Hello and welcome to decide on Joy, a podcast coming to you from Harmony Spiritual Center in Fort Worth, Texas. My name is Jim Alt, and my name is Reverend Dr. PJ Stanley. Welcome, and today's episode is called Sacred Seasons. It's about trusting divine timing. We are actually recording this as, as we approach one of those seasons or in the midst of, or however you wanna look at it, but just sort of mid-December of course that particular sacred season is not just sacred to Christians or it's, it's been a, a special day. Absolutely. Forever. Good. Lots of reasons. Yeah. Because it is, well, the, the winter solstice, the December 20th, I think is, is the shortest day of the year. And it was important in lots of ways to lots of civilizations. Absolutely. And it's an example of life unfolds in a particular rhythm. Yeah. Yeah. And the thing is to honor your current season. Yeah, exactly. That is, that's what it is. And not necessarily talking about the earth's season, but really talking about you in particular. Everyone has their seasons, seasons of life and we tend to. You know, want the seasons to be exact, like, I've been here for 30 days and it's time to move on, or whatever it is. But the seasons have their own divine timing. And that's the thing we want to talk about when we talk about what kind of, what does seasons mean for you and as an individual and what does Divine Timing have to do with it? So that's what we're kind of, that's, that's where my head is at what I'm talking about. So what does Divine Timing has to do with that? So what ends up happening is this, and one of the things that we talk about is that in order to, it's all, it's all, it's always about for us, for me, what I'm sharing with you is to help you have the best life possible. And one of the ways that we have the best lives possible is to decide, and that's why this is called Decide on Joy, is to decide. What it is that you actually want. There are so many possibilities in life, and the way that things come to you is that you make a specific decision about something. Yes. Basically you're saying yes to life. So here's the thing, is that when we say yes to life, because we have finally made a decision about something, yes, I want from something as simple as, yes, I'm gonna go ahead and get that dress or that outfit, even though it's more too expensive. For me, what I think is too expensive, but the idea of too expensive is a lack of prosperity thinking. Yeah. So you make a decision that, yes, I'm going to get this dressed, and then the universe gets busy helping that happen for you. So what goes on is. We've spent so, so much time making that decision that when we finally have made it, we want it to be, now that we're able to afford this. Oh yeah, exactly. Well, yeah, I wanna take a trip. I wanna take it now, now that I've made the decision. But the decision only puts the universe on alert to say, oh, okay, we definitely want this. So now I've got a, we've got to, things need to move around. People need to move around. Energy needs to move around. For it to come to you. And so that's the divine timing that we're unaware of. What, what's gonna, what is it going to take to get everything in a, in a place where it's now at your doorstep and able for you to use it. So once you understand that, that you, the, the first thing is for you to decide on the joy that you want, whatever it is. And then the universe gets busy moving things around people, places, circumstances so that it lands at your door. And once you understand that, you begin to build the best way to, to deal with divine timing is to build your faith in the fact that it will be coming once you said yes, spirit's on your side, and we'll get it to you in spirit's time, not yours. That's, that's the thing. It doesn't necessarily always have to take a long time though. Oh, no, no. It could, it could come immediately. Yeah, because everything could be in place. And here, here's the other thing. One of the other, one of the many things, but spirit, spirit is exactly that thing, spirit. So to move things around on the physical plane, physical things have to be moved around. People have to, oh, faith have to do what Spirit is telling them to do. If Spirit tells me to do something, like, write a check for this person, give them, give them, make a donation to that person. Then I could say, oh, I don't have any money in my account right now and I'm gonna wait until I get paid on the first, or whatever it is. That's what I say. So Spirit then says to just move to the next person and said, no, give this person a hundred dollars. And that person might have that, that he's just said, give it to, she has said, give it to has it in their account and can give it to them right away. So it so the, the, the, the divine in each one of us. And each one of us is the divine. We can say yes to something spirit's asking us to do, and we can say, I don't, I don't have that right now. No, I'm not.'cause I, I don't believe I have it. So I don't, and the spirit doesn't say, okay, well it's not gonna happen for this person who's, who's asked for something. I'm going to move to the next divine and ask them to do it. And they either do or they don't and keep moving until, until the person who's, who hears spirit and is ready to move, does that. So sometimes. The person, the spirit is told to do it. Say, oh, okay.'cause they're very much in tune to spirit and do it right away, and someone else might wait some time. So that's part of what takes the different time and, and in your, in the, in divine timing that you're looking for. So that's kind of how that works. Yes. Sorry, there's some interesting noise occurring on, on the system here, but hopefully you, the audience won't be able to hear that we're gonna have faith if that's not, or the software will get rid of it.'cause I have no idea what it is if I start unplugging things. That's not gonna be, don't tell her what you'll hear after that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And, yeah. How do we know what season we're in? Like, that's the question a lot of people ask me. How do you know what season you're in? It's for, for me right now. I'll just give a personal example. I, when something pops in my head and I want to do something, Hey, pg, write this book. Or you know, call it this person or whatever it is, I wanna do it right then and there'cause it's on my mind. But sometimes physically my body is tired. So I'm in a place right now where I'm doing a lot of resting. And it aggravates me. Yeah. Because, you know, I want to move forward. I want to do things, but my body's saying, Hey girlfriend, I need some rest. So no, we're not doing all of that right now. And so for me, the timing seems to be winter. I seem to be in a place of rest, but I understand divine timing. So to go against that isn't gonna change the outcome. I'm not still not gonna be able to do what I need to do with all the energy that I want to do it. Right. So now I'm just relaxing into what I understand now is my. Winter time, my time too for me, winter, and it could be other things for other people, but for me winter means rest. And so so that's what I'm doing right now. I'm just stop arguing with spirit and my body and I'm resting. Yeah. Until spring comes to me. Springtime is a time of, you know, running around. So it's unfortunately you can do that. I mean, certainly there are times when people. Because of something in their work or whatever. Sure. They, they can't really take the time to say, yes, I'm going to rest now. I mean the rest time. Exactly. But what they're gonna find, and I think their bosses will find that they're paying attention, is they don't do the job as well. Mm-hmm. They don't do it as quickly. And that's okay. The job's gonna get done, but there's just, there's this perfect timing for a number of things. And yes, the, the, the, the physical planet, the things that we, that are demanded of us don't, won't always let us live. In the, the, the season that we are in. And that's okay. This is, I just said I'm tired. I'm in the winter thing, but I sometimes I force myself to do more because I want to see it done, but that's what I'm doing, forcing myself to do it rather than being able to live in that perfect season for where my body's at. Mm-hmm. And Edmond might, right? Yeah. Yeah. When you say those seasons, and that's a pretty traditional way of looking at seasons, but how do you know for, for your own purposes what your seasons are? They might be different, you might certainly, sometimes here where we are, summer feels like it would be a good time to rest because it's too hot to do anything else. But it could be unless you know but if you think about. If you think about the way the world is when is, is sunshine and summer there's a lot of activity going on. Well, like springtime is more, it's not a lot of activity, but it feels more like growth. Mm-hmm. So, but summertime feels more like activities. Like, I wanna be out dancing, I wanna be out, you know, physically doing things. So for me, summer feels like a more physical time for you to be, and, and so you can just because I'm calling it summer doesn't mean it's actually summer in the, in the, in. As far as temperature and weather and the, the seasons that we have outside of ourselves, I'm talking about your own internal season. That's what I'm talking about. Right? So, so I'm just calling it winter, spring, summer, because we are used to those four. Well, those things would be reversed if you were in Australia anyway. That's exactly correct. Yes, exactly correct. So and so it is your internal season that we're talking about. And so yeah, so there's a time when we're just, we're planting, we're planting ideas. We're. Fruitful with reading and, and, and accumulating in information. There's the time when you're just, when you're saying, okay, I've got all this information, I'm just gonna go ahead and move out on it. Just take a step, make a plan to me that's springtime. And then summertime is where you're kind of out there seeing it, you know, seeing the results of it, seeing it growing, seeing your, seeing what you've done come to fruition. And then you go into fall for yourself. Where it's like, okay, I've done some stuff, and it's back to a little bit of rest and preparing for what's next. And then wintertime is, is exactly that where, where you are actually resting in the springtime again. So those are the seasons as I'm, as I'm labeling them. But you can look at your own body, your own mind just the things that happen around you and where, when are you feeling, when are you feeling like you need some rest? When are you feeling like it's time to plant things? When are you feeling like it's time to harvest? You know, all of the, and so you could decide what those, those seasons are for you. But what I'm saying is to honor where you are instead of fighting yourself and trying to make yourself do things where your body's not, or your mind is not at. Just recognize where you actually are and be okay with that. Okay, this is where I'm at. Yeah, and it, so it might not match what the rest of the world thinks happen. Doesn't need to match up anyone else. It just needs to match up your. And so it's just about you saying where, where is, where, where is, where am I at? So you're not so aggravated and, and what we, I don't know about everyone. I don't wanna say we, like everybody does this, but I, I have a feeling just from the people I talk with, we're very harsh with ourselves. We're very hard on ourselves. Certainly can be. Yeah. Yeah. We really can be. Thank you for saying that. Yeah. We don't necessarily that, but we can be. And so this is just more information about how life works, how our emotions work and recognizing where you are. And honoring it. Honoring who you are, where you are and knowing that because this is a spiritual podcast, knowing where you are with the divine. You know, just knowing divine is always on your side. So you could just ask the question, where am I? What's going on here? You can always ask that. What season is it here? What season is it right now? Yes. Because I don't seem to be getting anything done, you know? Whatever. Yeah. So you can't just do that. Yeah. Well good. We can, we can stop there and let everyone go and get in sync with their season, whichever it may be. Exactly. And we will see you next time. Thanks for joining us. Yes.
