Create Good Stories
We all have a life story, and these stories are created daily, monthly, yearly, and over a lifetime. This podcast explores how we can intentionally shape, construct, and ultimately create good life stories.
Each episode begins with Tal and his brothers, Noah and Eli, sharing stories from their upbringing. After their (sometimes lively) banter, Tal conducts in-depth interviews. Season 1 focuses on a diverse group of dads and the unique ways they connect with their children. The conversations in season 1 are inspired by Tal’s book, Dad Mode: 25 Ways to Connect with Your Children.

#37 Rilke Teaches Us to Love Life's Questions
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this short episode, Tal reflects on one of Rainer Maria Rilke's most enduring passages from Letters to a Young Poet. Rather than rushing to resolve every uncertainty, Rilke invites us to be patient, to love the questions we carry, and to trust that some answers can only be discovered through the experience of living. Tal explores how embracing life's unanswered questions—with curiosity, courage, and openness—can lead to greater peace, perspective, and hope as we gradually grow into the answers we seek.
The episode centers on this timeless passage from Letters to a Young Poet:
"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer."
