I was looking at my walnut and I was like, what the fuck is wrong with my wallet? It's not it's a uh it's a pride flag. Jimmy Puffett flag.
SPEAKER_03So it's a pride flag.
SPEAKER_02I have a flag somewhere. I love Jimmy Puppet.
SPEAKER_03He's dead. What the fuck did Jimmy Puppet do? Like what is he known for? What?
SPEAKER_02Margaritaville.
SPEAKER_03Is it two tickets to paradise? That's a song or something.
SPEAKER_02Two what?
SPEAKER_03Two tickets to paradise or something like that.
SPEAKER_02Fucking Margaritaville, Jimmy Puppet, other things, five o'clock somewhere, all that shit.
SPEAKER_03Other than Margaritaville, right? We all know. Like, I know because I've grown up with it, right? But like, what did he do before that?
SPEAKER_02He was just always a singer. So he was a singer. Mm-hmm. He's got a lot of albums out. Hold on, I gotta. Like country singer or like a like a beach island guy. Not really country, but kind of country, but not reggae.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You know? You know he actually fucking. So when he was famous, he went to Jamaica to go get like fucking food or something. Yeah. One of his planes. And they shot his ass down.
SPEAKER_03Like his plane?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. They fucking like blew it up? They thought he was a drug runner. It's called Jamaica Mistaka. That's the name of the song. Really? Yeah, it's a fucking good song. That's funny. So Steph killed him. I told you how Steph killed him.
SPEAKER_03She was talking about him like the day before or something?
SPEAKER_02So I always wanted to go to Jimmy Buffett concert. Yeah. And then his concerts are awesome because you could just like the uh what do you call it beforehand? The fucking tailgating. It's awesome. Just drinks, I'm assuming. Drinks. People have fucking crazy trucks and everything and vans and all that. So it's crazy. It's like a show to it on its own. And then uh Steph was like, oh, he's gonna be in Boston or something. I'm like, I don't want to go fucking Boston. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Oh.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And then uh I was like, I want to see him in Florida. Well, you better hurry up before he dies. That motherfucker died like two months later. She started the death clock. Within fucking 60 days, he died. Well, first, first he canceled the fucking Boston one or something like that. Oh no. Then he canceled another one, and then he was gone. Yeah. Yeah. That dude's a fucking billionaire.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I'm sure.
SPEAKER_02Stupid cash.
SPEAKER_03I just what is his fucking net worth? I want to know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. He had um the cruise ships I heard were terrible though. They have a cruise ship.
SPEAKER_03But he must have a shit ton of money, or had a shit ton of money. It's gonna be a crazy fucking number.
SPEAKER_02He's got the resorts, he's got fuck, I don't even know everything.
SPEAKER_03That's crazy, huh? Land shark. Margaritaville fucking took off with that.
SPEAKER_02Land shark beer, that's him. Really? Yep. He's got tequila.
SPEAKER_03One billion dollars?
SPEAKER_02Yep. Easy. Easy.
SPEAKER_03And he own he owned twenty well, his name owns twenty-eight percent of Margaritaville.
SPEAKER_02If you go to um Key West, you can see the studio where he first started.
SPEAKER_03He owns eighty-five million dollars in stake in Margaritaville, 35 million is in property and land, fifteen million in private jets and planes, eleven point four million in fine art and five million in cars, and two million dollars in musical instruments.
SPEAKER_02Yep. That's wild.
SPEAKER_03That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Jane fuck him off. Put fortune into a marital trust is benefiting a benefiting widow, Jane Slagzall Slagsval. Then each of their kids got two million. I think if we if if me and my partner if we had kids and I was worth a billion dollars, I think my kid would get more than two million dollars.
SPEAKER_02They're getting probably more than two million. It's just here's two million. You know what I mean? Without without giving too much for taxes and bullshit. I'm pretty sure the rest of the they probably maybe they got two million cash, but the rest of it is all fucking in houses and fucking business and all that shit. Yeah, they got fucking cash. The fucking resort was nice. It was just uh the pool got a little shady when they fucking opened it up to uh to the not even the locals. I don't know. When they started selling tickets to the pool, I was like, fuck.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I didn't like it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02The water got cloudy. Yeah. Like, fuck that. I complained.
SPEAKER_04Water got cloudy. That's all area.
SPEAKER_02I complained. I was like, yo, they sent me a fucking thing. I was like, oh, everything was good except for fucking, you know, going to the pool.
SPEAKER_03So funny.
SPEAKER_02Just fucking all the locals were there, all shitty. Where was this? It was in Fort Myers Beach.
SPEAKER_03So it was in Florida.
SPEAKER_02But I don't know, yeah, it was in Florida, but I don't know where all the uh outsiders came in from.
SPEAKER_03What are you trying to say for that?
SPEAKER_02Matter of fact, I'm not even going race because they were mixed. I'm going class. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm going to have fucking pools anywhere. Not a bunch of Spanish guys with like white t-shirts. No, you guys were there. You guys were there. And then we had we had uh did you ever see um the vacation white tees, no regertz?
SPEAKER_03They get into the yeah, they get into the water and they're now the shirt is like clear.
SPEAKER_02No regertz was there. Yeah. Those guys. Yeah, the white dudes with the mullets. Yeah, it's everybody.
SPEAKER_03Everybody was there. Ah, I see what you mean. It was ghetto.
SPEAKER_02It was ghetto.
SPEAKER_03It was ghetto.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But it wasn't ghetto ghetto, but it was like, you know what? I'm going to the beach.
SPEAKER_03But I heard that's just what Florida is now.
SPEAKER_02Not all of it. I mean, it's it's like anywhere else. You know, you're gonna get shitholes everywhere.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You gotta go where the money is.
SPEAKER_03I mean, Key West, I'm assuming, is gonna get there eventually. Because people are finding out about it now.
SPEAKER_02Nah, shit's been there for fucking obviously it's been there for fucking ages. But it's been known forever. Key West, always been known. It's just very expensive.
SPEAKER_03I didn't know about Key Western that I fucking met you. I don't know. I also didn't don't like travel anywhere. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You don't go anywhere. That's right. Um, and then we were talking earlier about uh traveling to like Puerto Rico and where else are we saying?
SPEAKER_03Hawaii.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and all that shit. But we were saying um, you know, some parts are good, some parts are bad. Yes. So I was talking to my uh tattooist, and this dude will find all right, so he goes everywhere. He'll go to Dominican Republic, he'll go fucking, he'll go anywhere. He'll sleep in the fucking jungle with some natives, yeah, and like do shrooms or whatever. I don't know, shrooms, but you know, right, and uh he'll meditate and he's just yeah man, just going where I go. Yeah, so that's why whenever I book something with him, he's like, I can't. I don't know where I'm gonna be. I'm in the jungle then. I don't know where I'm gonna be in two months. Yeah, you know what I mean. That's so funny. But uh he had a good point. He says, I was like, ah, you're not scared. He's like, we're in Bridgeport, man.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Doesn't get worse. This was he's like, when I had my art studio here, I was stepping over crackheads and they finally cleaned them out. Yeah, you know what I mean? Right and fix up the building. He's like, anywhere you go is shit. Yeah, you think this is the safest fucking place? Yeah. He's like, you're just used to it and you know the side streets and where to go.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02He's like, that's it. He's like, I'm sure the people of Puerto Rico and Mexico, the older people, aren't scared to live there.
SPEAKER_06Right.
SPEAKER_02They just don't do any dumb shit. Just like here. A lot of people aren't scared to live in Bridgeport, but they're like, just don't do any dumb shit. Yeah. And be careful.
SPEAKER_03That's all. Puerto Rico's different. Puerto Rico's like uh the city is obviously bad, like the major metropolitan city, like up north. Other than that, it's not as people make it's not like what people make it seem. I'm just an outsider gets scared of everything. The big thing is like they run out of fucking electricity all the time because generators go off and they don't have like the funding for it. And if they do have the funding, the US never steps in, and because they're not really a state, the funding that they do get from the gov federal government is like bullshit. Bullshit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, right. It's like donations. Hey, we have extra money. Right. Here's the thing.
SPEAKER_03They only get money when like a fucking hurricane comes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you know, even then, didn't they not get too much money, remember? Was that a few years ago?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but then there's like there's schemes that you know are going on. Because like the majority, and uh everybody thinks that the government in Puerto Rico is corrupt. The issue is the companies that are operating in Puerto Rico that take all the money. Obviously, there's corruption, but there's corruption everywhere in every fucking the US, anywhere.
SPEAKER_02So they all work together and fucking steal shit.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I mean, like if if uh the the what people don't people don't understand is that the the the major owner of um like the electric the electric company like here is Eversource. Yeah in Puerto Rico it's called Luma, but Luma is a Canadian company, right?
SPEAKER_00Eversource should go there.
SPEAKER_03It's a subsidiary of fucking this can Canadian company. Eversource should go there. Yeah, right and make a killing. Yeah, they would.
SPEAKER_02Fucking Jesus. You know, if you were I wonder why I wonder if it would be an investment for somebody like Elon Musk, who's got trillion, he's a trillionaire now because of the fucking stock. If it would be an investment, if it's a me too. If he would say, I'll open up, I'll set up the infrastructure for electricity and I'll run it or whatever, you know, and if you just pay the bill or whatever. I wonder if it would be cost effective. You know what I mean? For him? Yeah, if you'd make money off.
SPEAKER_03Like he's like he's pop, but so he's coming out of pockets where you're gonna say.
SPEAKER_02Right? Yeah. And this is the electric company for everybody. Like everyone's gonna be stable. No, just for uh America. No, Puerto Rico. Oh, okay. Like in Puerto Rico. If uh Luma can't fucking do their job.
SPEAKER_03I mean it's it depends on who's running it, right? Because I like at the end of the day, how many because when hurricanes and stuff happen, I don't know if you know this, but people like um what's it called? Fucking Lyman fly from the US to Puerto Rico. Yeah, and they spend two, three months over there. Like one of my buddies. Fuck him doing shit, yeah. He made 40 grand in one month.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03Doing electrical work, 40 grand in one month. Right? And he was there for three months.
SPEAKER_02That's nice.
SPEAKER_03Uh expenses paid, flight paid, food paid, chilling.
unknownFuck.
SPEAKER_03But then again, you tell this to somebody in Puerto Rico or even somebody here, right? That doesn't make that much money, and you're like, they paid this guy forty fucking grand.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because they're making millions.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. But then again, how much money like that money could have been invested into other stuff, like the actual infrastructure. Yeah. And I would get that point too, but at the same time, you're getting this guy, he's spending time away from his family. He's got his skills to nobody else does at the time, you know?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you got a fucking fly in here? A fly or a fucking ladybug?
SPEAKER_03Oh, I see. It's a fly.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know. Anyway.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but everything's a scam.
SPEAKER_02This is a fucking scam.
SPEAKER_03You know, you you get um why did I just get scammed on? The economy runs on scams. A lot of people don't know this. Like you get you have Calchi, like the fucking whatever the fuck, not a sponsor. The fucking the where they do bets online and shit, right? That's another fucking scam. But the economy, people, you know, citizens that will like film cops that are on like road jobs and they're on their phone. Yeah. Or fucking public, you know, public works workers, or fucking fire firefighters. I've heard of firefighters like getting hassled because they drive the fire truck to the fucking grocery store, right? Yeah. You're wasting a shit ton of diesel or gas or whatever going to the grocery store to get groceries, right? But society runs on some fucking scams, right? Like if if I go on a road job, let's just say, right? And let's say not just me, but anybody. Yeah. That's a police officer, right? And the guy that, you know, we're contracted under is like, hey, we'll give you eight hours. Yeah. But you're only there for fucking two. Let's just say, right? That's money that you're gonna put back into the economy because you are now getting paid an extra $500, let's just say, right? Yeah, that's right. All everything is a fucking scam. Yeah, it's all a scam. Because they're trying to get, you know, their scam in too. Oh, yeah, we're gonna go.
SPEAKER_02That's why everybody's fucking out of control.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02100%. But that's been going on forever and ever and ever. That's how that's how you gotta get by with scams. Everybody's got a scam. Everybody's got a scam. I don't have a scam, though. I wish I did. I really don't. I don't have a fucking scam. I try to think of one and then I get all nervous and I'm gonna get caught. Fuck it. That's right. I don't have any fucking scams. Yeah. What's my scam?
SPEAKER_03You're almost there, so I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I got no fucking scam. If I did, I wouldn't fucking still be on patrol.
SPEAKER_03That's right. Well, I wouldn't say that uh that like like the example that I gave was a scam, but it's but it's more of like, well, let's go. Let's just say Eversource, right? Or some other large fucking company, right? Yeah. Everybody that's on that job site wants to get paid.
SPEAKER_02And they want to get the fuck out of there.
SPEAKER_03And they want to get the fuck out of there. And if they're willing to fucking pay everybody the eight hours for two hours of work, it's the cost of doing business. Right.
SPEAKER_02They're they're not losing money. Nobody's look nobody's losing money. Right. They're just fucking, this is how it goes. Yep. That's it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. But if people in the real world, like I would say the real world, like outside of policing, outside of like government work, outside of like, yeah, like uh, I wouldn't say even blue collar, because policing is kind of blue collar collar, but it's more it's not a tra it's not a trade, really. I don't know, like yeah, we wear blue shirts.
SPEAKER_02But it's I feel like I'm a factory worker.
SPEAKER_03I would say so.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03In a way. But the people outside of that that don't know gu the govern how government works or how infrastructure works, let's just say, right? I think they'd be fucking amazed at how much money gets fucking thrown away. But even or tossed around, you know?
SPEAKER_02From what I was told by uh white-collar people, even in that world, they throw fucking money like around like it's fucking nothing.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I'm sure. But I just mean like Joe Schmo that works at McDonald's. Oh, if you tell him, yeah, I just made a thousand dollars today, what do you what do you fuck do you mean? What how much did you work? I probably worked like two hours at most. About four hours, a thousand bucks. Yeah. That's fucking like their entire week's worth of probably two weeks. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Isn't that insane?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and if you think about us now, let's say we made a thousand dollars today. We were, let's say eight hours, we did our thing. Yeah. Or 700, let's say, yeah. To somebody like DJ Khaled or something. That's pennies. He's like, $1,000. Took you eight hours to get $1,000. Right. He's like, I just fucking spent that on Amazon like two seconds ago.
SPEAKER_03That's how that's how I always see it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's a good comparison, actually.
SPEAKER_02Bought my fucking kid sneakers for a thousand dollars. Yep. Yeah. He's like, I could spend ten thousand dollars a day.
SPEAKER_03That's crazy. How big it fucking jumps, you know.
SPEAKER_02So we are the McDonald's worker of it.
SPEAKER_03100%, dude. Yeah, 100%.
SPEAKER_02Just think about that shit. Yeah. And he's having fun. I'm sure he has his stresses and stuff like that, dealing with all those fucking sharks and fucking.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I'm sure it's like everybody is fucking out.
SPEAKER_02Out to get him and shit. Yeah. I'm sure. But I would think that.
SPEAKER_03He spends $1,000 on shoes, and Jeffrey Epstein goes, $1,000. That's yeah, thousand dollars. That's nothing.
SPEAKER_02What did I spend a thousand dollars on two seconds ago? I think I lost it.
SPEAKER_03A person.
SPEAKER_02I think I bought four kids with a thousand dollars. They could say, what would they spend a thousand dollars on?
SPEAKER_03Like uh Bill Gates, let's just say, right? That motherfucker, you there's nothing you can do to impress him with money at this point.
SPEAKER_02I would say Elon Musk now. So everybody's saying I would say Elon Musk is way above him.
SPEAKER_03So like DJ Khaled to Mark Zuckerberg, and then from Mark Zuckerberg, it would jump to Elon Musk.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So DJ Khaled to Elon Musk is like us to DJ Khaled.
SPEAKER_03I would say less. So you think like a homeless guy, bro? See what let me see what I'm saying. Because think about it. If Mark Zuckerberg is in between DJ Khaled and Elon Musk.
SPEAKER_02We're gonna we're gonna find this out right now.
SPEAKER_03So DJ Khaled's like a homeless guy that we would just pass by in front of 7-Eleven.
SPEAKER_02No, he can't be that bad.
SPEAKER_03Yes, dude. To Elon Musk?
SPEAKER_02Let's see. Well, we'll start at Zuckerberg. You do check uh Zuckerberg. I'm doing Khaled. It's got he's gotta have more than this. No way. This seems like he's fucking broke. Estimated range between 95 million and 100 million? No way. He's got way more than that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but what does he do? He doesn't produce music anymore. He's fucking. I thought he did. He does. What's the last song you heard from him?
SPEAKER_02I follow him on Instagram.
SPEAKER_03Lighter!
SPEAKER_02I don't know what that is. Nope. I don't know what the fuck he does. I don't know. He's got another album coming out.
SPEAKER_03So look, so you just said, let's let's even be generous. Let's just say that he has that 110 million, right? Mark Zuckerberg.
SPEAKER_02That's what it says here.
SPEAKER_03Mark Zuckerberg is 198 billion. So that's a hundred times that. So yeah, he's uh and then and then you have homeless. And then you have Elon Musk who has a trillion, which is a hundred million million.
SPEAKER_02It's a hundred million million. Yes. 100 million million.
SPEAKER_03Yep. Above.
SPEAKER_02He could lose 100 million, not even know.
SPEAKER_03He could lose DJ Khaled and not even know.
SPEAKER_02DJ Khaled could get lost in his money warehouse. Yes. And never find out. Is that insane? I thought Khaled's gotta have more than that.
SPEAKER_03No. You know what?
SPEAKER_02100 million goes that far? Yes. It feels like it's a lot, but not like he's got like a beautiful house, beautiful cars, everything.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but that's all on a loan. You know what I mean? Like they're like us. Like you said, they're us, but like a million times. Yeah. So like he could take out a loan for his house that could be worth 500 million. He just has to pay the 500 million back eventually. So if he's making a year, 100 million, yeah, so that loan would get approved. Yeah. That's how you get Oprah with a fucking billion dollar fucking house, you know?
SPEAKER_02But this dude, he gets I I get so not jealous in the mini way, but I'm like, oh man. He just walks into the AP store, gets a fucking watch.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02They give him fucking coffee cigars.
SPEAKER_03Yep. But that I'm sure that has to be like pre-planned. Oh, of course. You know what I mean? Like, Frank calls up Rolex. After buying 10 Rolexes, he's like, hey, I'm gonna pass by next week with my team. Can you guys just get it? Yeah, I'm coming through, I'll be there. Yeah. You're gonna have the watch. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll have it. We'll have the cigars.
SPEAKER_02I'm sure he's gotta make fucking appointments and shit.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. He can't just walk in and they're like, we have the fucking cigars ready for you already.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, it's definitely yeah, but still it still looks awesome.
SPEAKER_03It is fucking awesome, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I you know I can't fucking complain. I I when I got my watch, I had like champagne, a coffee.
SPEAKER_03So, but did they bring that out for you because you bought it or you brought it with yourself?
SPEAKER_02I popped my own fucking bottle. No, they brought it out. They had their little white glove for the watch. Really? It's definitely a fucking experience.
SPEAKER_03That's awesome, dude. See, every day that I talk to you about this, I want one more and more.
SPEAKER_02See? They're badass. I know. I'm waiting for my next one. I'm waiting for the fucking um the what do you call it? The Bruce Wayne. Bruce Wayne. Oh, yeah. Google it right now. Bruce Wayne. So here's how. What how shit goes for me? Okay.
SPEAKER_03Because you already have one.
SPEAKER_02So that the Bruce Wayne was was popular. Okay. But as soon as I put my name in for it, it becomes stupid popular. Now everybody fucking wants it. I was gonna say, yeah. I'm like, you motherfucker. So now it's gonna take probably about a year and a half. So that watch you could is $12,000. Alright? $12,000 brand new. That's not bad, actually. Not bad, right? So now watch this. So when you go the used prices, $23,000, $24,000. Yeah. That's what's fucking me.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But my guy knows I'm not, you know, I got two watches from him, not selling them. So now I gotta wait for that one.
SPEAKER_03It's actually funny because uh I had to do something court related recently, right? And a guy that I was dealing with briefly meant met with um where I was, had the 1908.
SPEAKER_02But that the one that you wanted, right? Yeah, the blue one. Should have asked him about it.
SPEAKER_03This one. Yeah, but he was like in a hurry to fucking I'm not I wasn't gonna be like fucking grab his fucking. He probably would have loved it. I would have fucking dapped him up and fucking flipped his wrist and be like, let me see that fucking watch real quick.
SPEAKER_02So we I was dealing with a uh a bondsman who had a I don't know if it was real or not, because you don't know if they're clones or not, but it looked looked real and everything. And then the way he said it, I I kind of agreed that you know it was. But anyway, he had a nice fucking Jubilee GMT watch, almost similar to the to the Bruce Wayne. Yeah. And then it had like a pearl dial on it, and I was like, huh, that's a nice watch. I like that one. And then we were probably talking about half for a half hour about watches. Yeah. Just from that one watch. And he said he's got three more, but he buys them on a secondary market, which he goes crazy, except for one of them. He said he finally got brand new.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But he's like, I spent a lot of money on them because I buy him, I want them right away. So you could definitely make uh conversation and make uh connections to these fucking watches.
SPEAKER_03Right. I'm definitely in between the the deep sea, the oyster, uh yellow, and the 1908 with the black leather wrist. Yeah. But the 1908, that's it. I know. That shit's fucking sick.
SPEAKER_02That's it. That's the one I want. I got my name in. We'll find out. Yeah, but Thomas's retirement gift for myself. And that's how I told Steph.
SPEAKER_03That would be nice.
SPEAKER_02So I told Steph, I was like, yo.
SPEAKER_03She should show up to the police department.
SPEAKER_02With my watch. With the watch. And then the watch they gave me, I'm just gonna fucking smash it. I'm gonna smash it with this with this box.
SPEAKER_03It just worked. That's so funny. But look, fucking uh 33k, dude. That's 33? Is that white gold? 336. It's platinum.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Jesus. Dude, the stuff the way they put these watches together is crazy. The diamonds alone, if they look, if somebody that knows what they're doing, a technician or whatever, or some watch guy, and you try to pass off a fake dial with diamonds in them, yeah, he could look and every diamond's gonna be cut perfectly. If he sees one little flaw and it's not set right, he's like, it's fake, garbage. If you fuck with this watch, if you alter this watch and then try to get it fixed at Rolex, they'll send it back to you it's not real anymore.
SPEAKER_03What so if I if I bought a replica or a fake one, right? Would you be able to tell the difference? And what and so like to guys like you that's a good thing.
SPEAKER_02It would have to be a shitty fake for me to to realize somebody had one at work.
SPEAKER_03Artwork?
SPEAKER_02But uh client and I could tell right away it was fucking shit.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you told me the story. Yeah. So but then the question, uh but let's say it's a passable one, right?
SPEAKER_02Like super clone, they call it yeah.
SPEAKER_03What like I wanna be able to tell. Like, to you as a Rolex buyer, the weight and everything. Like, what do you why do you s why do you frown upon like guys that wanna not that wanna appear like they have money, but like, like me, right? I have like I like I like them now that you got me into them. Yeah, right. But I don't have 40 fucking K to throw around right now. So So if I had one, let's just say, right? If I had a fake one, why is it like, no, like fuck you, like you shouldn't fucking buy that Rolex.
SPEAKER_02It's like buying a Lamborghini kit car.
SPEAKER_03I see what you mean.
SPEAKER_02It's fucking stupid. If you don't have it, but they look exactly alike.
SPEAKER_03So it's like buying an actual Lamborghini. But you know it's fake.
SPEAKER_02You're just faking it. So let's say, let's say you can only spend 10 10 grand, get a nice Omega.
SPEAKER_03But I don't want an Omega, I want a Rolex.
SPEAKER_02You could get it, you just gotta save up. Right. You could get it. Yeah, I would not I hate fake gold, fake everything. I hate that shit. I don't fucking do it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So each is okay. You want to fucking wear it? My cousin had a super clone for a long time. He spent $800 on it. Yeah. But the band was real.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So oh, so maybe they they repurposed the band, you know, yeah.
SPEAKER_02The head was a super clone, so I don't know if he changed the band or um or it came like that or whatever, but he put a different band, and the band was real, and then he ended up giving it to his daughter's girl boyfriend. I don't know, some shit. But he took the band back. But he's like, he wore it for the longest.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like you, he's like, yeah, I wanted it. And then he wore it for the longest, and then he was like, I'm done with the fake shit.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Then you just get him. So you could buy, so let's say, you know how they say, Oh, I'll just get a starter one. I'm not a starter guy, I hate that shit.
SPEAKER_03Sure. But like what's a starter one?
SPEAKER_02So an oyster perpetual would be like 7,000.
SPEAKER_03What's it called? Like, what's the actual name? Oyster Perpetual.
SPEAKER_02So Rolex, Oyster Perpetual. Yeah, they make nice watches. Yeah. Like nice designs. So see, I don't know. You'd have to see what the resale value is. So you could wear that watch.
SPEAKER_03I don't think about it in the res in the resale thing, because I feel like if I buy one, I'm gonna keep it.
SPEAKER_02Keep it, yeah, me too.
SPEAKER_03Like I'll like I'll pass it on to my son.
SPEAKER_02But like it's not uh people who want to like kind of move up. Sure. So they'll buy a watch, wear it for a little bit, when the price goes up. You bring it to your dealer, you can while just sell it and then buy the one you want. With the extra money, get a you know, you upgrade. Yeah, you could probably do that too. You upgrade for the next one. And if that one goes up and you want something else, then you upgrade it for the next one. If you get the the prices.
SPEAKER_03I just imagine showing up to patrol with a Rolex. I I've actually seen guys.
SPEAKER_02Somebody we know wore his all the time. Yeah. I was like, nope. I ain't doing that. You imagine.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but who's gonna rob you? Nobody's gonna rob you.
SPEAKER_02I don't care about that. They fucking scratch it. You don't really want to polish those things.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_02Dude, they'll tell you if it's polished or if it's been, yeah, they'll yeah.
SPEAKER_03But dudes in special operations, that's all they wear.
SPEAKER_02Did you see the dude who had the the Hulk?
SPEAKER_03He was uh to you?
SPEAKER_02I don't know if I saw he was standing like this with his hand on his vest.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I might have sent you one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's a green uh it's pretty much the one I want, but it's got a green dial and a green bezel. Watch this, hold on.
SPEAKER_03The Air King is nice. I like how smooth it is.
SPEAKER_02I'm not a like You're not a fan of the uh fluted. I'm not fluted bezel.
SPEAKER_03Yours is fluted, right? Yeah, yeah. I don't like it.
SPEAKER_02When I so when I was younger, I used to think Rolexes look for older people.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I was like, oh, that's now I fucking love it. The fucking fluted shit. I'd buy uh the the bezel that's uh smooth. I would get an oyster perpetual. Let's see, hold on. Rolex. Um let me see.
SPEAKER_03The only one that I like that looks halfway decent with the uh bevels in the um the cutout bevels is the Sky Dweller. I like the green with the polygamy.
SPEAKER_02Skydweller's the bomb. That's my shit. Yeah. That's my shit. You know that the secondary market on that is up, but it's not like a Daytona or anything else. Yeah. But if you see a comparable Daytona and Sky Dweller, Sky Dweller's gonna be more money right off the rip. But when you try to do secondary market, you'll have a fucking uh Daytona that's fucking stupid cash. Yeah. And then uh the Sky Dweller, depending on the model, but it'll only be like four or five grand more.
SPEAKER_03You know what a crazy business would be is like selling like super fakes at like Rolex prices.
SPEAKER_02I'm sure, I mean, obviously people do it, but people I watch on YouTube, people get fucked all the time. I'm sure. All the time. I would never buy, I would need to know who the fuck you are before I buy it.
SPEAKER_03Like, why even bother on the secondary market? It's so fucked. I'm sure it's so crowded with like Chinese fakes, dude. You have to be.
SPEAKER_02You'd have to have to be. You really have to go to somebody you know, like you know of. So the people you watch, I watch all the time on um Instagram. I would go to those people. They're very popular on Instagram and YouTube. Yeah, but you could go there. They can't fucking overcharge you for the watch. Yeah. Because everybody knows what the fucking thing is going for. Yeah if they try to sell you a fucking if they try to sell you a Bruce Wayne GMT 2025 or 26 for $40,000. You're like, get the fuck out of here. You're fucking out of your mind.
SPEAKER_06Right.
SPEAKER_02That thing's going maybe 20, 23, or maybe between 20, yeah, probably 23 would be the most I would ever pay. Used. So they can't overcharge you because everybody knows the fucking prices. But you could trust those guys. Well, as much as you could fucking trust anybody, but uh, I would trust them more than uh the average dude. Dude, people fucking so they have what's called Frankenstein's. So they'll have a GMT, they want it to look like a Bruce Wayne or a Pepsi. Okay. So they'll change the bezel.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02They'll change the bezel.
SPEAKER_03True Rolex or like on their own?
SPEAKER_02They'll buy, they'll buy buy, they'll do it on their own. They'll buy the let's say they buy the the bezel, which is black and and gray. They wanna let's say they buy a black GMT.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Then they buy the bezel. Now they change it to the Bruce Wayne. Then they change the fucking bracelet to a jubile Jubilee bracelet. Then they try to pass it off, and when they sell it to somebody, somebody goes, Oh, this is all brand new. But unless there's all codes on everything. If unless you know those codes, you're you're like, oh yeah, it's a real Rolex. And then you take it apart. Oh, yeah, it's real. But if you don't check the fucking serial numbers and all the codes and everything, you're fucked. So now what happens is you bring it to one of those watch specialists or Rolex, I'm like, this is fake.
SPEAKER_03They throw it up for you, like, sorry. We're not as a matter of fact, we're not even gonna give it back to you so it's not in production.
SPEAKER_02It's fake. They're like, yeah, this is a Frankenstein. Somebody put it together. It's all Rolex pieces, yeah, but it's not worth anything now.
SPEAKER_03That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02The band might be worth something, but so the movement alone in the at the time when I checked, the movement alone in the Sky Dweller. That's just let's say the motor is 10 grand just for that.
SPEAKER_03Wow.
SPEAKER_02Just for the fucking movement inside. Most complicated, well, was the most complicated movement in a watch. This is a lot more complicated movements, but for Rolex, that was the most complicated. Yeah. All the shit it does, does the month, day, two time zones. Month, day, two time zones.
SPEAKER_03So then what is your like what do you what do you tell people that are like, well, my Apple Watch does that too?
SPEAKER_02But my it just shows where I've gone, what I've achieved when you see the Rolex. I see. You've achieved, you like your Apple Watch. Yeah. And mine is awesome. But I've achieved the Rolex. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03I guess the uh from somebody's point of view, could it could be like like you're like you can get you can you can go through Apple and get a fully gold Apple Watch. Sure. Right. But like why get the Rolex if the Apple Watch does more? Like what's the point? It's more of a Like I get it. It's a luxury thing. It's a luxury thing. But like this does more, and it's also gold, let's just say.
SPEAKER_02It's also the way it's crafted. I'm sure. Yeah, I guess, yeah, there's a lot of technology in a fucking Apple Watch, but give it fucking six months, and all that technology is shit. With the the movements inside those watches, they're all handmade and everything. It's just gonna go up in value. And there's so much craftsmanship in there, and everything's gotta be perfect just to run this fucking watch. Yeah. It's just yeah, no, it's a it's an achievement.
SPEAKER_03And then does it get to a point where the Rolex doesn't work anymore?
SPEAKER_02Nah. Hell no, they've had watches for fucking 20, 30 years. You just so they say every 10 years I could just I send it into Rolex. But here's the deal though. So you could have them service it, but sometimes, so let's say you have, let's say you have a GMT again. I keep going to those watches.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I forget what it is, but let's just say it's certain color GMT, maybe the Pepsi, I don't know what does it. So it got the the dial will get faded from the sun and everything older, right? So that watch is sought after because the dial is a certain color that you can't replicate it and that's it. Yeah. So the fucking price will go up to like 20,000, 30,000. Wow. But once if you send that into Rolex, they're gonna change the dial, they're gonna get it back to the and it's garbage. Really? Yeah, and you just lost 10 grand.
SPEAKER_03Even though it's got sun damage, even though it's uh authentic parts from Rolex, that Rolex changed out.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Now you're just let's say it's probably now it's just a $10,000 watch again. When it was probably a $20,000 watch because they call it the the Bart Simpson or something like that.
SPEAKER_03That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02So even I'm telling you, if dude, I'm they're like that makes no sense. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_03You have a brand new part on there from the people that make it.
SPEAKER_02But it's all original, yeah, and then it's aged. So it's so now everybody wants because dude, that fucking shit looks nice. Yeah, yeah. The way it fucking aged and all the the colors fucking faded and everything else like that. But I want that fucking watch, and it'll pay like 20 or 20 or 30 grand.
SPEAKER_03The fact that people would pay that much for a watch, yeah, let alone an old watch, is crazy.
SPEAKER_02So the one, I'm sure you saw this one where the guy went to the Antiques Roadshow and he was a military guy, and I think he spent like $1,000 or $700. I think he spent $700 or some shit. It was like a month's pay on this Rolex. He had the paperwork, never wore it. Everything, the box, fucking everything. Even the sticker was still on the bottom. Yep. I think it was worth by the time he was done $700,000 or $600,000. It's crazy. Yep. Fucking he's like, the guy's like, do not put this watch on.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Do not put it on put it in a museum.
SPEAKER_02Put it fucking back there. You can sell it or save it, but he's like, there's probably hardly, this is probably one or two of them left of this. And this quality is probably the only one. With the fucking stickers on it, the fucking box, the receipt. And then it even showed the discount he got for being in the military.
SPEAKER_03They don't give military discounts anymore.
SPEAKER_02I don't fucking know.
SPEAKER_03I wouldn't I would I wouldn't.
SPEAKER_02Well, this is like a jeweler. Dude, you used to be able to buy him fucking just go to a jeweler and buy it. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like a regular fucking Casio.
SPEAKER_02And then they said, so do you know why a lot of the military? This is what I heard. I don't know if it's true. You're a military dude. I'm not. But a lot of the military dudes, they were giving out Rolexes, maybe special forces or something. Because if you fucking run out of cash, that you can barter it. You can that's the only fucking watchets worldwide that you could barter.
SPEAKER_03CIA gives them out, Secret Service gives them out. Uh a bunch of the SOCOM guys in the military get uh get them from different units.
SPEAKER_02Besides the fact that they fucking their tanks.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So like you'll see. I follow this guy. I'm gonna shout out this guy. Let me see if I can fucking pull up his Instagram. Um if you can pull it up too.
SPEAKER_02What is it?
SPEAKER_03Watches of espionage. You fucking um you're gonna like that one on Instagram.
SPEAKER_02Watches of espionage.
SPEAKER_03Yes. And uh he photographs a bunch of like special forces guys, you know, Secret Service guys.
SPEAKER_02Wearing the watches?
SPEAKER_03Wearing the watches like out in the field. Um you'll see like uh he'll he'll you'll show him like a photo of like a random like government official, and he'll like post like the exact photo of like what that's a bright link. Yeah, right there.
SPEAKER_02So he'll tell you, like, you know, this person is wearing like I might I wonder if I follow that guy because they always do that and they'll so they'll show like presidents and fucking military dudes. They'll show you yeah, so that's a J and this is a Rolex.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so this one's a brightling, but then you see how they're engraved with the units like insignia. Yeah. So all these companies work together with the government. Oh yeah. So that's how they get a bunch of.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, you could barter this fucking watch and be like, I got a Rolex, I need to get the fuck out of here. You could have this Rolex. And now the guy just made fucking 10 grand.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02You know what I mean? So to to a fucking Afghani or a Chinese dude or some, you know, somebody that's in a village.
SPEAKER_03I gotta get out. Here's a forty get a forty thousand dollar watch.
SPEAKER_02I say in America, you could get yeah, you could get big money for this watch. So I gotta get the fuck out of here. You have the watch. Yes. If not, then I'll shoot you in the face and I'm gonna find somebody else that wants my watch and get me out of here.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. It's uh it's actually it's actually pretty interesting how uh it's like um how ingrained the military is with all these watches. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02There's another brightling. See that that omega is nice. Somebody that we know is uh trying to get this one. They're gonna see if they can order it for him. Like 10 grand for this omega. That's nice. Right there. Uh Tudor is made by uh Rolex.
SPEAKER_06Is it really?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yep. What else is there? My bright I love my Bright Link. This is my first. I'm not actually I have a Concord.
SPEAKER_03So I hear a lot of people going and saying that um that they would rather buy the Grand Seiko's versus a Rolex.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's like fucking Why?
SPEAKER_03It's Japanese, but they're very good. Their quality is insane.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, very good watch, Grand Seiko.
SPEAKER_03So why why why are Rolex people always hating on the Grand Seiko?
SPEAKER_02No, I don't hate on them. You just said Yeah, but I don't want to go So I'm not gonna spend fucking 10 grand on a fucking Grand Sagel when I can spend 12 grand on a fucking GMT.
SPEAKER_03But why? If it's the same craftsmanship, probably even more.
SPEAKER_02Nah, I don't know. I guess it's like if you're like the Walt and Milwaukee, but nah, it's not even that close. There's no alone, alone. The one thing I could think of would be the resale value. You're not gonna get a fucking you get you buy a grand seco for 10 grand, you're gonna sell it for like seven.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but that's how you're seeing it. You're seeing it as well, like resale stuff. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02My question is, like, the craftsmanship and just as the the watches are just as actually what's the the Hertz or whatever is higher than Rolex, the Hertz with the vibration movement or some shit. Yeah, is actually higher. I forgot what it was though. No, they're very good. I just that's not my thing.
SPEAKER_03Um Do you think people will be like, ah, it's just a Grand Saco, not a Rolex?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, see, that's that's being a snob for me. Yeah, yeah. Oh, that shit is Seiko. Right. Oh, that's all the motherfucker. You see, it's like you get all right, what's yeah, but but that's like getting a Lamborghini or a Ferrari.
SPEAKER_03People and and Lamborghini and Ferrari came before, right? So that's like saying that the Ferrari people look at Lamborghini as they're like, that piece of shit. Like it's still a hundred million dollar car.
SPEAKER_02I would say, let's say, let's say the Rolex would be like the Bentley. Right?
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02And the grand saga would be like the BMW.
SPEAKER_03But like a fucking X7 BMW.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Still an expensive BMW.
SPEAKER_03But they're selling at the same price. Almost at the same price.
SPEAKER_02So let's say you could get the shitty used Bentley for the price of the nice BMW. It doesn't have to be a shitty used Bentley. You see what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03So like let so you're so like a uh fucking 2015 Bentley versus a brand new BMB.
SPEAKER_02Probably, yeah. I would think that would be.
SPEAKER_03Would you get the fucking 2015 or would you get the BMW?
SPEAKER_02So here we go, yeah. It depends if it's a classic. So it depends if that watch, if I feel like that watch is gonna be a classic.
SPEAKER_03Some shit.
SPEAKER_02If I really wanted it, I'd probably still go the role.
SPEAKER_03Dude, they they're fucking nice.
SPEAKER_02No, the Grand Sagos are nice. I just don't, I don't know, there's something about them. I'm not feeling them. Maybe the designs or whatever. They had some nice ones.
SPEAKER_03The SBG Z003 or AP. So this is the same thing as the 1903 or 1908.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they they kind of fall in line a little bit. Yeah. The um how much they want for that one? 15. I'll say. No more than 15. So the AP watch.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Those would be. Now that's when you're getting to like people hate. I don't know if Grant to me, Grant Seiko's not on the level of Rolex. That's crazy. I don't think so. So it would be Rolex, AP. I don't know what in any particular order. Uh AP. Fuck's the other one. AP, fucking Rolex. I'm fucking drone up blank.
SPEAKER_04See, I think Patek is probably Yeah, that's what I'm trying to think.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Patek. Those would be on one level. Yeah. You'd have Omega, Grand Sago.
SPEAKER_03That's crazy putting Omega in Grand Sagal.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I I would get an Omega over Grand Sago. No. Oh yeah. Just I like the styles of them too.
SPEAKER_03Let me look it up right now. Now I gotta look it up.
SPEAKER_02AP to me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I wouldn't spend the money on them because they're nice looking.
SPEAKER_03It's just $60,000. What? For that fucking for what? For uh SBGZ003, which is the same equivalent as, or at least face, you know, face looking as a 1908.
SPEAKER_02So would you get so the $30,000 Rolex or that? I know exactly.
SPEAKER_03I mean, if you had put them side by side each other and took the name out of them, they're about the same. Yeah. Would I double the amount of money for a Grand Seiko? No. No, fuck no. I'm not paying $60 for it. No. If I could barely afford $30 for a $1908, I'm not gonna pay $60.
SPEAKER_02So you imagine now you see somebody with that Grand Seiko. You're like, that's a $60,000 watch. I'd like you're a fucking idiot. You know what you could get for fucking $60 grand? You could get a fucking beautiful Daytona or Skydweller fucking all souped up. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03But let's say let's see resale. Let's do resale value. Let's do the resale value for the $60,000 fucking watch. So they're saying, right, this is googly that uh the Grand Seiko retains its original value between 50 and 75%.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so you're losing fucking 20 grand.
SPEAKER_03So if it's pre-owned, you're gonna you know pet spend 30.
SPEAKER_02And this is some Rolexes too, you're gonna lose money right out the right out the bat.
SPEAKER_03Retails for 40 for 57. So if you go to a store, right, you might you know you can probably bring them down to 57, whereas you're gonna pay fifth 49 if you go and buy a uh pre-owned one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. This paddock Nautilus is $144,000.
SPEAKER_03It's ugly as fuck. Not gonna lie.
SPEAKER_02I I'm not I don't feel the I don't feel it. No, neither do I. I don't feel it. They're great, they're fucking awesome watches.
SPEAKER_03I'm sure. I'm sure there's great craftsmanship. Like, look at that, the movement.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Am I gonna am I gonna look at that watch? Like, let's say you had it on and you said and you said I spent $144,000. Unless you know watches, you're not gonna know. I would look at it and I'd call you fucking retarded.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Unless you know watches, you're not gonna fucking watch.
SPEAKER_03That's that too. A lot of people that, yeah.
SPEAKER_02They'd have no fucking idea. But if it's something that's hard to get, right. So watch this one. You ready? Ha. Five point three million for this watch.
SPEAKER_03That's fucking insane.
SPEAKER_02I think Sylvester Stallone had one. I wonder if it was this Grandmaster Chime or whatever. This is the most I think this one's the most complicated movement. He had this one. I think he sold it. Now they banned him from fucking protects it. Now you're banned.
SPEAKER_03Do you think um What was I gonna ask?
SPEAKER_02Eight million. Some of these shits are crazy.
SPEAKER_03Do you think that the people that are making these watches are making their value? Like, like do you think the guys that are like the the craft masters, right? The people that are making the physical watch, yeah, you think they're getting compensated or you think they're fucking like fucking doctors.
SPEAKER_02You think so? Yeah. You can't just go in there fucking to paddock Rolex or whatever and say, I'm not gonna do that. So these guys aren't making 80, 90k a year. They're probably making more than that.
SPEAKER_03There'd have to be, right? Hell yeah. I would hope so. If if Frank is spending five million dollars on a Patek, you would hope that the person that's making it is making it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, not anybody's gonna be able to just work on that watch. No way. Right. So my watch at the time, and it's not a fucking, it's a let's say, now it's up to 25. That watch, there was only one person in Texas in the United States at the time when I bought it that was able to service it.
SPEAKER_03Wow.
SPEAKER_02The only person, because they have to learn the movement and everything. And thus otherwise they have to send it back to Switzerland. Wow. So he's like, if we have to service it for any for any reason, we have to send it to Texas, and there's like a couple people or whatever that are certified to work on this movement.
SPEAKER_06That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02Or you have like Hublos, kind of like, I don't know. What's that? Uh there's just another luxury watch, but they fell off because they did, they would do a lot of fucking watches like, oh, we got the watch for LeBron James, we got the watch for fucking uh Friday the 13th, we got the watch for Ferrari, so they kept doing that and they fuck they kind of fell off. So if you look at a Richard Mill, so this would be a Richard Mill, this would be two million dollars. Right here.
SPEAKER_03A lot of Spanish rappers talk about those watches. Richard Mill, yeah. That's because they're that's never and I've never even like heard of them outside of like that, like outside of music.
SPEAKER_02So they have the bubble Watson, he's the fucking let's see, Richard Mill, Bubble Watson. My cousin gave me a fucking strap like this. I haven't been able to put it on. So let's say we do uh Richard Mill.
SPEAKER_03Well, you gotta say it like that.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. Bubba Watson. Okay. So this watch, if you want a bubble Watson, it's $420,000. Look at this fucking thing.
SPEAKER_03That's so dumb.
SPEAKER_02So my my uh Apple watch, yeah, it's supposed to replicate a fucking Richard Mill. That's what it is. Yeah. Look, because if you look at the shape and everything of my case, it's supposed to replicate like that.
SPEAKER_03That's funny.
SPEAKER_02That's what it's supposed to look like. See? And people say, is that a Richard Mill? I'm like, no. If you think it is, you're a fucking idiot.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So it all depends on what you see, Bubba Watson. So somebody, so this guy, Bubba Watson, the golfer, he's got his own Richard Mill. And somebody had his watch on. Okay. The millionaire had his fucking watch. Yeah. And he sees him somewhere out. He's like, dude, sign my watch. Do you know how much money that fuck? And it's somebody recorded it. He signed the fucking ban. Yeah. And he took a picture like this with it. Yeah. That watch is fucking doubled.
SPEAKER_03That doubled in price.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. It's a fucking never wear that watch again. You better fucking put that shit away. Yep.
SPEAKER_03You know, wrap it in a fucking cloth and fucking put it away.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_03Scams. Again, the economy runs on scam. All you do was sign it. That's it. Scam. Ink. Yeah. That'll probably eventually be. That's why you can't wear it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, eventually you will fucking keep it out of the sun, motherfuckers. That shit'll go away. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's fucking crazy, dude.
SPEAKER_02I love watches. It's a statement piece. And then you could talk about it. Yeah. And then people say, it's a collect it's collection.
SPEAKER_03Right.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_02You like to collect watches. Yeah, I would get a grand sego. I'm not, I don't know if I'd spend 10 grand on one.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_02If somebody came up used, it was like five or six grand, but it was like a nice one that I liked, I get it.
SPEAKER_03It's always the ones that I want that are like 60 fucking game.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's the fucking uh let's see, let's see, let's see. Let's see what we can get. How much you want to spend?
SPEAKER_03I'd say 10k right now.
SPEAKER_02You want a Rolex? Sure. I say go Rolex. Rolex. Let's just go on the website. That's nice. Fucking okay, let's see.
SPEAKER_03SB SBDG 201 is 62. Again, where are the are they pulling these fucking numbers out of their ass? What is it?
SPEAKER_02What's the metal made out of?
SPEAKER_03Uh let's see. Platinum. That's probably why.
SPEAKER_02You know Rolex makes their own shit when it comes to Oh, I'm sure.
SPEAKER_03I'm sure Grand Seiko does too. Because they're the they're the main competitor to Rolex.
SPEAKER_02Is Grand Seiko.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_02Omega is not the main competitor to fucking I I'm sure this is expensive. I don't know. To me, they're in the same class as Omega. I listen, I'm not a fucking watch specialist. So who's the fucking main competition? I'm an amateur fucking.
SPEAKER_03Let's Google it. Who is the main competitor?
SPEAKER_02So Rolex? It's gotta be AP or Patek. I'm sure fucking Grand Saco's in there, but like I said, I'm not a fucking watch specialist. I don't know any of that bullshit. I'm just a dude who fucking owns one and wants to get another one.
SPEAKER_03Omega is the Rolex's primary. Get the fuck out of here, dude.
SPEAKER_02Omega sells up. They're good watches. You think so? Omega's? Oh yeah. Those are good watches. They're just not like Brightland's a good watch. They don't make their own movement. Yeah. Neither does Omega, I don't think. Like, Rolex makes their own movement. Yeah. You're not gonna get a fucking.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, see, but but this is what I mean. Like, like Google will say Omega is a main competitor to Rolex, right? But like if I see somebody out with an Omega, I'm like, oh nice watch. Yeah, nice watch. But if I see somebody out with a Rolex, you're like, holy shit, like let me see your watch. Again, and if I see somebody with a Grand Seiko, I'm like, holy shit, let me see your watch.
SPEAKER_02I would probably look at it too a Grand Seiko just to see. Right. I'd look at all of them.
SPEAKER_03But are you gonna look at an Omega the same way you look at a Rolex?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because I stopped a fucking there's a uh a medic that I know who had one on. And it was a swatch one. So it's like $300. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I looked at it, I was like, dude, that shit is badass.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I've seen those.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And I never seen one in person, but he had it. And I was like, dude, that shit is fucking nice. I like it. It's like, yeah, it's 300 bucks. It's an omega swatch. He's like, you could wear it if it gets banged up, what gives a shit? You know? But it's still got a nice designed watch and everything. I don't know, I like it. I'm one of those AP fucking things. Swatch AP. Yeah. Just to have it. And then I was like, I ain't fucking buying that shit.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. Like, if I'm gonna spend 10k on a watch. I'll go Rolex and That's what I mean. Like, like if I spend 10K on a watch and it's an Omega and I show you and I go, look at my $10,000 watch. I believe you though. But I I know you believe me, but you'd be like, eh, that's an Omega. It's not a Rolex. What goes through your mind after getting to the five figure that you're spending on a watch, uh, six figures, right? You that you could get up to at some point, right? Yeah, you're you're not gonna get impressed with an omega.
SPEAKER_02Depends. Yeah, I see what you're saying.
SPEAKER_03If you pull out a $60,000 watch, right, and it's an omega, you're like, oh, that's crazy that you would spend that much money. But if you pull out a $60,000 Rolex, you're like, that's a nice fucking watch. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You know what I mean? I think so. What they do is Rolex, they have the shit in stock. I don't give a fuck what anybody says. Yeah, they're full of them. They just don't want to fucking release them. You wait. Yes. So you feel like you're special when you get it. Yes. We're gonna let you buy this watch.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah. On our time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. When we're ready to sell it to you.
SPEAKER_03Fuck you. That's my thing. Fuck you. I want it now.
SPEAKER_02I'll tell you that shit works till I'm like, okay, I'll wait for you.
SPEAKER_03I'll wait a year and a half. I feel like that's something you should do for a car. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Some car brands do the same shit.
SPEAKER_03So so my thing is like I used to feel that way, right? With cars. But like you can't do that now because cars, the technology moves so quick, right? Whereas whereas in 2010, let's just say, right? If you had a fucking brand new fucking Ferrari, people would be like, oh fuck it, yeah, I'll fucking wait a year, whatever. But you do that now, the fucking screen is already two years old. You're fucked.
SPEAKER_02So I watched some of these car guys too. And plus, all right, so I was at work and I saw this guy with the Porsche.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And he had the Porsche shirt and everything. And it was some GT, something. I don't know what the fuck it was. Yeah. But my friend always spoke about one and he wanted to get one, the certain fucking Porsche.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And this one was a green one, and I guess they make all different models of the same model. Yeah. If that makes sense. With the color and everything else. He said his was $150,000, and the wait list to get it was three years.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. By that point, that's what he said.
SPEAKER_03The screen, the fucking which is like the movement of the fucking car. You're like, dude, like this technology is it's not even fucking touch screen. Like you, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02But you're thinking stuff like that. They're thinking about the suspension, the design.
SPEAKER_03Sure.
SPEAKER_02The motor or the engine, the exhaust, everything about that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Is that but I'm thinking about what I'm gonna be touching every single fucking day.
SPEAKER_02But you're I don't think you're gonna be driving that shit every day anyway.
SPEAKER_03If you have fucking well, when I had the Mustang, that's some shit that I thought about. Well, oh yeah, of course. But that would be and and it was like, mind you, I had uh Mustang GT 2015 fucking like souped out, 400 horsepower, right? But the interior, like old. You know what I mean? Like I've always felt that Mustang never like they need to fucking move forward with time. And it was just like in the center, it would just be like the clock and the fucking CD uh thing. Yeah, and that would be it. Like the fucking uh There's nothing to it. AC controls and shit. There's nothing to it. Nothing to it. Yeah. Whereas like on the GMC, it's like, all right, that's fucking that's nice. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Dude, yeah, I love your truck.
SPEAKER_03So, but so like I don't know. And I and I spend just about the same amount on the truck and the and the Mustang. Trucks are stupid expensive.
SPEAKER_02I know.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Stupid. I wanted to get a new truck so bad, and I was starting to look at the prices. I'm like, forget it. Forget it.
SPEAKER_0470 grand? Yeah, forget that now. I could get a bend. There's dudes at our job with hundred thousand six-figure fucking.
SPEAKER_02Over 100,000.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_02Fucking nuts.
SPEAKER_01They just started.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, they just started. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, how the fuck did you do that?
SPEAKER_03You could have bought you could have put 10 down payments on 10 separate houses.
SPEAKER_02I spent $30,000 on a Jeep, and I thought that was crazy.
SPEAKER_03It is crazy. It is crazy. It is crazy. A lot of people, like, I think they're accustomed. They're accustomed to spending that much money, and they think that it's okay now because everybody else is doing it. It's not okay.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, that was 20, that was in corrections. It was probably 23 something, 23 years ago plus. That's crazy. But a brand newest $30,000. And I was so excited. Fucking, I saved up money, fucking got so I guess that's comparative. Because I think it was only making $30 to $50,000 in corrections then.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It was like a year's pay, we'll say.
SPEAKER_03Which is what's getting you to, you know, to work and stuff. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But it's almost like a fucking gift to yourself. You're fucking working. Right. You start to make money. But 30K. Or like a young gift.
SPEAKER_03Like if you're if you're making thir, you know, between 30 to 50k a year, a car, okay. If you're if if you're making, I don't know. I think back then when like back when you're saying that would have been okay. But now, yeah, we're making six figures. You know, we well, we make well above six figures. Yeah. But we own houses. We own all this shit. We're not Oh, yeah, now you're not. Like if you're in an apartment and you buy a $30,000 car and you're making $30,000 a year, okay. I I can see that.
SPEAKER_02What was they doing? I think it was living home still.
SPEAKER_03And and even better. But if you own a house and you're buying a hundred thousand dollar truck, dude, like your payments can be like $1,200. It's gonna be the same as your mortgage.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like Fuck that. You you are not good with like you might make good money, but you're not good with money.
SPEAKER_02I got my so if you look at my truck.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So I had this. I'm looking at the back axle.
SPEAKER_03By the way, did you buy that new or you always had like it was uh a couple years old when I bought it. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02So I bought it for 18,000 when I think Obama was president, and gas went fucking crazy and they weren't moving. So that had like the chrome wheels, it was the whole thing. I got a fucking DVD player in there. DVD, the fucking thing pops down. Yeah, it was loaded back then. So then uh I bought that for like 18,000.
SPEAKER_06Yep.
SPEAKER_02Um and I had I've had it ever since. It's almost at a hundred thousand miles. Um mine is almost a hundred thousand.
SPEAKER_03I'm at a hundred and mine's in 06. Mine is uh 2019. Damn. So but again, I travel to Rhode Island all the time with the military.
SPEAKER_02I think the truck when I was never my daily driver, that's why.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, right. Right, right. But mine is.
SPEAKER_02So so I see mine's at like 120 something, 123. So I see, yeah, but that's not bad. It's a truck. Right. I see this fucking tube hanging from my fucking uh well actually Steph noticed it, hanging from the uh That's why you said that you dropped your asshole.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So I'm like, I'm walking away from the truck. I just get home from work, steps on the porch. It's like, what's hanging from your car? I'm like, shut up, punk. Yeah, yeah. Fuck it with me. I'm not looking back. Yeah. Right? So I thought she was fucking around. Yeah. Then uh I come out the next day, dude. I was like, what's hanging from my truck, yo? That bitch won't lie, no? That's hilarious. So then I look and I send my brother a video, like, what is this? What is this? Just hanging. So he's like, uh, it's just a uh relief valve, uh relief hose or something, or whatever. He's like, just zip, zip tie it back to wherever. It's fine. So okay. I was like, thank God, right? So as I'm underneath, I'm like, yo, my tire, but I'm never gonna be able to fucking change the tire because the fucking rim is rusted pretty much to the welded to the fucking welded to the frame? To the frame. I look at the mounts on the fucking bed of the truck. I don't know where they are, they're gone. Then I'm like, this gas tank looks funny. Why is it? Is it always tilted like this? So I look and the strap snapped off is rusted off. So it was hanging by one strap. So what I did was I was at work, I was like, oh fuck.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So then I took a uh a ratchet strap, put it to the fucking to the frame, put it around the thing, and went. I cut the excess off and now it's fixed. Now it's there.
SPEAKER_03You lost it. You lost the ratchet strap. It's there forever.
SPEAKER_02I cut it to make it fit perfect, and that's it.
SPEAKER_03You think I can hold the fucking weight?
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah. All right. That's I used the the big one that I used to tie down the cars with. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Yeah, I ain't fucking going nowhere. Plus, I don't fill it up all the way anyway. It's too expensive. That's right. I put like fucking seven seven gallons in at a time, and that's it. Yeah. That's it. All done.
SPEAKER_03My girl, I've I've when I um we were on our way earlier this morning, uh, and we filled up the truck, and she was like, Oh, 80 bucks isn't bad. I was like, fuck you, it's not bad.
SPEAKER_02Fuck. You filled it up for 80?
SPEAKER_03No, I filled it up for hold on. Over 100. No, it was 90. So 90 bucks. She said 90 bucks is not bad. And I and she was like, it's better than 100 that it was 120 last week.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. It's like worse than the fucking 60 it used to cost it. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_03It's 60 bucks for me to fill up my tank.
SPEAKER_02Fucking shit. I gotta get my Honda going. Yo, it's inside my fucking garage with flat tires. That shit was like you got spikes stripped, that's why.
SPEAKER_03I don't know what happened.
SPEAKER_02It was like $20 something dollars to fill it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02There's gotta be mice in that fucking thing. It's gotta be.
SPEAKER_03It has to be. Fucking shit. You might get me to omegas again. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Omegas are nice.
unknownI don't know.
SPEAKER_02Tudors are nice. The Grand Sago's nice, but if you're gonna spend even with the even with the Omega. If you're gonna spend 10, might as well go Rolex. Spend an extra two grand and get a fucking Rolex. Yeah. You're just gonna have to wait a little bit. So that's what makes it crazy too.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02If you wear the Rolex, right?
SPEAKER_03The fucking Speedmaster Moon Watch is what I'm looking at right now. It looks really nice.
SPEAKER_02This is a Snoopy one I like. Then I would buy it, but it's expensive. So everybody wants that one. When and this is also, it's like a So alright. When you have a Rolex or AP or whatever it is, you expect like yo, mad chicks are gonna see my watch and love me. That's a nice one.
unknownThat one.
SPEAKER_02Yep. So but no, you get no fucking not one chick is gonna look. It's gonna be all dudes. Yes, all dudes. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03It's like working out. You know, if you don't work out for yourself, you'll see the dude looking over the dudes.
SPEAKER_02You just see a dude looking over. Oh, that dude benches, yo. Yeah, 100%. So when you wear the watch, if you watch people as they walk past you, they look down, they give that target glance of the watch like this. Yep. I see it all the time. I'm like, you wanna look? Yeah, you want to look at it? So are we gonna like you know I'm gonna go that way and just point the but I do the same thing because some guy we were on the uh we're on a plane coming back from Florida and I see a guy target glance at the watch when I was like this? I was fucking looking at my phone, I go look up, and he's target glancing. What do I do? I target glance at his wrist, and he had the zombie on. It's a two-tone uh GMT, which I originally wanted at first, but it looked too much like what I had now.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So we both target glance and give each other a wink, like, yeah, yeah. But I guarantee we'll be like, yo, maybe I should go sit next to him so we could talk about this. Well, talk about it. So it's it's a uh it's a little show-off thing. It's a fucking you it's pride knowing you got a fucking handmade watch and not everybody could get it right now. You know, it's it's all it's everything, dude. I'm telling you, it's all psychological.
SPEAKER_03It must be.
SPEAKER_02I mean, the watch is definitely made like a fucking tank. But as far as getting it, it's definitely uh that's how they get the price up to make you wait. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's it.
SPEAKER_03I mean, more I'm looking more and more at at these omegas, and like I can see why they say that they're the main competitor of Rolex, because they look very similar. Like if you looked if you had a quick glance at the 1908, right? Uh and let's just say it had a platinum face on it and not the blue that it usually has. Yeah. And you put it next to the constellation observatory one that uh Omega has, yeah, you'd you'd have to like stare at it and then be like, okay, that's definitely not a Rolex.
SPEAKER_02Somebody would have to know what they're looking at.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Like a girl would be like, oh, that's a nice watch. Yeah. But like you would be like, fuck no, that's not the same thing as a Rolex. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02But you it's still not uh it's still respectable. Right. You still have think about it. If it's $10,000, we're making it seem like that's fucking garbage money. To somebody at McDonald's. But even to us, $10,000 on your wrist is a lot of fucking money.
SPEAKER_03It is.
SPEAKER_02It is think about it. I would wear this to a road job. No fucking way. I wouldn't wear an omega to a road job either. You're a fucking out of it. I don't wear any of my shit to.
SPEAKER_03You're not doing nothing. You're standing there. Nope. My luck, dude, I'd rather fucking fall. I'd rather fucking be waving, flapping at traffic. You know, I'd be flapping.
SPEAKER_01Nope.
SPEAKER_03Look at my fucking watch, buddy.
SPEAKER_01Nope. Nope. Really? You're gonna fuck it up. No, you're not gonna fuck it up. Pebble's gonna hit the fucking screen.
SPEAKER_03It's the same thing as if you're going to a fucking bar. You'd have worse luck at the bar with your Rolex if you fell drunk or if somebody that was drunk fell on you and you fucking like fell backwards, you're fucked.
SPEAKER_02I would call the cops and get a police report. I would say that. If somebody fell on my shit, like you are paying for this motherfucker.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03You'd have better luck on a road job than you would at a bar. You're right. Now I'm not gonna wear it anymore.
SPEAKER_02That's what I mean. Fucking shit.
SPEAKER_03Because at a road job, who the fuck is backing up into you? You're fucking just standing there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, I ain't doing that.
SPEAKER_03If somebody runs you over, then you're you're gonna make a police report anyways.
SPEAKER_02But what I'm saying is that 007 for 10 grand or nine, it's 9,500, we'll say. I wouldn't wear that at a road job.
SPEAKER_03I'd wear this one though.
SPEAKER_02It's a nice fucking weekend watch.
SPEAKER_0310K, 10K watch. No.
SPEAKER_02It's still a lot of money, if you think about it. For the average person like us, we're the average people. It's a lot of fucking money.
SPEAKER_03It's like 10 days of overtime. It's fucked up how we see the world. You know what I mean? Like when we see shit like that, like I got four overtimes. My my full my whole thing, yeah. My whole thing now is like my girl's like, oh, we gotta get whatever, whatever. I'm like, yeah, I gotta do fucking, I calculate, oh, I gotta do three overtimes for that. And she's like, what? And I'm like, yeah, that's how I do it and she was like, that's fucked up. And I'm like, I make on one, you know, overtime thing.
SPEAKER_02What you're gonna make you're gonna make in a week. Yeah. So Steph's like, yeah, we gotta hit the streets. Yeah, yeah. My girl says the same thing, yeah. You gotta hit the streets, yo. If you want this shit, you want to go away. Or she'll be like, we spent a lot of money at the bar on vacation. You gotta hit the streets. And then I pin myself out. That's right. I kiss the ass of the fucking road job guy, whoever's working, but hey, you need a daughter to water or anything? Just so I can try to get that to get out of there early. Yep. Whatever you need. I'll put this cone out for you, no problem.
SPEAKER_03Dude, I knew that you'll have to. I'll put out the fucking cones.
SPEAKER_01I'll fucking hey, you guys good? Everything's a scam. I'm with you. I'm with you.
SPEAKER_03I fucking hey, somebody comes and talks shit to you. You fucking talk to me. Talk to me. I'm not gonna do shit, but you can't do that. But you know what I mean. Eight hours. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_02You know that eight, right?
SPEAKER_03Four hours and 15 minutes right here, pal.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we're not going fucking nowhere. What'll get you eight? Four hours and 30 minutes. We're just about done. Yep. That's right. Pop the tire. Nobody goes nowhere. And then, yeah. And then you look at the watch. Ah, 4.15. Uh, so you're gonna sign this or what are we doing? We're good? You guys done now? Yeah, once you hit that eight, you're like, all right, guys, we're done. Fuck you. Fuck everybody. Wrap it up. You went from how can I help you to wrap this shit up? Let's get the fuck out of here within five minutes. Yes, 100%, dude. People might be like, oh my god, you that's the way you are? No, that's how we all are.
SPEAKER_03Every every cop, every single fucking cop.
SPEAKER_02Everybody that's working, once they hit that, all right, I've made my money, I'm getting the fuck out of here.
SPEAKER_03At our 7.9. So let's say you get out at three. At 255, you're like, this shit needs to fucking go now.
SPEAKER_02For the average person, too, even at 145 to 2, you're like, I'm done. Yeah. I am done for the day.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm clocked out.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I gotta work my way in or finish this one thing up. So, and the looks nice, dude. It's very nice. Yeah, the fucking but uh what's that one? 17?
SPEAKER_03Constellation observatory. See, this would that that would be one that I would get. But I do like the blue.
SPEAKER_02So, I mean, yeah, that blue's bad. I like the other one.
SPEAKER_0310k? 11k? That's not bad. I'd wear on a road job. It's not a nice talking piece. You know, I feel like the Rolex would be like uh anniversary gift. Versus this is like uh birthday gift.
SPEAKER_02That's nice. I like the other one. Go back. Which one? The green? Was it green? I'm colorblind. No, the other one. It was another one.
SPEAKER_03Oh, the burgundy. No uh let's see. This one. Was it that one? They all look nice.
SPEAKER_02I can see why people would collect them. The black one's nice.
SPEAKER_03Oh, the blue one, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I like that one. Yeah, they're nice. Oh, if I saw somebody with, I'm telling you, they're all like talking pieces. Even with the, I don't know, the AP, I would see it on somebody's wrist. I'm like, oh. But dude, there's a lot of fakes of APs going around. Yeah. So you'll see a f here's here's the problem. You'll see some fucking douchebag getting out of a fucking He's got an AP on that's supposed to be 150,000 getting out of a fucking Uber. You know what I mean? Yeah. You see what I'm saying? But like, that shit is fake, like a motherfucker. That shit is fake.
SPEAKER_03That's so funny. That's so that's such a funny fucking thing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, getting out of a fucking so when we were in Fort Myers, I saw that.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, but then like let's say he's like you, traveling. Yeah. He's in Key West. You know what I mean? Getting out of an Uber, he's getting out, let's just say the white he's wearing a fucking sea dweller, right? It's a 20,000, 2025 at most, right? Uh I can see somebody getting out of an Uber. It has to be an Uber Uh Uber bless. I can't talk shit. It has to be an Uber blast.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I get the one. I get the one where it's like, I'll sp I'll wait here the extra fucking 20 minutes. I don't give a shit. I'm gonna save that three fucking dollars. I'm not fucking getting over there. I mean, that's yeah, but I don't know. $140,000, you're you're gonna you're not taking another.
SPEAKER_03I'm saving up the money to buy another watch.
SPEAKER_02To buy another fake one.
SPEAKER_03You think so? Hell yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You have $140,000 to spend on a watch. You're not taking a fucking Uber.
SPEAKER_03How much are there fluted cufflinks? Let's see. Probably fucking five grand. Probably, honestly.
SPEAKER_01I get fluted cuffs.
SPEAKER_03I like these.
SPEAKER_01I like these.
unknownThese are fucking these are fucking nice.
SPEAKER_01That's fine.
SPEAKER_02Of course you would.
SPEAKER_01They're Rolex!
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but you're, you know, you're Puerto Rican.
SPEAKER_02Yes. I was gonna say part of your culture. But they're not. Yeah, it's part of your culture. The white guys would get uh Mercedes logo? What the fuck? Oh no, so on that's the hand of the fucking uh one of the hands on one of the on the watches. I guess. So they call it the Mercedes hand. See, that's what I like that one. That's what my culture would get. The Italians.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So the Italians would get that.
SPEAKER_03They have desk, a giant desk clock. That's fucking 10 grand.
SPEAKER_02I would get that.
SPEAKER_03That's fucking ghetto as fucked. Six grand for cup flinks? That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02So I would get the fluted ones. You would get the fucking actual Rolex one. It's just that's what your culture is. I like the gold. I like the gold with the green. Italians love to uh or the blue ones. To to wear flashy shit. I think but we don't do the logos. We'll do like you know that fluted thing is from a Rolex thing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, but Rolex has all their shit, all their logos on everything.
SPEAKER_02When I when I picked out this watch, the P the one of the guys we know who's into watches too, you know, he's got a Rolex, he's got the other watches too, and he goes, That's the most Italian watch I've ever seen in my fucking life. I was like, I was like, you don't fucking love it? He's like, no, I would never wear that fucking thing ever. And I'm like, in love with it. It's just a culture.
SPEAKER_03It's uh see, but so it's hard having this conversation because people in Connecticut, New York, right, have a certain view of Puerto Ricans, of the ghetto Puerto Ricans, right? Yeah. But then when you go to Puerto Rico, it's like a switch flips. So like the main islanders, not the one in the city, so you would know like the ones in the city, there's like the ghetto ones. And then you have the ones in the city who are like the business owners, yeah. The one ones that wear like the fucking button-ups and the fucking full suits. Yeah, like yeah, like Italians. Yeah. And then you see like the ghetto ones that move to like Florida. I'm sorry, Florida, New York, yeah, right. And then you're like, ah, that's their culture. Like, no, that's not.
SPEAKER_02That's this is just what we see.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_02So it's so fucked up. Even in the United States, yeah, there's I'm gonna say this without giving it away. Fuck it. I know we know of people clients will say the shitty Italian ones that are around. And then people would look at them and say, That's what all the Italians are about. Right, Damagu, fuck it. Yeah, right. And then I'm just like, no, no. No, yeah, I see what you're saying.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I see what you're saying.
SPEAKER_03Like the ones that you would meet at a cigar lounge are not the ones that you're gonna meet in Hartford in Hartford or in Bloomfield, you know what I mean? Like they're completely separate. Like they they live in two different realities.
SPEAKER_02See, and that's what I was saying when I was at the pool. Yeah, it wasn't a race thing because they were all there. It was a class thing. And I'm like, these fucking like one of them was fucking twerking, and even their shitty friend was like, You gotta stop twerking here.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but you say that, and I already envisioned it. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but they're you know what I mean? Even their friend was like, had enough sense to be like, yeah, stop twerking. You're you're making us look bad. Yes. Worse than we fucking are. Right. But they're still fucking all loud. Ah, fucking and Nova Gertz is walking around fucking. Oh my god. Maybe it's because I'm older, I don't want to deal with that shit. Maybe I wonder if it was just because they were younger.
SPEAKER_03I've always been that way.
SPEAKER_02I just don't want to.
SPEAKER_03No. Like, who wants to? Like why?
SPEAKER_02Because they're younger and they're just annoying.
SPEAKER_03Don't get me wrong. I've gone to the clubs and I like, you know, when it's at the club, it's appropriate. Fun. Because you're there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03When I'm at home or when I'm with my family or when I'm at Target, I don't want to fucking hear it.
SPEAKER_02No, I don't want to do it. If I see anything.
SPEAKER_03When I'm at Chili's and you're behind me and you're fucking loud and fuck and I'm like, I just want a five dollar margarita. Can I just fucking relax? Like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't want to fucking run. I don't want to. If I see anything, ghetto I'm out.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Yes.
SPEAKER_02I'm out, don't want to do it. I'm done. I don't give a shit.
SPEAKER_03It was like my mom. My mom was uh my uh my kid was fucking around today on the deck at home. Yeah. Not like nothing crazy. Yeah, he was just fucking playing around or whatever. And my mom, my mom told them like to cut it out or something. And she was a little loud. And I was like, you can't fuck around here like that. Dude.
SPEAKER_02So let me tell you.
SPEAKER_03What? What? You don't want me to be I can't be fucking loud. And I was like, no. And she was like, why? And I was like, you know why? And she was like, what do you mean? And I was like, the area that we're in. We're not in New York, we're not anywhere.
SPEAKER_02It's not the yellow.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but my mom would yell like crazy. And my neighbor.
SPEAKER_02Listen, I'm sorry, neighbor. I'll take you listen anyway. But holy shit. Yeah. That's when I said the.
SPEAKER_03But my mom is like old school, like very old school. Yeah. Like very, very old school.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, which is fine. Yeah, I'm sure she's fine.
SPEAKER_03I told her, like, no, you need to fuck him.
SPEAKER_02I think I did say this when they yelled, they kept yelling, I was like, I gotta get out of here. And when I look for a new house, I gotta see what what their kids are. Yeah, she told me, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Dude, it's nonstop. Steph was outside the patio the other day, and she's like, oh, they're outside. You know, I like to hear the kids running around and doing shit, but it's just when the yelling starts.
SPEAKER_06I'm like, oh, motherfucker.
SPEAKER_03And when I grew up, everybody was like that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we always had to get it.
SPEAKER_03Everybody was fucking like that. Yeah. But now it's more like, shut the fuck up, mind your baby. Yeah, I don't want to hear it. I'm too old. Nobody wants to hear it.
SPEAKER_02I don't want to hear your shit.
SPEAKER_03Nope.
SPEAKER_02Oh wow.
SPEAKER_03When I'm at Walmart, you know.
SPEAKER_02I don't go to Walmart anymore. I haven't been to Walmart in probably like three years.
SPEAKER_03I think that that like I go to Walmart to like obviously if I need like fucking bread or something real quick, right? Yeah. Because I live like very close to it. Um not walking distance, but like close enough. And like it's more of like, I don't want to just order all my shit from Amazon.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_03I need to like walk around a little bit, see stuff, see stuff and fucking look at the craziness at least, like a little bit. Yeah. Which is kind of like why we are police officers because we like seeing fucking crazy shit. We do. So like you go to you know, Walmart to see somebody like running out with a TV, you're like, oh fuck, that's fucking crazy.
SPEAKER_02Or just to see the Walmartians walking around.
SPEAKER_03Yes, yes, a hundred percent. You're like, oh I have it pretty good compared to these fucking people.
SPEAKER_02Fuck this shit. No, I won't even go to Waterbury Home Depot.
SPEAKER_03Really? Oh, yeah, no, I get it. I go to Water one. I wouldn't even.
SPEAKER_02Nope, I don't go there. I will drive the extra fucking 10 minutes. Go to the Newington one.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Southington. Yep. Yep. Southington, Newington.
SPEAKER_02I go there.
SPEAKER_03I love the Southington one. I'm usually there.
SPEAKER_02I think out of all the times I've been there, only one time somebody was like, hey, can you just I'll give you this uh this it was a crackhead. This white fucking no regrets.
SPEAKER_03That's all Southington is.
SPEAKER_02The fucking, yeah. Crackhead. And he's like, uh, if you just give me 50 bucks, I'll give you this thing. And right off the rip, instead of saying, No, I'm good, I was like, get the fuck away from me.
SPEAKER_01You fuck. I can't just fucking relax. Get the fuck out of here. With and it was kind of like fucked up. Unnecessary.
SPEAKER_02And then I didn't feel bad, but I was like, damn, that was unnecessary.
SPEAKER_03Dude, I was in Rhode Island driving back home from the military, and uh somebody, it was the same situation. Some fucking person at the fucking at the light walked up to me as I'm listening to music, and I'm like, I can't fucking stand you, motherfucker. I'm trying to fucking relax on my four-hour fucking drive home. And I put up my fucking fucking fuck. So what the fucking job, you're gonna make the same amount of money, you stupid fuck.
SPEAKER_02You know what? And then so I this is one time Steph goes, you just embarrassed me. So we were at a fucking, it was I don't know if it was New Haven or something. I feel really good because I can see it too. The guy's asking for money, and he starts walking to us.
SPEAKER_01Don't you walk up to this fucking car, you motherfucker. You know what the fucking problem is. I have my truck. Oh. Right? Okay. And then so I said, The problem with you motherfuckers is you asked everybody for fucking uh money and you fucking go use it on drugs, you're a fucking burden. Nobody wants to fucking sit to you, nobody wants to live around you. Why don't you get the fuck out of here? You fucking up for everybody. Get the fuck out of here, right?
SPEAKER_02And then I roll up the window a little bit, not all the way, because I didn't want to seem like, you know, yeah, like uh I was scared, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I was like, uh, but my windows are all tinted out, so I just pin that on them. I didn't give a fuck. But at the time, I was just like this. Yeah. Just so you can see my eyes and shit. And then uh stuff's like, that was so embarrassing. That was so embarrassing. One time, so I was driving my car by myself, and uh I had the gun in my holster. Like, you know, I had my you know, the uh what do you call the fucking holster just slips in pancake holster holster? And it was digging into my fucking side, so I just took it, put it on the seat. Yep. And I was driving the car with no tinted windows, the white car. I just had it on the seat. Yeah, and the fucking guy, I'm plu I'm fucking with the radio, and he starts walking up to the passenger side, and he's about to knock on the window. He looks down on the seat, he's like, I'm all set, okay. And I'm looking, I'm like, why the fuck did you want to? Oh, oh, that's his fucking funny. You look into my car, right? Yep. And the same thing. I told you about the Jehovah's Witnesses, right? That did the same thing. So when you come to my house, I might have. You come to my house, you gotta go all the way around. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. All the way in. So you're not just gonna walk up for no reason.
SPEAKER_03No, right?
SPEAKER_02So I could do whatever I want. I could clean an AR, I could clean a fucking shotgun, I could do whatever I want on my porch, nobody's gonna see it. Yeah, so I'm cleaning the fucking gun and everything. And I put it down, a little cigar, I'm relaxing, I got the radio going. Jimmy Buffett was playing.
SPEAKER_04Oh, there you go.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the Jehovah's came up and like, I'd like to talk to you about. And they're like, you know, I'm all set. You know, they see the fucking gun, they look it up and down, like, have a blessed day. I'm leaving. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I was like, what are you guys talking about?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. That's so funny, dude. Yeah. No, whatever. Whatever's. Alright.
SPEAKER_03Oh man.
SPEAKER_02Well, I say if you're gonna go luxury watch and you're gonna spend 10.
SPEAKER_03Stay straight to Rolex, is what you're saying?
SPEAKER_02It depends what you want. If if you're gonna go Omega or Grand Sega, I would try to get on a secondary market from a reputable person. Yeah, because you're gonna save three or four grand.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And it's gonna be fine. It'll have they have like the authorized fucking shit and everything, they warranty stuff. That's how I would get that. So if I want another bright link, I would get it that way. But a bright ling or an omega buying a secondary Rolex.
SPEAKER_03If you do secondary 10 grand and above, it has to be you're gonna be spending fucking double the amount sometimes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So unless you can't wait. If not, then you do the the fake wait that they do, and uh that's it. So all right, people, we're out of here later.
