Intro:

Hello Everyone! Welcome to The Game of Life Podcast; I am Alexandria Burek and I am your host.

If you are new here, thank you for joining us (me) on this journey, if you have become a regular, I am sending you so much love and gratitude for spending this time with me each and every week. My goal is to share inspiration that helps us all elevate our internal and external worlds. Lets put so much good out in the world that our lives and world transform before our eyes.

It's 2025 and we are on the metaphysical magic carpet ride: diving deep into each of the twelve laws of the metaphysical universe each month–this week we are closing out the law of divine oneness and next we will move on to the law of vibration.

In today’s episode, you can expect to hear stories about how synchronicities in our lives reinforce the law of divine oneness, gain insights from the book Power vs. Force, and walk away with practical tools to leave a positive mark on the world.

Before we get into the thick of it, I will kick it off with a quick personal update.

Personal Update:

Last week I shared that I got to spend time with one of my favorite people, my grandma. Saturday, we were sitting in her apartment and she told me a new story (which I always love) about the time she went to a gay bar and a woman was hitting on her sister (how cool right? How many grandmas tell their granddaughters about their adventures to gay bars?), we ate lunch, we were just talking and laughing like we always do. Monday she called, and we talked about the inauguration; she shared what she remembered about the day MLK was killed, which we had never talked about before. Tuesday afternoon, she suffered a massive stroke leaving her paralyzed on her right side and mentally different than she was before. I am sharing this to say, we all get comfortable and expect everything will always be the way it is, and that the people we love will be there tomorrow, and the next day and the next day. Most of the time we are right, but in the last few years, I have learned all too well, that this is true, until it is not. Love your grandparents–and tell them. Prioritize time with your parents. When you see your best friends, make sure you are present. Don’t take life's blessings today for granted.

On a brighter note, I will share a little running update–I got my new running shoes and YOU GUYS–GAMECHANGER. I cannot believe I ran as much as I did without these. I am EVEN more excited to run now that I have AMAZING shoes to run in. Ran 3 miles effortlessly and CANNOT wait to run again.

With that, let's get into the final part of The Law of Divine Oneness.

The Law of Divine Oneness

In part one, we learned what the law of divine oneness is: we are all connected, we all come from one divine source, everything is connected: every thought, every word, every action, and every decision influences the collective. We found real life manifestations of the ripple effect in the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Facebook Like button, and the 2010 market crash. In part two, we discovered that the law of divine oneness was the common denominator in Buddhist philosophies, Quantum Physics, and Hindu teachings, each drawing on different aspects of the law of divine oneness to explain and explore the essence of life. Using the law of divine oneness, we poked holes in commonly held beliefs; we now know we are not actually alone, and that separation is a surface level and ego driven illusion, and that our actions–small and big–DO matter, and that healing ourselves, has positive ripple effects on the collective. In part three, we devised 5 powerful strategies that move us towards a world of interconnectedness and compassion. First by taking an empathetic approach internally and externally, second by setting intentions, not expectations, third by acknowledging the ripple effect and acknowledging the impact of a kind gesture, fourth by shifting from ME to WE and finding ways to contribute to our communities, and meditating so we can all show up a little more calm. We also explored how the ego is in direct conflict with our authentic and vulnerable selves and that the ego is really behind the feelings and illusion of separation. We acknowledged that believing in the unseen can be a challenge; if we can get on board with bluetooth and wifi and wireless charging we already believe in the unseen, why not embrace the law of divine oneness and more broadly the universal laws.

Which brings us here today.

To close out our adventure with the law of divine oneness, I am going to share with you the handful of recent examples of synchronicities that I’ve experienced, weaving in some ideas about how we can apply this to our lives.

The first synchronicity that stands out, is a book I started at the beginning of this year. The book is titled Power vs Force, it came out in 1995; I would recommend it if you are interested in the universal laws, Quantum Physics (like really sciency), and the idea of consciousness. What I found as I was learning about the law of divine oneness and I was reading this book, was that there was a lot of overlap. There were even direct mentions of the law of divine oneness and its principles in the book. What I found encouraging was that the concept of the law of divine oneness was in the same book talking about M-fields (magnetic fields), which is a widely accepted, hard science, no nonsense concept. The major theme of the book was raising the consciousness of the universe. The book talks about, in great detail, how individuals with a high degree or level of consciousness counterbalance thousands of individuals with low level consciousness. It stated that most individuals only raise their level of consciousness by a measure of 5 in a lifetime, and that by reading that book alone, an individual could gain roughly 35 points of consciousness. The reason I bring this up, is to share yet again, another concrete example of the law of divine oneness alongside concepts in physics and science. I also share this because by reading the book, by focusing on your contribution to society and community, you can raise the collective consciousness and energy of the universe. What actions and thoughts are you contributing to the collective? Are your actions, thoughts, and words adding to and improving the collective, or are they draining it? What can you do to raise your consciousness and your level of good energy to be a force for good in the world?

Another interesting synchronicity was a Rich Roll podcast episode I selected the other night, his guest Sahil Bloom (who I admire and knew of before his appearance on the podcast) shared his deeply personal experience in life from childhood through adulthood. Most notably and relevant to the law of divine oneness, is how he discovered that his purpose in life was to create positive ripple effects in people's lives. I found it especially interesting that it came to me at this precise time. While maybe you have identified a different purpose for yourself, I still really love the idea and approach of creating these positive ripples–and I think it is something we can all incorporate. He uses it as a filter to select his actions, which I think could be a very practical and tactical tool we can all apply. So. How can you create positive ripples in your community? In your home? With your family? Your co-workers? Your friends? People at your local coffee shop? At work, I like to start one particular team meeting off, where we go around the table and share a personal and a professional win. Another great suggestion which from Sonja Lyubomirsky was to perform 3 acts of kindness for others and yourself each week; you can pair this down to 1 for others and 1 for self if 3 seems too intense, but you get the idea.

You guys, I hope you enjoyed this episode and feel better having listened to it; I would love to hear if and how you all are out deploying the concept of positive ripples in the world or doing acts of kindness in your communities–if you are feeling extra bold, leave a comment or shoot me a note!

It's hard to believe January is coming to an end and that one twelfth of 2025 is over. But my favorite part about endings, are the new beginnings that follow. In February we will step into the law of vibration.

Thank you so much for spending this time with me–I hope this episode and this show continues to give you new things to think about that ultimately help improve your life. The greatest compliment you can give is sharing this show with someone you love. Thank you so much for your support of the show!

Until next time…. Byeeeeee
