Disciples of Jesus would do well to understand Satan's tactics. The enemy rarely begins with open violence or obvious heresy. Instead, he works through people who claim some form of Christianity, or Judaism in Jesus' day, through those who have turned back, and finally through governing authorities eager to hear whatever confirms their own ambitions. Scripture warns us not to be ignorant of these schemes because the pattern is remarkably consistent. Psychologically, these tactics exploit common human vulnerabilities, cognitive biases, emotional manipulation, and social dynamics. The same sequence unfolded clearly in the events leading to Jesus' crucifixion.

Planting Evil Suspicion

Evil Suspicions The first move is the quiet planting of evil suspicions, discernment ministries, unrepentant sinners, and religious people who have never denied self by following the Holy Spirit become useful instruments of the evil one. They need no hard evidence, a raised eyebrow, a carefully worded concern, shared in private, or a loaded question is enough. The suspicion is presented as spiritual caution, yet it is the seed of accusation. Once planted, it grows with little further effort from the sower. This exploits the fundamental attribution error, assigning negative motives to others while excusing oneself, and confirmation bias, seeking or interpreting information that confirms pre-existing negative views. In other words, woe to those who began the evil suspicions and then used false accusations from those dark flames.

Predicting Sin Without Proof

two Predict Future Sin One suspicion is planted, the same voices begin predicting future sins. They openly admit they have no proof, yet they speak as if the predicted sin is already certain. This deliberate refusal to understand the accused person's actual walk with God avoids the need for their own repentance. Slander dressed as prophecy remains slander. Psychologically, this involves catastrophizing and negative forecasting, assuming the worst without evidence, while prejudice blinds people to contradictory facts. Prosecutor Jason Simmons captured this mindset when he stated The State doesn't have to prove anything else other than their age. The religious leaders predicted Jesus would deceive the nation.

When Followers Turn Back

Some who once confessed belief in Jesus turned back to the world or failed the test when persecution or hardship arrived because of the gospel. Mark four seventeen But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. These former travelers become valuable witnesses, and the discernment groups and prosecutors seek them out for adding to their self righteous echo chamber. These individuals already carry their excuses, suspicions and predicted sins from earlier stages. When they leave, they do not simply walk away, they complete the unfinished narrative according to their own bitterness or fear. Their departure reinforces the original critics and all who oppose godly living. This reflects cognitive dissonance, resolution, rejecting the demanding path of discipleship, and the bandwagon effect. Many disciples turn back after Jesus' hard teachings, John chapter six, verse sixty six, providing a ready pool of former followers whose departures fueled further false criticism. Those who have left and stopped building the tower, as Jesus taught it in the parable of counting the cost, Luke 14, verses 28 through 30, are now being ridiculed. They must prop up family and friends who desperately need someone to reinforce their previous lies, because deep down they know they are guilty. Scripture warns, bad company corrupts good character. By associating with and defending the accusers, they only deepen their own compromise. four.

Constructed lies gain traction. The lies, twists, and partial truths now circulate among false witnesses. Each retelling hardens the story. Milder suspicions merge into harsher accusations. What began as private concern becomes public narrative. Repetition, not evidence, gives it traction. People are willing to believe the worst about anyone who unsettles their comfort. This is amplified by echo chambers, rumor cascades, and the illusory truth effect. Athena Dean Holtz contributed to documented sabotage at Wine Press Publishing. This included constant undermining designed to foster bitterness, the notorious pattern of the trash bag fraud, false promises, and violations of book sales purity to damage profitability. Those who question it fall under suspicion, and those who are responsible for destroying the innocent will force and entice those who betrayed Jesus to reinforce their dark actions. The old adage that bad company corrupts good character comes fully into play. This escalates into moral panic, dehumanization, and group polarization. The crowd cried, Crucify him, Matthew chapter twenty seven, verses twenty two through twenty three, and the false narrative of Jesus as a dangerous blasphemer and insurrection is spread, exactly as Satan intended, though God sovereignly used it for redemption. Summary The Last Days Pattern of Betrayal and Self Justification Disciples of Jesus must begin to prepare themselves for the harshest of betrayals. Here is a riddle of betrayal experienced. One who was a pathological liar, and an adopted son is now not a son, but a brother who stole the inheritance. These seven points form a single interconnected scheme of Satan participants, whether planting suspicions, predicting sins, spreading lies, betraying for gain, or inflaming authorities, built upon one another's sins exactly as Jesus warned would increase in the last days. Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child, children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. You will be hated by everyone because of me. Such disciples refuse to compromise, tolerate or allow Jezebel to continue in her crimes, schemes and destructions.
