Speaker 2:

Hello, Ashley.

Speaker 3:

And this is the latest episode of Orlando unplugged podcast. Welcome back friends. This one's a bit of a a back to back episode because our last episode came out really late Yeah. Really late.

Speaker 2:

We had well, we took a dark week we took a nice little, like, mental health week off. And then we, like, decided to try to post up another one, and we random technical difficulties. So it's just been it's been rough, but you know what? We are reusing a toes to getting it out, getting it done, getting it taken care of.

Speaker 3:

And by coast, she means mimos. This is at eleven o'clock in the morning when we both have to work later.

Speaker 2:

We're not talking about

Speaker 3:

it. Clink. I had to make noise. I was like it's gonna be awkwardly silent otherwise.

Speaker 2:

Well, here is swallowing.

Speaker 3:

I know. Well, guys, we have a fun episode plan for you today. Our friends, Zac and Julia, were supposed to be joining us. Unfortunately, we had to throw this together quickly. Yes. Zach's not feeling well this morning, and Julia still sleep because she has to work later. Akward pause. Sorry. We paused and then I was like, wait, what am I supposed to say again? Because I don't have the iPad with me today, so I'm having to bounce between our recording software and, like, show notes and everything. Yeah. But, yeah, guys, don't forget, we need your help as a small business. We don't have a lot of funds for marketing, though we do occasionally when we have the funds make boost post and advertisements on Facebook and Instagram. So if you guys would please do us a big solid help by sharing our episodes, you guys can follow us on Facebook. Just look up Orlando unplugged podcasts.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 3:

I don't know because we never post on that one.

Speaker 2:

I actually tweet us a lot on there.

Speaker 3:

Do you?

Speaker 2:

I really do.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I didn't know that. Oh, but yeah. So that would be

Speaker 2:

website as well is w w dot arlinda unplug podcast dot com. And that links all of our social media platforms. It links every single thing on there, all of our ways to listen to us, Apple podcasts, modify YouTube, everything and anything. It is right on that.

Speaker 3:

It is. It is. Speaking of which, update for YouTube podcast. We have no update. No. So hopefully, we've got some stuff coming up in August of this year. We're gonna be traveling and doing some stuff. But hopefully afterwards, we will have an opportunity to hopefully have a nice recording studio that is not this living room. Where people are just walking in and out. So who knows what the future holds for that?

Speaker 2:

Please manifest this for us, guys. Manifest

Speaker 3:

Fabulous.

Speaker 2:

I need it.

Speaker 3:

But any who, we have a fun, jam packed double universal update episode for you guys.

Speaker 2:

It'd be filled with knowledge.

Speaker 3:

It is a lot of knowledge. So you guys are gonna get to laugh at us because we're gonna be reading from scripts, which you all have know. If you've been listening to us, you know, we suck at doing.

Speaker 2:

But we got this today, guys.

Speaker 3:

If you are new and you are here just because you saw the universal tag in the headline and everything, Welcome to the most unprofessional and chaotic

Speaker 2:

Two hours of your life.

Speaker 3:

Enthusiast. I don't think this episode will be two hours. It's it's a lot less information. Let's go around. Plus in two hours, we'll have to leave for work. So without further ado, we're gonna go ahead and jump into our pre showed topic.

Speaker 2:

Oh, pre show topic music. Gosh, I've missed you. Well, this week, Universal Studios has finally announced the opening of the newly theme land that is replacing the Woody Woodpecker's kid zone. What do you look at what do you This is too early in the morning for this. Now, Woody Woodpecker's coaster closed January fifteenth, and it decided they decided to close it to make way for a newly imagined land called DreamWorks land.

Speaker 3:

Of twenty twenty three.

Speaker 2:

Of twenty.

Speaker 3:

So over a year ago Yeah. Not, like, three months ago.

Speaker 2:

Did I say twenty twenty four?

Speaker 3:

No. You just said January fifteenth.

Speaker 2:

Oh, my bad. My my apologies, guys. The mimosas are getting to my brain this morning. But you're gonna get ready to play in a colorful, imaginative, new land at Universal, where you get to meet Shrek and splashing a swamp, you get to scream with laughter on the new trolley coaster And you had to learn kung fu moves with Po from kung fu panda.

Speaker 3:

Troller coaster.

Speaker 2:

What did I call it?

Speaker 3:

A trolley coaster. Climb slide and splash through Shrek's playground and Shrek's swamp with four little oggers. Play in Panda Village at Post Kung Fu Training Camp and create a melody at King Harold's swap symphony or let your little ones wonder in Poppy's playground.

Speaker 2:

You get to hop on the caterpillar counter bus on the fame on this family friendly coaster. You'll join poppy, tiny, and the twins, satin and Chanel.

Speaker 3:

Sure.

Speaker 2:

Okay. As you try to make an escape from spooky spiders.

Speaker 3:

Spooky spiders. That was very treasuries sounding and I didn't like that.

Speaker 2:

There you can bear me there. I hate you.

Speaker 3:

So the troller coaster is the original coaster that was in Woody Woodpecker's when it closed. I think it move did it physically move locations? Like, did they tear it all down and then move it, like, fifteen or twenty feet over and then

Speaker 2:

put it

Speaker 3:

back together?

Speaker 2:

I think so, but I don't know for sure.

Speaker 3:

I don't know. I I think they did, but I'm not sure.

Speaker 2:

But I know they definitely tore it down because it was not there anymore. And this isn't like an it's not like reimagined. This is brand new. Like, the coasters brand new.

Speaker 3:

I was writing this no. No. No. It's the exact same coaster. They just it's a new paint job and new theming. Same coaster, though.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. But I think they I thought they, like, fixed a couple things on it too, though.

Speaker 3:

I mean, I'm sure they did, but They had to.

Speaker 2:

The white pickers was real

Speaker 3:

So one of the key highlights about this and something that everyone is super excited for is, as you know, Shrek four d experience was replaced by villain Khan, minion blast. And

Speaker 2:

I missed Shrek four d. It was so good.

Speaker 3:

So Shrek then moved over

Speaker 2:

He screwed it up.

Speaker 3:

To yeah. He screwed it over, and then they were evicted yet again.

Speaker 2:

Bye bye.

Speaker 3:

Bye. Minions. More men Yet again. So Shrek and Fiona and Donkey have been on a bit of a hiatus, but I think the most amazing thing about this and the thing that everyone's most excited for is they have fully recreated Shrek's cottage in the swamp. Yes. And it's right in front of the entrance to ET, like directly in front of it so you get to see the Shrek swap house or cottage but is what people have been calling in on social media. Cottage but because

Speaker 2:

it's like a booty.

Speaker 3:

You can see it over the the construction fence. But you're gonna have a full meet and great yet again with donkey, fionna, and Shrek. I'm interested to see what this might mean for donkey. Because he's always been in a wall like the doors open up and you see donkey there. So he has to be. I'm excited for that. So who knows? But a couple of the things that Universal has confirmed, we know that there's still more to come that they haven't talked about yet, is swap snacks

Speaker 2:

Mhmm.

Speaker 3:

Which will be obviously a Shrek interpretation of some snacks and goodies that you can

Speaker 2:

get. Do you think that stop manifesting that we're gonna get some sort of earwax, candle, something.

Speaker 3:

Maybe. Do you remember Or the, like, the little bugs that he eats

Speaker 2:

get out of here. It's like

Speaker 3:

a jelly snack or something.

Speaker 2:

Out of here.

Speaker 3:

That'd be really fun.

Speaker 2:

I need an earwax candle, like gummy popsicle ice cream, something.

Speaker 3:

I'm here for it. Yeah. Another truck to serve it to me after

Speaker 2:

he pulls it out of his ears.

Speaker 3:

He will go. Another option for food that you guys have is going to be trolls treats.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

So I'm excited for that one. I've heard a lot of good things. Nothing we can confirm though because it's and official from Universal, but if the rumors are true, some of that stuff sounds really cool and

Speaker 2:

really good. Very excited for it. I'm also really excited for the merch that's coming this way. So we're getting a high five, high delays. And I've heard this is kind of a mixture of everything. All of all of the different dream work link, like, the different dream works that are gonna be inside this. So I think that's gonna be really neat. We're also going to get Mauwena feline Fiesta. So this is gonna be a pros and cons concept. From pros and cons. To

Speaker 3:

And I was reading this up online. It says that there's interactive screens and then ways to interact with it as well. So I I don't know if it's, like, You get to play with cats or what's happening? You could.

Speaker 2:

Do you think Bruce is gonna come home with a brother or sister?

Speaker 3:

I don't know. Maybe.

Speaker 2:

But Bruce, do you want a brother or sister? I don't think so.

Speaker 3:

Nope. But I'm interested to see how that works. Another really fun thing is there we're gonna get a new entertainment offering with this DreamWorks' Imagination Celebration, which I'm told will be a live action stage show. With some of our favorite DreamWorks characters. And we will see the return of more character meet and greets with the Dreamark's character zone.

Speaker 2:

I'm really excited. I hope that means that we're gonna get the Trollback, that poops fart. That fart's clutter.

Speaker 3:

Clitter. Isn't that one?

Speaker 2:

Isn't that tiny?

Speaker 3:

No. Isn't it? Poppy. Poppy. Poppy. Which puppy gets her own playground?

Speaker 2:

I know. But I need her to, like, fart some glitter on people because that, like, literally made my entire entire day.

Speaker 3:

I've never seen that movie.

Speaker 2:

I don't need to see the movie. It's so cool to me that she literally just goes, Gutter.

Speaker 3:

God bless. So we know that there are still more things to come because we know that there are more DreamWorks characters in and around. So I'm excited for it. I'm hoping that we get the ramen from kung fu panda. I don't know if we're going to. They haven't said anything about it. So if do, that one is gonna be a big surprise. But we will find out all of this starting June fourteenth of twenty twenty four, which is just a little over a month and I believe ten days away.

Speaker 2:

That's so I'm so excited. But don't worry. Stay tuned with all of us we will keep you guys updated as much as we know and go from there.

Speaker 3:

Are you ready?

Speaker 2:

I'm beyond ready. Let's do it. Alright.

Speaker 3:

At Super Nintendo World, you'll experience a new way to play from challenging Bowser on Mario Kart Bowser's challenge to venturing through donkey kong country and so much more. This was the first land confirmed at the new park, but it's been the third to reveal any details. Now this will be the third super Nintendo world that Universal has brought to life with Universal Japan being the first and Universal Studios Hollywood being the second. You'll enter into an Nintendo World through the iconic green pipe. While inside, you'll take escalators up and be met by sweeping views on the mezzanine of what universal is calling the most themed and interactive land that they have ever created.

Speaker 2:

Now, you need to use your power up bands are one of the coolest experiences in Newland is of this new land.

Speaker 3:

You got this. Use the power of music.

Speaker 2:

One of the coolest experience of this new land is guests will have the opportunity to boost their fun with power of bands. Now throughout this land, you will you could test your quickness, skills, and timing with a variety of interactive challenges. If you're wearing a power up band, you can collect your digital key each time you win one of the interactive challenges throughout the land. Gathering enough of these keys and you'll be able to lock the Bowser's junior shadow showdown. And guests will be able track their score and see where they rank in the games with other guests on the park.

Speaker 3:

So some of the challenges that you'll see throughout this land is gonna be you're gonna have to bear with us on this one. Goomba crazy crank where you turn a crank to make the ground spin fast enough to make a Goomba fall backwards.

Speaker 2:

You also have the piranha plant plant nap mishap. And you're gonna run back and forth tapping multiple iron alarm clocks to put huge piranha plants back to sleep.

Speaker 3:

And then there is the cupa trupa pao or punch. Is that how you say that pao or how tell Universal spelled it, capital p o w, lowercase star. Where? You hit the pow block with perfect timing to send a Koopa shell. Up the pipe and knock over the Coupa Coupa. That sounds like an Amazon. Coupa Coupa shells are gonna fight.

Speaker 2:

I hate us too, guys. Don't worry. Bam. Wait. Bam.

Speaker 3:

Bam. It's Baboom. Baboom. Baboom. Baboom.

Speaker 2:

Baboom. Kumba? Kaboom. No. Kaboom. Room. Where you are gonna gather fragments of a key from around the room to assemble them or the giant boom goes kaboom. Wow. Super nintended. That is it for making a sound

Speaker 3:

That's the little the little bombs that walk around. The little the bottle of bombs. Yep. And then the last puzzle that you have is going to be the thromp panel panic. So the question to this one is, are you fast enough? You will try to flip every tile on the wall to be the same color to win the digital key. Now, so that's a total of one, two, three, four, five. So you have a total of five games. So you have the ability to fell two of those and still win a key for the Bowser junior Shadow. Show down.

Speaker 2:

Yes. Because if you collect at least three keys of your band, you'll get a chance to confront Bauer junior to recover the stolen golden mushroom in a final show shadow showdown. Now they recommend that these games are about kids for ages five and up, so literally everybody can play.

Speaker 3:

Mhmm. And then a couple of things to notate with this is bands are sold separately and valid park admission is required to participate in this. And the current universal website shows eight different band designs, and some of them include Mario Luigi, Princess Peach, and donkey kong, and Didi kong, and there's

Speaker 2:

Which one did you get?

Speaker 3:

Which one am I gonna get? Yeah. I don't have one yet. Sorry.

Speaker 2:

Which one

Speaker 3:

am I

Speaker 2:

gonna get?

Speaker 3:

I don't know. Like, I part of me is, like, Mario Kart would or Mario would be cool, but I am more of a donkey kong fan than a Mario fan, so I would probably get donkey kong or did it come. Also, I love that his name is Didicom.

Speaker 2:

So, yeah, I'd probably get either Mario and Luigi because I definitely grew up playing those games. More than I did, Donkey Kong.

Speaker 3:

You wanna talk about one of the newest and funnest attractions that everyone is looking forward to?

Speaker 2:

Absolutely. So Mario Kart bouser challenge. Here we go. On Mario Kart, Bowser champion challenge, you'll put on your special goggles and steer through your iconic courses alongside Mario, Luigi, and princess peach. In this interactive ride, you collect digital coins and throw shelves to try to defeat Team Bowser and win the Golden Cup. With multiple outcomes, it's a different experience each time you ride, which I think is so cool.

Speaker 3:

So I didn't learn about this until I watch the actual video that Universal Creative released with this. I knew that it was some form of augmented reality, but I didn't realize because you're in a right vehicle with other guests. So I was like, well, you can't turn left and right and do all these things separately. It's the right vehicle. But so this right type is a three d four d motion based simulation with augmented reality goggles. So this means that while you're sitting in the car, You can see all of the scenery in front of you. You can see everything that is in real life.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

But what you see on your goggles is augmented reality based solely on you as an individual person.

Speaker 2:

Correct.

Speaker 3:

So you are gonna have your own race and I'm gonna have my own race alongside you. So our outcomes can be different and every time you ride this attraction, it's gonna be different because you are actually playing Mario Kart.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. But live. Now the net requirement for this is a minimum of forty two inches and a supervising companion needs to be under forty eight inches in order to be right with those people.

Speaker 3:

And since Ashley never does this because she hates Europeans, obviously, that is a hundred and seven centimeters tall to ride. And a hundred and twenty two centimeters. Between a hundred and seven and a hundred and twenty two, you are required to have that super sizing

Speaker 2:

don't hate your opinions for the record. I just you guys seem to get on the metric system. Thank you.

Speaker 3:

Now, this next ride is an interesting one believe it's an omnimover attraction, so similar to that of a haunted mansion Mhmm. Walt Disney World. You take a ride with Yoshi and you search for three glowing eggs in the enchanting family friendly attraction. On Yoshi's adventure, you will weave your way through the iconic mushroom kingdom landscapes, encountering many familiar characters and spotting hidden colored eggs along your journey. So again, this is yet again another interactive ride that you're not just riding, but you're actually participating in this pardon this really corny joke, Easter egg hunt. Because you're literally on the hunt

Speaker 2:

for eggs. Gosh. Where's our iPad when we need it?

Speaker 3:

Charging because I'm horrible. So for this attraction, the minimum height requirement is thirty six inches or ninety two centimeters and guess between ninety two excuse me, guess between thirty six inches and forty eight inches do require a supervising companion or ninety two centimeters to a hundred and twenty two centimeters. You do have to have that supervising companion and this is a kit friendly family style attraction.

Speaker 2:

Yes, it is. This is what I'm most excited for. As we all know, I'm a big foodie, massive one. So this I cannot wait for him. Tod's still cafe. You are going to fuel up where you can watch chef toad, cook up some of his favorite recipes and see colorful scenes. Of the mushroom kingdom through the windows. Now you're gonna enjoy tasting creations prepared daily, which include soups, salads, sandwiches, and as well as delicious entrees and delectable desserts. This is gonna be a quick service. The menu details have yet to come out yet, but The big thing that I saw on here that you saw as well was that this was massively highlighted as healthy options like, bold in black ready to go Mhmm. For you as soon as you could type in on this. So I'm very excited for this. Like, I cannot wait. I'm hoping that we're gonna get, like, some sort of, like, toadstool, toad sandwich, something.

Speaker 3:

Now I know with this being the third Super Nintendo world. We've seen two other toadstool cafes around the world. I will say the one in Japan, to me, looks a superb. Oh. Because the Japanese always do an amazing job when it comes to food, and their culture definitely pours into that. Their tolled still cafes have some amazing food. We have a friend right now, Jordan, who is over in Hollywood at Universal Studios. I'm sure actually, I think we got photos yesterday of him at Ted Stolt Cafe with me. I'm sure we'll get more.

Speaker 2:

I know that his biggest thing is that he's a really big fan of their sandwiches that are there. This is, like, I wanna say his second time going this. Excuse me.

Speaker 3:

Ma'am, is that coming up the wrong way?

Speaker 2:

Yeah. It is. It is the second time going to this two toed stools, and he gets the same sandwich every single time. It's that good.

Speaker 3:

I'm yeah. I'm I'm really excited for this one. Now,

Speaker 2:

very excited.

Speaker 3:

One of the great things about this land, and personally, my absolute favorite about this land, is that there's actually a second smaller land located within this one. So we're getting like a bonus land here.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

So guests will be able to enter into donkey kong which is a completely separate landscape from Super Nintendo World according to Susan Cummings, who is the assistant director and executive producer of Universal Creative. In this land.

Speaker 2:

What a title, by the way?

Speaker 3:

I know right.

Speaker 2:

What's the name? I Praise. That's awesome.

Speaker 3:

And you should see the video. She's got this cute little mushroom coffee cup set beside her, and I was like, I was like, yes, a

Speaker 2:

bit. Slay.

Speaker 3:

Slay. Girlly pop. She's girly pop.

Speaker 2:

Girl bawson in. Yes. I'm here for

Speaker 3:

So the thing that I'm most excited about about this. I'm excited about all of it, but the most excited is Universal has created a brand new state of the art mind that will make guests feel like they are literally jumping off of their rails on a mine car.

Speaker 2:

I'm excited. Let's go.

Speaker 3:

It's called minecart madness.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

Tell us about it.

Speaker 2:

Do you do you wanna talk about

Speaker 3:

it? Sure. I'll do I'll do I'll do the thing, and then you can do you can do the right stuff. Okay. So It's up to you to help donkey kong protect the golden banana

Speaker 2:

on mine cart madness. I just want to paint this picture for everybody right now that you were, like, hunched over, all excited about to eat your microphone, literally getting ready to talk to us about this.

Speaker 3:

Yes. Also, as a doctor who fan, I also find there's not a hidden meaning in here, but I'm finding a hidden meaning in here because doctor who, bananas, if you know, you know. So you enter the majestic Golden Temple and you board your mind car and you take off on this thrilling family coaster, speeding through the mind, you'll appear to jump across gaps in the track. And perform other eye popping features from the donkey kong country video game.

Speaker 2:

How cool does that sound?

Speaker 3:

This ride literally looks like the most amazing thing. And the thing that I like about it is I don't know the ride manufacturer. I don't know if it's an in house universal creation or what, but it looks as though the mine carts only sit for people at a time. Mhmm. So it's gonna be I imagine several mini blocks. So there's gonna be several cars. Mine cars rolling at the same time. So it's like a I don't know. But it looks really cool and you get shot out of a can a barrel just like you do in the video game. It's gonna be so much fun.

Speaker 2:

Oh my goodness. If we ever lose us, then we know where to find him, guys. Now this ride is going to be a very thorough ride, obviously. And the height requirement is gonna be a minimum of thirty inches. And, yes, from a European friends, it's ninety two centimeters.

Speaker 3:

Good job.

Speaker 2:

Now, you do require a supervising companion required for children under the under the height requirement of forty eight centimeters, and they must be accompanied for

Speaker 3:

Forty eight inches.

Speaker 2:

Sorry. Forty eight inches must be accompanied by a supervising companion.

Speaker 3:

A hundred and twenty two centimeters.

Speaker 2:

So proud of you.

Speaker 3:

I didn't put that one in the note for you, so I figured I'd

Speaker 2:

be disappointed. Now those handheld infants, unfortunately, are not permitted. However, I'm assuming that Universal is gonna do their parents swap than they do for all other rides. That would that's all I got.

Speaker 3:

Yeah. That's I I said this one was gonna be a quick episode. Universal have kept a lot in in wraps. We know, you know, based on work permits and things that we've seen in the past in our previous episode that rumored, there will be more things to do, more dining options, stuff like that. But nothing that Universal has confirmed. And like I said, this late in the game, wanna ensure that we're not giving you guys any kind of misinformation. So if

Speaker 2:

So can we talk about one thing, though? Have you driven past it yet? When was left semi driven in Pacific?

Speaker 3:

So I only drive across the back end when I'm going to and from your work. So I am only seeing he Leo's grand.

Speaker 2:

Have you that's what I wanna talk about. Have you seen it lately? What was the last time you saw it? Last week when I took it off Did they have the Golden Dome yet?

Speaker 3:

I don't know.

Speaker 2:

They put the gold I I drove past it yesterday, and they have the Golden Dome up. And it is beautiful.

Speaker 3:

You know what makes me the saddest about that? Mhmm. The only thing that they've confirmed about Helios grand is its name. That is it. I think that's

Speaker 2:

good though. They need to keep some sort of it like, you know what it's giving me? It's giving me like Cinderella's Caso vibes. Like, It's gonna be

Speaker 3:

Oh, it's giving me soup

Speaker 2:

It's gonna be very quiet. It's gonna be like hush-hush. I bet you you can stay in that golden ball or there's I I'm envisioning that there's either a restaurant inside that Golden Ball or that that's like the grandest room is in the

Speaker 3:

I have heard and this is the only speculation that I'll say, and I'm not confirming or denying anything. This is just what I've heard on the Internet. I've heard that the top floor of that resort is the amenities level. So that is where the bar is. And I think there was some leaked leaked pictures and stuff back when Tara Luna and Stella Nova were announced that showed the bar being in the dome. Oh. But again, we're not gonna know that until universal officially. No. No.

Speaker 2:

If that's the case, Okay. Let's let's work down this path real quick. If Universal decides that that's the case here and they have this golden this if you if you live in Orlando and you are able to drive past epic. I would do so. So then you can see this golden I wanna say golden ball, but it's it's like a cylinder that that dome. Drive past it. It's very impressive to look at even in their pre construction era that it is right now. It is so very impressive. Okay. So you're staying at this host this resort. It's beautiful. It's grand. And you go upstairs to have a cocktail. And then the fireworks go off or a water show or a drone show or whatever

Speaker 3:

star dust. Star dust tracers.

Speaker 2:

Star dust racers or whatever it is. That's what you get to see at night.

Speaker 3:

Oh. It'd be gorgeous.

Speaker 2:

Ugh. Can you imagine? Like I say, my universal feels when they had the water show that studios had Like, I would get in my fields. It's the same way you get, like, after watching at

Speaker 3:

this time. Which which cause coming back, a brand new water show this summer in June, I think, Yes. I think it can't wait because Fourteen or fifty.

Speaker 2:

I, like, get tears in my eyes at an end of night show.

Speaker 3:

And a new Hogwarts show.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I know I saw that. I'm very much excited for that. But, like, I am one of those people that gets like, I tear up. I get very emotional. I'm like, I wrote the movies and I hung out with these people. Can you imagine what people are gonna be like? I'm gonna be a babbling brook of just emotions

Speaker 3:

sitting up there. This kind of goes in into play I'm actually glad you touched on this because this is something that it means a lot to me when it comes to hospitality. Yes. So, like, when we go to Disney, don't watch the fireworks show or usually run into roller coasters and rides because the lines are short during that time. But when that grand music plays and, you know, this is all music that are underscores for movies

Speaker 2:

that we were up with.

Speaker 3:

Yes. And in those moments, even though I'm rushing to a ride or something, I am a lot more self aware of what's happening around me.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

And I see those family units huddled together on the side of the sidewalk. And they're I know. And, you know, they're watching and you see the smiles on their faces and you see the excitement. And that's when it it clicks with me. And then I realized that for a good amount of these families, this is

Speaker 2:

a vacation of a once in a lifetime.

Speaker 3:

It's a vacation of once in a lifetime. It may be the final vacation with a terminally ill family member. All of these peoples are making core memories. That are going to last them a lifetime. I think And then it reminds me exactly why I work in this industry and my ability.

Speaker 2:

And I was just gonna say that literally the reason why we do this. Like, I think all of us decided that this is the place we wanted to grow up and live because at one point, that did it for us. I mean, I remember going to Disney World. I'm going to I I I didn't grow up with Universal. I grew up with Disney. So when I when we went to there, when we would go to the park, and we would finish the day watching well, at that time, it was wishes. And we're watching wishes. And we had popcorn fingers and chukka ice cream faces and sitting on top of dad's shoulders or, you know, chilling in the stroller and that was how we ended the night. So as a kid, that probably so much joy. And now as an adult, they do the same like, it does the same thing, but it's a different joy now because you get to play a factor in those in other people's choice. And I think that's why we all do what we do and why we love it so much. What a what a rant we just went on I'm kinda here for it though.

Speaker 3:

I mean, it's a fun rat. You gotta love it. It's like

Speaker 2:

But I I can't wait to to experience a whole new land in a whole new world and a whole new park with Universal because I I got to I got to see Universal grow when I got to go as an adult. So my Mhmm. My love for universal is a different kind of love. It's not one of that I grew up with. It's not a culty love. It's a I'm a brand new, you know, love to that park.

Speaker 3:

So Oh my god. We're a uni adults.

Speaker 2:

We are uni adults. I'm a Disney child but a uni adult. And I I cannot wait. Like, I am will buy my wand and go and play in Harry Potter's Newland and go pick your arse at the Mario Kart, and I cannot wait. Like and I I'm going to close my eyes and be very terrified during their Halloween. Section. The monsters.

Speaker 3:

You'd be alright.

Speaker 2:

I'm not excited for that. But you know what I am excited for? What? Is all the food? I'm going to be so fat. Mhmm. Mhmm. Because I'm gonna be like, hi here, eat this, eat this, eat this,

Speaker 3:

Yep. I actually the other day, I saw some photos online of from outside the park looking in of Monster's Universe.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

And I saw the big windmill.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

And it looks really really cool. I'm I'm pretty sure. I think that's gonna be an eating establishment. It's not been confirmed yet, but I'm super excited for that. It's gonna look like a lot of fun. But one thing that we wanted to talk about or discuss or mention is for more information on universal studios, epic universe, Halloween hornets, and any and all things universal There is another really amazing podcast out there that I found a while back, and we absolutely love. And that is the discover universal podcast.

Speaker 2:

Ten out of ten.

Speaker 3:

It is this. The official Universal podcast recorded and I just found this out the other day when I was at Universal with your brother, it is recorded live inside the park in what is it? Hollywood? Is it that Hollywood? Yeah. If you go across the street from the board and start spectacular, you will see the brown derby shop, which is closed. And then a what looks to be like just storefront and then Schwab's Pharmacy. Between the Brown Derby and Schwab's Pharmacy, if you look in the windows, you will actually see the recording studios for discover universal?

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

So I didn't know that. That's so now my goal is to figure out when they're recording. So I can, like, press my face up against the window and be, like, Oh my god.

Speaker 2:

Can you plug our podcast? Like, we just plug yours?

Speaker 3:

Yeah. That's not gonna happen. Maybe they should just oh my god. They should hire us. And then we can, like, record live from epic universe when it opens.

Speaker 2:

We can

Speaker 3:

be, like, the spokespeople. Like, you know that movie. What is that movie? The cup song, the the pitch perfect.

Speaker 2:

Oh my god.

Speaker 3:

I know the two the two narrators from the competition. That can be us inside epic universe. When it opens, how fun would that be?

Speaker 2:

Can you imagine that would be epic?

Speaker 3:

It would be epic. It would be so epic.

Speaker 2:

Don't worry, guys. I hate this too.

Speaker 3:

Alright. So unfortunately, Universal did not give us any epic fast facts. With this announcement, which is so sad. I was totally looking forward to some epic fast facts.

Speaker 2:

I was really looking forward to it.

Speaker 3:

I have an epic fast fact. I'll throw one in there. I'll create one.

Speaker 2:

Lay it on us.

Speaker 3:

So Yoshi's Adventure

Speaker 2:

Uh-huh.

Speaker 3:

Has been seen the vaccine photos of the ride vehicles, and there is a specific ride vehicle for guests that cannot transfer out of a wheelchair so they will be able to roll on and have a companion with them so they can ride.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm here for it. Love it.

Speaker 3:

I was like, are you gonna fill this dead spot?

Speaker 2:

Inclusivity. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

It's great. And then yeah.

Speaker 2:

That's it.

Speaker 3:

So that's that is all we got.

Speaker 2:

What a short haul up is so damn proud of us. I know. But join us next podcast because we will be finishing our book because

Speaker 3:

Oh, you're putting you're you're putting that on me to do that.

Speaker 2:

As a goal.

Speaker 3:

I'm working seven days away. I know.

Speaker 2:

But we're gonna get it done. We're gonna tap into it. And we're gonna get it taken care of.

Speaker 3:

Yeah. And then we are interested in doing some future different topics as the future progresses. And as time goes on, Hopefully, Zac and Julia can join us for the two remaining lands that universal, epic universe has to confirm and we'll have them back. If you guys are interested, let us know. Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. We've got another I'm glad you said that I didn't request off work for that.

Speaker 2:

Yes. Drunk brother will be happening again. I wanna say this is what? Is this fourteen or fifteen?

Speaker 3:

This one is. Fifteen, I think. Fifteen? Fourteen or fifteen. But it is fourth of July theme to be the weekend after fourth of July.

Speaker 2:

Fourteen. Yes. I am very excited. It is going to be super fun. I cannot wait to cover it. I cannot wait to get a manifesting second place. So I just wanna beat my third.

Speaker 3:

I'm manifesting top five.

Speaker 2:

Look at you.

Speaker 3:

Poor top three.

Speaker 2:

Look at you. Listen, he just doesn't wanna be kicked out the first round guys. That's it. But True. Or they know Plug will be covering all of that, so you'll get some juicy details on that. And I think the goal I want to try to see if we can do a little bit of some prerecording while we're there. So with our key little mini mics, interview some of our guests, so we can throw that into Oh, that
