Super Bowl Weekend And A Bad Movie

SPEAKER_02

What's good everybody? Welcome to the I'm just saying podcast with your boy, Mr.

SPEAKER_00

High. And Buck. Hello. Thank you so much for tuning in. We appreciate you listening to Shout out, Buck.

SPEAKER_02

It's time to start the show. You're killing my high. I gotta go. I'm trying to thank the fans away. No, I'm delacing y'all. What's up? What's up, y'all? I'm trying to learn Spanish and welcome back to the I'm just saying podcast with your boy, Mr. High, and my co-host Buck.

SPEAKER_00

How you doing? How you doing?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I don't know what I'm doing, but I feel good. I feel great. I feel live. I feel high as a kite. But also, Buck, the Super Bowl weekend in our city was lit. It was insane. How'd you feel about it?

SPEAKER_00

I was working. I'm not gonna lie to you. I was working, I was busy. But wait, Buck, before you start this, before you start this, I'm gonna ask you how's your fucking week?

SPEAKER_02

And if you say during Super Bowl weekend, when over 51 private jests were in the fucking stable in the area, and you say you did nothing but worked, this podcast is over. I'm coming to slap you.

SPEAKER_00

I did go watch a movie.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

On Saturday. Sunday I was busy, but Saturday I did go watch a movie.

SPEAKER_02

At least he went outside, people. At least he went, like you don't understand. At least he went outside.

SPEAKER_00

This podcast is about to be over. It's it's called Whistle. It was a terrible movie. Five out of ten. Absolute trash. It was just a steep, it was uh stealing the idea of other movies from the past. Terrible. Everything was bad about it. Would not recommend it. Don't waste your time.

SPEAKER_02

But do you know Speed was out here? Do you know AP was out here? You know content creators were out here? Were they? Everyone was out here. You know basketball teams were out here. You know Puka Nakua was out here.

SPEAKER_00

Who's that?

SPEAKER_02

Puka Puka Nakua.

SPEAKER_00

I don't, I don't, I don't know who that is. Who is that? Like, what's he famous for? I guess. Football. Oh, okay, okay, okay.

SPEAKER_02

Football, wide receiver, Rams. That's cool. LA. That's cool. Nice.

SPEAKER_00

And the city.

SPEAKER_02

What do you do?

SPEAKER_00

I'm busy, bro. I mean, not that I'm busy, man.

SPEAKER_02

Hey, can you be busy off of everything in the world? Like everything in the world? How are you busy from every national event in the world, bro? If a nuke dropped, you wouldn't even know.

SPEAKER_00

I just I try to keep up with some things, but some other things is just, it doesn't catch my interest. It doesn't really push me in any sort of way. I mean, to be honest with you, I was excited for the Super Bowl and I didn't watch the Super Bowl, but everything that came with it, the celebrity aspect, the famous people aspect of it, I don't care. I'm just I'm just kind of doing my own thing. And, you know, if something comes up and it interests me, I'll think about it. But if not, it's just right over my head. That's just how it goes for me. It just it How was your week, Buck? It was good. It was good. Like I said, I went to watch the movie. Trash movie, by the way, but you know, I there's something. Sometimes I go out, sometimes I don't.

SPEAKER_02

You don't do sh oh my god, I'm getting to me before I fucking have a panic attack. My week was fantastic, Buck. Right after this podcast, movie. Movie. I mean, I saw everybody content creators, basketball players. AMP was out here walking around in the cities. Nice. There was so much stuff. Nice. Like, what do you do?

SPEAKER_00

How is that just nice? I mean, that's cool, I guess. I mean, you like him. I don't really care. You know what I mean? It's whatever to me.

SPEAKER_02

I don't really care about streamers. Like, you drop your jaw.

SPEAKER_00

If I went out to eat and it was Oda that was in the restaurant, nah, I mean, I don't really think anything crazy would have kind of made me go like, oh my god, like made me lose my mind, to be honest. It's celebrity, that whole celebrity thing doesn't really drive me anywhere. Like, no matter how famous you are. Maybe if you're like an actor or something like that, maybe I would have been cool about it, but I don't really. It was glad I'm glad you had a great weekend. I'm really happy for you. I really am. I really am. But personally, it was just another week to me. It's just I got nothing.

SPEAKER_02

Super Bowl weekend in our city. Famous people everywhere, clubs, partying, drinking. Women.

SPEAKER_00

That's cool. Very cool.

SPEAKER_02

And none of this in part takes you at all.

SPEAKER_00

My mindset wasn't really on anything like that, to be honest.

Best Beginner Anime Recommendations

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Alright. I think you know, you can't you can't make a horse drink fucking water. That's all I can say. Alright, Buck, you ready for the weekend? You ready for everything? Yes, sir. Let's do this. Alright, bro. Um, I'll tell you right now, I loved last weekend's conversation. That shit was crazy. Like, that was honestly, I think I'm right. 100%, I think I'm 100% right. And if you can't remember what we talked about, Buck, it was crash outs. Oh, yes. And it was the gun crash out. Yes. I think I was 100% right, but I love that topic. We're not going to get into it.

SPEAKER_00

I was gonna say, because then we'll go another half hour. No, no, no, no. So we're not gonna do that.

SPEAKER_02

We're not gonna get into it, but I'm just saying I feel like I want it. I love that topic so much that I just want to refresh everyone's mind. I didn't ever do this yet. I thought we did it, but we did it in the rough draft. So we never actually made it official. Now we'll make it official. If you can tell a beginner animator, someone who just watched anime, and it has to be sub-end up to sub-end up, like you gotta be able to watch it in both ways, or it doesn't count. What are the beginning animes you would recommend for somebody?

SPEAKER_00

That's a great, great question, to be honest with you.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, I would I won't break the fourth wall there. He said that because he thought of it. I'm breaking the fourth wall right now. He said that shit because he thought of it.

SPEAKER_00

It's a good question through and through, to be honest. I mean, it this is this like a normal conversation that it could be the it's it's all personal for the most part, right?

SPEAKER_02

Someone who don't know anything.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so to me, I would definitely give him two modern ones. One of them You can't give him one punch man no more.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, no. Remember when you used to say that all the time? Bro, how funny is that? Hey, how funny is that, bruh? And I used to agree with you.

SPEAKER_00

If you gave a dude, it's so it's so bad, dude. It's so it's so phenomenally bad. Can't do that before that's off the tape. People don't even understand. Every time we talked about something, uh, One Punch Man always came, got brought up. Like, I I love One Punch Man, but dudes, uh, it's it's such a love. I don't know what it is, bro. It's whatever, to be honest. What can I do? You know what I mean? I'm just a man. But four animes that I'll recommend, right? So off the top of my dome, I'm thinking two modern ones, Demon Slayer and JJK. Demon Slayer for being a super, super basic and generic anime, to be honest with you. Everything about it, I love it because it's just simple. JJK is a little more complicated than Demon Slayer, but the animation is able to back everything up. Demon Slayer is heavily carried by the animation, I'm gonna be real with you. So JJK, everything about it is cool. The characters, the the power, I mean the power, the power levels is just ridiculous, but you know, I'm just kind of trying, I'm I'm going along with it. Then I'm gonna take you back in time and I'm gonna take I'm gonna I'm gonna make you watch Cowboy Beepop because it is an oldie, but it is gold. And I feel like even though it is old, the animation still holds up.

SPEAKER_02

Wait, wait, what? Say that last one again.

SPEAKER_00

Cowboy Bebop? No, the animation for a beginner? Yeah, no, cowboy bebop is super simple. There's nothing for a beginner. Cowboy beepop is like one of the most simplest animes you can think of. There's nothing complicated about it.

SPEAKER_02

Uh you know, this is supposed to be preference, and I know I'm supposed to let you talk and say you're not gonna, but I'm never going to let you have that. But yo, no, for a beginner, yeah. No, no, no, no. You're thinking of beginner of an art time, and if it was our time beginner, like when we were in middle school in high school, I will 100% agree with you. You're talking about middle schoolers and high schoolers just starting now, 2026, this day and age, this day in era. Maybe if cowboy beep happened to remaster, then and only then, yes.

SPEAKER_00

It cowboy beepop has aged incredibly well. I mean, if it's the animation you have a problem with, the animation still holds up amazingly.

SPEAKER_02

I love it, it's just not gonna compare to these new genes. No, I get that. That's what I'm saying. So you're just not gonna like it. I get that.

SPEAKER_00

So I'm just not gonna like it. So I'm saying I will give you two modern ones. They're for the most part, they're all fairly short. Maybe so far, Demon Slayer is the longest one. The two ones I was okay with. I know you are, of course you are. So shut up. And then I'm gonna take you back in time to watch something that's actually classic and has a little history behind it. And I would say Cowboy Bebop because it's great, it's very short, it's only 24 episodes plus the movie. Everything about it is cool, the characters are cool, the stories are super simple, everybody has their own thing going on. You just gotta kind of catch up with everybody, and then you're there. It takes five episodes to know everybody, and then you just go with the story. And then after that, I would, if I was gonna put someone in something a little longer, I would probably say OG Naruto, to be honest, because you have to watch Naruto. And it's it's basically like almost any cartoon you can think of, like any Western cartoon, it's similar to it in a concept.

SPEAKER_02

You gotta, you can't put any of the big ones in there, dude. It's too long.

SPEAKER_00

No, I mean the OG's what, like 200-ish episodes.

SPEAKER_02

Beginners, man, they gotta be able to actually you gotta make sure whatever they watch, they're hooked on anime where they want to watch something new.

SPEAKER_01

You know, you're not rules.

SPEAKER_02

Bro, you're thinking of when you were a kid and you were able to like love Naruto and like that slowly bond over years. You don't have years with these new beginners, you have you have 12, maybe 13 episodes for them to get hooked. And then and then those 12 and 13 episodes, if they're not hooked, they're never watching anime again. It's all because of you. And you know that's damn true. That is so true that if you recommend an anime to a beginner and it's that bad, it they will they will really blame anime on you forever. I mean, it will be their own really per like even if you think they'll like an anime, they're gonna think of you. That's fine.

SPEAKER_00

I don't care, but you know what I mean. Like if you're animal.

SPEAKER_02

You don't have to care for these beginners. No, I don't care. You don't care.

SPEAKER_00

You if you didn't know if you're gonna watch, if you're gonna watch an anime, you have to at least start with one of the big ones. You like you cannot ignore any of the big ones. That's anime history at that point. No, so you're gonna OG Naruto, even though it is much longer, it's still enough to where if you start watching it 20 episodes, 10 episodes, even five episodes in, it gets interesting right away. So it's one of those things. If you don't like Naruto, which is basically one of the most not basic animes, but one of the biggest animes, and that's like a not a blueprint, but it's you're gonna look at Naruto and then you're gonna look at anime as a whole in the same sphere. If you don't like the early Naruto, I'm sorry, bro. Like, you might not like any anime at all. Like, that's just the basic of it. Like, yeah, you can like some other stuff.

SPEAKER_02

I don't like Naruto.

SPEAKER_00

That's what I'm saying. So it's kind of like you gotta give I'm not gonna recommend One Piece, bro. That's 1200 episodes.

SPEAKER_02

Like, I couldn't even recommend that. I wouldn't recommend One Piece either. So I would say even OG.

SPEAKER_00

I love One Piece, even OG Naruto's actually OG Naruto is great.

SPEAKER_02

I could if I did live action, but other than that, I really can't recommend One Piece. Well, live action, yes, I could. Other than that, I couldn't, but Naruto is just too long, and I love it to death. It's just way too long. When we found Naruto, that was not 300 episodes, it was like maybe 50, maybe 60 in total, and then we had a new episode coming out. There's no way, like, bro, we did not have 500 episodes gun ready, just ready to watch, binge, watch it all. So I'm just saying, like, as a beginner, you ain't gonna get hooked. I Naruto is in a legendary story. We all love Naruto, but I'm just saying, bro, when it comes to a beginner, you have to go slow with them. Eventually, the big three will find them. There's a difference of aura, like there's starting you off in peak, bro.

SPEAKER_00

I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_02

Hear me out, hear me out. There's a difference of starting someone off of the hype and the aura to get them into watching anime and then finding the the ones. Like, there's no way if you like anime and you start going on this anime adventure, you're running into those three. You're running into those three guaranteedly. It doesn't matter which one you pick, all cinema. But you're running into those three. It's like a crossroads, bro.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I know you everybody's gonna get there eventually, but like I'm 100% like I would definitely I would definitely start you in some like like if you already watched any of the other three, okay. Let me tell you you have to get there.

SPEAKER_02

Let me tell you my four real quick. Let me tell you my four real quick. Demon Slayer, you're 100% right.

SPEAKER_00

Basic as basic as hell.

SPEAKER_02

The only reason why I disagree with the Demon Slayer is because I hate how they're doing movies at the end. That's the only thing. That's it. Everything else, you know. Yeah, it works. JJK. Action works, main characters funny, side characters funny, and then like, you know, they they make you love the side characters enough so when like the unfortunate finally happens, you are getting emotional. Number three, attack on Titans is more like you know they're gonna bet that the main character's safe or the side character safe. I'll tell you right now, if you watch Attack on Titans, no one's safe. Put your bet on anybody, everyone's everyone's off the block list. Everybody getting body. And then the fourth one I'll definitely put in. What would be my fourth one? I'll have to give them. I'm not giving them none of the big three. I'm not giving them bleach, I'm not giving them One Piece, I'm not giving them Naruto because I stand by they're gonna find them eventually, and it's too long, and I just want this kid to like anime. I wouldn't even give him Dragon Ball Z.

SPEAKER_00

Even though Dragon Ball Z is crazy long. That power scaling, it would throw anybody off. Yeah, so like I mean, I would I would like if if I if I couldn't do Dragon, if I couldn't do Naruto.

SPEAKER_02

Probably Def No. Def No, a classic anime with classic anime tone and also a great story that you can't guess.

SPEAKER_00

I would say something like Soul Reaper, Soul Eater or Soul Eater.

SPEAKER_02

I would even I would even give you Soul Eater beginner.

SPEAKER_00

The only thing is obviously the last episode is kind of like a Hail Mary, you kind of like it. We all know, right?

SPEAKER_02

We all know, but Soul Eater as a beginner.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like that's a pretty good intro to it.

SPEAKER_02

That's a good like if you were watching all four of those, and you got you got an idea of uh how horny anime can get too.

SPEAKER_00

Very, very subtle, but it's there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's why you ease them into it. But also, you just pick what you like. That's why you like, like at a beginning, at a beginning animator, you don't want to go crazy. So that's why I'm saying JJK, you ain't going crazy. Demon Slayer, you're safe. Soul Eader, you're safe. What was the last one I said? Uh Death Note. Death Note, you're safe. It's just those are just based off of a good story. None of the extra stuff that they be talking about on an anime. So those are just the four beginners I think that should be there.

SPEAKER_00

None of it shouldn't be there. I would I would definitely put in our Ruto, but if we weren't doing something long like that, that's peak, then I would probably say something like Soul Eater, yeah. It's a good it's soul eater's good, honestly. It's just I'm not Rudo's peak, bro. What can I say? I know, but just think of an eight-year-old. An eight-year-old eight-year-old. I'm not making no, I'm not even recommending an eight-year-old to watch anime. You gotta be at least 13, 14, and up. 15 minimum, if someone is asking me for recommendations. Like I'm gonna be like, how old are you? 15? Alright, cool. You're 14. I'm not giving you no anime. Maybe go watch Power Rangers, bro. Power Rangers is cool.

SPEAKER_02

You can't think of one anime for an eight-year-old. Not one, because I can. I can think of a couple.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know, like Yu-Gi-Oh! or something like that. I mean, I never watched it, so I don't really know. Is it long? I mean, Yu-Gi-Oh's kind of long though, right?

SPEAKER_02

Well, Yu-Gi-Oh! Yu-Gi-Oh! Pokemon. Pokemon, you know, Pokemon's long. All the kids' stuff. Oh shoot, now that I really think about it. I gotta really think about it. Oh, you mean Sakamoto days? There's bodies though. But he's not allowed to kill.

SPEAKER_00

But there's bodies. People do get killed. That's what I'm saying. Like, you know.

SPEAKER_02

But it's not really like shown. Like if you're like if you really like I watched the show.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I don't really I didn't even think no one died.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, the anime just calls all that off.

SPEAKER_02

So, like, if you're thinking of like an eight-year-old kid and he just wants to watch a funny show with funny action characters, suck Modo Days.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah, I guess that's pretty good to be honest. There's really family. Maybe. Do people die? I think people die, right? Yeah. Yeah. Or there's there's the idea that people died.

SPEAKER_02

But like you do you do prepare the kid for like one's a secret agent, one's a spy, one's an assassin, and then one can the little kid can mind read. And the little kid ain't doing nothing crazy. She's just going to school.

SPEAKER_00

She can read the now playing. No, no, that's yeah, but she's doing like school stuff. Dude, now that I think about it though, man, the early 2000s, unless it was like a baby anime, it was just animes with bodies. Even if it was safe.

SPEAKER_02

I'm trying to think of another anime that was safe.

SPEAKER_00

There's not really that many. Honestly, if you want a super, super safe anime, watch High School of the Dead. Super safe. No, nothing happens. Everything, everybody lives.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, no. What do you mean? It's like the safest, most mature anime you can new, new, new, new. Don't watch that.

SPEAKER_01

Alright.

SPEAKER_00

Only if you're 18.

Winter Olympics And Risky Sports

SPEAKER_02

Whatever. No, don't watch that. Bro, did you see the Olympics?

SPEAKER_00

I've been hearing stories.

SPEAKER_02

You haven't been watching?

SPEAKER_00

No, I'm not. I don't really watch. No. I mean, this is the this is the the ice Olympics. Winter Olympics. The winter Olympics, yeah. I mean, I know there's been like a bunch of, I've been seeing a bunch of winners and stuff like that, but I don't really Jake Paul's girl won.

SPEAKER_02

Jake Paul? Like his I think it's his fiance now. I don't know if they're married or not, but they're definitely dating. She was like in one of the Olympics and she won.

SPEAKER_00

Any any sport specifically that I could think of?

SPEAKER_02

It was like it was like when you're on skates and you're running around the ring hella fast. Oh. Looked hella difficult. I'm not even gonna lie. I saw her little training montage. I was like, oh, I couldn't do this. Oh, I couldn't do this. This looks ridiculously.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, to be fair though, unless you're a dance like, yeah, any any major sport on the Olympics, you gotta be like superhuman.

SPEAKER_02

Which one do you think you could do? Like which Olympic sport in the wintertime you think you could do? Like just like competing.

SPEAKER_00

That's a great question. I think what's the safest one?

SPEAKER_03

The one with the freaking with this with the oh, the with the ball, right? Yeah, with the ball and the biggest.

SPEAKER_02

They clean it as you throw whatever the heck it's called. I think that's the safest one.

SPEAKER_00

Because that's just accuracy. Like how how where do I gotta go? Where do I gotta stop? Like, what's my you know what I mean? My velocity and stuff like that.

SPEAKER_02

You wouldn't even be the brush guy. I'm thinking of you of the guy just yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like you just gotta be able to be able to time that. Yeah, like you know, push and stuff. Like something like that would be cool. I could I could probably do something like that. What would you do?

SPEAKER_02

The one where you're in the little fucking where you're like in the little fucking on the swing? No. Like, you know, you're in the little box thing and you push it down and then you're going down in the car going left, right? I would do that. That looks so much fun.

SPEAKER_00

That's like uh like a slide, ice slide, like an ice slide, whatever that is. I'll 100% do that. That looks fun though, I'm not gonna lie. I would like to do that.

SPEAKER_02

I will 100% do that. But the one I wouldn't do is the one where they ski down and then go off the ramp and then like fly for 250 feet. You ever seen that?

SPEAKER_00

Ultra, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

Like imagine that. Like, imagine being on the top of a mountain, you're going like 75 miles per hour, and then all of a sudden you're in the air, just for like five to ten seconds, super high up, and slowly coming down.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, that's crazy. I mean, when you're watching it on TV, it looks like it takes forever, but I feel like if you're you're doing it, you're doing it. Like doing it, you're here, and then a second later you're on the bottom. So I feel like that type of dude.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like you're like like your heart is just gone once, like once you go off, and you know there's no more, like there's nothing there, dude.

SPEAKER_00

How do you do it? There's nothing there. No, I listen, I used to skate when I was a kid. I was never a like a skater skater, but I went ice skating one time because I'm like, you know, I know how to skate, I know how to go downhill, so I could do it, dude. That was bad. It was it was bad. I it was so cold that every time I fell, it hurt worse than when I fell on concrete. I I didn't think it was like that. And I took a real bad fall, and I'm like, you know what? I packed up my bags and then I went to my car because my cousin was doing the big one. So anything ice wise, you're not gonna catch me, bro. I'm gonna be playing with snow, but you're not gonna catch me doing any tricks. I can't. I'm scared. Makes me real scared.

SPEAKER_02

Let me tell you something, son. That pain you felt that one time you had a crash in the Olympics.

SPEAKER_00

How do you think that lady felt? Dude, that's I can't believe that was I can't believe that was allowed to happen.

SPEAKER_02

What was her name?

SPEAKER_00

Lindsay Vaughn.

SPEAKER_02

Lindsay Vaughn. Dude, I felt I f dude, I seen the pain in the screams. When she got like helicoptered out, bro.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. No, it's bad. She couldn't move.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, dude, that was just so like. Would you like at that point? Like, hear me out. If you trained your whole life and you were ready for the Winter Olympics and it's time for you to go, and you see this one decorated person going up before you, and then she wipes out like that, they helicopter out, and then they look at you and say, You're next. You have one minute.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, like they they do regular, like, you know, sports athlete, like, oh, you know, he pulled something so he can't he can't play because then he might get more damage. Bro, this is like a this is like what do you call it? Like like an extreme sport. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

This is Oh, would you do that with a torn ACL?

SPEAKER_00

No, no, dude. Like, I I'm risking everything. You know what I mean? Like, I'm risking my whole life at that point. I wouldn't do it just because I know, okay, yes.

SPEAKER_02

Would you just appoint okay, would you just regularly snowboard with a torn ACL?

SPEAKER_00

I don't think I'll be able to handle the pain. Like, I don't think I don't even think my my leg would move right, to be honest with you. Like, I maybe if you pump me full of, you know, painkillers or something like that, but even then, I'm like, dude, that's I wouldn't, I I personally wouldn't do that because I know I'll be risking too much. What are you proud? Are you proud? Of what? Of being a weakling. No, I mean, obviously, me being me, I wouldn't risk it. I'm just saying. I know people have different types of energies. I know people have different type of energy.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, no. Um me personally, if I had a torn ACL, no, I would not do it. Personally, because I just know off of being an athlete, once you get hurt, it's like just a whole different type of pain. And one other thing, bro, to be honest with you, why am I doing this? Am I getting like, is there a really big bonus if I just do it? Gold. No, forget winning, bro. You have a torn ACL. What is the reason for you to go down this hill?

SPEAKER_00

Some people just want it more bad than others, you know what I mean? That's just well then that's when you give these Olympians their respect that they deserve.

SPEAKER_02

Because then I can't do it.

SPEAKER_00

Unless you're a breakdancer. I can't do it. Huh? Unless you're a break dancer.

SPEAKER_02

There's break dancing Olympics.

SPEAKER_00

There was one and it was so bad, they canceled the whole sport. This is like a last time. A couple years ago, I think. It was so funny.

SPEAKER_02

But it's crazy how break dancing is a fucking Olympian sport. That is crazy.

Sports Anime And Real Soccer

SPEAKER_00

It was behind the scenes work, you know what I mean? Behind the scenes. Whatever. That is freaking ridiculous. No, but yeah, no, dude, that's I I would, yeah. Um hopefully, you know, hopefully she's alright, but man, that's bad. Future-wise, that's bad.

SPEAKER_02

I was gonna say, oh, bro, have you ever watched Blue Lock yet? Like, have you ever even tried to watch Blue Lock yet?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think I I think I might have gotten like one or two episodes in, but that was about it. You never like what? Don't you like soccer? I do, but like anime soccer, I don't know, man. It's just it's too extra to me. Everything about it is too extra. The faces, the the inner monologue, I'm gonna kill this guy with the soccer bowl. No, I can't do none of that. I'm sorry, I can't I can't if it's a fighting anime, I can see that, but sports, like I said, I'm not that type of athlete, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

Bro, there is moments where you're sitting there thinking on the field.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's happens.

SPEAKER_02

Like, that's normal, but like you'd never like what do you think Ronaldo's doing when he's standing there for like two minutes?

SPEAKER_00

He's just telling himself he's the best, which he is.

SPEAKER_02

First of all.

SPEAKER_00

Messi fan over here. Oh, wait, no, Neymar fan over here. Neymar's a crybaby.

SPEAKER_02

Neymar, I love Neymar, bro. But it's just like, you know, Neymar does Neymar shit.

SPEAKER_00

Crybaby shit. Leave Neymar alone. Hey, he played against my team back in the day, and all he did was whine the whole game. I'll I'll never be able to live that down. And I'll be I'll go to my grave doing what I love. What? Being a almost there.

SPEAKER_02

You almost had it. I'm not gonna say it because that's what you want. But 100%, you are a Oh no.

SPEAKER_00

I I I thought you were gonna say a hater. I'm like, I'm gonna I'm gonna go to my grave hating.

SPEAKER_02

You're on dude, you are you are the most hating person I ever met in my life, bro. Like, I never met a person that just literally looks around and just wakes up in the morning and says, hey, I hate this shit.

SPEAKER_00

It is what it is, you know what I mean? Like, I don't know how you do it. I don't know. I mean, I don't think about it too much, it just kind of comes out.

Fullmetal Remaster Argument Gets Serious

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god, dude. I just it just guys, conversations with this guy just kills my ass. He just really kills me. Bro, can you tell me how full metal like every everything got a remaster, right?

SPEAKER_00

It's like, mm-hmm, no, not everything. You have to get re It's really rare to get a remaster or a remake or whatever you want to call it.

SPEAKER_02

Remake, remaster. Really, really rare. Remake, remaster, whatever you want to call it, sequel. I don't give a why has full metal alchemist not get a full like remake or a remaster?

SPEAKER_00

You did right after your original one ended.

SPEAKER_02

No, which is really that was called justification.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and you know, Naruto should have had one, One Piece should have had one a long time ago. Nobody's getting one, except well now Naruto's getting what four episodes? It's not getting 200 episodes. You know what I mean? Like nobody gets that type of privilege. One person did, and you're complaining about it? That's crazy, bro. Yes, no one, you already have one. What are you talking about? My one punch. Nah, I'm playing. I'm playing.

SPEAKER_02

Well, no, first of all, your one punch man deserves to just be buried with a shotgun. It is what it is, and you know it's true. Why doesn't Fool Metal Alchemist was an icon in the beginning of 2000s, one of the most top dogs in the beginning of the 2000s. Why can't I get a remaster? Or a remake? You already did. You're right after.

SPEAKER_00

That's what I'm saying. Like, you cannot be this picky, bro. You already have two and you have what? Like 400, 500 episodes in total, right? Almost, if you add both series together.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, a good amount. Right.

SPEAKER_00

Good amount. So you had one, okay. It went off script. Sure. It got a bad ending because it wasn't following the manga. Sure. And then you know what? Right after that, you had a remake that did follow everything, and you had the perfect ending. Something that's never gotten justification is something like Berserk. I feel like we could both agree Berserk deserves some justice. 40 years in, it has never hadn't gotten any justice.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_00

Foo Metal is came out what 2010s, right? It finished around the 2010s or so. Then he got a remake right after that. It's awesome. Hear me out though. What's the CGI? You just picking at it though. That animation was great. What do you mean? Even on the even on the first one, the animation was now it's not even that.

SPEAKER_02

You like classic animes, bro. You don't even like new anime CGI. You hate on anime CGI more than you hate on classic anime CGI, and that's a fact. Any other classic anime, you're gonna be like, it's so much better. I'm talking about, bro, the fight scenes, the fucking analog, the walk-in scenes, Full Metal Alchemist getting a remake of Brotherhood will do numbers.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but you'd be looking, you'd want more of like an over animation. You want everything to be like super well animated. I think animes like Full Metal did it awesome back in the day. Because you're not you're not gonna sit here and tell me that Full Metal looked bad. Like that animation was already top notch. But they could be better. Sure, anything could be better, right? Anything could be better.

SPEAKER_02

Think of like Demon Slayer and like you've seen how like Ring Goku flames were.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Think of those flames on that nigga, bro. On that guy, bro. Like, think of like this, like think of his like armor. How like crispy, shiny that armor can be. Think of the little details. Think of like that, like I mean, I'm not gonna lie.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like in today's day and age, they would make it too. Think of the sound they can do. Think of the sound. I will give you the sound. That armor animation, most likely they'll give you 2D. Because most most animes nowadays, when they have to do like armor, unless it's weapons, then they give you like regular. I know, but think of armor, they'll give you 3D because he's a robot almost. They'll give you three D. They wouldn't want to animate the whole thing.

SPEAKER_02

You just know any you could pick any part of Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and look at it and just be like, if we added this, how would this look? It's not like, oh, I wish, it's just more like, bro, I just want to see it. Like, I want to see Prime, I want to see greed, I want to see all these guys in crispy, clean, four to eight K animation. Just like those glimpses you saw in Baruto, but like, I mean, in Naruto, the four episodes, and I get why they're not doing Naruto because that's like what ten thousand dollars per episode.

SPEAKER_00

Bro, it was like a hundred thousand, a hundred thousand back in the two thousand. Yeah, now it's like a couple million now, bro.

SPEAKER_02

It's not like Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood has that much episodes, and you have everything done, you have everything already, you don't even really need to bring back the you don't even need to bring back anybody, all you need to do is just update, maybe some re reacting on some episodes, but other than that, that's good.

SPEAKER_00

No, I mean like the reason I always like Full Metal was because it like that's what I'm saying. Like, I feel like we're remembering it wrong. I as far as I remember it, it looked great, like 100% of the time. And then the moment when fights did start, I'm when they when the animators locked in, oh, it just it gave you that animation where it just became butter.

SPEAKER_02

But I'm telling you, if you go re-watch it again, you're gonna sit there and be like, man, they could have made this rock cleaner.

SPEAKER_00

They could have made his rock. That's crazy, dude. Nobody gets that type of treatment. What? Okay, first off, JJ, okay, I know JJ Gay is going over the top right now, okay? But you cannot sit here and tell me that every 2020s and 2010s hit her will get the same amount of love. Bro, you're telling me. It's not no, dude. They would they would, you know who they would give it to? If they were gonna reanimate it, they'll probably give it to JC staff. You know who JC staff is? It's the same trash, garbage ass company that's making One Punch Man Season 3. That's what I'm saying. Like right now, they're not focused no more. We don't have no more Madhouse, and Madhouse is still doing its own thing, but they're not they're not top dogs, it's Moppa. And Moppa is it's done, like it's got so many animes to work on, and sometimes it slips up. Sometimes it gives us it gives us 3D instead of 2D.

SPEAKER_02

Let me tell you something, son. When you get something that you just need a small duration team, this is no you don't need rewriters.

SPEAKER_00

We're talking hundreds of people, dude. Hundreds of people to get an out bi-weekly episode, which will be necessary for something like Food Meadow. You cannot go seasons, it would take 20 years to go seasons. You need a week by week. We're talking hundreds of people minimum. We're talking millions of dollars today nowadays. It's not feasible unless you got something like Netflix to do it. You think Netflix is gonna put their money on that? Yes. Hell no, hell no. End of the live action series. Because live action brings in more views than animation does for them. That's why everything is getting a live action. That's why everything is getting a live action. That's why Avatar The Last Airbender is getting a live action. That's why One Piece is getting a live action. You just brought up Blue Lock is getting a live action because that brings normal humans to watch it, not passionate fans. We are still outnumbered. Passionate fans are still outnumbered from the normies.

SPEAKER_02

So you know you can give me some wine, a little bit of a steak before you bend me over and fuck me, right?

SPEAKER_00

I'm sorry. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

SPEAKER_02

It's just it just hurts. I don't know why this hurts so badly. I wasn't this passionate about it when this came up, but I'm just saying right now, why whatever, whatever. I guess I don't get my full metal alchemist. I can't just keep going back in circles with it. I will try to re-fight for full metal to get a reanimation or something, but I I'm just saying, if you go back and re-watch all those clips, the rock could be shinier.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, I guess. The grass could be crispier, whatever you say, bro. The dog's eyes can look colder. You're acting like Naruto didn't have a painting for a background.

Black Clover Return And Anime Movies

SPEAKER_02

Hey, the doctor can look a little bit more psychotic. You can see the shiner on the doctor's head a little bit better. Hey, the cigarette smoke hits a little differently. The zippo lineup hits a little differently. No, I don't know why I'm hype. I'm hyping myself up a lot right now, but I'm just saying. Alright. So at least so since we're talking about my dreams, let's talk about reality. How hyped are you for Black Clover season two coming out? Black Clover, oh boy. Remember that anime that started this whole gener new generation?

SPEAKER_00

That was a long time ago, huh? That was a very long time ago. Man, it sucks, man. That the way the way it just takes it all, and that way they just drop the ball. It sucks. It's heartbreaking. But to be honest with you, I'm very excited. Now that this is coming back, I'm gonna from now on till October-ish, right? That's around the timer comes back. I think it's October. I'm trying to, I'm gonna try to rewatch the whole thing. It's gonna take me a minute, but um right now, I'm on it.

SPEAKER_02

I'm trying to rewatch a lot of things, and that's first of all, you guys still watch My Hero, and I still gotta watch Farron. I stopped at episode four. Yeah, I hey I got to episode four though.

SPEAKER_00

I think I got to like episode two of my hero, and then I just like alright, I got something other things to watch. So I just watched other things instead.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no, same with Farron. Yeah, you know, uh it's like, alright, I gave it one episode. No, I mean I actually enough for me, bro. Listen, I guess I'll go to episode five.

SPEAKER_00

That's like me, me jump into like season three, bro.

SPEAKER_02

I promise you you're gonna love my hero once you get into it. But yeah, no, I'm I'm excited for Black Clover.

SPEAKER_00

I know you're super hype for Black Clover.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, dude, I'm so hyped for Black Clover, dude. When Asta comes back, is bro, it's gonna be like, bro, I've been saving your seat this whole time. You've been my young nigga from the start.

SPEAKER_00

I wonder how the I wonder how the you know the new anime fans are gonna react to something like that. Because Asta's a very rough character. He's not he's not a butter character.

SPEAKER_02

I think they gotta just get used to his screaming and then they'll be fine. You'll have people that can't that can't handle his.

SPEAKER_00

They're gonna go crazy for you know right away.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, no, he's fine. He he's probably gonna keep him there. But the reason why they what might hate Asta is just because he yells a lot. But other than that, I don't see bro.

SPEAKER_00

No, Asta's a great character, but yeah, that yelling is incredibly yelling, especially in Japanese.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's bro, it's worse. It's so bad. It gets bad. But you know, Asta's so dope that you just you go you overcome it, then you realize that that's just him.

SPEAKER_00

Five episodes in and you don't even notice no more.

SPEAKER_02

I know. But when someone shuts him up, you kind of get happy. You get a little like you smile a little bit.

SPEAKER_00

Like, all right, all right, we're getting there. We're getting there.

SPEAKER_02

We get in there, all right. On the next one. But now I'm pretty excited about that.

SPEAKER_00

Should be a good time to be honest with you.

SPEAKER_02

It's fucking, but you know what's crazy how that anime is coming back to finish up. Kaiju number eight just started, like not even two years ago. And we're on our final, like, is this real? We're getting on the final season of kaiju number eight already.

SPEAKER_00

I think third season is gonna be the last one.

SPEAKER_02

Are they gonna do like a part one, part two movie?

SPEAKER_00

That's a great question. We don't really do that.

SPEAKER_02

Is that what they're doing?

SPEAKER_00

Part one, part two, and then a movie at the end. They might do that. I I feel like the part one and part two is definitely feasible. A movie, I feel like that's kind of like a like a you know, dust in the wind that maybe, but I feel like.

SPEAKER_02

I'm doing that because I'm doing that because of Demon Slayer.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_02

That's the only reason why I bring the movie in.

SPEAKER_00

You generally don't know who's who is or who isn't making a movie nowadays.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and I can really hard I'm annoyed by it now. Yeah, because now, like you have to go out of your way. No, if you like an anime so much and it becomes that popular, who knows if we even get JJK to end in a series, it might end in a movie.

SPEAKER_00

Cash grabs, all cash grabs, all cash graphs. It doesn't even do anything for us. I mean, you could just give me the movie and give me the whole season, too. I'll watch both.

SPEAKER_02

Like, think of this like they made all that money off of the Demon Slayer movie. It's been a year now. That's that's crazy, dude. Have you seen it? Like, have you seen it on any site? Crunchyroll, where you are you able to buy it, or do you see it in stores? I haven't seen it anywhere. Have you? Nowhere. It's like they came out with a great movie about a great show that we love to watch. You made us pay hella money to keep watching it, and now we can't even watch it.

SPEAKER_00

Ridiculous.

SPEAKER_02

What are you gonna bring it back in the movie theaters?

SPEAKER_00

They might do that because they're doing that now. They're they're bringing back movies that are like four years old, dude. It makes no sense to me. Back in the day, you bring a movie that was 40 years old, 30 years old. Now you're bringing back a movie that's less than 10 years old. That makes no sense to me, bro. I just watched it yesterday. You know what I mean? Like, I I remember watching it. I was in the theater when it came out. Why am I already watching it again? Like, why are you I'm not gonna watch it, right? But why are you bringing it back so early, bro? Give it time, give it, give it, give it space. It does it makes sense.

SPEAKER_02

I just wanna watch it at home. That's more the problem with Demon Slayer, bro. You can't even watch that at home. Unless if you're a pirate. Yeah, other than that, you can watch that.

SPEAKER_00

It's not fun, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

Sometimes you just wanna I just want to enjoy the like that's something I'll pay for.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Just so I could turn it on.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And I can't even pay for it. I wouldn't have been paid for it.

SPEAKER_00

It's ridiculous, dude. I mean, I that's that's another thing too. Obviously, as it expands to new levels, you're just gonna see it scatter. You're not gonna be too concentrated.

Spoilers TikTok Clout And Fake Fans

SPEAKER_02

Like, you're gonna see it scatter and go crazy, but it's just like I'm annoyed. I'm just annoyed by how anime is becoming, bro. That's why we made this podcast. We gotta bring this shit back to normal, bro. Like, this is just getting out of hand, bro. Fucking manga people are controlling the anime narrative. TikTokers are controlling how anime is fucking wrapped around. People repping anime just to get a fucking glimpse on TikTok and then all of a sudden turn into something else. Nah, dude, it's it's not even none of this is real no more. All this is just some bullshit hypers going off a hype alone just to get famous.

SPEAKER_00

I never I never would have seen this coming. Like, you know, but five years ago, 10 years ago, I never would have seen this coming.

SPEAKER_02

No, I told you a couple years ago that yo, the anime war is coming and it was about to be a crazy one. And it was more like, and I remember when you got excited seeing all these new anime fans, people wearing anime gear, and I told you this is gonna this was gonna be a doomsday. Now we have fake anime fans, now we have anime fans that think they know the best. Now they're trying to rewrite history, now they're trying to make their anime's the top top dog, and not because like it's just crazy. Now anime's everywhere, bro. Yeah, everyone got their own opinion, everyone got a mic, everyone got a phone, so now there is nothing to ring anime back in, and no one's guiding anybody.

SPEAKER_00

No, everybody's just doing everything at once, you know what I mean. We definitely we definitely need like a center.

SPEAKER_02

The spoilers alone, bro.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, you guys, they're they're legitly single-handedly ruining like the satisfaction of watching an episode come out.

SPEAKER_02

I don't need to know every single week how JJK's doing, bro. I watch it, bro. We we talked about JJK because of Monkey. Yeah, that was it. She went crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Great episode.

SPEAKER_02

But we ain't gonna come back here next week and say, hey, let's talk about episode five.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, now if something crazy goes on, we'll let you know.

SPEAKER_02

If something went down, where we say, hey, bro, I know y'all sleeping on this. Nah, nah, nah, you gotta turn this shit on.

SPEAKER_00

We're not gonna tell you what happens to who, where's where. It just makes it too extra.

SPEAKER_02

It's too much extra shit, and I don't need to go in detail with y'all about one fucking anime, and I don't need to do all that shit.

SPEAKER_00

But this is a standard now, basically. It is across the board. It's across the board. And it is, and we're seeing it at the highest level, right? Which is to be expected, but now we're seeing it at lower levels too, like random and like not random, but smaller anime getting spoiled so quickly because of the manga or because of this. Someone wants to be the first to tell you what happens. Like, that's cool, bro. But I want to get there on my own pace. I want things to be steady. I wanna I wanna experience the joy of watching an episode fresh without it getting spoiled 20 minutes ago when I logged into my phone.

SPEAKER_02

Like, hear me out. The only reason why I'm so passionate about spoilers and like we should just anybody who's spoiling, who's getting rep off of just talking about manga, which I'm not hating. Like you could talk about manga, but like keep it broad. Keep it broad, bro. No spoilers.

SPEAKER_00

Just give me information that'll get me excited. Don't give me information that will spoil my excitement.

SPEAKER_02

Spoilers. Like, I know you want to get the clicks. I know you want the views. But bro, let's put it this way. I lashed out at one of the people I follow on TikTok. I didn't really lash out. I just messaged him and I didn't even like hate on him. I just like, bro, I even said I loved your cart content and gave him a heart, a little heart thing, so he knows I ain't I'm not you, bro. I didn't want him to think I'm you. I think.

SPEAKER_00

Well, first off, you're worse than me because I will never even text anybody and tell them that.

SPEAKER_02

It was more like put it in the comments, bro. Put that shit in the comments. I put I talk my shit in the comments. I talk my shit in the comments. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_00

I I I talk I would tell people I care about what my con what my comments are, but I won't tell the people what my comments are.

SPEAKER_02

No, if I if I think someone's gonna have a funny back and forth, I'll I'll swing. Let's see. I'll just have a like a like if you're gonna try to be hateful and hurtful, then I'm not gonna play with it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, of course.

SPEAKER_02

Like I'm not gonna play with let's have a conversation, right? But if we're gonna be like moderate oritachi, oh what are you talking about, son? Wake up to re little question mark. What are you talking about, son?

SPEAKER_00

What but um oh yeah, so you texted him, what'd he say? Texted who the the the spoiler person, the the fan, the person you were a fan of.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, I just was like, all your content hasn't been nothing about anime. You never talked once about anime, bro. Everything you talked about has been about UFC, gaming, and like fandom, elden ring, all of that. That's what your content was. All of a sudden, when JJK comes out, all of a sudden you have a full you have four posts in one day about Gojo. Four posts in one day about anime.

SPEAKER_00

A little suspicious, huh?

SPEAKER_02

Four, like, then you have a post about Maki.

SPEAKER_00

It's all about the hype moment.

SPEAKER_02

Like, bro, then now I'm understanding. Like, hey, I understand y'all. Y'all, y'all look at the trend, y'all realize that anime's hype. You some 10-year-old or some high schooler is gonna see your content talking about anime and say, hey, cool, this guy talks about anime. I should follow him. Bruh, I don't want you to, I don't want you in the anime conversation, bro. You don't need to be in the anime conversation, you don't respect anime like I do, bro. I love the hype moments. I want to get people into the hype moments, but I also just want to talk about bullshit, like bullshit of like what really want to talk about. Like, what's the real topics of anime, bro? Like, we need a fixed crunchy roll. Yeah, we need a fixed crunchy roll award ceremony.

SPEAKER_00

I want to fix the spoilers of animeers, and you only get that type of power with power, with power, and that's what we're aiming for. We're not trying to destroy the system, we're trying to help it realign.

SPEAKER_02

Fuck you, dude. I'm Elden, I'm fucking Game of Thrones. We're breaking it.

SPEAKER_00

No, I mean I get that, but at the same time. But at the same time, we're breaking the real to rebuild it with that shit. We're breaking it to rebuild. No matter exactly, no matter how much damage you're gonna take, you're gonna spit out externally, at the end of the day, all you wanted to do is just align it as a whole again. That's the speaker.

The Unspoken Rules Of Anime Talk

SPEAKER_02

Speaking of aligning as a whole, speaking of aligning as a whole, this is the one question I have to an OG hating ass anime person. I'm trying to calm myself with your hate. Dave Chappelle, help me out. If you have hate in your heart, let it out. Chappelle, Chappelle Show, Chappelle Show. If you are the OG animator, what would be the one unspoken rule that you have to all anime fans around the world? What is that one unspoken rule? I don't care how much you love anime, you cannot do this. This is an unspoken rule.

SPEAKER_00

As a whole, as a whole, spoilers as a whole, like on a broad basis, right? No spoilers, unless, unless I you're specifically asked me for a spoiler, or I specifically asked you for a spoiler. For like that's an understanding that we've been we've been bringing since back in the old days, because you couldn't just log into Instagram and then be like, oh, new episode drop. This is exactly what happened. But now more than ever, I feel like the conversation power personally, I don't do power scale conversations. Like no matter who I talk to, I don't do power scales because there is no true answer. It's just more about who yells the loudest and who starts stops having the conversation first. And that's where it really ends.

SPEAKER_02

Unless if you're Sotero Gojo.

SPEAKER_03

You know, it's just it's Suganna, you know. Oh yeah, you know, sugar, you know. But it's just one of those things.

SPEAKER_00

It's one of those things. Like, we could talk about who does things the coolest. Like, that's that's thing, that's one thing I'm passionate about. Oh, yeah, no, we can do it.

SPEAKER_02

And we could talk we could do the crash outs, the coolest. That's what this ends. Oh, that's that's what this podcast is about. We talk about the crash outs, the fucking coolest moments, or not even the coolest moments, just like what would you do? Just like random topics you're going to have. We don't need to have more fucking hard to do.

SPEAKER_00

When you're having when you're having a great conversation with someone that you find that you align with, I do think that sometimes it spins into other narratives or it spins into other points, right? Like, for example, with us, we could talk about one specific we we start at the start and then we end West or something like that when we're having a conversation because we never really stick to one thing because you get on fire and then you start talking about random topics, but you always keep it in the basis of not jumping outside the bubble where you're gonna start talking about spoilers or you're gonna start talking about power scaling or something like that. That's one thing I don't partake in, to be honest with you.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, okay, okay.

SPEAKER_00

What about you?

SPEAKER_02

Mine's is gonna be like I want to say this is an unspoken rule, but it's like a rule that now I don't know if I can accept, but it should be a rule. Ten years in, you if you an OG anime fan and you know your anime authenticness, you can't these young anime fans can't tell you nothing. And when I was like when the anime when this anime surge hit and there were so many new anime fans, I was starting to think that that was true. But then I started thinking about this. There's always that one anime that no one could tell you anything about because you watched it so many times. Like, let's say, like, personally, I have a lot, but I'm gonna put one My Hero, My Hero Academia. You ain't gonna tell me nothing about that. Like, I know my hero academia from front to back of my head. There ain't nothing you could say to say I don't know my My Hero Academia, but also there could be also a younger person than me that that was his first anime. He only watched that anime, he read the manga of that anime, he knows like secret stuff I didn't even know about that anime. He's like 13. So now does it come to the point if you're an OG fan, you have all rights to talk about anime and how you can want about talk about anime, or has it become to a point where it's fair game to anyone to talk about anime? It's just like now it became a discussion. Because let's be real, me and you don't grow up on Demon Slayer and JJK, but these kids did. Yeah, I mean, this is that's probably the first thing they watched. That was the intro. That was the intro. So, off of just the intro alone, you know, you know for a fact that they they know it. Yeah, they know it from front to back, they know everything there is to know, they know. They know the creator, like how we love Oda and Kishimoto, they love that author at five times more, yeah, ten times more. They love that author more than anything in the world.

SPEAKER_00

So, what can we say? I mean, I feel like if you're having a conversation with someone, the only thing they could really get you on is if they fact check you. Right? Like if they start checking you with the facts that you're probably kind of either overlooked or you weren't too aware of, they could probably get you at some points. But I feel like, you know, if you want to switch the conversation to a different anime, you shut everything off because you're like, okay, you know, this is all you know. Like you just you you you're super passionate about one thing, you probably don't really know too much about anything in the broader spectrum. But I feel like for normal, like like more OG fans, they can bounce around animes all day. They can even if they don't really know too much about something, they've heard about it. Because that's kind of what happens, right? You haven't seen all the animes that that ever been made, but you've heard about them, or at least you've heard about the big ones. There's so many levels to anime as a whole that yeah, someone could you could fact check me about my hero academia all day because you know I'm not a fan like you, but if we start talking about other stuff, I feel like the conversation gets pretty deep and it gets good because then you're we're both checking each other on things we didn't know.

Will Big Anime Always Get Sequels

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no, that's what makes a good anime conversation. Instead of power scaling or talking about who's better than who, I love more of a conversation of why is this character cooler than your character? Yeah, or like what the fuck, dude. Like just those type of conversations, those conversations that come up in your head and you just want to have them. Exactly. What was gonna say, but yeah, no, that'll be more that would be more my unspoken rule. But really, what I really wanted to talk about today, do you really think that like animes get sequels and like that's the new standard? Like, standard anime, if you are a big anime, is it the standard that you automatically will have a sequel in the future? If you are one of the top dogs, top hitters.

SPEAKER_00

Well, like if you bring money in any sort of way, they probably will force you. Because obviously, you know, as a creator as a whole, you do have power, but then you're still just an employee to the company, so they could force you enough to where they will ask for a sequel, and it's not a new concept, right? It's just becoming a little bigger now than it was before because we already had sequels. We have Berudo, and then now, for example, and then we had uh like Seven Daily Sins, and now as a whole, we have JJK, which is a it's in a crazy spot right now because JJK is not even fin the manga's already finished, the anime is barely on season three, and then they already came out with JJK 2.0 basically a sequel to the manga. Is it a continuation? Not really, but it is a sequel in a way because even though the main characters in it, he's not the main MC, you know what I mean? He's just part, he's like a distant part of it, at least now that we're 20 chapters in. So I would count that as like a sequel instead of hand being the attention, it moves on to a different character. And then obviously, you had my hero do that as well.

SPEAKER_02

So I do think as a whole My Hero, that sequel, I want to more count it as a continuation because what they're doing is more talking about everything about the sequel of My Hero is stuff that happened in the in the original, so but it I would say it kind of Like they're following the current timeline, they're just like telling you what's been happening while the other stuff's been happening.

SPEAKER_00

I get your point, but the only reason I would count it as a sequel is because it doesn't, even though, yeah, and and plot-wise, it does align to the main story, it's a whole different thing, right? Like you're casting new characters, you're casting new storylines, even if they do kind of collide at some point, we're with a whole new cast. So that's when it be it jumps more into like a sequel category. If what's the main guy? Well, the green haired guy, what's his name?

SPEAKER_02

Deku?

SPEAKER_00

Deku. If Deku was in it in the story, that would count as a sequel, like that would count as a continuation because he's still part of the story. But the manga's done. The My Hero Academia manga is done, the anime is done. This is just on the side, they're doing their own thing, but this is just new characters, new storylines, all that stuff, right? Even if it is like I said, if it still aligns, you just have a whole new story being based around the big atmosphere. So I would count that more of a sequel, to be honest with you. I just think it fits better than if you just said it's like a spin-off continuation, is but you don't have the main characters being part of the foundation no more.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, fair enough. Fair enough. So why doesn't Naruto?

SPEAKER_00

Because it really jumps more to Bo Ruto and you have like a time jump. And it's not even Naruto's part of the story, but he's not the story. You know what I mean? It's now his his little trash son. Put some respect on his little trash garbage kid.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, no, no. I would have I would have let you have that. Damn, it's been a long time. I would have let you have that five years ago and let you prove that statement.

SPEAKER_00

The new anime is not out yet, so I still have time. No, no, no. The new anime is not out yet, so I still have time.

SPEAKER_02

If you have a disrespect Baruto that's been doing all God's work, like I said, anime's not out yet, so what counts. We're gonna have a problem.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, I won't say what I said.

SPEAKER_02

He's been doing God's work.

SPEAKER_00

Manga only. You don't understand. I understand, but that's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. So Bo Brudo as a whole, it's not really just it's a whole new generation of characters. You know what I mean? We're we're talking what, 20 years in the future and stuff like that. New generation of characters. The old characters are still part of the story, but they're not the story no more. And that's what I'll count as a sequel. Even if if it's your kids, that's a whole sequel. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

So, all right, in that case, in the new generation, besides JJK, who do you think will get a sequel?

SPEAKER_00

Demon Slayer, without a doubt. It's it is a huge IP in all aspects. You can literally tell me about the story of the past with Demon Slayer. You can tell me, well, the future is kind of like a loosey lose because with animes like these, even though you know the world was safe or whatever the heck, they always found like a new new plot device to be like, oh, a new bat is coming out and you they gotta save the world again or something like that. I I don't like those type of things. But with an IP that big, I could definitely see them doing it. They already went way out of their way to give us movies instead of seasons, so it's not far out left to think that they would just randomly come up with a new plot to be like, oh, we got a whole new thing going on now and you gotta save the world. But if they were gonna give us a sequel, I'd say they give us one from the past. That's the safest bet. You'd go back to the past and give us a beginning of the demons and ghouls and vampires or whatever the heck is out there. It's still a big world, there's still a lot to be explored.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. That's it.

SPEAKER_00

That's it. We're there. This is a whole new era.

SPEAKER_02

So, like, out of all the new animes, nobody else deserves a sequel. Like, One Punch Man don't deserve a sequel.

SPEAKER_00

No, absolutely not. Farron don't deserve a sequel. We're barely season two. The manga's not even finished yet, so there's really no definitive answer.

SPEAKER_02

Kaiju number eight don't deserve a season a sequel.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know if the manga's done, but the anime's being manga's done. Manga's done?

SPEAKER_02

Manga's done.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, it's not a big hitter, you know what I mean? It doesn't have I'm not saying it's not big. Don't get me wrong, before you decide to twist my words and and say something I didn't say. Alright? But what I'm saying is, I don't think it's at that level where you would build a whole new company just to make a sequel out of it. But are you on Chilmai? With Kaiju? No, bro. Number eight. No. Kaiju Kaiju is a solid, great anime. But there will be no reason to make a sequel. There is no Kaiju expectations.

SPEAKER_02

Is a nine.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but there's no expectations. You're not what's coming after. You know what I mean? It's just it's there, it's doing his thing.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you think the kaijus are gonna just stop?

SPEAKER_00

I mean, how's it end? We don't even know how the anime ends. I haven't even read the manga. I've actually been loyal to that one and I'm watching the anime only. But like, I haven't even read the one in it.

SPEAKER_02

You can't you can't spoil it. No, no, no.

SPEAKER_00

That's what I'm saying. Like, I don't know how you know I I would expected to you had I read it, but I haven't read it, so I can't really throw you a bone. God, okay.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

What would you think?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Kind of definitely.

SPEAKER_02

Kaiju?

SPEAKER_00

Definitely. Okay, what else? Just to see where your head's at.

SPEAKER_02

I'll be honest with you, there's so many new animes out here, but if you're talking about sequel rights, none of them deserve it unless if you're an old-time anime.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, but we know that a lot of them only Full Metal Alchemists. Okay. Story's done, but I guess.

SPEAKER_02

No, like a whole sequel. Like, just like they were there, go to the city. No, I know that.

SPEAKER_00

I'm saying the story was perfect.

SPEAKER_02

Make a new story.

SPEAKER_00

If they remaster it, like you want, probably.

SPEAKER_02

Like, think about it right now. You don't think in Full Metal Alchemist World, there ain't another duo doing some crazy shit. There's so many worlds you could do that.

SPEAKER_00

Like so many anime universes that have great world building that you could do that.

SPEAKER_02

But full metal alchemist is the best. Full Metal Alchemist is the best.

SPEAKER_00

No, I mean, I wouldn't deny the fact that the world building is phenomenal.

SPEAKER_02

Like, imagine if they just did a whole series about greed.

SPEAKER_00

Imagine if they did a whole series about a Hashira, you know what I mean? Like, it would it would work. Like, you'll be able to see so many different stories. But but okay, but going back to the basic. If it's not, you know, what would you say deserves or is big enough to get a sequel? Not a blast from the past. We know full metal might make a return at some point. It's just it's bound to happen. It's too big.

SPEAKER_02

Honestly, just full metal.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

Bro, ghost that ghost shield guy is getting a new anime. Why can't Full Metal get one? Like, she like how many reboots does she get? I don't get one.

SPEAKER_00

You got two already.

SPEAKER_02

Bro, she the ghost shield got like three. This is gonna be the third one, and it looks so good. It's not fair. Full metal should get one.

SPEAKER_00

You want three now?

SPEAKER_02

Yes!

SPEAKER_00

Damn, that's four. That's gonna be we're talking about like a thousand episodes right there, dude.

SPEAKER_02

Remake the old original one and bro.

SPEAKER_00

Remake the the second one that already did what the first one didn't. What do you mean? Just so we can have to remake the second one.

SPEAKER_02

Just so just so the children can understand the pain.

SPEAKER_00

There's there's actual animes that have downfalls that deserve it. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

But I'm just saying they gotta go week to week on the original one, feel the pain at the end, and then watch the original, original one, Brotherhood, and feel great.

SPEAKER_00

We're supposed to hope for the best for the kids, not the worst.

SPEAKER_02

No, it's called character development.

SPEAKER_00

We had some of that, they deserve better. We're still getting character development right now, bro.

SPEAKER_02

Imagine the rock. It would just look so great. Oh my god, dude. Like him hitting the floor, it coming out the ground. Just imagine the rock. It's already great, bro.

SPEAKER_00

It's already great.

SPEAKER_02

It could be better. His muscles can be more dialect. The dude with the X scar, the scar can just be more detailed. The eyes can be more colder.

SPEAKER_00

Everything is gonna be overanimated, dude.

SPEAKER_02

Can I please just no?

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I'm telling you what it is. I don't know what you want to hear. I'm telling you what it is. You you were one of the lucky, not even one of the lucky, one of the rarest ones. Then why can't I be super rare and get three?

SPEAKER_02

You are like if you're calling me rare, let me be super rare and get three, bruh.

SPEAKER_03

At that point, bro.

SPEAKER_02

Like if I can start this movement, a full metal alchemist brotherhood getting a remaster, suck my dick. Like, come on, bro. That would be so dope.

SPEAKER_00

So many more animes deserve a remaster, bro. Nope. So many deserve a soul eater. Nope. That's another one that has quality. And they fumbled, they actually fumbled it at the end.

SPEAKER_02

Wait, wait, wait, wait. Are you talking about a remaster where they just remaster the whole thing and just update the graphics or a remake where they re where they rewrite the ending? Well they rewrite the ending. If they're talking about rewriting the ending, then yes, I will say Soul Eader, and I wouldn't put brotherhood because I want brotherhood just remastered. The ending's perfect, the beginning's perfect, the middle's perfect, the dog's perfect, the rock is perfect. There's no other anime that deserves it.

SPEAKER_00

OG Naruto definitely deserves it.

SPEAKER_02

Too many anime episodes.

SPEAKER_00

250 episodes per season. Too many episodes. How many is full metal?

SPEAKER_02

Like Brotherhood only.

SPEAKER_00

Uh that's the second one.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, the good one.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I think, dude, honestly, I think maybe. 90 tops. 90 episodes, that's crazy, though.

SPEAKER_03

Well, actually, that's not that bad. That's not that bad. That's not bad.

SPEAKER_02

If you're making money off of it, it's not that bad. And you're making money off of something you just had to update. You didn't even really have to pay anybody to come back. That's not bad, actually.

SPEAKER_00

90 episodes?

SPEAKER_02

Nope, 64.

SPEAKER_00

60 64 episodes? That's it.

SPEAKER_02

Damn, why do I remember 64 episodes in total to watch the whole thing? A five-star anime. Why do I remember like five-star anime, motherfucker?

SPEAKER_00

Are you shocked? Don't be shocked.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not shocked. I'm just saying, why doesn't it 64 episodes? Think about it, bro.

SPEAKER_00

Think of the rock. Think of the grass. For that scale, that's definitely feasible. I was thinking hundreds of episodes, and I was way off.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_00

I was way off.

SPEAKER_02

We can't even break 70.

SPEAKER_00

So, yes, that's definitely feasible, especially for a name that big.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely. So tell me who deserves it more.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna say. See, I'm gonna say Overlord because it's probably one of the more hurting. One of the biggest anime in Japan. No, no, no, no. This is a facto. This is a facto.

SPEAKER_02

In Japan, Overlord is one of the biggest animes. First of all, it has to finish first to get a remake. You have to have an ending to get a remake.

SPEAKER_00

Give me three seasons and then go to sleep and then come back after it's done.

SPEAKER_02

No, it's cool, bro. No, no. You're begging for a new season. That's a completely different story. I want you to tell me who had the perfect story. Small, direct, got into the action like nobody. There's nobody else where the rock looks so perfect that it deserves another remake.

SPEAKER_00

There's nobody like that.

SPEAKER_02

Then why can't I get my rock?

SPEAKER_00

Because you're already the exception. You're already the exception.

SPEAKER_02

I want three.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, you never know.

SPEAKER_02

Whatever. I'm getting it.

SPEAKER_00

If we get the power, we change the power.

SPEAKER_02

If we get the power, I want my rock.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, I want a lot of new rock.

SPEAKER_02

Dude, do you understand how much like the like his like oh like everything, dude? I just want it. I I want a remaster of full metal alchemist brotherhood. If we want to bring in the old one to be cruel to the kids, I'm fine with that too. It's okay as long as brotherhood gets in play. It's all I want in my life. It's too much to ask for.

SPEAKER_00

Today's an age.

SPEAKER_02

How about it's free money they're making. I'm giving them money. Do you need me to start the donations?

SPEAKER_00

It's not about it's not up for them, it's not about the money that they'll make. It's about the money that they'll spend. They're not looking toward the future. They're looking toward the right now.

SPEAKER_02

Tell me the bill so I can raise it, so I can show y'all how to run a place, a business.

SPEAKER_00

It's just corruption all over the place.

SPEAKER_02

Whatever. Whatever. I'm over this.

SPEAKER_00

I'm over this shit.

Weekend Plans And The One Rule

SPEAKER_02

Alright, broski. You ready for the weekend?

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. What are you doing? Tomorrow is what, Saturday? I have a UFC fight coming up. Not crazy. It's nothing crazy, but I just want to go home, sit back, enjoy it. And then please do something. That's that's tomorrow, right? Yeah. That's all I'm doing tomorrow. Go to a concert. I'm working. I'm busy. I got I got things. Well, not things to do, but go fishing. It's gonna be late. I don't like to be out late. I like to be out early.

SPEAKER_02

No, go night fishing. Night fishing sounds dope.

SPEAKER_00

Nah. I mean, I don't know. Around here is nothing crazy. I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

I've seen I've just seen one of my friends catch a shark.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's cool. I've never got that lucky.

SPEAKER_02

He got two. Damn. I know. I was like, damn, that's pretty sick. I like the second one. I wonder if I can show you real quick.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's most likely like a little, like a little, like a little leopard shark, right? The one with the spots on it and all that. Yeah, they're very, very Yeah. I mean, not saying easy to catch, but they're very popular out here. Yeah. They're bottom feeders. They eat whatever you throw. Damn, that's a big one. Yeah, that's a big one.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no. So you should go night fishing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'm probably gonna have to check out a pier.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, check out a pier. I saw that and I thought that was really dope.

SPEAKER_00

Bro, it gets so cold that night.

SPEAKER_02

No, it just looks something fun, and I don't even fish, so I think you'll have fun with that. It is so cold. And honestly, honestly, if you do it in San Francisco and you pick like a weekend or something, like a Saturday or something, I will start my weekend fishing with you before I head to the club. Alright, guys, we're out of here. Remember the number one rule of the I'm just saying podcast. Watch some motherfucking anime. Just watch it. Why not, bro? Like it's just anime. It ain't gonna bite. Pick something. It's a genre. Alright, I'm out of here, Buck. I want a pizza. Is that pizza ready? Peace.
