Rewind to 1984
It is the 40-year anniversary of my favorite year for music, movies, and entertainment 1984. I'll take a weekly look at what the charts looked back at this week in 1984 and discuss them.
Rewind to 1984
Episode 44 - First Week of November, 1984
This week on Rewind to 1984, we’re diving into the Billboard charts for 2024, Will Shaboozey's "Tipsy" stay perched at #1 for a 16th straight week, or can Morgan Wallen finally move Shaboozey out of the #1 spot? One thing’s for sure—I'm hoping for a shakeup. Sorry Shaboozey, but 16 weeks at #1 is insane and shows of the lack of music in 2024.
Back in 1984, the competition was just as fierce. Does Billy Ocean ride the throne to #1 with "Caribbean Queen", or does Stevie Wonder hold on with "I Just Called to Say I Love You".
1984 Extra: Huey Lewis & The News - "Walking On A Thin Line"
Artist Spotlight: Billy Ocean
Moving to the movies, is the new Tom Hanks and Robin Wright movie "Here" going to have "Forrest Gump" like success? Are movie goers bitten by Venom: The Last Dance again for a second straight week at #1?
And of course, we’ll rewind back to 1984, where "The Terminator is going to be hunting for the #1 spot again. Is there any new movies that want to challenge Arnold?
Tune in for a fun ride through the charts—then and now—only on Rewind to 1984!
