my right all right Frank Escalante man I want to say thanks again for taking the

time and being part of the show uh for some of the listeners who may not know about um you know mouthful of tacos and

all the awesome stuff you're doing uh let them know a little bit about you and where they could find you yeah man so uh

I like long walks on the beach uh I'm an Avid Reader uh I uh like uh peanut

butter uh no are we going crunch are we going crunchy or smooth on the peanut butter we're going you know what I

dabble man I'm not gonna lie I go in between crunchy and smooth but I'm I'm a I'm a smooth type of guy I'm not going

to lie you hear that ladies you got a switch hitter for you there you go get the old switch hitter sometimes get

lonely I put peanut butter on my toes and let my dog go to town but that's just me that's just normal uh get you a

man who can do both yeah exactly there we go uh yeah I'm a a comedian uh actor

and uh uh Eater of tacos mouthful of tacos uh which is a a it's essentially

like a bar soul type of show but I just I'm just very honest with the tacos uh cuz sometimes uh Mexican fools get too

high and mighty about their uh their recipes and they're not that honest about how it really tastes and I just go in there and I shatter dreams as best as

possible oh man uh I got to ask is there any of note that you can say that you

were really hyped up to go like a taco joint you were really stoked to go see or heard good things from and then got

let down is there a couple that you want to air out on the air or oh man uh they got to tune in to find out uh you know

what okay I don't think it exists anymore but it was called it was called tacos University in Riverside or un was

it University tacos or something or tacos excuse me EXC me tuition tacos tuition tacos in Riverside yeah oh no

tuition tacos in Riverside I don't think it exists anymore but when I had it it it it was one of those tacos where you

could I could go into my kitchen and just get the seasonings and put them on the tacos because I knew exactly what

seasonings they were using they were using the L's and the Old Bay and I was like this is not deserving of a t L's

does come in clutch uh as as a young college student so I could get it uh I

said man but dude they they were they were two uh they were two uh uh fair

skin tacos if I if I if I could be very honest and say that but uh all right is

that is that your rating scale I gotta ask well I don't know if I'm allowed to say the old the WT word but

uh is that okay or F you know what I will say I will just to make you feel a little bit more comfortable I uh posted

on Instagram right before the show started uh a new design that I did for palm trees in progress

it was a u inspired by a Starbucks cup but instead there was promethazine coming out of it and I said the the

white girl's going love this one so okay perfect uh yeah there were white people tacos uh just uh just you know chicken

or ground beef and I'm like this is this is some some what's going on there you know what

I I while you said that um I remember being online reading stuff for for a while and trying to figure out what they

by the letters YT on comment selections and stuff I'm like YouTube I don't where's the YouTube link on

this you yeah and I was like oh okay yep yep yep yep that's yo I'm not hey I'm

not gonna lie bro that that took me a while too because I was like yo you guys are really obsessed with YT in these comments man you guys are really

obsessed with YouTube and then I was like oh white white people okay that's great yeah yeah uh the other day my

friend was telling me he's like oh man I I need to chill out on those California rolles you know and I'm like yeah I

guess there's a lot of mercury in the fishes so I so I guess like yeah be careful man he's like no like I always

like roll it stop signs out here so I'm scared to get pulled over oh [ __ ] dude oh my God I'm so sorry oh you're fine

you're fine uh yeah damn that's not what I thought at all

yeah I'm more of a California stop California what is it stop type of guy

we call yeah yeah I'm a I'm a I'm a sushi connoisseur I love I love sushi

anything Sushi related give me a blue fin tuna I'll make you a happy wife happy

life so oh yeah it's funny that you uh so do you go to a lot of spots in Riverside I know the last couple ones I

saw of the mouthful of tacos at mouthful of tacos on Instagram uh was and El Long

Beach and then uh but we're from Riverside we're we're actually stationed the station's in uh San berino now it

was Redlands recently but uh hell yeah yeah we're Riverside so I know Tio's Tacos Andrew you you went there he's

from OC he's a Fullerton guy uh but have you are you thinking of hitting Tio's Tacos have you even heard of that spot

is that the one with the uh the big metal thing in front it is the one with a big metal thing in front oh man oh man

you're gonna hate me don't hate me it's it's it's cool it just you know when you have the best it's hard to it's hard to

like compare to be like oh you know what this is you know but I will say it comes in clutch it comes in clutch when you're

like man I I have a have a craving for some tacos but I I I have been there before uh not impressed not I'm not

going to lie but it's okay I I still I still dig it I think I think their alpas stur was all right but their carada you

know my my whole thing is like if you if you mess up the carada uh the taco place is not going to be good but their Kan

was good I just didn't like their uh alpastor because it was a little too sweet for my taste I like a even type of

sweet yeah yeah I'm like I I don't remember if it's even comes on the little rotisserie uh [ __ ] uh Andrew you

know spit roast you always look that what you call me yeah oh man uh did you hit that when you

came out here in Riverside correct Andrew uh I think so I think it was uh the there's that big metal thing in the

front there's a big metal thing in the front you can't miss it I definitely it's like a huge Garden in the back

right yeah yeah yeah yeah it's it's it's all like recycled uh all the Arts made with recycled uh items I almost said

recycled Goods but I don't know if a propane tank is recycled Goods I would say no

but I just I can't even commit to like a a taco like any Taco spot that I can't I

can't really say it's the best that's why I I want to ask that's my number one question what is the best the

can oh man you know what I went there I think they moved locations it was called t uh Tacos El Paloma and it was on the

corner of Massachusetts and where's duk's bar again I forgot what what street is on Duke's bar uh Malibu no no

no no uh here Riv next to UCR uh I forget which street it's on yeah I I try

not to go there to get to avoid getting stab bla BL that's what it is uh Blaine and Massachusetts they had a taco a taco

truck that would post up and it was I think it was called Tacos El Paloma or tacos Paloma or Paloma tacos and that

was probably the greatest that was probably easily the greatest ala store I've ever had in my life uh five Taco

five tacos deep I could barely see it anything in front of me hallucinating and and man they just they clean you out

really good uh that's that that's my personal favorite I think it's called Tacos El palom or Paloma tacos that's oh

man I and pastor's kind of one of my favorite uh Taco protein to grab and stuff that oh my God it's God's meat bro

it's God's meat so beautiful when it when it's done right oh my God it's like having a handshake with God but when

it's done wrong it's like going to the seventh circle of hell it's not uh it's

it's just like what are we doing here bro what are we doing uh what was the what was the craze that was going around

everywhere at all the Taco joints recently was a um was it B yeah was B with the go man stuff like that and

every spot I think Jack in the Box had those and or still has those which was insane did you review those on the show

you know you know what it is okay here's my whole thing here's my my my basis for everything anything with cheese is

already inherently better than anything without cheese my boy spitting fast so so it so it's it's not really fair

because kind of quite frankly you can get away with cheese because when Once cheese is on something you're instantly like oh this is the greatest thing ever

but my my my whole thing my whole thing for my show is that I usually taste the

meat pause I usually taste the meat and I taste it without salsa because a lot

of dudes chefs homies fools grandmas nonas will try to get away with just

putting salsa on their taco and they like oh yeah yeah yeah but if you actually take the time to taste the meat

you're like man this is garbage this is uh what are we doing here and that's what happens too I mean I I remember

there there's this one taco spot in uh orange was called uh it was called uh oh it's it's um was it o Tak oi whatever it

used to be called Tak there's a couple locations left and I had mentioned I was like cuz one of my episodes I was like

man there's no salt in this and I remember the guy dm' me and he's like we specifically don't put salt because our

our customers put salsa and I'm like that is the worst business model ever shouldn't you have just good good meat

pause but shouldn't you just have like just good flavoring meat because that's the I mean you're you're a restaurant

you got a restaurant you got you're a chef just like make make the meat good come for the salsa yeah exactly it it's

it's a thing you know what I mean like it's just before you put the salsa just take take take a bite the me and you're like damn this is this is this is better

than with salsa anyway but that's just that's just me last question last question how are we feeling

about how how are we what how do you feel about the Tak of dandz it's one of

those it's one of those like man I'm I'm drunk I'm driving I'm not really but I

am I'm drunk I'm driving and I'm like yo I need I need uh something I need sustenance it's one of those like you

don't want to go to Taco Bell or Dell Taco and you w to you want to get harassed by the cashier you're like let

me go here real quick you know what I'm saying and like that's the type Vibe it is but you know if you got you want a

real one you got to go to the the the the slums of Santa Ana and find a corner with a a a crack guy looking at you kind

of weird you know what I'm saying like you gotta get in there man gotta get in there but but but I'm not gonna lie I

love I love AES I love a canas from from Tanda I'm not I'm I'm not a I'm not

biased I'll take them all shapes and sizes hello let's go uh Frank um where are you based out of uh you you're

talking about a lot of like Riverside uh Taco spots and I'm like whoa so so are

you out here in the iie or um I I okay I had to say

one I'm sorry man you see big boy sing that you see big boy sing that the other day dude what a trip dude yeah good for

that guy Andrew I don't know if you know what we're talking about but but before we let you know uh one of the funniest

comments I I read in um on the guys the iie song was um he's like oh man where I

could tell someone spent their tax return on uh on the publishing or on the uh promotions cuz this dude's commercial

I mean I every time I go on Instagram I'm like what the heck it's another one like he's doing it man he's putting all

that tax return state and federal you know what I'm saying man it's it's it's it's he's smart guy yeah catchy and I

and I'll go back to his page just be like oh because I could see his following uh climbing up I think legit

when I went like two weeks ago to to his page for the first time maybe it was like 5,000 following and yesterday or

the day before it was like at like 12K so you know what I mean good for exactly

good Andre now that you're from the OC do you know what I'm talking about

what just I guess maybe just put IE iie twice in the Google search and then even

like I I saw a big boy was singing it uh once you get the big once you get the Big Boy sign you're you're good man yeah

if that's the dream to hear cowbell with your song going on it oh dude don't get me start my my goal is to just one day

be like your big boy uh big boy in the morning big boy in the morning type of

thing I don't know just whatever just call in you get I can't I can't do my I can't do my big boy oh man one of my favorite

Entourage episodes this is this is show on my age Big Boy in it and I'm like before he uh lost all the wait I was

like big boy yeah I know I know so C love people forget get how big he was

cuz he's he's been skinny now for so long you're like I remember when he was chunk man he had that he had that little

uh sorry to C he that little uh what is it that cameo in The Longest Yard

remember that yeah yep yep yeah he's like I did not do it and you're like that's that's big boy that's the big boy

uh I read recently uh he he had stated when he was so big that one time he got

pulled over and hid like a a firearm underneath one of his flabs he said

hey you you ain't going to find a firearm on mine you're going to find a taco or something under underneath mine dude was that a hot Cheeto fry from like

two weeks ago I was looking for that man that's what it was could have really could have really used it when I had the

bag um yeah I'm also hiding a 7-Eleven hot dog Quarter Pounder bun under the thing too

so no shame oh man so uh how does the whole shooting for the uh mouthful of

tacos work do you have do you come out like seasonally

uh uh yeah for the most part I have them like stocked up it's just a it's just a

I'm actually releasing one tomorrow it's so funny that we're on on this but uh it's uh I'm in New York I did I took a

trip to New York and I had the tacos out there hey I'm eating tacos here and I and I I'm not gonna lie I was impressed

but uh one of their tacos was um Cactus which is I for what's how do you say cactus napole or what was it yeah uh

nales that's yeah nales and uh they only had three mates in nopales and

I was like this is I was like I get the veggie people whatever because it's New York but I was kind of impressed I'm not

goingon to lie oh that's bad I would definitely say the Alpa store here at the the Massachusetts Avenue in Blain

street it's called tacos abala that's the best Alpa store you'll probably ever have in your in your life put my life on

comedy shows uh I so I I work with com I work with comedy juice and I I host uh

host shows and um we're just uh our my buddy Raymond who owns it we went out

there and he basically he runs shows over there so he's a by by Coastal and

he basically s gets the lineups going in New York so he'll have like Heavy Hitters like like Mark Norman Jim

Gaffigan uh Ralphie uh buos huge Brazilian comedian um uh people like

that so he he books these shows over there so he goes over there to kind of like show face and be like hey what's going on everything like that but I did

some mics over there man it's it's incredible New York's New York's uh New York comedy is is is uh huge it's it's

it's important it's integral and it makes you makes you hungry so which is which is great oh that's awesome

speaking of uh comedy shows you're gonna be rocking uh this Saturday I believe right with uh where is it at and I know

I know headlining chat it's gonna be uh it's gonna be February 22nd this Saturday uh I believe it's 7 or 8:00

p.m. I got to double check but we uh it's at the standup uh Bell standup Club

standup Bellflower hold on standup comedy club in Bellflower

California um I hear it's a pretty expensive show right header what what's that it's a pretty expensive show I

heard uh you know what is actually $3.99 the best thing ever I

mean you just you just go to the uh you know the comedy juice uh CA Instagram

and then when we we got you hooked up for some for some tickets and also like a event prite Eventbrite uh as well but

we got a great headliner Chad Kroger he's got a he's got a Netflix show that's the guy from uh

Nickelback uh Yes actually yeah he's making it yeah he actually never made it as a wise man but made it as a comedian

uh but uh yeah but uh I got like so many rips

right now like but uh yeah never made as a white man but he made as a comedian he's pretty funny and he's hilarious uh

but it's a it's a great show it's a good club uh great food great drinks All That Jazz yeah it's awesome man a free show

uh with such like uh good talent uh everyone make sure to check that out the

there long be spe and it's also 399 let's go um but it's a great show too we

got some great um headliner our headliner is actually Bruce gray which is I know if you guys saw the tuby

commercial he's the guy with the weird hat uh on tuby uh but if you didn't see

it he's he's headlined there oh that's awesome yeah yeah um did you see that

commercial Andrew I know you're more of a Pluto guy he takes a hard stance like he's all my free cable or free

shows was it like he's more of a he's more of a peacock guy you can get that Vibe for me m what does he are you

wearing a Braves hat 50th Anniversary oh are you wearing a Braves hat right now I

am a for Andrew okay that's pretty actually that's pretty cool uh oh so okay so let's segue onto

the uh let's get into the news then Andrew is that what you're you're you're telling us to do yeah D did you guys see

the episode though I did not but I saw some headlines but uh we can't get in New without

news theight story yes so uh what's up with the SNL am I

right guys I didn't see it you didn't see it you brought it up and you didn't see it

oh gosh I love I love show this pretty good uh I will say my hot take is uh cuz

cuz like I'm I'm basically a young teenager I get my news from like social

media and I just watch like a real of SNL uh it was the one with like Tina Fay

and Amy polar and they um CH like oh Ryan Reynolds how's everything doing and

he's like great why what' you hear uh I saw that part and I was like that was

pretty funny that's good good way to take everything on the chin and I was like uh that's pretty good PR move cuz

it made me like him and his lady more and I'm like that's for sure a move like

and that's very true you know what I mean very very did you guys all kind of feel that way or did you guys see those

clips It's s in the blow for sure I think it I think it really uh well did

you see the like take on what her reaction was yeah she didn't know it was coming I think yeah my my lady said that

uh it looked like she pretend she was acting to like oh be shocked and then I

guess she was laughing right after and I'm like yeah that's the that's the move that's the press That's the PR move baby

like it made it made me like them I'm like yeah that guy sucks the director

does suck of that whatever the whole controversy thing is but I'm like I was on Van Wilder's side again I was like

Van Wilder wouldn't do that he would let you eat a muffin with dog splooge in it

but he's not going to be a jerk J or something like that that's so funny van it's so a

little segue the Van Wilder Van Wilder is actually based off of Bert Cher's life isn't that funny really yeah he uh

he was he was writing a story with like a couple writers that were going to make a movie about his life and the movie

didn't go through so one of the writers changed his name and then changed it to Van Wilder and it's basically based off

of him what is which is insane so uh well a

little that is that is really like crazy trivia but a little trivia you guys may not know is that I don't even know the

movie that the other movie is in oh man I biffed this this joke up oh there's it

Ryan Reynolds Ryan reyolds no no it was it was Bert crusher's other the only other movie he was in where it's based

on his old big joke and I just the machine the machine yeah uh you know the machine was based on him I don't know if

you guys know this we'll use take two we'll use take two take use take two oh whoa

would you said that's so weird yeah well because because it's it makes me sad when people are like hey can you hook me

up with hookah in and things of that nature I thought you were Persian too

man I'm telling you guys it's the beard bro yeah I get so much love in smoke shops and Corner liquor stores you guys

they run the the scene over there it's um uh it's called um back to the grind

coffee it's a coffee shop okay riding downtown Riverside as it Mission University uh uh Miss I think it's

Mission actually or actually University I think it's actually anyway there's a underground uh seller and that is

perfect for comedy they have shows there it's on Thursdays that room when it's

filled is on par with like some of the best rooms in like La Orange County for

sure oh that's awes on Thursdays huh on Thursdays yeah you sign up at uh before

6 and they draw some names you get three to three to five minutes just depending how many people showed up and then do

the damn thing but it's good because like there's actual real people in there you know and it's just a it's a perfect room for comedy because it's low

ceilings and good audio which is like the best thing ever for for for comedy

yeah because they used to hold pretty cool concerts there from like uh some pretty cool acts uh and you know I'm

there in downtown Riverside almost every Thursday but for goth night at the AV so

I'm just my guy My Guy where are you exactly man it's so funny cuz like you

know they're very strict on like what you know any club like they're very strict on what you can have in your pockets you know when you walk in um but

then like you got people walking in wearing like mesh metal Garb and Spikes

all over I'm like this is that that is a murder weapon if I've seen one if they would if they would be upset luckily

everyone's chilling listening to Joy Division and just dancing but but someone someone's crying in the bathroom

1,000% and sometimes it's me I'm like that guy ripped me off I was about to say and it's me

too that guy I was trying to buy some drugs and the guy punked me for my money

shout out to what is it what what is it about real quick this is really random but what is it about morisy that Mexican

people love what is it about them how how often do I bring that up Andrew how often do I bring this up and understand

I wish my Theo was still here on the air uh uh during this because he's a big morsy fan and uh yeah he says

that such a Charming Man man yeah it's it's wild I don't

understand what the fascination is you know cuz like sometimes I keep in mind I love the Smiths too yeah but it's like

of a sign of you know the love that the Hispanic Community has for for him yeah they really do it's like it's always

it's always the same type of girl that likes morsy and it's always the one that like wears super dark clothing and she

has like really big bangs and I'm like it's the same Vibe every single time has like one or two Jack Skellington tattoos

on her oh my God don't get me started dude dude my favorite of course my favorite movie The Nightmare Before

Christmas uh my favorite one I know it just speaks to me and I'm like Get over yourself I guess he I guess you met my

that's a good veget vegan or vegetarian uh restaurant The Oasis have you ever heard of it Oasis uh I it's to I think

it's next to lasierra University so a little bit closer towards that area off of uh like next yeah next to the

universe I don't think I don't think I've ever it's really good uh vegan or vegetarian food I forget which one it is

I don't they might have like Dairy so then it'd be vegetarian but uh dude I I would grab it for the family and I a lot

of their uh Pro meat base or whatever is is Jack uh jackf fruit so oh jack fruit

love it dude it's so good and so I'd get them like Thor thighs and then I get tacos for for the family and I would I'd

be like I brought food for everybody and I wouldn't say anything until they're done I'm like you guys ain't jackf fruit nerd you thought that was cada gotcha

they start convulsing and throwing up like yeah I was like how how do you guys like the tacos it was pretty good huh pretty good yeah yeah you got jackf

to bully me so did he tell you to scram or beat it kid I don't know he

kept saying like skibby or something like that I I don't know what that means dude and he said I don't have any RZ and

there's so they got so many I have a 12-year-old sister and she says some stuff where I'm like man I'm now I'm old

sale some tiki torches on his thing too which was great but uh I just I just last week I

upsetting as long as you have a Hawaiian shirt too you're set you're all you're good to

go yeah I also said like how awkward would it be being a salesperson when

they come by and just buy one tiki torch oh yeah that's not a party that's not
