Public Service, Philanthropy, Leadership: Eric Gertler
Eric Gertler is the Executive Chairman & CEO of U.S. News & World Report. He previously served as Commissioner, President & CEO-designate of Empire State Development, New York’s economic development agency. Eric is a trustee of the Zuckerman Family Foundation, overseeing its family office, and sits on the boards of Harvard Kennedy School, the Technion, Tel Aviv University, and the Weizmann Institute. He is also a Managing Partner of Ulysses Ventures, trustee of Memorial Sloan Kettering, Chairman of the American-Israel Friendship League, and a member of YPO and the Council on Foreign Relations. A graduate of Brown University, Eric holds degrees from the Sorbonne, Sciences Po, and American University, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review, as well as an honorary doctorate from Tel Aviv University.
