So just give us a little bit on you growing up in North Philly and your area and all that, and how was things growing up for you?
Speaker 6:I ain't going to lie. I grew up, I got strict Muslim parents. I got strict Muslim parents so it was like all right, I live in my neighborhood all my life. But the neighborhood schools, they wasn't sending us to neighborhood schools, like I was going to private Muslim schools out in Montgomery County. Like I'm getting on a bus every morning Like my parents like they strict Muslim no-transcript.
Speaker 6:And then in my hair you need to pray, like my dad he'd type. Like he'd type, he'd tell me like even with this music shit like just don't this. Like you, you getting money, you going up for me like, handle your business like don't diss. Like you getting money, you growing up, feel me Like, handle your business Like don't like diss, don't do no weird shit Like I don't know they support me, they support me, I ain't going out. I got good parents.
Speaker 6:Like growing up like I wasn't outside as much. So when I first started coming outside, motherfuckers like excuse my language too when she come from, where this little girl come from I just was doing anything Outside every day, taking pictures on random blocks. I was getting judged. No funny, I ain't going to lie no funny.
Speaker 6:But then, yeah, I got into high school, graduated high school, I don't know. I feel like people were saying my name. I used to be on Instagram getting judged, doing real stuff, and all that. People were saying my name Bad, getting dressed, doing little stuff. People were saying my name like bad, good rumors, all that. And now I'm 19. This is probably happened when I was like 14. I started running my movie. I was just outside, but now, like I don't know, like even the music though the music though, like I just took the music and wanted to channel the attention.
Speaker 3:And it's something that was going to be paid. Wait, wait, wait. Before you go there, ring on speed where you going to be, yeah, where he goes. So look, okay, the upbringing was real strict, strict, strict parents, muslim parents, muslim parents, islam.
Speaker 4:But they also support her, you know and I and I think that's dope yeah because, because, like, because, like, we are muslims, so it's good to have your faith and and have, hey, uh, yeah, uh, yeah, your life um vertical with allah. You know what I'm saying. So I it's like very important and it's great that they pushed you and pushed it, get you to understand that, with even the music and all that around you, it's lamb, it's lamb, so that's good. But then they support you your dream as well, because growing up in my era, our parents would probably shot it down. You know what I mean Get a job, go to school, know what I mean. So, like, by them supporting it, that probably gave you like, the confidence of like, oh, maybe I can do this. Know what I mean. Early on, early on, yeah.
Speaker 6:But I ain't going to lie, though, I'm just now gaining my mom's support, like on the music tip, because it just was like it's not really what she liked, it's not really what she wanted. But now that she sees like I'm really doing stuff with it, like I'm not just going outside telling her I'm going to the studio, like she see, like yeah, I'm going to interviews. I'm. You know people want me to come do photos.
Speaker 6:She's like it, like she's saying I'm being productive with it so it's like okay, like I see you really doing what you want to do, what you're supposed to do.
Speaker 4:Yeah, yeah, my mom, because because it's actually two sides. It's actually two sides of it, because it is the side of the music business where you could be like hot and you bullshit, and then it could be like you hot and you productive, and that's the, and that's where I see you at and that's good, especially like having it early on because, like where I see you going, you going to need it. So, with you being 14 and being popular, I'm going to say what kind of music was in your era at the time, or what kind of music did you grow up to like? What was your favorite music?
Speaker 6:yeah, I think there was that, like we go heavy, we'll get like different, different niggas and all that like that was long, yeah, that era, okay, that's, that's kind of fire.
Speaker 4:Because, like your style is, um, it's a little different. Because it's a little different Like you rap, different from every female in the city. Yeah, like what made you, early on, say you wanted to stand out in that way, like what made you tell yourself like all right, I'm going to try this and when I do try it, I'm going to do it this way.
Speaker 6:Right, I mean well, I think, because I used to bid, like I used to bid and and like, make little raps and stuff. And then people used to tell me like no, dude, I used to play, though I was. It was a joke to me, I ain't gonna lie, it was fun it was fun but then what happened?
Speaker 6:I think I got in the studio. I was around one of my friends and he heard me. Like he heard me, he was rapping in the car. No, he took me to the stooge but I was procrastinating like he. He set up three different sessions. I didn't go. I finally got in the stooge, went to 524, I made 2024. I shoot, shot the video the next day and I didn't want my. It was with me how old was you? I was 18.
Speaker 4:okay, so this is last year, yeah no, yeah, yeah yeah, okay so look I don't, I ain't want, that's crazy, but it's like.
Speaker 3:I kind of a year ago All this, but I'm trying to say, like I got.
Speaker 4:I could kind of understand it because, like you, only 19, like she really just started and it's like it's just happening fast. That's what it is.
Speaker 3:No, but she did know, no, that's the real. But it started off as a bid and it is growing. You know what I'm messing around. But it started off as a bid and it's growing. You know what I'm saying. And she's also not playing with it Like you see her doing interviews. She's moving around, she's working. She's dropping For you to say that you just started last year you killing these niggas. It is.
Speaker 4:Because it's like what you doing I watch some rappers do for 10 or 20 years. Like seriously, that's crazy. So when everything happening so fast, right, like all. Right, let me go back, rico, have it, sloan we could walk down the year real quick yeah no, listen. So when you, when you listening to them right, they, the, they the music in your headphone at the time yeah but your style was completely different from theirs a little bit. It's still unorthodox, but it's different from theirs. How you craft it, how you go about crafting your style.
Speaker 6:No, I ain't gonna lie, I don't really got. No, I wouldn't say inspiration for me to just rap. I get in my bag like every time I go to the studio. I used to be mad in the studio like that was they used to be how I read, where I'd be able to leave a check down.
Speaker 4:Like I get my bag about something I was arguing with somebody earlier and now I pop my later on, like that's what I used to do right but no, like I really I really wouldn't compare myself to nobody, though, because I feel like, no, like I really I really wouldn't compare myself to nobody though, because I feel like I don't know, like okay, so what um with instagram and like the streets and and everybody reacting to you in a um, in a positive way, and you being able to like jump on a music scene and pass a lot of people how that make you feel?
Speaker 6:and that made me feel good. I ain't gonna lie, it made me feel good because I see I've been seeing it in real time, like like how waves be over fast, like once you play with it like like you could have had a chance to get back up there, get back on your feet, but once you got wave and you don't do nothing with it, it's over, over, right.

Speaker 6:This is something I want now, because like I don't know that support, feel good, like to know people who like, like your sound or fuck with you or just like people ain't gonna lie, like every day, like people be coming up. I was in a bar yesterday A low-key bar. I hate going out partying in the clubs. Mike came up to me, gave me a hug. Yo your name, how right. I'll be texting you on Instagram. I'm like dying.
