In this episode, I share how I complicated my life....and now I am simplifying it.
I just um it's Sunday and I'm cleaning up straightening up. It's supposed to be my relaxing day, but tomorrow is Memorial Day, and then at the end of the week it's my birthday, so of course I have that day off. So I am moving about on today, and then tomorrow I'll relax all day. Today tomorrow will be my day of solitude and silence. So um well, I do have to meet with my well no, I might I think I'm eating meeting with my editor today, but anyway, this evening. But anyway, so I um my daughter sent me something on social media, I opened it up, and then when I scrolled up, excuse me, my son's uh drumming upstairs and and um when so when I put you know I was scrolling up a little bit before I continue getting things done around the house, and this old school looks like somebody opened up a record shop and one of the old school jams, it's not over.
SPEAKER_00It's not over between you and me. It's not over. I don't want to be free.
SPEAKER_01What has been joined by anyway? So this sister and you know, all these older heads are in there. She's talking about the g the days of the garage, and she's dancing and having a good time. Such a joy. And I thought about it, you know, the days where we used to party, and before the shootout started happening, and people would just dance at the garage, they had water and like a fountain, and people just drank from the fountain, and you know, we partied there all night, got up and then into the morning, and then we went out for breakfast. And I found myself saying out loud, that was before life got so complicated. How did life get so complicated? And in a previous episode, I mentioned why I share, but what it occurred to me is the reason why I share is because I really do hope. And when I hit the road and do my speaking engagements, what I want for us younger people, what I want for us older people, is to not complicate your life, leave room, leave room, think about before you have sex and bring children, multiple children into the world, think about who you are. The mommy toolbox. Reflect on who you are, what your needs are. Are you in a position to take good care of who you are? Have you self-realized? Do you know who you are? Are your finances in order? Is your home in order? Are your relationships in order? Are you educated about what it looks like to be a healthy, wholesome parent? What it takes to bring healthy children into the world? Have you done the work? Do you have money? Do you have money? Because that is the fastest way to complicate your life. Getting involved with someone that you hardly know, who hardly knows you. Getting involved with someone who doesn't respect you. Not even understanding what self-respect looks like, and not understanding, not realizing that if you get involved with someone who doesn't love and respect you, you have just demonstrated a lack of self-love and self-respect. So the reason why I share is because I had the fortitude by the grace to survive my lack of knowing. I've complicated my life and I am just now peeling the onions back. I'm just now in a position to financially take my win my my uh windfalls and do something good with it. I've always made decent money, I've had, I've sold my properties and I've made decent money, and I had nobody, not even me, to tell me what to do with it, how to invest it. I even had a love who had been a millionaire more than once, and he didn't tell me what to do with it. He told me nothing, gave me no financial advice. Turns out he didn't even have it for himself. So that's why I share. Because I want my children, my grandson, my grandchildren, future grandchildren, and I want all of you to create a life that's simple enough because we already see that the world is complicated, complicated, and filled with oppressors and oppression. So you get to control the situation that you're in by controlling yourself, and that is by keeping your life simple, keep your home simple, clean, and orderly, so that you can have more time to invest in your creativity so that you can make more money. Perhaps hopefully, prayerfully, doing what you love and what you're gifted to do, what your gift is to the world, which I firmly believe, like Joel Olstein or or TJ TJ, what is the name? T D.
unknownT.
SPEAKER_01D. Jake said that. Joel Olstein said, Whatever follows those two words, I am, follows you. I believe in both of those. And even if you don't believe in them or believe in their philosophies wholeheartedly, are we to believe in everybody's philosophies wholeheartedly? We can take what they give us. That makes sense, that resonates with your soul, which that those two statements resonate with my soul, and I live by them. But I want you to have a simple life where you can have people at your house on a Friday night just because and just party like this sister in this video is just dancing and experiencing joy, reminiscing on the past, the days where we just life was simple. It's okay to have a life that is so good and so easy, so simple and not less complicated. So I share because I complicated my life by those I chose to procreate with. I'm going after my dreams, I'm checking these things off the list. I am experiencing abundance in every way you can think of. I've blocked out the noise, I've distanced myself from all ambiguity, negative energy. And that's why on a Sunday I can have peace of mind. I can take my time and just float through a beautiful home that I've curated for myself and my family. Keep your life, decomplicate your life, declutter your life. Go through the drawers, go through the closets, go through the cabinets, and do it seasonally because somehow in this capitalistic society we collect things. So twice a year, spring and summer, fall and winter. Make sure if you're if you have if you're uh you own your home, although you we don't really own the home until the home is paid off, but if you have a mortgage and you're responsible for your washer and dryer and heating units, at least once a year, get those things checked out, at least twice a year, spring and summer, fall and winter. Get those things, get the the gutters and the and the vents cleaned, get air purifiers and water purifiers in your home. But keep your life simple and then declutter anybody that has negative energy towards you, weird energy towards you, passive-aggressive energy towards you, unkind energy. They've said unkind things about you. When you show up at a place, they're like, Why is she here? Or they tell you don't dress up too much, because what for whatever reason, for them to say that, that means your energy makes them uncomfortable because why else, why would they even care? So declutter your space so that you have mental and physical space to fulfill, go after, and experience the highest and truest expression of yourself. Love on you, take a day out the week out of these seven days to love on you. Just be read a book, expand your mind, drink tea, drink tea every day, juice for the week, make food for the week. Show yourself self-love and find moments throughout each day to put on some music and just dance. Just dance like that lady in the video.
SPEAKER_00It's not over between you and me.
SPEAKER_01Life was simple in those days. They can be simple today as well. It's up to me, it's up to you. Peace and love to be continued. Ciao for now.
