Intro:
Hello Everyone! Welcome to The Game of Life Podcast; I am Alexandria Burek and I am your host.
If you are new here, thank you for joining me on this journey, if you have become a regular, welcome back and thank YOU!
Quick update; we are shifting gears here; the plan WAS to do a deep dive each month into one of the laws of the universe for the entire year HOWEVER, this content does not seem to be landing like I hoped. SO I am pivoting for the rest of the year. I will continue to do episodes on the laws of the universe, but less of them, I am thinking one a month. For the remainder to the episodes, we will go back to the Food For Thought segment and deep dive into some incredible books on a WIDE range of topics–and I AM EXCITED about that!
In today’s episode, we will explore the law of vibration; I paired down the content that normally spans four parts into one. So today we will cover the law of vibration itself, its core principles, and find ways we can leverage this in our daily lives.
Before we get into the thick of it, I will kick it off with a VERY quick personal update.
Personal Update:
I am going to bypass updates on my job situation, daytrading, and or dating because things seem to be reorganizing; they seem to be shifting under the surface without any recognizable, tangible results, BUT regardless of the outcomes, I know things are working out for my highest good. I do have a sneaking suspicion that I am straddling two wildly different lives, and the divide continues to widen. I need to go all in. I need to commit. I need to align my actions and my social circle with my “new” life, my next chapter.
As for the STR Project, I did need to re-organize there since I got behind after the events of January and February–I AM psyched to get going on these projects and “celebrate” the visible and tangible accomplishments. As for running, I missed the registration window for both runs I wanted to do. SO I am still going to an 8k and a Half Marathon, just solo. No big group. No race packet. No metal. Just me, on my own path, running my own race–which I think is even cooler. And could not be more fitting.
With that. Let's get into the law of attraction!
The Law of Attraction:
We covered the law of attraction during on episode 36, where we featured Rhonda Byrne’s book, “The Secret” which was ALL about the law of attraction. Last month we did a deep dive on the law of vibration which is at the core and is the foundation for the law of attraction. Why? Because if we are not energetically aligned, we could do everything “right” and never attract what we desire. PSSSST - for the record, my coach and friend are helping me with this precisely.
So what is the law of attraction?
The Law of Attraction exists to explain that like attracts like—the energy you emit, through your thoughts, your emotions, and your beliefs, will attract experiences, people, and circumstances that match that same energy.
SO like we covered in the last segment, your thoughts and feelings shape your reality. Dwelling on fear and lack and negativity will align you perfectly with MORE things to fear, and “lose” and be negative about–BUT if you focus on what is going right, what you have to be thankful for, and all the good things, you will ATTRACT more of those good things. The same is true for ‘doing’--if you are doing things that raise your frequency you are putting yourself in a position to receive, if you do things that lower your frequency, you are blocking your manifestations.
You literally create a positive or negative spiral. The choice is yours.
It's like I said in the last episode, in my personal update,
-Choose your thoughts, actions, and words wisely
-Perspective is everything
-You are choosing your reality based on the words you speak and the thoughts you think
This is not easy. I know this because I am currently working on my next quantum leap. My next big shift. This requires me to be extra aware of the thoughts I am thinking and the words I am speaking, the perspective I am choosing, and ultimately the reality I am creating.
If you are interested in making a change like this, it takes a lot of energy and focus but it is SO worth it.
Start by simply noticing your chosen (reflexive) responses. Or by observing your chosen perspective and get really wild and think about potentially new perspectives that are more aligned with how you actually want to feel.
With that, let’s look at the 6 core principles of the law of attraction:
- Your Thoughts and Emotions Create Reality – given I hit this pretty hard so far, I think I have said all there is to say. Choose your thoughts and emotions wisely.
- Your Focus Determines the Outcome: Whatever you focus on expands. If you continually think about problems, you invite more obstacles. If you focus on opportunities and solutions, you attract success. This is why Ed Mylett always says, don’t spend much time thinking about the problem, decide on your solution and take massive action. If you are focused on your debt, your debt will grow. If you are focused on the opportunities and increased income, you will tune into ways to increase your income and eventually pay off that debt. The key is where you place your attention and focus.
- You Must FEEL as if You Already Have What You Want: The universe doesn’t respond to what you say you want; it responds to how you feel. To attract something into your life, you must vibrate at the same frequency as the desired outcome. This is why the “DO-BE-GET” method we just introduced in episode 63 works so well. You are shifting your frequency by DOING what “that person” would do, therefore you BECOME “the person” who GETS “that thing.”
- The Power of Belief: Beliefs are self-fulfilling prophecies. If you believe you are worthy of success, your actions will align with that belief. If you believe you are unworthy, you will unconsciously sabotage opportunities. I recently experimented with this by “shifting” my perspective about my job. Once I did that, I took more pride in my job and leveled up my skills, my attitude, and my contributions. You need to be mindful of your beliefs and ensure you are not choosing beliefs that keep you stuck and in a low vibrational state.
- Gratitude Magnifies Abundance: Gratitude raises your vibration, making you a magnet for positive experiences. Given I’ve talked a lot about doing Steven Furtick’s Grateful 8 exercise (which I still endorse), I want to bring something new to the table today. One of the greatest life hacks I have learned, and implemented, is being grateful for what you want, but don’t yet have. Practice gratitude before you ACTUALLY have what you desire. This feels weird at first, but it works. If you don’t believe me try it. Be patient. I practiced gratitude for nearly a year before my manifestations became my reality. Trust the process.
- Action Aligns with Attraction: The Law of Attraction isn’t just about visualization and positive thinking—you must also take inspired action toward your goals. When you align your actions with your desires, the universe responds. The really cool thing about this is, when you are FOCUSED on what you are trying to attract, especially if you ask your brain, “How can I…” your brain will magically push you and pull you to things that will ensure YOU DO. You will find your brain is guiding you towards inspired action.
SO now that we know the core principles of the law of attraction, we can layer them in or over four simple daily actions we can take to create the lives we desire.
There are 4 actions we can take to use the law of attraction each and every day:
-Manifesting our Goals
-Shifting our Mindset
-Attracting Positive Relationships
-Cultivating Abundance
Before we go any further, I do want to call out that these days Manifesting gets a bad wrap, at the end of the day, manifesting is simply developing the ability to bring what you envision to life, in the material world. Nothing more, nothing less. I manifested painting my house black. I felt strongly about it, focused on it, I asked “how can I…” and eventually took enough inspired action such that my house is actually painted black now. It is that simple. You can use the law of attraction to manifest your goals by clarifying what you want (painting the house black), visualizing it daily (every time I came home I envisioned how I would feel and how it would look once my house was black), and using affirmations (in this example I didn’t use a formal affirmation, but I did practice feeling grateful my house was painted black). And there you have it. The tough thing is the repetitions (I did this nearly every time I came up to my house by car or by foot). The tough thing is clarifying what you actually want and sticking to it (I knew I wanted to paint my house black). You need to be clear with yourself and the universe about what you want, visualize it daily, and then affirm or be grateful about it before it happens or you get it, and you will manifest it. Simple as that.
You can use the law of attraction to shift your mindset. This was what I had to do two years ago. I spent time each morning on my walk, reframing the negative beliefs I held about myself; I slowly shifted from negative to positive over the course of a year; it is quite incredible how FAST I was able to transform my whole life. I was committed to rebuilding my neural pathways and making new connections that would later translate into an entirely different experience. I share this with the hope that it inspires you. That you can look at me and see living proof that you really can change your mindset and your reality. You can do it, it is simple, it takes repetitions, but you CAN do it if you try; just think, what if it works, what if it ACTUALLY works, what else have you go to do or lose by trying?
The law of attraction will help you develop new and positive relationships. Energetically, you will be changing, and new people will come into your life. Others will fade away, and that is ok. In order to be available for new relationships, you will need to let go of toxic attachments and old relationships so you can create space for MORE good.
The law of attraction teaches us how to cultivate abundance through focus and giving. Focus on what you have, focus on the opportunities surrounding you, focus on your financial growth; avoid dwelling on “not having enough money.” Give generously. My good friend works with and coaches some of the most successful people in North America and at one of the growth conferences she was at, she had to donate a large amount of money. She said she was instructed to choose an amount that felt uncomfortable and since then, that money had come back in multiples. She is also an example of attracting positive relationships; she is so successful and so wise and so brave and I am LUCKY to call her my friend, and we are so lucky to help each other think through things in a way that is SO positive it is literally invaluable.
The law of attraction can be used in so many ways to help us all bring our goals to life, change our mindset, attract new relationships, and cultivate abundance. Think about how amazing it would be if you made your life just a little better each day by deploying these ideas into your life. Think about the impact that would have on the collective.
It would easy to hear these recommendations and find fault with them, because as with anything worth doing, applying the law of attraction will undoubtedly present challenges along the way. But overcoming the challenges makes it so much more sweet. There are 5 challenges you will want to look out for and work through or around.
First there are your negative thought patterns. Obviously whatever thought and behavior patterns you currently have, have existed for years. It will take time and energy to work through this. It is going to feel unfamiliar; but like my calculus professor used to say, anything you do that is new will be tough, but you just need to keep doing it, until it's not tough anymore. Same with breaking patterns. At first it will be tough. Then one day it will be your new norm. Start small and build momentum. You aren’t going to erase decades of programming after one reframe. If you get stuck, get a coach or talk to someone you trust.
Next, let go of your attachment to outcomes. Set intentions, not expectations. By fixating on when and how your desires will manifest, you are actually creating resistance and delaying your manifestations. Trust the Universe and God to deliver in the perfect way at the time that is perfect for you.
Consistency is key. I believe this is a fundamental truth about everything in life. Nothing manifests out of inconsistency. Think about it, the likelihood of someone getting a job after they submit one application is actually laughable. The likelihood of someone becoming a millionaire after investing one time is unlikely. You need to be consistent with your visualizations, and your gratitude, and your affirmations. These things build a momentum, but you need to keep the momentum going.
Similar to negative thought patterns, you also need to go deep and address those feelings buried under the surface. Everyone has a thermostat, a paradigm, a glass ceiling for themselves based on years of programming. Journal. Work with a therapist or a life coach. Meditate. Pray. Whatever it is you think you need to do to remove and eliminate your limiting beliefs, do it. From someone who has been there and done that, using all of the above will get you there fastest most effectively.
This last one is a tough one. A big challenge some people face is taking the wrong kind of action; taking action out of desperation versus alignment. This might be one of the challenges I am unaware of. It can be easy to take desperate action if you are in need of what you are manifesting, but that desperation often pushes away what you want. Instead, trust your intuition. Take action that feels right rather than forced. Do the things that will raise your vibration so you are able to receive.
Changing is always hard. It's part of the process. But it can be fun. The way I look at it is, anyone who is inquisitive and curious and explorative is going to have a much more colorful and exciting life than someone who knows it all, has no questions, and has no desire to see new things. If you are someone who is curious and explorative, this next section is for you. These curated questions will help you explore your mind, find ways to manifest what you want, and navigate the challenges you will face on the path to your best life.
If you don’t know where to begin, try just noticing your dominant thoughts and determining if they are aligned with what you want for yourself. Try to see where you struggle most to attract what it is you want. Is it money? Is it love? Is it freedom? Is it health? Dig deep and be honest with yourself about your limiting beliefs and figure out which ones are blocking your manifestations. One of my favorite women, Marley Rose, she has AMAZING tools for clearing your blocks easily. You can download her app or just listen to her podcast and see if you can replicate what she said to do. I’ve spent hours clearing blocks and it has been PROFOUND for me.
If you want to build a couple of habits that are likely to raise and maintain your vibration, so you can attract what you desire, consider incorporating some gratitude practice and doing visualizations or scripting. Find some affirmations you can massage into the fabric of your mind and your soul.
Before we close out on the law of attraction, I want to leave you with 5 things that will help you as you embrace and use the law of vibration in your life. I am going to give you these quickly without the fluff. So. Here we go.
- Your Inner World Shapes Your Outer World: Whatever dominates your mind will eventually materialize in your external reality. When you change and improve your inner world your external world HAS TO follow-its the law.
- You Are Always Manifesting—Consciously or Unconsciously: The universe responds to the energy you emit, whether or not you’re aware of it. If you don’t take control of your thoughts, you may attract things you don’t want. Remember. The universe does not understand “No” for example. If you are worried about an illness, you will manifest what you don’t want if you say, “I don’t want to die of cancer” if you think that enough times and you visualize it, you will likely get cancer. INSTEAD you would want to say something like, “I am so grateful my immune system is working so well, and that I am in perfect health, and that I live a long life.”
- Gratitude Is a Superpower: By appreciating what you have, you shift your energy to abundance, making it easier to attract more. Be SO GRATEFUL for what you do have and for what you desire; watch it magnetize to you.
- Doubt Repels, Faith Attracts: If you constantly doubt whether something will happen, you block it from manifesting. Marley Rose gives a GREAT example, When you order something from Amazon, you don’t call amazon every hour until its delivered to check in on your package. You order it. You trust that its coming. And you proceed with your life.
- Inspired Action is Key: The universe meets you halfway. Taking aligned action helps bring your desires to life. You cannot simply visualize and script and meditate; you must put yourself in situations to receive what you desire.
