Rewind to 1984
It is the 40-year anniversary of my favorite year for music, movies, and entertainment 1984. I'll take a weekly look at what the charts looked back at this week in 1984 and discuss them.
Rewind to 1984
Episode 41 - Second Week of October, 1984
This week on Rewind to 1984, we’re diving into the Billboard charts for 2024, where—unfortunately—there's not much movement in the Top 10. Will Shaboozey's "Tipsy" stay perched at #1 for an 12th straight week, or can Lady Gaga move to the top? One thing’s for sure—I'm hoping for a shakeup. Sorry Shaboozey, but 13 weeks at #1 is crazy!
Back in 1984, the competition was just as fierce. Does Prince hold onto his royal position at the #1 spot again with "Let's Go Crazy" or does Stevie Wonder see his way to #1.
1984 Extra: Survivor - "I Can't Hold Back"
Artist Spotlight: Stevie Wonder
Moving to the movie scene in 2024, can the Joker sequel laugh its way to the top again or does the new horror flick "Terrifier 3" scare it out of the way?
And of course, we’ll rewind back to 1984, where "Teachers" from Nick Nolte was #1 last week, can it hold on? Wow Teachers had it hard in 1984, and even worse with social media in 2024.
Tune in for a fun ride through the charts—then and now—only on Rewind to 1984!
