Nate Wooley is one of the most in-demand, first-call trumpet players in the East Coast jazz, improvisation and new music scenes. Hailing from the great Pacific Northwest and now residing in Brooklyn, Nate's playing incorporates the spaces and sounds of nature, and the malleable sentence structure of the spoken word more than the experience of overcrowded city life. He has played with Anthony Braxton, John Zorn, Dave Douglass, Wadada Leo Smith, Mary Halverson, Matthew Shipp and Ava Mendosa, to name just a few.
