Dr. Tennille Webb, a Board-certified Pediatric Nephrologist, is our featured guest in this episode of Voices For a Healthy Legacy. Tune is as she discusses taking care of kids and kidneys.
Dr. Tennille's Bio:
Tennille N. Webb, MD, MSPH is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham/Children’s of Alabama. She is also the assistant director of the Pediatric and Infant Center for Acute Nephrology (PICAN) at Children’s
of Alabama.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Tuskegee University and Doctorate of Medicine from Morehouse School of Medicine. She received her Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) in Clinical and Translational Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
She completed her pediatric residency at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL, and her pediatric nephrology fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She completed an additional fellowship in acute care nephrology at the Center for Acute Care Nephrology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Her mentorship and exposure at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital solidified her desire to pursue clinical research in acute kidney injury, particularly in critically ill children.
Dr. Webb is married to Brandon Humphries, her college sweetheart. They are the proud parents of two lovely children; 7-year-old daughter Onyx and 3-year-old son Satchel. She enjoys dancing and spending time with family and friends.
