This is simply a place where I can talk about what I love, and that's the Bible, theology, culture, and history.
This podcast is a mix of sermons, teachings, & some conversations with friends. If anything you’ve heard has illuminated something from scripture, challenged you intellectually, or simply encouraged you or someone you know, please let us know. Give us a like, subscribe and rate the podcast!

#17 The Kingdom Code: Two Cities, Two Kingdoms

This is the first week of a teachings series I began in 2024 for the young adults ministry of our church: Kingdom Young Adults.
This week launches into the series and explores the idea of Augustine's two city thesis in one of the most influential books since the Bible was canonized, the City of God.
We began this teaching series entitled "The Kingdom Code" after a sense that what was missing in the young adult Christian landscape of modern American Christianity and specifically our own, was not so much the desire for Spirit-filled awakening and experience, but a deep abiding knowledge of the core foundational doctrines of our faith and a respectful attitude towards learning the tradition that came before us.
So "The Kingdom Code" is just that: 25 weeks of the core doctrinal beliefs that have carried the church since its inception. We'll be talking about doctrine, creation, scripture, salvation, sin, hell and eternity, and we'll talk about it together.
We can't wait to hear what you think, so please connect on social media at @swteachingpod or if you'd like to listen to this on it's home podcast, check out @kingdom_youngadultsnj or our Kingdom Young Adults podcast, here on Spotify.
Be blessed, and we pray that this teaching helps you Encounter Jesus and Counter the Culture.
