Acting Up
Do you want to know the secret to becoming a successful actor? So do we.
Acting Up is a podcast made for struggling actors, by struggling actors (heavy emphasis on the struggling). Your hosts Megan Alderson and Jordan Skidmore delve into the harsh realities of breaking into a ruthless creative industry when you're working class, working a suffocating day job and disgustingly desperate. If you are sick of success stories and looking for something real, relatable and - in our opinion - quite funny? Welcome to Acting Up!

The Goose and the Stab Wound Trousers
This week Megan and Jordan are joined by the fabulous Honey Holder! Fresh into the industry having studied performance design and film costume, Honey is here to shed light onto what goes into what goes on you.
Honey discusses her work as a prop supervisor, prop etiquette, designing theatre vs film, battling budgets, the grey area that is hats, costuming student films, stop-motion, where are all the women? and of course, being an ex theatre kid.
Talks also turn to puppetry: the creation and theatre of puppets and creating consciousness and breath. Using our show of the year, Spirited Away, as the prime example.
Tune in for the tragic tale of the stab wound trousers and the birth of a Goose.
Tangents include Khloe Kardashians magic hair, DRILL GIRLS, my character is a vegetarian libra, Bridgerton and no is one is safe from life drawing.
