TOP 10% GLOBALLY RANKED PODCAST!! Do you ever find yourself wondering, "What am I even doing with my life?" Do you put yourself in "time-out" just to catch a breath? Do you ever feel like you belong to everyone else—your husband, your kids, the chores, the commitments—and somewhere along the way, you stopped belonging to yourself?
Well Mama, you are in the right place.
Faithful Mama Rising is a faith-filled podcast for overwhelmed moms who are tired of living in survival mode and ready to rise into the woman they're called to be.
This is where you'll start feeling seen, supported, and grounded again… where you'll reconnect with who you actually are and start leading your life on your own terms.
I'm Mitch—girl mama of two, wife to my hunk-o-hunk of lovin' husband, Andrew, and a former Mom-ster who once lived knee-deep in overwhelm, resentment, and loneliness. For years, I believed the right checklist or perfect schedule would magically fix everything. But no amount of planning stopped the Mom-ster from returning—and it definitely didn't help me feel supported or seen.
Through real conversations, faith, and learning to actually lead myself, I learned how to release the pressure of the endless to-do list, ask for help, reconnect with myself, and—get this—be playful again. My lips literally remembered how to smile.
And now? I'm here to walk this journey with you.
If you're ready to stop chasing quick fixes that only last three days, reclaim the woman God created you to be, and rise out of feeling stuck and into a life of grace, support, and purpose—these are the conversations for you.
So fold the laundry—or don't (honestly, it's clean, that's what matters)—and let's get our change on.

24- Why You Can't Relax Anymore—The Hidden Mindset That's Stealing Rest, Joy, and Even Your Time with God
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
If you're an overwhelmed mom struggling with burnout, marriage disconnection, and feeling like you can't ever truly relax, this episode is for you.
Have you ever noticed that even your "rest" has started feeling like another thing to accomplish?
Maybe your vacation has to become the perfect memory. Your day off has to be productive. Your Bible study has to end with a breakthrough. Even ten free minutes somehow feel like they should turn into the greatest self-care moment ever.
What if the thing keeping you from feeling rested isn't your schedule?
What if it's the pressure you've been putting on every moment to become something more than it already is?
In this episode, I share a realization that completely sucker punched me after reading about a philosopher who said we've forgotten how to simply rest. As I started paying attention, I realized I wasn't just doing this with vacations and books—I was even doing it with my time with God.
Somewhere along the way, I had stopped coming to simply spend time with Him and started coming to see what I could get out of spending time with Him.
That one realization led me down a path that touched every area of my life—my mindset, my marriage, my faith, and even the way I showed up for my girls.
If you've been living in survival mode, carrying the mental load, feeling emotionally exhausted, or wondering why you still don't feel refreshed even after taking a break, I think this conversation is going to encourage you.
In this episode we talk about:
- Why overwhelmed moms often struggle to truly rest—even when they finally have the chance.
- The hidden mindset that puts pressure on every moment to produce something.
- Why your faith can start feeling dry when you approach God looking for a breakthrough instead of simply being with Him.
- How this same mindset quietly affects your marriage, your family, and your ability to be present.
- The surprising lesson I learned from vacations, chickens, family pictures... and even spy novels.
- David's simple prayer from Psalm 119 and how it changed the way I'm approaching my time with God.
- Why learning to receive instead of constantly producing might be the mindset shift you've been needing all along.
