this season, I'm only basing this season, not your past. JJK this season, One Piece this season. JJK got a chance if we're going like that. Maybe. And I'm not it's a maybe. Farron has zero.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, of course.
SPEAKER_05Negative zero.
SPEAKER_01I don't even I don't even know if we're Farron would win anime at the year.
SPEAKER_05I think Farron will lose viewers if it went at the same time. Farron will lose people if it went at the same time.
SPEAKER_01Against One Piece?
SPEAKER_05100%.
SPEAKER_01Bro, that's without a doubt. Like, you know, any JJK wouldn't. That would be a good back of four. That's what I'm saying. Like, that would be a good thing.
SPEAKER_05That's what that's that's what I'm talking about. That's a real fight. That's a real fight. Because those niggas ain't losing either. Well, that this fight is crash. This fight is garbage. This fight has no chance to live. The only reason why this fight's existing is because you love Farron. Other than that, this fight doesn't exist.
SPEAKER_01Be here to defend you no matter what. Unless you give me a one punch, a seven deadly seas treatment. Overboard. I'm gonna turn. You don't want me as your enemy, bro. You don't want me as a hater because I will.
SPEAKER_05I bet there's more animes I can think of. I just can't think of them right now.
SPEAKER_01No, there's there's dude. I watched this one called Devil is a Part Timer, and I waited 13 times.
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah, that's yeah, season two. See, Devil's a Part Timer. That's a cold anime too. And you still got fucking cold. Bro, it's every cold anime you watch.
SPEAKER_0113 years in the making, just for that garbage?
SPEAKER_05I promise you. Right when you out of your mind. I'm calling it now. Right after season two, they're gonna go on a three-year hiatus, and then you know what happens after.
SPEAKER_01Bro, I'm telling you, bro, you do not want me as a hater, bro. I'm sorry. Don't do me like don't make don't make me do this.
SPEAKER_05You're going to do it.
SPEAKER_01Only if you make me do something like that.
SPEAKER_05The worst part is you're trying to convince yourself that it's not gonna happen, but you feel it in your gut right here. No.
SPEAKER_01My gut is empty, but I know there's always a possibility for any anime at any point.
SPEAKER_05JJK?
SPEAKER_01That's probably too big now.
SPEAKER_05One piece.
SPEAKER_01Nah, dude.
SPEAKER_05One black clover.
SPEAKER_01Nah, that's an if. That's an iffy. That's an iffy.
SPEAKER_05I would have gave you that one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's a ice. I would've gave you that one. Because I it got good toward the end, you know. But that's what I'm saying. But like, are you have people waiting, but are you gonna disappoint me or are you gonna get me hype?
SPEAKER_05No, no, no. Because that's why that's what I'm saying. They came out with the movie, and the movie went to the low anime tier with low anime stats, with low anime money hype. They still delivered on a great fucking movie. Now they got the whole building around them, they got the whole studio money around them, and they got the new CGI money.
SPEAKER_00That's true.
SPEAKER_05They never was able to even touch the CGI money. Demon Slayer showed us the CGI money. They wasn't even able to glance at that CGI money. They're about to kill it, nigga. And you know they're gonna kill it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, dude.
SPEAKER_05That's what I'm saying. I'm not really worried about Black Clover. Faron's the one that's the top dog that's at the border gate that has to fight for his fucking life to keep his spot. If anyone in these beat it, it's gonna be out. Do you understand that? You know, if any one of these fucking shows beat Farron and Radiance, it's gonna be out, which will be hard. Oh, Farron ain't no pussy. I won't give you, I won't disrespect Farron like that. It's gonna be hard to beat Farron, but it is beatable.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, anything is beatable, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05No, no.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, if JJK dropped in quality, you think people would love it as much? Because of how good it is, yes? Yes, exactly. So if it did manage to lose all of its budget and they started giving you some fucking three frames per second type animation, then yes, maybe it has a chance.
SPEAKER_05It would any at any point chance. Not win. What a chance. What? No, no, no.
SPEAKER_01I'm not even saying if framework would win, I'm so I'm saying if the people would hate it. Yes. But that's just what happens with anything. That's just anime people. That's just what happens with anime, you know what I mean? Like that's just where we're at right now. Nobody's safe. Nobody's ever truly safe. Unless you're One Piece, because then you got too much money to lose. You're too big to fail.
SPEAKER_05Dragon Ball Z.
SPEAKER_01Too big to fail. We're talking 30 years.
SPEAKER_05JJK is too big to fail now. It is at that level.
SPEAKER_01But it is a seasonal anime.
SPEAKER_05Bro, a year ago, I remember having this conversation with you before we started podcasting. I told you JJK was at the door, at the door at a nine. After this season, it's a 10.
SPEAKER_01No, I get that.
SPEAKER_05Like you gotta you know what comes with 10 status.
SPEAKER_01What if you give me bad seasons after the third one? Right? Like that impact would slowly fall. You can lose your status. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So at this specific moment, you can't argue with the fact that it is incredibly fucking peak. Like, I'm not gonna argue with that. I I I I haven't. Ever since you know, I started watching it, I haven't. It's just gotten better and better and better and better. But what I'm saying is never think that you cannot slowly start. Declining because it's not really up to the anime, it's up to everybody behind it. And if anybody behind it starts slipping, it's over.
SPEAKER_05Alright, we'll figure it out. But you gotta you are making a lot of big ifs just to save it, just to save.
SPEAKER_01No, I mean that's with anything, even with Farron. Trust me, if Farron gets me an animation, I'm fucking over.
SPEAKER_05No, Farron's done, but that's what I want to say. Farron, good luck. Have a good luck in the gauntlet. I truly don't think you're surviving. I love sentence to be a hero. And if it keeps getting as good as it's been, I don't think it will be fair. It ain't. But it will be at the door knocking. It'll be like this. It'll be close. It'll be close. Yeah. I don't think it's going, I don't think it's gonna catch it. Not really. But I know it will be at the door knocking and saying, yo, especially for a first season.
SPEAKER_01I feel like you can do very well. First season, you can do very well.
SPEAKER_05You did very well.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I will give you that. You did very well. But like I said, that's why Farron's at the bottom of the list at the gatekeep. You have to be Farron to get in the conversation of what we're talking about. And that's hard to do. You're acting like this is easy. This is hard to do. There's not a lot of animes that can get in this conversation, and Farron's right at the bottom holding the door. Which is what she do anyway with her fucking staff. She's good at it. Put her fucking staff there with the fucking leaves. Bring the redhead kid with his fucking daggers, and they're good for a fucking month.
SPEAKER_00Get the mug out of here.
