Every artist runs into technical challenges—but what do we actually do with them?

From mastering fundamentals to fixing mistakes and pushing past limitations, the technical side of art can either hold you back… or level you up. In this video, I talk about the real challenges artists face and how those moments shape your growth, your style, and your confidence.

Because it’s not just about talent—it’s about how you respond when things don’t work.

For all the people out there that follow my videos, I want to thank everybody for following me, subscribing to my system, and um making this joyful because your questions and your input and your feedback and all your comments are very appreciated, I can tell you. Um, this particular video it has two parts to it. Number one, I'm actually a pretty normal person and uh I'm not always super high energized. It in many of my videos, I bring so much uh intense energy to the table. It's just because I'm so engaged in the discussion and topic and quality of the content and and delivering an important message. But I'm just a normal person and a local artist. That's that's really who I am. And uh I certainly have uh an extensive technical and software and sales background as well. So I bring so many different elements to the world of business and the world of art. Uh, but the next point is, you know, uh as good as you can be, there's always a challenge. And what I mean by that is working with so many different systems, so much different software, so much different technology, so much social media. Um I'm a podcaster, and for sales and business, I have a podcast named David Bornans and Unscripted. I'm not promoting that, I'm just saying I have a podcast. So I've been doing podcasts for many, many years for sales and business. And so I um joined the Apple Connect program for podcasters, and um I see that my podcast shows are on that uh system. So I said, okay, wait a minute, I'll create a new show under the Apple platform, Apple Podcasts, because it came out with a bunch of stuff, and they said, you know, we're going to a format that you'll be able to add audio and video to the podcast. So that all makes sense. So I see my shows on the Apple Podcast and I create a brand new show. And so I add a brand new show to my podcast Connect. And you would think, as sharp as I am, you would think, you know, I'm not going to run into too many technical issues. And sure enough, I create the show, everything works out great. I produce the show or or submit the show, and it goes live. And then I need to add episodes. So if you know about a show, you have a show called whatever, and then you need episodes, episode one, episode two, episode three. And I go to add the episodes, and I can't add the audio and video feeds to it. And it's driving me insane for two hours straight. And you would think somebody that has this expertise and talent could figure this out. But now I got to do research. Now I got to stop the whole process and do research on how to get my audio files to lock into place. Now they say, well, wait a minute. It probably won't work if you've got an RSS feed. An RSS feed is a podcast feed. If anybody doesn't know that, if you have a platform like Spotify, if you have a platform like BuzzFeed or BuzzSprout or whatever it's called, and you create a show, it creates an RSS feed. Uh and so I'm trying to go uh create a brand new show on the Apple platform with no RSS feed, and I can't see a way to do it. There's no button that allows me to add the audio files or the video files. There's only the button that says add the RSS feed. So I've got to do some research and some, but that just goes to show us creators and content creators and makers and designers and editors and uh video editing, audio editing, and all this other stuff, and we're podcasters and we're artists and we're creators and stuff like that, but but it never ends. You know, if you start a social media system, you've got to learn all the tricks to that system. If you start uh uh a subscription to another software platform, you've got to learn all the the techniques and stuff like that. So it just goes to show you there's always challenges. Not not one of us in the group is ever, you know, something is is extremely easy to do. It always takes hours and hours to get something just perfectly right. And that's what it is, it's all about that. So I just thought I'd share that message with you. And um, I'll have to do research on on what I'm missing with this Apple system. And it by the way, I love Apple. I I have all Apple products and and stuff like that. So I'm not picking on Apple. I love Apple to death because I love my Mac and I love my iPads, and I love my Mac mini, and I love everything about Apple. So I'm not picking on Apple, and I love the platform because it does it shows all my other podcast shows right on the platform. So there's no issue there. It's just that I'm missing something, some button, some twist, some something to this logic. And it could be that maybe because I have a Spotify feed to the Apple system already, it may be maybe conflicting with trying to create a brand new podcast show without a feed coming into it. So it could be my fault, it could be you know something else. Just something to talk about and ponder with. That's it.
