The ground is shifting, and pretending it isn’t only makes the anxiety louder. After a long hiatus, we’re back to talk about what it feels like to live through a collective unraveling and why so many of us feel disoriented, angry, or strangely alone even when the “truth” seems more mainstream than ever. I name the grief under the noise and the messy reality of change, then we get practical about what actually helps.

We dig into discernment and critical thinking as essential skills for navigating polarized culture. When most online content is engineered to trigger outrage, staying human takes work: pausing, checking sources, noticing manipulation, and practicing nuance. I share why holding two truths at once is not fence-sitting, it’s maturity and it protects your nervous system from being hijacked by rage bait.

From there, we focus on internal safety and energetic hygiene as a real survival kit. We talk boundaries, when to lean in, when to step back, and how community support keeps you from carrying the collective alone. I also explain “right relationship” as a way to find balance with everything from substances to activism to belief systems, and why the third path matters if you don’t fit in spiritual dogma or science-only certainty.

If you’re craving a grounded place to think clearly, feel deeply, and still move forward, press play. Subscribe, share this with a friend, leave a review, and tell me: what helps you stay steady when the world gets loud?

Returning After The Hiatus

SPEAKER_01

All right. Here we go, fam. We're back. You know, we took a hiatus. There was some much needed integration time required to be able to present this podcast to the world in a way that was just more embodied. I created the podcast a few years ago, talked about everything I felt like I wanted to share. And then it was like it was just done. I said what I wanted to say, and that was it. Little did I know that I still had quite the journey to go on that would lead me here, that would lead us here, to a time and a place that feels like a complete 180, let's be honest. To a time and a place where everything I spoke to two years ago is relevant. The orientation has shifted, but it's relevant.

SPEAKER_00

And now I feel more than ever how needed this space is.

SPEAKER_01

And so I invite you now to join me in the space between a landing place, a middle ground, a third path, if you will, where a nuance is present, appreciated, where two truths can be present at the same time.

SPEAKER_00

Where discernment is your greatest asset, among other things. So let's get into it.

Society Shifts And Disorientation

SPEAKER_01

This feels like what might be a felt cute might delete later podcast episode, but nonetheless, here we are. The world as we know it is ending. Right? Society is crumbling. There's a shift taking place. It's palpable, it's present, it's collective. It's really disorientating, I'm not gonna lie, to be present and aware for this. For so long, I just felt like, for lack of better word, alone in the world, right? Like that a handful of us had a secret or knew the truth or what what have you. And now for it to be more common knowledge, more mainstream, is is really interesting.

SPEAKER_00

And now more than ever, certain skills that seem to have disappeared.

SPEAKER_01

I'll bet on purpose, you know, for a reason, are gonna be your biggest asset in in navigating, you know, the next decade two, moving forward, the next year, the next week, is um critical thinking skills, right? Discernment, nuance, allowing two truths to be present, realizing that most of what you see on the internet is rage bait and to divide us further, right? Not saying that some of those divisive tactics are not well founded. Um it's really hard to be on one side where compassion and empathy are present, along with critical thinking and discernment, and where there are other sides where that isn't common. There's so much shifting in this world right now. It is dying. We are in a death process.

SPEAKER_00

It is messy. It is messy.

SPEAKER_01

So how can you lead yourself through it? What do you have in your toolkit? What do you have available to you to be able to support yourself?

SPEAKER_00

Well, simultaneously recognizing the collective grief within the world, within yourselves, within your lineage. How can you see the bigger picture while also seeing what's happening in real time?

SPEAKER_01

How can you hold compassion for what's being revealed for those that do not understand for knowing that this is something that people need to go through that you yourself may need to go through.

SPEAKER_00

The death of society, the seeing through the lies.

SPEAKER_01

I mean I sometimes say that those of us that have recovered from narcissistic relationships or dysfunctional dynamics, or, you know, have taken on the cycle breaker um title, if you will, whether knowingly or unknowingly, have prepared us for this moment because people are waking up to lies, people are waking up to dysfunction, people are waking up to I can't believe this.

SPEAKER_00

And, you know, we're over here like, yeah. It sucks. I'm sorry. Welcome to the party.

SPEAKER_01

We've got snacks. Like, I see you in this. You know, it's n this is none of this is easy.

SPEAKER_00

So what I want to speak to specifically, because um I want to get to a point, is to be able to navigate this time by creating internal safety for yourself.

Internal Safety As A Survival Skill

Your Role And Community Support

SPEAKER_01

Energetic hygiene practices are going to be your survival kit, community, knowing when to lean in, knowing when to back out, the dance of discernment, of acknowledging things, and then getting back in your power. So, what are some practical takeaways? I want to remind you that everybody has a different role to play in this time. Not everyone's gonna be the boots on the ground activism activist, rather. And so knowing who you are and knowing your unique gifts and how they're going to influence this coming of times, this new world rebirthing is gonna be monumental in understanding in understanding your place, you know, and and where you can contribute, right? It's gonna help ground you in your own truth. Um, just as I was saying that, it's kind of like um uh joy comparison is a thief of joy. So like I want to do more. I I want to do more boots on the ground. I'd love to be more like this person, more like that person, but that's not what I'm here to do. And it doesn't mean that I can't still speak out about them. It doesn't mean that I can't still witness them, speak to them, all of those things. But knowing that not everybody is here to do the same thing, we need a community of individuals that can build things simultaneously together, cooperatively, is gonna be what this looks like, right? And I also want to speak to um. So essentially our goal moving forward is to is to be in right relationship with things. And this may be a little bit tangential, but I just want to offer perspective.

SPEAKER_00

The the sober trend, for lack of better word.

Finding The Third Path

SPEAKER_01

Great, fantastic, support it. I unknowingly did the same. I'm like, hmm, I haven't really drank in a long time, and it doesn't really do anything for me. And now I drink occasionally if I want to, if I don't want to, it comes from a neutral place, right? It's not I'm in right relationship with it, right? And that's what this world needs is more balance, is being in right relationship with things. This is um essentially a shamanic perspective that was introduced to me. It definitely doesn't have to be. Um it's you know, origins I'm unsure of specifically, but this was my orientation to it was being in right relationship, being an I me, being in right with yourself, with those around you, with the environment, with nature, etc., etc. So, how can you be in right relationship with the world around you? How can you be in balance with a story, a mindset shift, um, something that's being pr presented to you, right? How can you see one side and simultaneously the other? And it's interesting because I want to speak to, you know, a bit of my journey in kind of getting here when it came to navigating this nuanced space. It's funny because when I first started my journey of spirituality and being a spiritual teacher and healer and being in that room and not really knowing my role around all of this yet, I just I found this so fascinating because I worked really hard to shift the dysfunctional dynamic. You know, growing up in Southern Alberta, redneck territory, I worked really hard to remove myself from a lot of those dysfunctional dynamics conversations, albeit racist, prejudiced, sexist dynamics, misogynistic, you know, the list goes on and on and on. And then I end up in this world where the conversations are oddly similar. And the rooms are feeling very mega. But then I end up removing myself from those rooms and those spaces and those places because that doesn't feel true for me. And then I end up being in these other places where it's science only and there is no God-led intuition, North Star guidance system, take it as you will. And I don't belong there either. And I for a long time was like, where do I belong? Where's my room? Right? I sit in the spiritual, universe-guided, you know, God, for lack of better words, non-religious rooms, and it ended up being a very conservative space where nuance wasn't present. So I removed myself from those spaces to end up in, for lack of better word, very liberal spaces where science is the truth, which is not always truth, right? This again is nuance. These as both a spiritual practitioner and a nurse, I can see both sides of the coin. And and so my point in all of this is if you find your play if you find yourself saying, like, well, I I see myself in this, but then not in this, then maybe this is the place for you. This third path, this middle ground, this space between to be in right relationship with the realities that you surround yourself with or that you find yourself in, that nothing in this world is black and white. And that this is what's happening, that this is what's coming of age, is this space for nuance.

SPEAKER_00

And so I finally, after years of feeling like a fish out of water, finally feel like I have my footing.

New Rhythm And Share Request

SPEAKER_01

Like this is becoming more, for lack of better words, mainstream. And so I hope you find this space as a place where you can feel seen and validated in your experience, to allow nuance to be present, to have conversations that are going to make you think and question the world around you to be able to move forward in this world, um, holding more space, grace, and compassion for yourself as well as those around you. All right, my loves. It's been great to get back on the mic. I'm excited to share more. Um my intuitive insight into this podcast is that it will be more cyclical instead of weekly podcasts. Um, expect a couple times a month as I'm moving through things and inviting you into that shared wisdom of what the collective is revealing within ourselves as we navigate this journey. I thank you for joining me here today. Share this with your friends who may need to find themselves also in the space between.
