Coming to you from the studios at the Illinois rock and roll museum on route 66. It's the rock and roll Chicago podcast Hey everybody, it's Ray the roadie and this is Hollywood Mike Mike Mike Mike. Oh, oh Whoa, I had to provide my own sound effects.
Oh, I go there. Huh? Yeah echo Yeah, I think there's something in that board that we could do that. Maybe Yeah, that too.
Yeah. Yeah, it's not the connection. There we go.
Oh, you know, I can't knock on you Mobile or what? Yeah, that's exactly what it is. Yeah, you know, there's something wrong with the free equilibrium. I think and there is yes Yeah, that's what that's what it is.
It is. Yeah, there's a little break in the free equilibrium. That's right How you guys doing free equilibrium? Hey, we're doing good happy to be here man.
There's only one of them. Oh, there they are Because just shout it out when it comes to your mind you shout it out. There you go.
There you go. So how you guys doing? Good. Yes, they're good.
So yeah, so Jake we we met gosh, it was a while ago Yeah, yeah, I was a minute ago at Matrix Club if I'm not mistaken. It was Matrix. That's right I was trying to remember where the heck it was that that we met you guys were on Stages kind of doing your thing a very slow Wednesday.
Yeah. Yeah, you know what? That's the thing about that play I love the club I love it the fact that there's a sound guy and there's a real stage and the video monitor and everything Oh, yeah back there, but you know like during the week it can be a little slow and it's everywhere though, too Yeah, but in the place is huge So, I mean there could be there could be 50 people in the place and there doesn't look like there's anybody there Big place, but I love that you guys did man it there was we were there Talking to the folks that booked the place and you guys were on stage performing there so we were just hanging out and drinking and having a good time and Thought you guys were great and said hey, you got to come on the show and I'm glad you accepted the invitation Hey, thank you very much. So well, thanks for coming.
Good night. Yeah So tell us so tell us about this when did so how did this all start and come about man? I mean, we've obviously me and Luke over here the other long-haired hippie in the room. We're brothers Our father was also a musician so he taught us a lot of what we know today and We've known Brian basically our whole life to his guitar teacher and our father.
We're in a band together Oh, wow. Wow, so it truly is a family affair. Yeah, it is a family affair Yeah, and where are you guys from originally? We're from Willow Springs and Bayless, okay, so right down the street.
Oh, yeah. So when did this whole musical journey start for you guys? I mean, let's just kind of talk about that for a little bit. When did you wake up? What was the morning and you said hey, man, I'm gonna play guitar Oh, man, I always knew I wanted to play guitar ever since I was a kid watching You know my old man and his band on stage watching him play with him Brian.
I was like, man That guy's good at guitar. I wish I was good at guitar or something, you know So I used to play baseball and sports and stuff like that and then you know kind of fell off in the middle of high School, I was like, it's gotta be something else. So guitar, you know guitar music started a band started writing tunes Yeah, we should have us we should have a jar like a set of a square jar We we should have a jar every time a musician says, you know, I started off.
I was an athlete man I was a wrestler. I was playing football And you know and I guess you know didn't like it anymore, you know in middle of high school done with it We hear that all the time there's a strong connection between sucking at sports Yeah, there definitely is okay what so about what time was it was that was like high school for you or yeah I mean I graduated in 2016. So it's probably like 2014 ish, you know when I started really playing seriously and trying to get gigs on my own, you know Doing solo acoustic stuff and then Luke played bass, you know pretty much his whole life So shortly thereafter he just started joining me.
Yeah and out of high school We started, you know getting a little more serious finding some more serious players and we were able to get with this group of guys and we needed a Guitarist and I knew exactly who to call man. Yeah. Yeah, who's older? He's oldest.
Okay. Well, I'm second. Okay, you're second.
Okay. All right. Yeah So you just kind of went the little brother and say hey playing big.
Hey, no, that's exactly how it happened, too guitars and then I Started playing for real and I was like I need a bassist. You got it. You got to get rid of your guitar guitar How's that into guitar? See but now he's good I was like eight years old But I was like, you know guitar not for me Decided to trade it in for a bass and just like fell in love with it Immediately never looked back to guitar except for a little bit except for all the time lately.
Yeah Well, you know what they say the bass player in the band is usually the shittiest guitar player Plus it's two less strings. It is it is to worry about. Yeah.
Yeah, that's why I sucked at it Cuz my there's not enough strings for my ADHD You know, I keep looking for other strings on it, but no I Because I was in that situation. I walked into a band rehearsal one time I was like I was like 18 years old and the bass player quit and the guitar player had a bass hanging on his wall So instead of taking the bass for himself, he gave me the bass and said here you're playing bass now That's the way it was. It's a good strategy.
I was also the singer in the band, too So I said, you know, we're done with nope. We're done with that. I'm tired of trying to do this, you know Yeah, it's so hard.
I don't know how you do it Luke singing It's like singing and playing drums. Yeah, who does that? I don't know. Oh, and what do you do in the band? Your lead guitar.
Okay lead guitar lead guitar. Wow. That's very sensual Brian Now you guys have a drummer or is it just the three of you? So it's just a three of us as of right now We've had a couple drummers in the past, but nothing has really stuck We actually just played a show over at a chop shop in what town it was Wicker Park in the city Opening up for a guy named Mahali from a band a jam band called twiddle and we needed a drummer real bad So our dad actually filled in for us Really a family affair that night.
But uh, yeah, we've had a couple different dudes right go like this Yeah, you know, there's your drummer Christy on the drums. That's how you put everything together, right? You know Little brother your bass. Yeah, that's good.
That's good. You know, I listened to a lot of your to a lot of stuff online You got some unique Songs now you do you do a lot of original music? Yeah exclusively. Yeah, it is That's what I that's what I thought it was almost all original stuff.
Who's the main writer? Um, Alright most of them, but we like to collaborate especially lately I feel like the songs just get a lot thicker in substance if you will when we all collaborate, okay Thicker in substance. I don't think that's ever been said on the show. Hey, you know what? No, I don't think so That's the name of your that's the name of your next album.
Thank you. Yeah, it's a rock and roll podcast Exclusive. Yeah, I mean we've we've been doing this for a few minutes now And I think their music is so incredibly unique I think it's more important that you hear some music then for us to just chit-chat about making baby brother play bass Okay, why don't we take a break here quick break so they can get their gear yeah, we'll be right back You're listening to the rock and roll Chicago podcast Hey, it's Ray and Mike and we got some great information for you Yeah, we just wanted to remind you about the fundraiser for the Illinois rock and roll museum on route 66 Which is taking place on October 27th at the Renaissance Center in downtown Joliet You'll be able to get tickets at Cadillac groove shows if you see Mike or myself somewhere will have tickets you can get them at Museum, they're only $5 also at Cadillac groove comm you will be able to Purchase them online as well.

Is there joy within your shame? Take a shortcut skip the bad luck.
Are you blind or are your eyes shut? I just know that you're still choking all the stuff that i've been smoking And you're so far away From the love you've been missing still you're so far away From the love that you got From the love that you got Holy shit the harmonies Wow, that's pretty impressive, man Hey, thank you They brought their fan club with them they did. Oh, yeah I gotta spend nothing i'm not gonna spin this thing around because the thing's broken. No I'm just i'm just thinking that's not even your good side.
It's not but Nobody wants me to put this by my ass. No What the heck there it ah, there it is, there you go now you can talk it's all turned around Yeah, you're all you guys I can tell you guys work. You guys spend a long time working on harmonies Don't you you have to we sure do? Oh, yeah I mean like more than Playing the music sometimes at certain points.
Yeah, it can kind of be I mean, I mean their harmonies The harmonies had I mean Had that resonance Yeah, you know Everybody was on pitch. Yep Exactly. Thank you very much.
So what was the inspiration for that song? um You know exactly what it sounds like Just a really shitty relationship. Yeah, you know I don't know. I wrote it with luke He could probably speak on it and just having a bad time just having a real bad time and a rough go of it I have to be honest when I heard the first couple of lines of that song I was like, I hope they really get into this like, you know Let's find a body in the basement You know It's like you brought it to that point perfectly right and then it's like okay now let's just turn it into a You know a nicer kind of a song, but I love the way the whole thing So How long have you been kind of? Like I guess writing music together.
I mean when you when you guys first started out Was it original or were you doing covers or when did you start on it? It was always our intention to do like original stuff That was the main deal because i've been doing covers basically my entire life since I was like 15 So it was uh, it was a welcome change to do something a little different, right? Right, you know and try and write some of my own stuff that could maybe invoke the same emotions As some of those covers I guess would be a good way to put it, you know, right, right So what kind of what bands were you in prior to putting this project together? Oh, man at the time when we started this right before I was really really into jam music and like the grateful dead and stuff like that Definitely definitely big into fish Yeah, who he's always been the most eclectic one. Luke is always really listen to a lot of just a little bit of everything Okay I mean shortly after starting it luke and I went on like a huge frank zappa. Oh, yeah He's definitely my favorite to this day.
Really? Wow. Absolutely. Yeah, but yeah do the acoustic cover of uncle remus all the time Yeah, yeah, because when I first saw you guys, I you know, I was like you I wasn't expecting the music that was coming from you Thank you.
I mean always this is not the first time we've heard that what kind of music do we look like we would play? Metal. Yeah, right. Yeah, I think so too.
Yeah, he's got the nose ring for it. You know, it's very metal I mean those are handy for leading them around telling me You stand over there, you know Hook a chain to and whatever gosh that looks painful. It it did not feel nice, but I think it looks pretty cool Why why'd you do it? I thought it looked would look pretty cool Man, it worked.
I wanted I understood that That's that's like, you know, i'm gonna go stand against that wall You run full speed and come and kick me in the nuts, you know, i'm just gonna volunteer for that I remember a day after you got it. We were out for breakfast and you were eating your food tearing up Oh, he's just rubbing on you rubbing against my nose Definitely hurt for a couple months after the fact that's just gross It's not fun like I got the thicker one too, I got it pierced at that thickness So they just punched a hole out of my nose more or less You didn't know that See i'm the kind of person that I would have just like did something like you know Like you're out eating or whatever you get something go to the bathroom I would have jumped just dumped like all kinds of hot sauce on his burger Comes back and takes a bite and doing his nose starts running Oh, he's healing from a brand new piercing Something You guys need to write a song about that. All right.
Yeah, that's a good topic. Yeah So what about what about your background? What about uh, you know the things that influenced you the most? oh none of the good stuff all very very mtv kind of music stuff growing up, but um For a while. I was uh doing jazz going to community college and kind of got centered with that So got a lot more familiar with like west montgomery chick, korea and herbie hancock and all the different like so I figured like hey, you know, I like all this glam metal stuff like those thrash kind of thing I like the grunge thing and uh, you know Let's try to mix it all together and put whatever we like into so yeah, that's kind of where it comes for me I think interesting and how old are you? I'm 27 27.
Okay Well, you know, I I was actually expecting you to say something younger because he doesn't look 27. No, no Yeah, I was gonna say I was gonna I was thinking like 21 or 22, but I guess that makes it But I guess But I guess that makes a little more I guess that makes a little more sense with the with the influences and stuff that Yeah that you just talked about and everything. Definitely.
Yeah. Okay. Excellent.
Well, it seems to be working. What's your favorite song? Of all time or of ours just of yours Yeah I don't know. I think the storm is my storm has kind of become We were talking about that.
Yeah, luke and I were really geeking out over this. That's one of my favorite tunes I think just the way it came together in the studio, too We weren't like certain about recording it. We were just kind of we had some extra time we were doing it in our garage Never played it live ever.
Yeah We had played it together maybe three times before that and we were like, let's give it a go So what so what's it about? Tell us the story of the song. I Yeah, I guess I wrote it about how When you go through difficult things sometime in life because the chorus is Even after the storm has passed you're still in it so And the verse has a lot of lines on it starts, uh, she can get by all on her own You see the love in her eyes, but a heart made of stone every night every night You're thinking of leaving believing in lies, but knowing in time that all love is fleeting So it's just it's it's just about it's just about being sad. I mean at the end of the day, you know It's about how things are looking good for you.
I mean That's true, he's got his girlfriend here in the studio everybody now we got a love song The things are looking up things are looking Things have gotten way better. It's all been writing much cheerier songs. That's exactly what it is.
That's exactly what it is Yes, I understand that completely. Yeah, but I'm gonna go back to that even after the storm has passed. You're still in it.
That is fucking trippy, right? All right, that is so here's the storm. Yeah, let's hear the storm. Oh, man Are we playing? We can't play that one.
Nobody knows it for me. Oh, okay. Really figure it out, baby.
I don't know I can't do it I just asked you what your favorite song was. How could you doesn't mean they can play it? How do you name a song that you can't play? We recorded it. We recorded it Oh, we haven't played it since we haven't played a lot.
Really? Yeah. No, we could send you the spotify I don't want to put that on there Well, I guess we're gonna have to we're gonna have to tell that well paulie can hear this. Yeah We can we can find that find the storm paulie.
Yeah, and then put it on this thing when it comes out Even after the storm has passed You're still in it How long can a good thing last Until it's finished Find what you're worth give all that you have The storm is passing You're still all right. So then what's your favorite song that you can all play here? Oh, oh, man. There you go Oh, see, I I'm, sorry.
I should have asked Yes, my bad, i'm sorry. Oh, you're good. Yeah Uh, I really dig lately.
We've been playing this song that's unrecorded. Uh, I wrote it during covet It's called it's called 22 is slipping away. Oh, yeah Uh, and it's just about how you know right before covid it felt like everything was coming up You know, we were playing a lot of shows doing a lot of stuff and then, you know, the pandemic happened And the world just stopped and everything just stopped and it felt like you know, time was really slipping away from me So the song is called 22 is slipping away, you know based on that.
Yeah, let's do it. Yeah Let's hear it. You're listening to the rock and roll chicago podcast I feel so close ain't never been so far And I don't know just how long I can stay hanging out trying to carry the weight Is And you forgo all creative notions at the behest of your degree and I know I know you get around But it's only the same old streets in the same old town And it feels like 22 is slipping away Just feels like 22 Is You're always a slave to what happens next Is I think I love that one.
Hey, that was real nice. That was a fantastic song That's john mayer called you and tried to get a season what I was gonna say John mayer walked in. Yeah, that totally had that vibe to it People have obviously said that before i'm assuming, huh? A little bit a little bit.
Yeah From time to time. I wish john mayer would call me Yeah, yeah, can you imagine you need an opener if you didn't hear that guys need john mayer if you're out there Do you need an opener? Yeah I have a thought but I could but I will talk about it afterwards actually sure we might be able to make that happen Oh Oh Very interesting. I haven't talked.
I haven't even told you about that. Yeah, you don't tell me much anymore This is this it's a new development. But anyways, I see.
Yeah. Yeah, so when it comes to writing Lyrics or melody first. Um, usually for me It's a little bit of both like if I can hum if I can think of some cool lyrics like while i'm driving in the car Or something like that.
I'll usually write them down and then put a melody to them But a lot of times especially lately i'll make up some chords and then kind of hum along and try and you know Get some lyrics that sound cool in there first first and foremost, you know, I was very inspired by that I'm sure every songwriter that's watched it has been inspired by that beatles documentary that came out Like what was it get back or something? Yeah Where you watch them kind of kind of uh craft their songs and they're writing, you know one of the most beautiful love songs ever written something and uh The lyrics were like attracts me like a cauliflower pomegranate or something, you know And they're just kind of throwing words in there that are the right amount of syllables But you know you get the vibe of the song so that that seems to be the best way to do it To me at least you go back and edit yourself later. You just put you're just putting filler syllables in there The real important thing is really to just put pen to paper and to do it and then you know You could clean it up at a later time or write something completely different and scrap it which is you know, always a go-to So how often do you write? Um, I try to have my I try and stay in that headspace as much as I can but lately I haven't been sitting down and writing as much as i'd like to like usually If we're not recording which we've been recording and trying to get masters and mixes done lately So it's just been a really busy time I usually try and sit down a couple times a week and just try and write something whether it be Just like an instrumental thing or musically or some lyrics or something Just sit down and get in that headspace a couple times a week. Ideally i'd love to do it every day But you know, sometimes it doesn't work out that way The most of the songs you're performing.
So The songs are originating with you. Yeah, most of the time the ones that we've played so far. Yeah, absolutely And have you guys contributed anything where you've come up with the song and brought it? Yeah 100 percent you guys have have done that before.
Yeah, he actually has uh, our top song on spotify. He wrote most of that 25,000 plays. Oh, yeah You guys will be getting a royalty check for like 35 cents pretty soon.
Yeah We can go get ourselves a candy bar at speedway. Yeah I don't know what speedway you go to They were 35 cents in 1982, there we go Okay, so what's this song on spotify, uh, that one's called lemon haze lemon haze yes, okay Is it another uh, you know sappy had a horrible relationship song or is it something not quite? No, I don't that song's not necessarily about anything. It definitely it originated because I remember you had the the part He had this really interesting, uh, like guitar part that was in seven Yeah, and we couldn't really think of any words to it.
And I think I started that. Yeah You wrote like the first part of the first verse and I mean if if you don't know lemon haze is a strain of weed Yeah, so that's that's what I was. That's kind of what I was figuring it originated with uh Me sitting in uh, the dining room of the house.
I was living in at the time just messing with those chords and looking at Uh, you know I was looking at a jar of lemon haze, uh, and he was looking he was Looking looking at a jar of lemon haze and it was like it was like lemon haze brighter than the sun and then that was the first line in the song and he just really took it from after that first verse and Immediately wrote the rest of it in like under a day. It happened real quick It happened in in english class when I was in high school still senior year english class wrote lemon haze Well, that's what you're supposed to be learning and how to write and stuff. Yeah He must have picked something up in there for sure.
I guess I just suddenly felt really old. Did you you know? Because you said you graduated in 2016. Yeah And when did you graduate 2019 2019, oh my gosh, I just suddenly felt really old I didn't realize they required people to graduate from high school since 1985 or something Okay, we won't even go back to when I did.
Yeah But can you remember that far back? Somewhat it was the 70s were kind of hazy to me. Yeah Well, I think we need to hear a little bit of lemon haze Absolutely. Yeah, I think we need to hear a little bit of lemonade Gotta look at it a little bit I'm christy from crime cave podcast I've had a huge interest in true crime since my days of watching marathons have snapped back in the mid 90s I needed an outlet to talk about the cases that have haunted me for a very long time With each episode under 20 minutes.
I shine a light on some of the most bizarre cases in the last 50 years Join me in the crime cave Hi, i'm rick anthody I'd like to thank my radio brothers ray the roadie and hollywood mike for allowing me to tell you about my podcast The someone you should know podcast we spotlight musicians authors and interesting people and we like to say we're making a difference one artist At a time the podcast is heard twice a week on mondays and thursdays and you can check it out on your favorite streaming platforms And on the web at someone you should know podcast.com That's the someone you should know podcast with me rick anthody making a difference one artist at a time Me I see the light at the end of the road Yeah I'm not sure Is Get by So Seasons change I tell a lie. I'm not sure. I understand.
Could you just say I do Seasons change I'm not sure Your number one song on spotify Wow, that's awesome. I I've I've I love everything you guys have played. Yeah so far here.
That's fantastic Wow, thank you very much. Unbelievable. How many downloads? Oh, it's got like 25 25 000 plays nice.
Yeah. Yeah, not bad Not too shabby. I I love I love your guitar work on that song by the way It is such a trippy sounding song and then what you're playing over there is almost like a a dream sequence In like a like a fantasy movie.
Thank you inspired by something Yeah, it was inspired by probably one of my favorite bands of all time radiohead. Okay. Yeah, very uh, johnny greenwood if you will um, there's a song that they've got off of okay computer called, um, let down and um There's a weird little song a little part that they've got in there I think it's an a or whatever but it's in 11 or some no, no five or something So it's like oh that's really fucking cool like I'd love to use that so yeah But I was like, I know it doesn't fit for that It was like trying to find a way to make a little bit more malleable what the song is Yeah So Yeah It's kind of nice.
It's like it almost You think it might be sweet and then it turns a little sinister and I like that a little bit, you know Oh, and I was just about to say while While you guys were playing the song And I was hearing that it sounded like a dream sequence like i've got visions of Marshmallows and unicorns and stuff and now I just heard that by itself and it's like a horror film the killer's sneaking in Quite dissonant sometimes. Yeah. Wow.
Very interesting. That's that's that's that's pretty cool. That's pretty cool.
So Um, what do you guys have coming up? Um, like toward the end of june What do you guys have coming up as far as show dates and stuff like that end of june? I don't think we have any show dates at end of june. We're trying to get up to detroit I think at some point in june, but mostly we're gonna release our new ep in may so that'll be out probably when this comes out right as a Four new tunes on it. So hopefully we'll be getting that out around may what's it called? Uh leech dp's called leech leech leech.
Yeah Okay. Uh, yeah, we found a cool picture of a leech That's what inspired that Yeah It's the simple things that inspire these guys. Yeah, and it's and and there's four songs that will really stick to you.
Yeah Exactly. I mean our last dp, uh, that's his that's his talent by the way. I like the dad jokes.
Yeah That's his talent. Yeah that and the glockenspiel the glockenspiel. Yeah, i'm still trying to find a band with a glockenspiel That was actually on our eb.
Yeah, we had a little Wait a minute, there's glockenspiel on it. Where are you going? Yeah at the end of a song called where are you going on our current ep called cryptid there's glockenspiel on there We couldn't find any mallets and he played the glockenspiel part looped it with two big lighters Instead of mallets We we have drumsticks didn't have the right attack. Yeah, I know that we need a little All right, we got to get a copy of that paulie.
We got to put that. Yeah, we got to find that We got to get the glockenspiel sound. What song was it? Where are you going off the ep called cryptid? It's the same one as the storm.
It's it's that's it. That's awesome So what's going on in detroit you guys said you're trying to get to detroit Some kind of show my buddy lives out there actually and uh, You know, we we had had a couple different offers to go out that way But we're always trying to string together a couple, you know So we're not just going out to one place that's far away and then driving right home So we're working on that right now, you know, it's in it's in the books. Yeah Well, if you're if you're heading out that way Ann arbor is a fantastic music town Ann arbor is only about 40 to 45 minutes away from detroit So I go there I go there for business quite often I stay in ann arbor and I drive into detroit because the hotels aren't as expensive and ann arbor is a great little town It's kind of like naperville where you can you can park in a public parking garage and walk to like 12 different music menus And it's a really cool place.
Um, wow, are you guys familiar? Where do you guys come in from? Where do you live? Uh, willow springs. Oh, that's right. You said that are you familiar with downtown lockport at all? Yeah a little bit Okay, so there so there's a theater right in downtown lockport called the roxy.
Oh, yeah, and ann arbor michigan is the same way It's a bunch of bars restaurants music venues And then there's this old music theater right in the middle of the of the block and I don't care It could be wednesday, you know wednesday evening or whatever and there's live music all over the place So if you guys are heading to detroit go check out some places in ann arbor You guys would you guys would do extremely well there We gotta we gotta find a drummer first No, I mean no man you guys just go and perform the way you are right now Yeah, it's a college town and you know a bunch of coffee shop type kind of things I think I think they'd eat you up out there in ann arbor. So you guys should check that out for sure Yeah, totally free espresso Yeah, no release party or anything for the album. Um, nothing on the books so far now Probably at some point but and no dates no dates in june or anything.
We're just kind of nothing We're just putting it together We're trying to release like uh, like a lot more music and build a little bit of an online presence as well Yeah, because we figure you know We were playing a lot before covid like an awful lot and we were picking up a little bit of traction But not as much as you really can just by you know, I think jack white said it on a different podcast He's like you're almost better off posting a video of yourself playing online than you are going down the street to your local venue because who's really going to be there Looking for original tunes that they want to hear, you know Yeah, yeah that that is the sad state of affairs. Yeah Yeah, and of the major markets I hate to say it but chicago is probably the worst. Yeah, it is not uh, not ideal Yeah, yeah, it's you know, um, I get to travel the country and you know, you go to los angeles There's live music go to nashville.
There's live music go to new york. There's live music. Do they want live music? Not really, but it's still it's still better than chicago and most of the venues in chicago I mean they want the same bands playing the same cover songs over and over again It's really hard to find places that want original music Oh, yeah I like to say the farther away that you get from the actual north side of the city of chicago the more everybody wants to hear tennessee whiskey Mike's favorite song If I ever hear it ever again in life, it would be too soon.
Oh, yeah And it's just uh, it's just it's just that eddie james song. Yeah, i'd rather go blind Our dog is named after eddie james. We're big eddie james fans.
Oh, really? Yeah. Yeah But he doesn't hide that he doesn't hide that fact I've even seen an interview with him and where he says that he's all I did was take an eddie james Lyrics. Yeah, but I mean that's blues.
I mean, there's totally there's a thousand songs that have that same exact chord progression 100 yeah. Yeah. So when this ep comes out, uh, well, it'll already be out Where can uh people find it spotify apple music, uh, Amazon music pretty much anywhere where you can listen to music.
I think pandora probably probably title will ship you one in the mail Yeah, yeah, deezer Yeah, nice. Nice. Yeah, buy their uh, buy their ep everybody.
They need money for piercings and and more uh, more lemon Please Yeah, so you guys got a website facebook presence, which oh, we're on instagram just at free equilibrium on instagram and on facebook And then obviously youtube right youtube. Yeah, we're on youtube just for equilibrium We're the only free equilibrium around really if you could successfully spell it right you will find us And who came up with his name, um, it was kind of just a conglomeration of all of us, you know I think one of our buddies was actually in the room at the time and he pitched it and we were like Yeah, it's perfect. You know, it's at the very beginning.
We didn't think we'd be Be here six years later. No, I thought never crossed our mind to be honest No, we were like it's just cool in the moment. You're just jamming just smoking some lemon haze.

Have some lemon haze and introduce the band. No I mean their harmonies are just spot on man They're really really good and their songwriting was so impressive Very you can tell that they have put so much thought into putting those songs together. Yep Yep, I mean like you said lead guitar was sounding like a little hypnotic a little Mean sounding yeah, it's it's amazing and you hear all this you hear, you know, you listen you hear every one of them What they're playing? and you know The amazing thing was I didn't have to eq them very much at all I was watching the levels want to be able to hear everybody, you know I was here working the faders that you know Turn it up so you can hear the lead guitar when he's playing his solo and stuff But they just sounded great if I didn't touch anything here, right? They just sounded great, right? They I was very very impressed when I and when I saw them, you know The thought that went through my head was these guys shouldn't be here On a wednesday or whenever it was.
I believe it was a wednesday These guys shouldn't be here on a wednesday, right? Because who are you going to get to go out to a to a big club on a wednesday? there was they were playing for a crowd of about eight people maybe and uh, and and or 12 a few and counted us and the only reason we were there is because we were talking to the person that books the place and And and doing their podcast and all the man there they need to be playing in front of a lot of people They were really talented. Yeah, they do. They do.
They need to get out there get do some festivals and right, right somebody's a Lollapalooza or something, you know as a side act or something. Oh, yeah, that's true. You know, that's true that but uh, It was a lot of fun.
