Psalm 46 - God is our refuge and strength

In these turbulent days, with war raging in Israel everyone is searching for a stable anchor, a support to hold onto.
Yohanan suggests that this very support, this refuge, is clearly seen in Psalm 46. God Himself is our refuge, better than any bomb shelter or safe room.
How is this truth expressed? How does the psalmist emphasize this again and again? And what can one truly hold onto when everything is shaking?
