hey hey welcome to another episode of palm trees and progress presents on NBC KCA 102.3 FM 106.5 FM and 1050 a.m. in

the Inland Empire in worldwide on all streaming platforms I'm your host Eric sa soloo and join with us uh in a little

bit like usually is going to be our co-host Andrew Berkeley big do to ours apparently uh two minutes before the

show started I got a text saying uh updating my Skype so so hopefully hope

he'll get that going uh in the next couple minutes but joined with us as well as always is our senior

correspondent Jose Luis gon yo yo how's it going the real senior

correspondent that's that the real hey yeah um for some of the listeners uh who tuned in last week I'm glad you made it

out of the trunk alive uh you were out you were in there for like 30 minutes I think yeah it's pretty ridiculous dude and we didn't go search cuz honestly I

think uh the other guy had a little bit more to say than Mo anyways we're going to we got a great show planned for all

the listeners we'll be chopping it up going over some news articles that we uh read and skimmed and uh also get into

our uh our ask cold questions uh from Reddit can't wait to get into that it's

kind of like our palm trees and progress Love Line advice so you know what also

slide in our DMS if you guys got any uh dating advice for us to uh help you fumble someone that you care about right

right before Valentine's Day uh but before uh you know before we do all of that we're going to be uh introducing

of that throwback he's like dude you got to go through with it so how have you been man uh glad to that you could uh

make it and uh thanks show here excited to you know do this again uh I was here a while back uh here again and yeah fish

tank I don't know if people out there listening know that you guys cuz I you guys tell them or you guys know about

the fish tank let let them let them know let them know okay so real quick uh I had a manager at my job he was white

full-blown white you know so then uh my last name is bessera so he couldn't say

bessera because he can't roll the RS so he would call me uh you know my first

name is Eric so he' be like Eric pesera PESA so PESA in Spanish is a fish

tank so anyways uh like maybe after I would say maybe eight years that I was working with him it was his last den and

I was like you know what I'm going to tell him I'm going to tell him today that he's been calling me Eric fish tank

for the past eight years so this dude is like pale right pale white okay so then like hey dude you know in the last

couple uh years you've been calling me Eric fish tank and this guy had a good sense of humor and he got red red like

super red I even felt bad for the guy like he got so R like I've been calling you fish te and this literally how he

talk I've been calling you fish Tech he kind of sounded like Brandon Fraser like uh like oh my

God I was like oh yeah so Eric fish tank yeah yes man how you been have you been

doing any uh shows lately you know what I I uh I've been doing like when I was doing the comedy um it was nice it was

good but I kind of feel like I got the acting bug oh okay let's go and and is

actually has been something that is actually coming towards

me uh like better than the comedy scene cuz the comedy scene is just a little

bit more difficult from where I stand and comedy is I mean uh the the

acting is kind of like just been uh pretty much I've been very lucky to they've been like bringing me stuff like

here you want to do this I like oh [ __ ] okay uh do I do I do I uh do I uh do I

like audition or no like do just come over and do it I was like okay cool yeah so I've been

doing some of that I did a commercial for a for a vodka that uh some actor

from um insidious insidious some uh so that that dude he's uh coming up with

some new vodka and uh the guy I I used to do uh I I did um some acting with uh

some some cameraman a while back and he hit me back up like I would say probably

like a year later he hit me back up he's like hey uh this is so and so remember we did uh you did a little uh a little

um like a little uh what's it called like a little a scene here and there and you want to do I was like you want to act again I was like yeah sure I'll do

it so then yeah so yeah I've been doing some acting and I I kind of want to do that more and I know I'm not going to be

as lucky coming you know in the future like but so that's I have to like actually like put my you know go

audition and get my uh get my uh my pi

hey man that's awesome congratulations uh that's that's dope uh did you try to sneak any actual was it vodka you said

yeah it was it's called Uh crazy crazy uh crazy vodka shout out to Crazy vodka yeah crazy vodka and uh it was it was

fun it was it was a it was a it was uh it was filmed in uh what is it Malibu so

yeah it was it was about a three-hour drive right from where I live from Moreno Valley yeah so it was a

three-hour drive and it was fun it was uh I actually it was like a pool party scene and I drank more pool water than

vodka so yeah yeah oh you know what uh so that's awesome is the commercial airing anywhere right now or it's it's

right now it's I think it's more on social it's kind of like is like almost a two-minute commercial it's more on

socials out there it's not much much on like TV hopefully it gets rolling you know or I I've I've heard uh they want

to do like another scene to kind of like part two of that be

goes into like inside the house and I was okay so there was all these people with like in the pool party with like

without their shirts off with like little uh tank tops or like bikinis and I was they were like uh they dressed me

up like a like I own the house cuz it was a nice little like Mansion so then I was like they dressed me up like I was

the the owner is like yeah you don't have the body of uh that you don't have that type of body that you're going to

take your shirt off at the pool party so we're just going to put you this shirt and pants I had pants so the director

was like you look like a like a Cuban Poppy I was like okay that's a nice way to put it all right I don't look like

Mario Lopez over there yeah uh you know what I I I've heard a little bit of behind the scenes on like um those kind

of scenes where it's like a party or something like that um is everyone's dancing around correct uh yes with no

music with no music mus so I was dancing kadas in the

back yeah you kind of just see different like uh what they listen to by them dancing like okay let's see what someone

just in the just doing a circle pit yeah they actually told us uh uh apparently

well we couldn't hear the song but they're uh they got this rapper to do

their song for that actual commercial oh awesome so we had to like you know okay like what is it a up

beat is Up Tempo like like no it's just a rap song so I was like okay okay let's

do I throw gang signs or oh man well that's awesome rap rap uh speaking of

the H like half how do you guys think about that halftime show huh Kendrick Lamar never heard of him oh

no it was pretty good man yeah it was all right I liked it well most people don't know is Eric was this close again

his break uhhuh and then the whole win sting thing happened and it was just like oh oh no

yeah yeah you told me that off air but I wasn't

sure oh man almost had it yeah so I guess Andrew's still getting that Skype

downloaded well how how was your weekend uh Lise did you you were telling me a little bit uh before the show man um so

unfortunately um had a loss man I just want to give a quick shout out um lost

my old neighbor lived across the street man um 58 years young uh Juan Guzman um

my heart goes out to you uh his wife s his daughter Carelli and his

granddaughter Carla uh going to miss you man love you and uh yeah 58 years young

man just um you know live the dream the American dream man came out and uh you

know I gave you kind of the short story of what had happened and um he came out was uh pretty much started his life uh

became a mechanic and um just one day said hey man I'm going back to Mexico and I remember asking him if he was

afraid to go back and he laughed at me and he said uh I came to this country with about $500 in my pocket and I'm

leaving with a lot more than I came with so um you know which is a again it's the American dream and and he got to live it

so going to miss a man just give him a shout out so prayers go out to him and his family yeah prayers go out to the

family sorry for your loss man that's heavy heavy stuff so yeah man and uh it's kind of weird cuz uh the one of the

last Super Bowls that there were out we we they you know we got to watch it with them and uh that was the old uh when uh

New England came back after that 28 oh right right when Andrew there he is wearing that New England thing too wow I

love it perfect timing dude yeah so that was that was the last time we uh we hung out I watch the Super Bowl so but yeah

so it was good memories man but who who was the halftime show oh that one uh no

clue oh Game Dude okay lame Andrew

knows does is his wife still living there hi Andrew no he lives in Mexico

they move back yeah okay oh what what part did he move to somewhere in n somewhere like outside or like in that

vicinity so oh awesome uh so Andrew uh how's it going man uh glad that you decided to update

your your what was it your Skype yeah man I didn't know that that

was a thing I had go through the whole website I had three Skypes download for

a second for some of the listeners for some of the listeners no he's not a little bit older he is 20 something

years old not knowing how to use technology so love that for you man but you you wear

New Balances strictly though right before they were cool oh yeah yeah there you go two sens

yes oh man so how was how was your weekend Andre uh we were catching up a little bit at the beginning of the show

but how how was your did you enjoy the Super Bowl did you uh rage it out where

did you go catch that at yeah we went out to Newport actually went to a Philly bar which it was insane I mean Philly

fans are crazy it but it was a good time cuz in Newport California there is they were all

singing that they're all from Philly nobody likes them they all hate like it was a great song they every song they

had was it was good what bar do you want to dox the the spot uh it's called the har out in

Newport actually coose to M like as soon as you get off to 55 right uh near the triangle it's right there but uh yeah

dude it was really cool it was it was a fun time we were standing the entire time but it it was awesome to be around

that atmosphere I I was telling my dad today I'm like I'm just glad that Billy wasn't losing cuz I couldn't be around

that many people that were like having a bad time would have been fun would have

left for sure uh we we called our friend at half time and like hey she was at another place she was like yeah don't

come here we're like okay cool because it's it's really awesome it was so much fun oh man glad glad to hear uh you had

a good time uh so we were all talking about how much we loved the Super Bowl halftime show Kendrick Lamar's uh so

what are your thoughts about it as the youngest uh youngest person on the show dude I'm here for it I mean

honestly I think my favorite part was seeing it's

a I like it I'm just saying I'm here for everybody that broke it down afterwards

and you know like in the sense of it being like a performance for everybody

to like no it definitely wasn't one of those so like it again like that that's kind of what Kamar does he's not trying

toase everybody yeah yeah yeah I might I might have a a safe bet um how the

Phillies fans feel about it I I would I would say definitely like H what you might

expect from a bunch of Phillies mat you know at the at the football the B line was so long you know they were all like

about it too but I mean again I was first take I was like ah it probably

could have been better but then like going back and watching Everybody break it down I know like Kendrick Lamar did exactly what he does you know symbolism

um all the different things that he had intertwined within it it's like it was bigger than just a Super Bowl show so I

I'm I'm here for it he was on the biggest stage and instead of making everybody happy and you know I've seen

the critics I've seen you know the people that are talking like smack about it or just in in general we like uh I

didn't really like it like yeah like he really wasn't doing it for you what what were some of the things being said yeah what Tik Tok Downs did you

watch from all the Tik toks uh no it was just like people saying like oh he didn't play his good songs they were

showing like videos of how quiet the stadium was um and just like recording

I'm like yeah it did look pretty quiet in there but I also noticed a pretty uh

similar thing with everybody in the crowd so I was like yeah gu probably not

not going to like it yeah I like how we could tiptoe around it and we all know what we're saying like without saying at

the Super Bowl party I was in it was uh people that don't listen to his music

and they were trying to vibe to it cuz hey you know we're having fun it's a Super Bowl party let's just try but they

were like what is he saying like what are what what are what are these lyrics like so they were just like they were

just going they were going with the beat but they couldn't connect with what he was saying so the beat is cool but all

the Beats were all hip-hop all rap beats you know what I'm saying so and then like when you have all the diversity of

people watching the Super Bowl I feels like well you know um okay I don't understand what he's saying and the

beat's cool but the second song is still the same kind of beat third third song is the same kind of beat the fourth and

the fifth it's kind of the same beat so like okay five five five five five five

five I don't get that part huh how he teased that uh that song Oh that was cool yeah I I had no clue and then the

the guy's house that we were at he goes oh oh he's going to do it I'm like what do you tell he's like oh dude they said they were going to sue him if he did it

yeah if he played the not like us song yeah and then he teased it and he's like oh oh he didn't do it and he was just

like I was like wait that's the Dodgers like anthem song do I remember them doing that whole thing no yeah that

don't don't give the Dodger credit for that no it wasn't made for them in October football in October or not

Football October baseball they were just playing that non-stop yeah they're not like what is that they're not like

exactly you don't October baseball I know hey you guys got Kenley Jensen dude one year 10 million yeah dude let's go I

know what that means good luck with that oh yeah this guy I bet you you had

a Jensen Jersey I could stand that guy I have receipts on that I promise you that

I have receipts I will show you I can't say what I felt about that dude uh uh before we move on from the Super Bowl uh

um uh concert I had a friend that came over after the halftime show and he's

like oh how was the Kendrick Lamar uh you know experience you know how was how was was the show and I said I was like

dude it was super cool you missed it he played like all of his like older songs and I just started naming songs off like

it's older Mix names and he's like no no way are you for real and I was like no

they're all like the new ones off his new album and he got pretty sad about it after that his Shaggy pants from

Scooby-Doo were awesome though I like dude I'm down to wear those I don't care

Jose say I will wear those yes oh man I'm glad we all wear those to yeah to a

white party yeah I said I was like are those boot cut jeans and someone was like those are flare bro he's like I was

like my bad dog my bad you know if he if he would have came

out with bad blood I bet you everybody would have been different you know if he if he came out with his T swi song oh dude if Swifty if Swifty popped out for

for Bad Blood oh I I would have been here for it did you you know how like Serena Williams got uh bashed because

she was doing the [ __ ] walk when her sister got murdered by a crib oh I had no

idea that is like dude what Vanessa's dead

no F no wonder they're not playing yeah I

don't even got the name right oh man uh that was good dude give me credit on that no the other one we don't know

about yeah no I never watched the King Arthur movie The Big Will Smith I was still a

little I was still a little mad at Will Smith for being such a cuck come

on oh man okay so uh go on at you I think you I think I cut you off mid

sentence no I that's all I had to say I really think uh people would have had a

different reaction that I was I wanted him to do it so bad I just wanted to see everybody just go off on like oh my gosh

you're super excited but it didn't happen didn't happen oh yeah and then uh dang that is crazy about the the the the

[ __ ] walking uh thing so that was like Drake's X I didn't know that they did it either I'm I guess I'm old yeah yeah did

you know that yeah do you know Ser Williams and Drake yeah I guess they were there that's his that was his ex or

something like that that when Serena was still a darker

shade so uh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I someone

explained that to me at at the at the Super Bowl shindig and I was like oh okay that's ouch pretty good crazy yeah

well um so I want to say thanks again Eric for taking the time being part of the show man uh thank you do you have

anything else you want to plug while we're uh you know chopping up and going through stuff um well I was doing a a a

little uh movie for Netflix but the director got arrested for stealing from

uh the uh Universal hot take so yeah and

the re yeah the reason why they found out is because uh I guess someone got really hurt at in during production

uhhuh and they're like well let's let's investigate what's going on with this uh production and they found out that he

was taking all the luxury cars at night and stealing money from the production

and and I was about to do a kissing scene the next day uhhuh so you ready

shot scenes of this movie yes and then so I was going to do a kissing scene and then a murder scene but the kissing

scene was with a dude so yes

yes what kind of movie true story true story true story true story true storye

yeah yeah and then I was going to kill the my boyfriend's girlfriend in the

hospital the next day and there was going to be special effects and blood and they're like they didn't hit me up

and then they said oh you know what it's cuz it's raining that day and you can't we're not going to shoot I like all

right cool and I'm like well it's not raining Friday Saturday Sunday you guys not hitting me up what's going on yeah kept it under WRA so I found out

probably like months later what had happened I had to like invest like look up for look his name up and yeah he's

like in jail and the paper work came up on I was like damn uh for the murder scene uh what was the murder weapon

going to be was there any squibs involved you know a giant never

mind it let you say it was R big and you know black let's

go oh man uh did you get him from behind yeah I was going to choke him from

behind with don't look at me f b uh so uh we could get some news uh

some news articles and then uh hit up some Reddit uh advice or what do you guys think let's do it all right but

obviously we cannot do our news without our palm trees in progress

got so uh this one was a nice little headline uh a Malaysian man offers

villain For Hire services for clients to play Hero in front of Partners wow per

perfect time for you know just just in time for Valentine's Day so this entrepreneur who

again he a did you did you hear me did you hear me choke on that word a malicious a

malion is what I believe I said is what they call so it's not M oion oh okay I

was like it's like my favorite cheese parmeson so an entrepreneur who looks

thanks Andie for not letting that go I really appreciate that oh I love uh entrepreneur who looks

like a gang member unquote makes Bold moves to mon Iz appearance business idea

ignites legal concern so a man in Malaysia who is offering a villain for higher service to help people uh play

Hero in front of their Partners attened uh attracted widespread attention on social media so he's a 28-year-old man

and on January 8th he took to social media to promote his Services claiming he could help clients demonstrate their

masculinity and make a lasting impression on their partners and uh so

he said so this is the uh pitch which I'm like dude what a good businessman he wrote are you tired of your partner

thinking you are weak for a reasonable fee I can help you prove them wrong and that's also not proving them

wrong um he added client he added that clients just have to Pro uh provide the

time and place and he would show up to harass their partner giving them a chance to take him down uh he he shared

a photo of himself with messy hair and an unlit cigarette to enhance his tough guy image I'll have to get this photo up

in a second but uh I I do like I read the price for this

is uh the villain for higher service reportedly costs 100 ring ring ring it

is how I guess uh their currency over there which equals to 22 us22 $22 yeah dude I mean honestly if

that was up around here Valentine's Day was looking would be looking pretty good uh and that's weekday price and 150 on

the weekend so what we'd say like $30 if no like probably less than $30

us can you imagine dude like you're just going down the stet like man how many guys are going to hit on me I told you

babe I told you Jesus it's the same dude I mean I I told you when you wear

that flannel you're just asking for it apparently wow uh that's a great idea

though you know what I mean and uh I guess I guess he said he's ready helped uh some friends and family by doing it

and he also you know what Andrew you sexist no he wasn't offering it only to men he was offering it to women and men

oh so you paid him to grow up your your girl ESS okay yeah I don't know if you

guys seen the movie Mr Deeds the Adam Sandler hit Mr Deeds it sounds a lot like the beginning of Mr

Deeds uh Mr D is the one where the the butler ends up getting on the money right very sneaky

yes frost bite to uh uh you guys could share your thoughts while I try to get this photo

I guess that is crazy that like I feel like out of most Gang Related dances the [ __ ] Walk has been the most televised

one out of all I don't know how many Gang Related dances there are but I've seen Snoop Dogg [ __ ] Walk how many times

on television recently on WWE when he did like his finishing move uh it was

pretty cool uh Andrew I don't know if you heard that Joe Biden uh ex President signed

with a Hollywood talent agent maybe he goes to the same guy as you uh CA CAA I

guess is that true yeah yeah is true yeah so he signed with creative artist agencies in all areas uh this past

Monday nice and so uh I wonder what they're going to be pulling out they said his lifelong commitment to public

service service is one of uh one of unity optimism dignity and possibility

we are profoundly honored to partner with him all right so I mean hopefully watch out for Joe Biden on the mummies

part five are they rebooting are they re Mr Rogers I'm hoping to see I'm hoping to see him like

in one of those new American Horror Story Seasons or Mr Rogers if he lived to be 100 there you go they're going to

reboot weeken at Beres dude that was good perfect and it's and

it's gonna be with Ray Ban metas this time yeah he go so hopefully we could we

could get some kind of Ray bads over to us hey Ray bads get at

us oh man speaking of dude I actually wanted to tell you we uh I was talking

to our cousin Joseph and just know letting him know we got to go do more uh

shows you know if if Joe Biden can go out there and get some like agency deals

I think we should just go and get our media deals man we got to go do some in-person interviews at WWE we got to

get into X Games we gota we really got to utilize this man we got to get our media pass and uh Joseph was saying yeah

you guys got have like a microphone and go interview people and I'm like we need to I'm like we need to do that what's a

microphone I I want to be one of those people yeah I want to be one of those people that uh that you like they

interview just with the phone though just kind of like throw the phone in the interview's face the little fussy

thing yeah or like have you seen those guys that do it like on with a beer can with a can on on a pen or anything put a

little microphone at the end of it but Barker microphone

nice little log one oh dude I think the French use those a lot too right or just like the cigarette like a little skinny

cigarette Whiffle a whle ball bat and then the segment close and it can be like super far away the segment spatula

an interview or out of an interview we do that beasty Boy song where it's like I did it like that and I did it like

this I did it with a waffle with a whiffle ball bat still don't know what that means I I

so Sho I feel like I feel like that's a segment that we can get into weekly and we'll just debate and talk about how how

cool jaw rule is I guess um uh the uh and also porn in other states porn in

other states Andrew did you know that porn in Utah uh it's banned like you can't go on pornhub.com or xvideos.com

or xHamsters decom or naughtyamerica.com or any of the plenty others Jesus Christ

dude you know what have kept going did you were you aware of that so

how many of those no I I wasn't but that sounds about right uhuh you know yeah it's crazy so I guess there's a lot of

states where yeah like even if you try to do on your phone just you can't you can't go on the websites got to use your

imagination yeah what what am I caveman so that is insane uh and for the

record I haven't been to Utah in years so just so just so you guys

know I've been the only place I've been out of California was Nevada and trust me Nevada I imagine it still works um

that makes sense for you why you can't even use your websites there as a kid you know that those little

templets that was my porn when I was a kid when my parents used to take me to Vegas I used to find them in the

street the old school dude I'll be like yes I'll find him on the floor I'll be

like I'll take it to the room yes he's like go ahead parents go play the slot

right here yes uh yeah and that that for me I was like around the age where I started collecting Pokemon cards too so

I was like just another thing to collect just another like oh you got you got

sativa I got uh Miss Miss Missy over here uh girl nipples are covered with
