A Reflection for When We Think We Made a Mistake
Sometimes we think the problems we face are because someone has done something wrong.
But the strong wind Peter noticed and feared happened after he got out of the boat, not because he got out of the boat. (from Matthew 14:30)
His courage may have exposed him to the storm in a different way, but everyone in the boat faced the same wind.
Peter’s courage allowed him to experience something both amazing and terrifying.
And in the end, Jesus accompanied both Peter and those who remained in the boat safely to dry ground.
