Read It Right Radio Show
Welcome to the Read it Right Radio Show! Our program is dedicated to empowering the next generation of STEM leaders through representation. We firmly believe that every young person, regardless of their background, should have the opportunity to pursue their interests in science, technology, engineering, and math. By highlighting the stories of underrepresented individuals in these fields, we aim to inspire and motivate our listeners to pursue their passions and make a positive impact on the world.

EP#80 - AI AND THE PATH FORWARD with Mike Todasco
In this episode of the Read It Right Radio Show, I sit down with Mike Todasco, Visiting Fellow at San Diego State AI Center, to discuss the evolving role of AI, its impact on jobs, and the ethical considerations surrounding its use.
Here Are Some of the Questions I Ask Mike Todasco:
- Is AI really going to take jobs, and what can people do to stay relevant?
- How can professionals, like executive assistants, adapt to the rise of AI?
- What are some ethical concerns regarding AI, especially when it comes to creative work?
- How are different countries handling AI regulations?
- What is the best way for someone to start using AI in their everyday life?
- How important is the way we prompt AI, and what are some best practices?
Here Are Some Key Points Discussed in This Episode About AI and the Path Forward:
- AI is already replacing jobs, but the key is learning how to use AI as a tool to enhance your work, not replace it.
- Repetitive, process-driven tasks are at the highest risk of automation, but strategic, human-centered roles will remain essential.
- Different countries have different legal approaches to AI ethics—Japan is more open, Europe is stricter, and the U.S. falls somewhere in between.
- Using AI in everyday life—from meal planning to email writing—helps build familiarity and confidence in using the technology.
- AI improves with feedback—the more you interact with it, the more it tailors responses to your needs.
