2025 F1 Australian GP - full analysis with Peter Windsor
The rain delivered another F1 thriller in Melbourne, with McLaren-Mercedes' Lando Norris crossing the line to win by only 0.8sec from Red Bull-Honda's Max Verstappen. George Russell and Kimi Antonelli finished P3-P4 for Mercedes and fifth was the excellent Alex Albon (Williams-Mercedes), ahead of Sauber-Ferrari's Nico Hulkenberg and the two, disappointing, Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Sir Lewis Hamilton. The race was strewn with incident, beginning with Racing Bull-Honda's Isaac Hadjar crashing on the formation lap; Alpine-Renault's Jack Doohan losing control on the straight on the opening lap; Carlos Sainz (Williams-Mercedes) spinning into the barriers due to a Safety Car mode glitch; Aston Martin-Mercedes' Fernando Alonso shunting at high speed on intermediate tyres; and Gabriele Bortoleto (Sauber-Ferrari) and Liam Lawson (Red Bull-Honda) going off-course while running slicks in the semi-wet. In addition, McLaren-Mercedes' Oscar Piastri (who seemed set to finish P2) spun luridly onto the grass and both Leclerc and Antonelli survived quick track-surface spins without damage. Peter Windsor in this video looks back at the day's key moments.

Dexter Windsor, a key member of our production team, was adopted as a puppy from the brilliant Álora Dogs Home in Malaga, Spain. Many of Álora's kennels were destroyed in recent storms, however, so this is a shout-out to anyone who might be able to adopt or sponsor one of our unsheltered friends - or who could perhaps help the repairs there with a small donation. Thanks, as always.
