UNEARTH
"Unearth" is a metaphor for our journey into the mystical realm of spirituality. Much like how crystals are extracted from beneath the earth, emerging from their hidden places to reveal their beauty and power. We will be digging deep and discussing the mystical world of crystals and the exploration of spirituality. Uncovering what has been buried or forgotten, bringing to light the secrets and lessons that our ancestors have left for us to transform our daily lives.
"Unearth" is more than just a podcast; it's a community of like-minded souls seeking to live authentically and vibrantly, just like the divine gods and goddesses we are. Welcome to your new spiritual haven. "Unearth"

Welcome, queens and goddesses, to Episode 4 of Unearth: Meditation: Discovering Calm in Chaos. I’m your host, Alex, guiding you into the serene world of meditation to help you find tranquillity amidst life’s chaos.
For those new to meditation, I’ll start with a gentle introduction, explaining its benefits for the mind and body. As life’s hustle and bustle grows heavier, finding quiet spaces through meditation helps me feel balanced and inspired.
Meditation is about complete presence and awareness. It trains our focus and helps us detach from our thoughts and emotions, allowing us to become the silent observer. We cultivate a focused and clear mind by choosing which thoughts to keep and which to release. This practice, known as neuroplasticity, rewires our brain for positive thinking.
Remember, meditation isn’t about having a blank mind. Thoughts will arise; acknowledge them and gently push them aside. There’s no right or wrong way—just be present and aware.
To fully experience this meditation, remove all distractions and connect deeply with this moment. Prepare your body by releasing tension and taking long, intentional breaths. Feel the support of the earth, let go of stress, and notice your feelings without judgment.
Join me in this meditative journey. As we breathe deeply together, embrace the present moment, feel the lightness in your body, and recharge your spirit. As we conclude, bring your awareness back to your surroundings and open your eyes, feeling grateful for this peaceful time.
Thank you for being here, for sharing this moment, and for being part of this beautiful journey. May your path be filled with love, light, and tranquillity.
With love always,
Alex
Welcome queens and goddesses
It’s so wonderful to be able to do this with my family, to connect on a different level, to chat and to guide.
For total meditation beginners I’m going to do a little introduction to meditation before the actual guided meditation just so we know what it’s about and how it helps us physically and mentally.
As I get older, I become more aware, I’m realising the importance of quiet time. I can feel myself being affected so much more by the hustle and bustle of life, it can be very draining, quite heavy.
I'm noticing if I don't take time away, I feel lost, blocked and unbalanced.
It's in these quiet spaces during meditation, that my mind has time to settle, my heart feels more at ease and my inspiration and creativity return.
Meditation for me is complete presence and awareness. Meditation allows us to train our focus. It separates us from our thoughts to allow us to be the observer, because we are not our thoughts. We are not our emotions. We are not our bodies. We are the awareness, the observers.
Once we detach ourselves from our thoughts and emotions, then we can choose which ones we want to repeat and which ones we want to replace.
Once our mind is trained, we can be more focused and more clear headed. It helps us to live in the present and to activate the law of attraction and bring to ourselves all that we desire. without it you'll be running on an automatic subconscious program that keeps you repeating the same thoughts and behaviours, day in day out. Control your mind. Or it will control you.
It is to be aware of our thoughts, but not attached to them become silent watcher without judgement.
This conscious choosing of where to place your mind is called neuroplacicity, it's a rewiring of the brain, eventually the new thoughts happen naturally. It will take some time and discipline but it will become a lifelong journey, which is so worth it.
When it comes to meditation, it’s impossible to have a blank mind. Thoughts will always arise, no matter how strong minded you are. So what I like to do during meditation, is to imagine the thought as a cloud beware of that cloud when it pops up and push it to one side, allowing it to float away. It doesn’t matter if that happens one time or 10 times as long as you are aware of them and push them away and come back your focus and to the present moment. There is no right or wrong way to meditate.
Meditation is a service to yourself, and to others.
Imagine yourself chatting with a friend and them telling you about their good day or bad day you are focused on what they are saying and you are fully listening. You may have lots going on in the background, banging, babies crying, (LITTLE CLOUD) but you don’t take your eyes off of your friend you are in that moment you are aware of what’s going on around you, but you remain present and focussed to that conversation with your friend. Your eyes don’t leave your friend. and at the end of that conversation, your friend will look at you and say thank you for listening. Thank you for being present. Thank you for making me feel heard. I appreciate you. And that is meditation and being present. That’s when you know you’ve smashed it. Congratulations all of that meditation was worth it now.
Are we all on the same page of understanding? How are we all doing right now?
To have the best meditation experience I’d like to request one thing from you, and that is for you to be fully present. Remove all distractions, put your phone on do not disturb, Close the door, dim the lights and be connected. Can you guys do that for the me?? Let’s see a yes in the chat 🙌🏽
Let’s prepare our bodies for meditation.
I invite you to drop into your body and release all of the tension held in every part. Let’s start with the feet, releasing any tension we hold in them, softening them and removing any stiffness. Moving into the legs and hips, keeping that relaxation flowing up to the back, chest and shoulders. And finally the head and face. Fully Relaxing your eyelids, unclenching your jaw and being fully at rest. If you feel that you can be even 10% more comfortable in the position that you’re in then adjust yourself.
If you haven’t already then please close your eyes. We’re going to start with the breath. Allowing your mind and your breath to become one.
Taking some long deep breaths in through your nose and then releasing out through your nose.
It’s important to breathe with intention to develop a true connection with yourself, with nature and your body. Taking long breaths from the root to the Crown chakra. So let’s take some deep breaths together. inhale….exhale…. Release the day and be present in this moment. There is nothing that you need to do, there is nowhere else you need to be.
Bring all of your energy and awareness to this moment right now.
Allow yourself to wind down.
Allow your body to feel held and supported by the earth. Feel heavy.
Feel that pull to the ground.
keep your breathing slow and steady.
Breathe effortlessly.
Notice how you are feeling, and notice without judgment.
Breathe in and breathe out. Start to feel your energy lifting and stress and tension melting away.
It’s ok to be still for yourself, if you’re feeling overwhelmed, breathe in and then release. Let it go.
If wanders that’s ok, notice it and bring your attention back to your focus and to the meditation.
Feel the lightness flow through your body.
Take a moment to be grateful to yourself for taking this time to create this moment.
Feel the release, feel recharged feel light.
As we come to our final moments of mediation let’s bring our awareness to the room we are in and our surroundings. And open your eyes.
