Hi, beautiful soul. Welcome back to Worthy and Abundant. I'm your host, Linda Brand, and I'm so grateful you're here today. Today's episode is really special because we're talking about those moments in life where something feels really big. It feels too overwhelming, too scary. Have you ever faced something that felt like a giant in your life? We all have. Something that made you feel small, like you weren't ready, like you didn't have what it takes. Maybe it's your health, your finances, your past, starting over, or even becoming the version of you that you know you are meant to be. There's a powerful story in the Bible about David and Goliath. Goliath was a giant, massive, armored, intimidating, a trained warrior. And every day he would step out and challenge the entire army. And no one would go. Everyone was afraid, even the king. And then there was David, a young shepherd boy who was not trained, not armored, not who anyone would choose to fight this giant. And he says, I'll go. And this is what I love. David didn't try to become somebody else. He didn't wear the armor. It wouldn't fit him. He used what he already had. And this is where it gets personal because we all have a Goliath, something that feels bigger than us. Your Goliath might be your fear, your self-doubt, your money situation, your health situation, your past, rejection, starting over. And you may feel exhausted. But here's the truth: your Goliath is not random. It's here to expand your vessel. It's assigned to you for your own growth. Everything's happening for us. Everything's happening for us, even if we can't see it that way. It seems hard and difficult and challenging. And that's part of life that's contrast. But it's actually expanding our vessel to receive. But David didn't have armor, he had a sling and a belief. And this is what I see so often. Women thinking they need more time, they need more money, they need more confidence, they need more validation before they can move. But what if you already have everything you need inside of you? You don't need to become someone else. You just need to remember who you are. David had faith. Everyone else was waiting to feel ready, but David had faith, and David moved first. And this is where most people stay stuck. They wait to feel confident, to feel certain, to feel ready. But courage comes first, then action. And I I want to share something so interesting. I was thinking about this podcast, David and Goliath, and I memory came out. A memory came to me about when I was at a public pool with my family as a child, and I was the youngest of three, and I was the first to jump off the diving board. And no one was going, everyone was hesitating, and I don't know what came over me, but I climbed up, held my nose, and jumped in. And of course, my sister followed me after I did it. And it's funny because I had another memory. I was showing a house yesterday, and this woman starts singing in the house. I stepped outside and she was singing the vire in the house. And I said, Wow, you have a great voice. Whatever I said, you're singing. And she said, Yeah, I like to hear the, I forgot how she said it, something about the sound. And she plays the flute. And I was like, Oh my god, I just remembered that I played the flute when I was like in middle school when we were required to play an instrument. I actually liked the flute, it was kind of cool. But anyway, these memories are showing up every single day. It's just very interesting. But I was thinking of doing this episode for you guys, and it just remembered I remembered being, I was at my pool walking by the pool after the gym, and I remembered this childhood moment when I jumped, and it just reminds me of how I've always had courage my entire life. Since I was a child, I had courage. And but you have to be willing and take action even when you're scared. I move even when I'm scared. I moved four years ago across the country with my dog to a new place. I lived in Michigan my entire life. I never lived anywhere else. I lived in the same home for 25 years, pulled in the same garage, and I moved. I sold my house and moved. I was scared, but I did it, you know? And it's been the best decision ever. And I started a new business also, and now I'm writing my book and I'm working to speak on stages and just growing, and I've been jumping in my whole life. It takes courage because we all want to belong, but the reality is you're not going to create what you want to create following the pack. You're going to create what you want to create by standing out and standing up and being you, being authentic you. And then you're giving permission to everybody else to be authentic as well. So it takes courage for sure. And that's what David had. And that's what I had. And that's what you have within you. And you have that choice. So I want to ask you what in your life is your Goliath? And what would it look like to take one step, not the whole leap, just one step? Because here's the truth. You don't need to feel ready, you don't need permission, you don't need to be fearless, you just need to be willing. You were never meant to stay on the sidelines. You were meant to jump. You were born to jump. If this episode spoke to you, that is exactly the work that I do. I help women remember who they are, step into their power, and create lives they love living. If you feel called, I'd love to support you. And if this episode touched you, share it with someone who needs to hear it. I want to invite you to my six-week transformational coaching program, Worthy the Remembering Method, which is on sale for another 24 hours. It's half price. And the link is in the show notes. And I don't think I'm going to be offering the six-week program anymore after this cohort. So feel free to jump in. You're worthy, you're deserving of a life you love living. It's available to everyone, it's here. We just have to open ourselves to receive it.
