A WORLD GONE MAD
Swalwell: Truth & Consequences, If Allegations Are True? Goodbye!
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Something just hit the political world, and it’s not small. It’s the kind of story that doesn’t sit quietly and doesn’t go away. It lands hard, it spreads fast, and it immediately starts forcing people to pick a side whether they want to or not.
The name at the center of this bombshell story is Eric Swalwell. And what’s coming out right now is already triggering a chain reaction across politics, media, and power circles.
Support is shifting. Pressure is building. And the question isn’t whether this is serious. The question is how serious this is going to get.
Because we’ve seen this before. Not the exact situation, but the pattern. Allegations surface. The spotlight turns on.
And suddenly, everything a person built over years or decades is sitting on the edge of a cliff. Sometimes it holds. Sometimes it doesn’t.
And when it doesn’t, it doesn’t fade out slowly. It collapses. Support disappears. Allies step back. Statements start getting released.
And within days, sometimes hours, the conversation shifts from defense to survival to resignation.
So now the question becomes simple, and it’s a question that cuts both ways. If what’s being alleged about Eric Swalwell is true, then the outcome is already written.
There’s a precedent for this, and it’s not forgiving. He is done. That is the standard, and that is how this ends if the allegations hold.
But if it’s not true, then what the hell is going on here, and why now? If there is no truth behind it, then what are the Republicans doing? That’s the question.

SPEAKER_00I'm Jeff Fallon Wolf, and this is A World Gone Mad. And this episode's going to be short, and it's only going to cover one story, but it's a big story that I need to share with you. For those that have seen it, you know what it's about when you hear me say it. For those of you who haven't, please pay attention. Here we go. The huge bombshell news in the political world, Eric Swalwell. Four women have come forward describing alleged sexual misconduct by Congressman Eric Swalwell, running for governor of California, including a former staffer who claims he raped her. Now the accusations range from inappropriate behavior to serious allegations of assault, placing one of the most visible Democratic figures in a national spotlight into the national spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Now, as these claims begin to surface publicly and more details emerge, they are raising immediate questions about accountability, credibility, and what this could mean for Swalwell's political future. Now, a lot of people spoke up about this, and boy, the commentary was fast and harsh. Adam Schiff withdrew his support for Swalwell, like immediately. Katie Porter from Arizona, similar feeling. Also billionaire fundraiser for Democrats Tom Stayer, also angry and pulling back. Others making comments about Swalwell and the alleged rape allegations. Jimmy Gomez, he stepped down from the campaign role on Swalwell's, you know, campaign trying to be a California governor and called on Swalwell himself to drop out. Ruben Gallego from Arizona withdrew his endorsement immediately. Ian Calderon pulled support, and Swalwell asked him to suspend his campaign. Now, major organizations, unions such as the California Teachers Association, suspended endorsement for Swalwell immediately. Called the allegations disturbing and unacceptable. Other political pressure is being applied to Swalwell with calls for him to step down. Matt Mahon said he believed the accuser and told Swalwell to drop out. Tony Thurman called Swalwell for him to exit the race. The party leadership reaction? Rusty Hicks called the allegations deeply disturbing, did not explicitly demand Swalwell's resignation. Now let me bring something up that you know from the past. Let me remind you of something parallel. And please pay attention. Look what happened to Al Franken. Remember? The former U.S. Senator from Minnesota, who started as a comedian and writer on Saturday Night Live, built a second career in politics. In 2017, allegations surfaced, including a radio host accusing Franken of a forced kiss and a widely seen photo from a U.S. tour showing inappropriate behavior. Basically, that Franken brushed her breast in the photo. After that, more women came forward with claims of unwanted touching by Franken during public interactions. Nothing criminal was charged, but it was politically damaging. Let me be very clear. I'm not justifying what Al Franken did. He shouldn't have done it. But what he was accused of was nowhere near as egregious as what's being talked about now with allegations against Eric Swalwell. This all happened during the height of the Me Too movement, also. Pressure built fast, especially from Franken's own party. Several Democratic senators called for Franken to resign, and they didn't hesitate. Support for Franken collapsed fast, pressure came immediately, and Senator Franken was gone in weeks. Franken apologized, said he remembered some events differently, and asked for an ethics investigation. But the pressure didn't stop on him, and Senator Franken resigned before any investigation was completed. His career was effectively over. Franken lost his position, political power overnight. His career in elected office effectively ended. An ethics investigation was never completed. No formal ruling on the allegations. Some Democrats later said they may have pushed Franken out too quickly. Now I'm getting to the reason why I'm talking about this. Franken himself later expressed regret, but he never returned to political office. The bottom line, Wolfbeck, support collapsed quickly. Political pressure made Senator Franken's position untenable. Now let me be perfectly clear about where I stand on Eric Swalwell, because I'm not playing games with this. If these rape allegations and inappropriate behavior from Swalwell are all true, bye-bye. Good luck. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. You're done. Your career is over, and you just blew up everything you spent decades building. There's no coming back from that. Not in this climate, not with a precedent that's already been set. And don't even try to pretend otherwise. If Al Franken had to resign for what he did, then Swalwell absolutely has to resign for this if it's true. No question, no delay, no political maneuvering, you're gone. And depending on what's proven, you might just not be looking at the end of your political career, Eric. You could be looking at real consequences beyond that. That's the standard now. That's the line that's been drawn. And you, Eric Swalwell, don't get to be the exception. But let's flip it, because this matters just as much. Hear me carefully. If these allegations against Swalwell are not true, then what the hell is the timing here? Seriously? You expect people not to notice what's going on around this? There's a full-scale war with Iran, people dying, the Epstein files, remember those? The Epstein files still unresolved. The fallout from the firing of Pam Bondi and Christine no more known. All of this happening at the same time. And suddenly this drops right in the middle of it. So what are we looking at? Is this real accountability or is this political timing? Is this truth coming out? Or is this something being weaponized when it's most useful? Because those are two very different things, and people are not stupid. They see patterns, they see timing, and they start asking questions. And here's where I land on all of it. If it's true, Eric Swalwell is finished, and Eric Swalwell deserves to be finished politically. If it's not, then somebody just tried to make out, or rather, take out a political career at the exact moment it would cause maximum damage. Either way, this isn't small. This isn't noise, and this isn't something that just gets brushed aside. This is the kind of moment that defines whether we actually have standards or whether we just pretend to have them, depending on who's in the crosshairs. And to end on the old phrase, there's something rotten in Denmark. Or, at the very least, it's still the Republican Party playing the same bullshit games, the same political timing, the same selective outrage when it suits them. And people are watching. And I'll end with this and repeat the following that I said last episode. To those of you that have been contributing to our GoFundMe, the link is in the bio. Please take a look and at the end of the description in this episode. To those of you that did contribute, thank you. Bless you. If anybody else would like to help us, I said the link in the bio in the description. Check it out. Please read it. It'll give you the details. If you can't contribute to the GoFundMe, no worries, no obligation, but please share the link with everyone. Your share may come across eyes that will contribute and could make a huge difference for me and my family. To all the intelligent people in this country who care, stand tall, keep the faith. I'm Jeff Allen Wolf. This is a World Gone Mad. I'll be back Monday. Until then, I urge you, the Wolfpack, remain skeptical, question everything. Please don't lose hope. And most of all, stay alert.
