the better half of the show Andrew Berkeley Big Dog Tavarez a
Get that lampshade off of your head you got to you got to get it off your head guys uh unfortunately uh not with us
today is our senior correspondent uh Jose Luis Gayton he's uh you know busy
with some family stuff going on so uh you know hearts with you brother uh you're doing the Lord's work uh keep on
keeping on and uh you got any generic things to say Andrew that people say uh to to people like that like
um we miss you we miss you you know thoughts and prayers thoughts and prayers
uh um keep on trucking mother trucker that's a good one [ __ ] man life is a
What is this what did they say about what was it what was yours no no
life is a highway you know it's the climb you know it's the Oh that's a good Miley Cyrus song that's probably out of
all my That's like top 10 which is says a lot cuz I love me some Miley i'm a big
Miley i'm a big Miley fan but as always we got a great show planned for the listeners we'll be chopping it up going over some news articles that we skimmed
and pretend to read uh maybe watch and talk about some uh recent viral videos a
new segment that we're going to be trying as well is uh I got a bunch of videos from I don't know what's going on
with my algorithm on social media guys but like the most strangest and weirdest things always pop up now on my on my
feed so I got a couple videos queued up that we're going to watch and I want Andrew to describe for the listeners so
uh we'll have the video for some of the viewers who are watching the live stream or watching it later on YouTube uh but
Andrew I'm looking forward to you trying to describe the chaos that I have ready
to and video for so we'll we'll get that later we'll get to that later yeah but
before that um Oh before we get into that we also have a another segment I want to get into uh today I fudged up uh
Cold Red from Reddit uh there's a lot of um people asking for advice and uh how
to cope with when they mess up we've all been there and I got a couple stories queued up that I think will help
everyone feel better and maybe we can give some advice on how they deal with it uh you know today we don't have a
guest uh our unfortunately our guest had to cancel there there was um how would you word it Andrew cuz in the text
message uh it was pretty appropriate way to say it right uh yeah I think so you
know I did watch the video turn it up i turned the volume up a lot because I was like is there volume to this i was I did
it I did that twice i did that twice so I was like I think I know what's happening but I don't know for sure and
you know I went straight to the comments and nobody said right away what it was they just said "Oh man i'm so sorry."
You know and and big shout out to him uh you know the guest that we were going to have on so that's uh unfortunate you
know something like that happens and uh I hope you know everything's good with his business and him and you know being
safe and stuff but yeah I really explain that yeah it's Jamal Paxton uh and Mr
taste Buds on social media mr mr taste Buds uh with a Z at the end and uh he
has he has multiple uh restaurants and uh he had just opened up a uh rec center
community center for the youth so um we'll be having him on soon uh they
reached out you know uh shortly after the incident at the restaurant and let us know that they weren't able to make
it and they apologized and I said "Hey you know what guys like for sure you know don't even trip hope everything
gets resolved cuz before when they first reached out I was under I was unaware of what this uh what had happened and they
they just said that there was an incident at the restaurant and I have the video queued up I think do Andrew do we play that later on in the even in the
show or no i don't think so i I think I think it's it's on it's on his social media it's on his uh Instagram so uh
there you go he's he's everyone's safe and everyone's okay so that's you know uh real prayers goes up to them
yeah so um but um you know we'll be chopping up trying out some new segments having a good time don't forget to check
out our website palm treesandprogress.com palm treesprogress.com we have the links to all of our episodes uh on all streaming
platforms and then YouTube and then all a cool bunch of merchandise there um Andrew is we got to get a bikini for
Andrew uh it's bikini season he says so uh we'll be we'll be getting that done we'll be getting that done Andrew uh but
anyways you know we hope everyone had a great and safe Memorial Day weekend uh you know thanks for everyone who served
and you know uh you much love to all of that uh Andrew how was your Memorial Day weekend we got Army let's go shout out
to your dad shout out Nino we're representing here uh no dude it was good um I flew in from Colorado on
Sunday uh your arms your arms must be tired ah dude this thing hurts oh what
what happened okay for listeners uh Andrew just popped up his And for me it
was stage right so is that is that your uh stranger hand or what's going on yeah
I know it was a left hand you got it right let's go uh all right so but we
can we can pass over that anyways so uh we we were uh we had a good weekend that
we were supposed to fly in Saturday night and then dude those Colorado Rocky Mountains man they they always get
storms like late at night probably around like 7:00 600 6 7 o'clock you see
the the clouds rolling in and the storms just stay over the mountains and so we got to the airport around
4:30 and we just see a dark cloud of like and we're supposed to go west so the mountains are west is it's just
super big mountain ridge west west y and we're looking out and we're like man It's probably not going to happen our
flight's not going to happen and we were with Antonia's uh twin sister Victoria her flight's getting delayed by like two
and a half hours 3 hours and our flight to LA is still somehow uh good to go
ready to leave on time and Antonia is not a big flight person so we we're
sitting there looking out and me and Victoria looking at each other like we know Antonia does not want to fly right now and so Antonia starts coming up with
all these scenarios of like how we shouldn't be flying we shouldn't be flying our flight should be delayed and
so we go up to the ticket booth and the guy You guys just watched Final Destination One recently too right yep
she She hates flying dude she's not a big fan of it and And you know it's funny and I got to give uh respect and
hats off to uh to your misses cuz as much as you're saying she hates it it
doesn't stop her from flying cuz you guys are always just globe trotting around so uh that's that's awesome
because because I am also scared of it but I feel like it prevents me from going "Ah no we'll just drive to
Laughlin." Yep yeah no dude i I agree i agree for a person that doesn't like it
she does get herself on the plane a lot and very much a legend Antonio shout out shout out
shout out yeah dude and it was funny too so we walk up to the ticket booth she's like "Hey uh we got a text message about
our flight being delayed and now it's back on time." And she was like "Is there any way we could just uh change
that flight and leave tomorrow morning?" And the guy was like "Well uh where are you trying to fly to?" He was like she's
like "Oh we're going to LA but if you do change our flight you change it to Long Beach." And the guy was like "Well we
have a flight coming out tonight to Long Beach." And she was like "No that that's okay." And he was like "Well I can get
you to Orange County tonight too." She was like "No no that's fine." Like no worries and this guy is just being super
cool giving her all the options to leave tonight and she's like and he finally asks "You just don't want to fly tonight
huh?" She's like "Not at all." She's like "Please." She's like "I really don't want to fly out tonight." And the
guy's like "No worries i got you." He's like "Boom boom boom boom." Types it in he's like "You guys are flying to Long
Beach tomorrow morning." And we were like "Sweet we're not flying into LAX anymore we're flying into Long Beach."
That made it a lot better but the guy was great and the the funny part was I really wanted to you know call him by
his name but his name was Dick and he kept telling you "Call me by my
name." Yeah we're like "Thank you man thank you so much." And I wanted to just be like "Hey thank you Dick."
You're what you say all the time isn't that what you said right after you had to bandage up your wrist oh yeah i did
yeah you're like "Actually buddy don't you're a good guy don't say that about yourself." Well well uh Andrew
unfortunately not a lot of you know I'm glad you had a great Memorial weekend um I cannot wait to hear the story about
your bandaged wrist and it goes all to me i'm just going to say all the way to your elbow it looks like from here
and halfway up half halfway up but um dude uh I thought of you when I read
this story about um did you hear how Jersey Shore was popping off this Memorial weekend i didn't dude it ended
up with 73 arrests uh including 21 kids that got arrested uh with minors and uh
three stabbings there was there was three stabbings um I got I got I got to remember not to do by that three like
that i guess that's a hateful three uh but yeah three stabbings um and then the
Jersey Shore uh pier was closed or the boardwalk I'm sorry was closed after the
third one so the first two stabings weren't enough for them to be like "Hey maybe we should kind of shut this down." Uh after the third one I guess they uh
they decided to close it down but yeah man 73 arrest uh 21 minors uh you were
out there i've never been out there so uh it was Did you go during Memorial Day weekend or like a busy weekend h how and
it was I'm sure it got pretty rowdy the busiest I've ever been there is 4th of July that was 8 years ago and honestly
it was more family friendly like friendly so it wasn't too bad but I mean it does get pretty crazy out there a lot
of people from like New York they'll drive down they'll go over there hey I'm I'm tanning here yep yep those Jersey
Italians they're they're not fans of the out oftowners they call them Benny's um Oh really yeah so they have a name for
all the people that come like they they can tell when they're from New York or they're from like not from there and so
they don't really they don't like it at all i do agree with that um but I mean I guess it seems like for obvious reasons
73 arrests yeah man um I I was reading what they got caught up cuz I guess they
had a bunch of a lot of the minors had like paraphernalia uh on them but also um not one arrest was made uh h with to
do with the stabbings uh there were all three minors unfortunately who got stabbed and all three of them refused to
uh to uh talk to the cops and they so they uh they uh plead the fifth as they
say you know and uh and and so hey it worked out for them no one got arrested I guess and hopefully there's not a
retaliation that's inevitably going to happen dude I'm going to be there in a month oh no Andrew be careful someone's
going to go back someone's going to go back well I guess if you don't go to like the arcades or the hookah shops because it's it was someone that's not
21 so Oh my i think you'll be fine gosh that's crazy dude yeah um the place that
we're going to go to is probably maybe like 15 minutes down the down the way from that area oh okay then I'm sure
you're going to want to make the stop right if you're if you're just a little bit No no okay never mind i just assumed
I just assumed i don't know after that after hearing that no it's crazy dude they split it up and like where Jersey
Shore like they've recorded that show there is a lot of bars there's a lot of like it it's two different areas like I
think one is more tamed the other one's more party style did you go to the bar where Snookie got punched at or No I did
i think it that would be cool like you can they have like the stool kind of like a for a
photo op situation where it happened at you can got like sit where you and a friend can sit where Snookie got punched
at and like kind of like recreated or something like that funny that's not bad dude there's your mind there there you
go i cuz you know what I would pay I would pay at least $5 per person
but that's about it but that if I could get a drink there too I'd be like "All right I'll buy I'll buy a drink or two here man." All right that's not bad
yeah uh did I ever tell you uh I went to the the shore store or like the t-shirt
shop they they worked at yeah you mentioned that you also visited the house correct was like a Yeah yeah I did
a tour of the house went to the like the shore store um but when I walked in my
initial plan was just to try to take a picture with the dude you know Danny with with the uh the owner the owner so
I was trying to get a picture with the guy and sure enough I walk in and it's like they call it off season so it's after Labor Day weekend it was a cloudy
day there was nobody on the beach everyone's in school so I just went out there by myself bunch of nerds reading
books i know exactly i walk in and Danny's like "Oh
hey man." I'm like "Hey dude." I was like "My my girlfriend's a huge fan of your show she grew up out here you know
I was wondering if I could take a picture with you really quick." And he was like "No you have to buy a shirt." Oh okay not that bad of a thing how much
are the shirts i think the minimum was 25 okay yeah i Yeah I guess the cool thing
I guess the cool thing is you get a combo you like if you look I'm I'm the person where I'm like "Okay I'm getting
it's like a combo deal if I if I'm getting uh I try to in my mind I'm like "All right so I'm paying like 15 bucks
for the shirt and I'm paying like $10 for the photo i'm taking the picture it's a selfie." Yeah hey man i I mean
you might not know this at uh certain malls for like Santa Claus or but uh the Easter Bunny uh they don't let you take
photo certain malls don't let you take photos with your camera they're like they're like "No you have to use our
Nikon cool pics that Ashton Kutcher was in a commercial for and he have to have us print it out for that i I'll pay the
money not for me not for him to jump in the background over the counter and just jump in the selfie real quick and that's
it yeah oh well then uh I'm not printing it out and it's not it's not a high
quality picture that we're touching each other well I hope I do like that you define
highquality photos from if you're touching each other or not we got to be hugging we got to have a hand around
each other we got to be standing somewhere i All I wanted was a real quick uh selfie so then anyways yeah um
then he ends up saying "Hey you know what?" He's like "If you buy a shirt and I'll let you go on the tour of the house
and you can go in and do that and then afterwards we can take the picture." Is that what you did
that's how you got the tour well I mean it wasn't like super exclusive but Oh either way
yeah and you you still sound like you feel like you got the raw end of the deal well I I had to buy a shirt and at
least with the shirt it came with walking through the house and then at the end we got to take a picture and we
we were hugging each other and Oh so it was a high quality photo you guys were touching it was still on my phone but it
wasn't printed out from a Nikon i forgot you have a freaking like a Android uh
phone where just the quality is just super compressed and I can't I got to squint to see what it is shout out to
Theo never never you catch me dead with one of those uh I'd rather have a Metro PCS phone than an Android phone do we
just talk for like 40 minutes what we would rather have than uh an Android phone yeah dude i should go put my
jersey short on yeah do do it do it i I will talk to the people for a little bit if you if you need to find it but um man
I feel like that's a that's a that's awesome steal and also Andrew you're a great negotiator bro like the way that
you did that was so good you got the picture yeah you walked away from the
deal he said "Nah I'm good." And he's like "Wait wait wait wait wait like if I ever got to go to a a a used car
dealership and need to get myself a new used car guess who I'm taking Andrew you
bring you baby." He's going to be walking out walking away from the guy who's clearly sweating
in like an air conditioned room and trying to sell me like a Civic with like
300,000 miles on it and you'll be like "No no less than two." Yeah you're going
to need to swap a new motor in there like right away bud oh man well you would tune in to Palm Trees in Progress Presents uh what a wonderful time
andrew's sharing some awesome stories from the Jersey Shore he's like "GTL Gym
10 Laundry." Uh did you buy an actual Do they sell shirts with sleeves over there
to my to my understanding everything's just sleeveless shirts like tank tops i
think it it was coming up a little bit on my bicep it was looking a little good it's cuz you're getting That's cuz you're yolked bro
man prayers out for Ron shout out to Shout out to Ron ron really need to stop
stop Ron stop oh man um so what about your weekend
though yeah I I I missed uh our uncle's party yeah we had an amazing weekend uh I got
I got to see uh Theo Luis uh but also um yeah we we had a great weekend it was
Theof Flo's birthday party so happy birthday Theof Flo so we got to chill with the family
and um had a good time at at their house so that that was a good um you know what actually now that you bring that up uh I
learned um uh I learned a new like did
you know there was a thing called Mexican beard dermatitis no yeah so so uh Thea Christie was
telling us about um she got uh we we talked about Laughlin because we were supposed to be in Laughlin that weekend but we were unable to make it and then
she um was telling us like one time out there on the river that she got a real
bad rash on like her leg or whatever and uh she went to maybe a friend or someone
told her dermatitis friend said that's Mexican beard dermatitis and she's you know we were just like when she's
telling me something that sounds racist and I guess that's the the slang for it is Mexican beard dermatitis and I guess
it's also known as lime dermatitis um it's I'm reading this right now it's a
skin reactive uh reaction that occurs when skin is exposed to lime juice and
then ultraviolet uh UV light uh like sunlight so anytime you know it's
because a lot of times when you're drinking a Mexican logger people throw some lime juice on there and then maybe
later on they're going to scratch themselves and then get they have the lime juice on their fingers or hands and
then that kind of gets into their uh skin and then so all the acid breaks down under the UV light i mean you know
as soon as she was making that you know explain that to me i was like it makes sense because I mean I don't know if you
ever cooked ceviche or made uh ceviche with shrimp that's cooked with just lime
you just uh fill up a a bowl uh that like with shrimp and then you just fill it up like with lime juice and it cooks
it with all the uh acidic stuff oo I got you i got you yeah so as soon as I was
she was saying I was like "Oh no." Yeah that makes sense you got you got cooked like ceiche you got son
yeah so so I looked into that andrew do you do you care to see what that looks like show me let me see a picture all
right let me let me let me get this let me let me share my screen right here you are tuned in to Palm Trees and Progress
Presents blah blah blah blah blah blah i got a couple videos and stuff queued up this is this mouse this mouse over
here is messing up when you give a mouse a cookie am I right all right let me see share screen
what a story book you know actually dude uh since we spoke to our guest last week
I've kind of been wanting to write a ch like a children's book write something get published i don't know that'd be
pretty cool oh there you go Andrew that's awesome um do I didn't know I didn't know you had the uh creative itch
like that for something cool i Me neither dude really what What teachers
inspire you to do i Yeah I don't know she just kind of got got an itch going for me where I really wanted to you know
write something and I think it's you know just being uh being able to write
it down on paper uh you know get somebody to sketch out a book i think it'd be pretty cool just to have that
and you know maybe write something for like Henry and Benny um you know as they're growing up i don't know
something something cool and uh for other kids too who might relate to it but I don't know what to write it about
so I don't know i definitely wanted to have them on and try to talk to them again and see yeah oh Andrew that's awesome it's the idea is the first part
man like the idea of you wanting to do that that's like the biggest you know what I mean you have the creative idea already so you got that creative itch uh
you know unlike this uh Mexican beer dermatitis itch over here no it's
Speaking of itches there we go yeah man no lime no oh dude so look at all these
crazy does not look good at all let's see if that'll make it bigger
working we're getting there we're getting there yeah yeah yeah oh there she is yeah oh
man yeah well that that's a crazy thing uh it makes me happy that I usually even
if I have a um takati or like a like a doseekis most more often than not I'm
not having it with lime you know and now it makes me think about like what if you what if it's on your lips oh i you know
what now that you say that I guess I never had herpes oh man i'm just I'm just assume
that's what that was it was just It was just Mexican beer dermatitis that's crazy that's a thing yeah seems
like a racist name though i still I still don't know how I feel about that was she Mexican
uh well that I don't that's just where it's from oh the but no like if you Google Mexican beer dermatitis that's
like a common phrase for it like that's like a well-known in the like um I'm
trying to think of another like sickness that I feel like the flu and the cold
right isn't there like a bigger name for that uh yeah there yeah there is i think
uh flu is I would assume but yeah yeah um Andrew I love that idea of you
wanting to uh make a make a kids book you know it's funny uh I feel like when
I you know actors actors always make uh kids books you hear about like Owen
Wilson I feel like has three does he oh yeah i don't know i just feel like it seems like an easy thing for uh a famous
person to do because they're like I I will I would probably want to buy a children's book written by Owen Wilson
you know what I mean so for maybe Yeah dude maybe I make it about like our family you know grandparents and just
like having all that i I don't know something cool bringing grandma and grandpa um just everyone's story you
know i always I think back uh I mean even the house on Mango Street that
would be pretty fun yes man um I was going to say one of our
uh one of the guests last week I think you could uh pronounce your last name pretty pretty good oh fudge you know
what's so funny dude it's because uh I didn't see it written down and you know
obviously when you see stuff written down you know like how to uh uh you you
kind of say how to you like oh I know how to announce this or pronounce this correctly but uh cuz I heard it audibly
uh I I couldn't figure it out i'm like I don't know I don't know uh and it's funny how what's that called when like
you learn oh phonetically like I couldn't learn phonetically i was like oh I don't know
yeah it wasn't working it wasn't working but I mean dude I can't even do that so I would have been impressed if you did i
just thought eventually you would have got it you know i think uh you would have saw Saravia i got it jess Saravia
shout out to the homie dude we're going to have them on soon again and uh I loved what you your idea of having the
new newly published young authors on sometime maybe like promote their books and that'd be amazing i would I would
love to do that maybe once they turn 18 because then I started thinking about it afterwards i'm like "Oh man I I got what
she was saying you know they're 17 and like they can't even be published without it being through like the
school." So I was like "Okay that makes sense." Oh yeah oh yeah you know I mean if their parents come through and stuff like that that's totally fine you know
yeah that'd be a good part honestly that'd be really cool uh with the parents and like that's kind of what I'
like what I've said about something I would love to do and you know it's still in the works i think about it all the
time on the freeway is just like buying a digital billboard and uh trying to
make it more like community based make it not so like crazy if you're on a
billboard you know like all these giant billboard companies it costs like thousands of dollars to have it there
for a month or even just to get like a quick ad and for me I'm like ah they're just trying to bring in a lot of profit
and for me I'd like to like expose the community to you know what we have in if
you get off on this exit you have you know Fullerton High School or you know you can have like a student of the month up there and have parents go and take
pictures with their kids on a billboard you know like different things in that sense so I think it would be pretty cool
to bring those families on like you said have their parents come by and have them you know read an extra excerpt from
their book and what they publish and just kind of keep on you know trying to
uh motivate you know and keep the inspiration going for them and know that you know people are hearing it listening
to it and push them to keep going for it not to not to drive away so I think you're you're right i think that's the
way we get it bring the parents in bring the kids in have them read about it and that'd be sweet
can you imagine driving by on the freeway and seeing like your picture posted up because you're studio of the
month right fit was fire right fit was fire dude it'd be so cool i think it'd
be awesome i think we we need to we need to bring that um maybe you and I could get and we could have a palm trees in
progress right underneath it you know what's funny is I feel like I hear that one for the schools all I'm thinking
like that's a great write-off that has to be a write-off right that's a write-off that's a write off that's a
write-off everybody loves a write-off everybody loves a ride-off just talk about business for a little bit during
your nice little uh gatherings with your friends and uh it's a write-off baby it's a ride off it's a ride off we can
do some write-offs all right Eric our goal this year we got to get to a
show under the brand name of Palm Trees in Progress sponsored by the radio show
NBC KCAA we got to get our press pass man we got to do one event this year let's make it a goal one event oh we we
don't we technically have press passes i could be wrong i don't know i We just have to like print them out
well I mean we could just print them out but like the ones that are signed by like you know by the radio station i I mean we got to like do what is it x
Games x Games are coming up in July i want to try to get there that'd be cool to go and be a part of a brand i mean we
can meet so many people and I think it'd be really cool for us to you know start utilizing that i think it'd be fun do
you think Do you think Let L Leta Bufani would want to say what's up Buffani of
course oh dude that'd be so sick i'd be like remember when you remember when you jumped out of the plane and did like a
crooked grind on that rail and you parachuted that was sick dude i drink
Red Bull because of you we got to do it so
I'm saying right now this is it this is Are you manifesting live on the air i have to yeah I have to keep us
accountable man i do i do love that oh man so uh Andrew I did mention I have a
couple videos for you that I would love to show you and All right let's see uh let me let me see if I could get this to
be the big one again
oh man all right so let's see how we get the volume on this one angie are you stoked for this just some just some of
the videos and this is your job for you you would tune in to Palm Trees in Progress Presents don't forget to check out our website palm
treesandprogress.com uh on all stream platforms as well check check out all our merchandise uh give us
a like and subscribe on YouTube uh Andrew I want you to describe what we uh
what I show you and you can choose whether to describe it after or during you could do like a playby-play John
Madden or you can uh do a post uh here here goes the video all right
no problem i'm just going to do my
own i just want to chill got a psycho
dude this is chaos i told you this is chaos it makes me
love It does make me love Fetty [ __ ] a little bit more now
okay so I want you to try to describe for the listeners uh what just happened
and for the listeners you guys can check out the video on YouTube just type in KCAA Palm Trees and Progress Presents
and uh you'll be able to see what we're watching but Andrew kill it a little playbyplay what I just witnessed is
there's very nice Wendy's very nice Wendy's workers just you know doing
their job minding their business and someone decides to open up the drive-through window blasting Fetty [ __ ]
jumping through the window a song a song from 15 years ago or something like that
it's It's up there now and everybody knows what Fetty [ __ ] a song it is so it it's just blasting this guy's jumping
through the drive-thru window and on the other end by the counter there's also some other There's a bunny i think I saw
a bunny suit walking through I think Go on go on i'm sorry to cut you
off he doesn't get paid enough none of those workers get paid enough that's funny that you say that Andrew because
one of the uh the comments that I'm reading right now is uh saying "Imagine being 6 hours into your eight hour shift
here and at like 11 p.m some guy just jumps through the drive-thru window blasting fetty on a JBL speaker all the
while a big dude in a Cinderella dress is getting shoved through the kitchen by Mickey Mouse." Yeah that's what it
was it was too fast that's what it was there was a Cinderella dressed man and it was and it was uh someone in a Mickey
Mouse costume um man it's just beautiful uh so I when I see this stuff go on on
my feed I guess I just go down a rabbit hole like most people and um this guy's
got like content on content and a huge following but uh I will uh you know
let's let's go ahead go one more because I I could we could do this for the rest of like the the 30 minutes that we have
but let's let's just do it this way let's just do uh one more of his and
shout out to just Joseph him just Joseph Mm uh on Instagram shout out to you
brother you're killing it no doors no problem what's good man
chicken
chicken
there's a chicken in a McDonald's guys oh Taco Bell it's a Taco Bell it's a
real life chicken that That's what we're seeing i'm bringing it back no doors no
problem what's good man chicken jockey yeah
eric what are you doing in this situation what are you doing i I'm going to be the
first I think I'm the first gentleman who's like just loving it and like I don't get paid enough to trip out on
these fools like that first guy looks so
stoked i got it right here oh man he's like he seems very he he doesn't seem
that bad like he's not Not at all he seems like he follows him online he's like "Finally
finally dude i've been wait this is the only time this is the only reason I've been keeping this job." Um I want to
I'll try to describe it for the listeners this time so the same gentleman Just Joseph MM on social media
jumped through the drive-thru window uh of a Taco Bell late night and um had a m
Minecraft uh pickaxe and this was four weeks ago so I guess Minecraft was
popping uh jumped through the window with a JBL bumping Fetty [ __ ] again
that's my favorite part of these videos Andrew is that they're all the same song he just always pops the same Betty [ __ ]
song and then um there was then he was met in the kitchen andrew uh do you want to take it from there he was met at the
kitchen by another large man i assume that's the Cinderella dressed man i believe so that's a safe bet and Mickey
Mouse was not dressed as Mickey Mouse but right behind him as well and they're carrying a live chicken into the All
right i think this is where we differ on this i am all for laughs man i am so for
laughs uhhuh but how do you not get in trouble for this stuff that Okay I hear
you so like I was gonna say this these these videos I don't hate because like
for the most part they're not hurting anybody i mean they're they're not hurting anybody they're not like doing too much harm this is the one that out
of all the videos I think is the most harmful because you got to get rid of all that food i assume there's a live
chicken that someone just threw in the kitchen like that's the one where I'm
like "Oh okay well that that's I but if if there was no chicken here uh then
probably then probably I don't find an issue." Um how they get away with it I
think they might be like Caucasian oh okay okay y would would you ever have
the you know the the coahones to do that probably when I was like in middle school or high school now dude that's my
problem the guy's not in high school yeah no way no i do love he hypes me up
no doors no problem and then just hoist just hoist himself through the
drive-thru window oh my gosh i'm just worried i'm worried about the
future because they watch this they watch it they're going to do it they're going to dude uh and then like you know
to your point you always have to uh elevate the extremess like you always
have to raise the bars on it so it's like they're not they're going to recreate this but then try to do it more
extreme which would be more detrimental and can be more harmful cuz they're you
know I I see where your uh where your worries come from and I they see more
laugh i promise it does it really does i just I'm always like man I hope my nephews are not watching this and trying
to replicate it i'm like because they have a lot to learn that that's not going to fly yeah
i was like "We're not lucky enough buddy i'm sorry." Since I seen your
like I could see I could see you know some of you maybe your nephew one of your nephews uh looking at this and
being like "Oh I could totally do that." And I was like "Don't do it." I'd be like "Don't do it."
Yeah yeah uh
parenting man i know you show them it parenting man i feel like I feel like they know I feel feel like you know at
the at the household they know they ain't going to get away with that kind of stuff so that's where it all it all
starts at the house you know I agree it does all start it starts at home man i
It really is one of those things where um as we get older Antonio sometimes like "What was it like at your house?"
I'm like "Don't get that upset." Like if you got that upset I'm like "You did something wrong i promise you it's I
mean I think the same goes for you in the sense of don't get grandma upset don't get your mom upset because they're
stern people yeah there's no there's no uh coasting by there's no Oh I just
thought it was funny it's like it doesn't seem funny anymore though the way that you That was such a calm
way that they would tell us Andrew that's so good yeah you brought it down
at least 10 notches yeah at least it felt like 11 oh that's funny how I mean
I How was uh if it's not appropriate to talk about if if if it's not the green
light how was uh Antonia's uh upbringing like Well she's a girl and she has a good relationship with her dad so I feel
like she was the princess of the household well there's four girls yeah there's four they were the princesses
princesses yeah yeah yeah i mean like that you know so is that is that kind of
how it is i mean I think uh one thing that I've like learned just by like you know meeting her dad and all that stuff
it's just there's so many different ways to parent without raising your voice and it's also one thing to No way i know
right it's kind of crazy i didn't know that dude is is going to therapy are you
using better help right now are you going to better help i wish my insurance covered that
oh man real life experiences no man i feel bad i'm like yeah that's just kind
of how I was like that's the difference she was like like you know just difference in households and also I
guess never really giving a reason to yell at is one thing i guess you know maybe they they never did but I also
just see it from like Antonio I'm like it could have been a sports game i'm like I'm getting yelled at like it it it
doesn't even matter that I'm doing something recreationally for [ __ ] right right yeah yeah yeah yeah i'm like I'm still getting yelled at i'm like did it
prepare me i was like it prepared me well i'm like I really can i was like I really don't uh not that I don't take
anything from everybody but I'm like nothing really scares me i'm like that was the most intense time of my life i
remember when you were going to school up north uh in Berkeley and uh you were
like you know I'm like "Oh how is everything up there?" Like you know what are you doing like uh part like where do
you go party and you were like "Go to Oakland like all the time to like I love partying in Oakland with my friends."
And I was like "You go to Oakland over there?" Like I I've heard nothing but bad things like I didn't say partying
all the time and it Well but you said you like you would go out to Oakland like pretty go out to Oakland yeah and I
think you It's like Well I think that did great because I still have yet gone out there uh I've only gone to San Fran
like once in my life and I I didn't make the way to Oakland for some for some reason i didn't I
I didn't feel like going over there but uh I I do remember I'm like "Dang bro."
I'm like "You just go to Oakland like with the boys?" And you're like "Yeah whatever." And I was like "All right this was this feels out."
It's funny dude i I I trusted uh these frat guys uhhuh uh oh uh oh i heard I've
heard a lot of women say that they did that and not uh oh and they don't they
regret that but go on you got you got to pick your friends right but I I trusted them to know not to go in spots that
were not you know good spots so it's like we never really ventured into any of those areas i think honestly
from what I grew up learning and hearing about Oakland I mean I never really saw any of that except for I mean maybe Yeah
you'd see some glass windows broken right but I wasn't there i just I'm walking by and I'm like dang it's like
yeah people do say that happens here all the time was like "That's why I don't have a car." My car yeah yeah i mean uh you
know just like any parts they there there's rough parts or or more like crime ridden spots because of the
poverty and then the drugs issues and stuff like that so so I I get how like because a lot of times people say think
that about Riverside and stuff like that and I'm like "What riverside's awesome."
Like you know yeah dude i I don't see any I I it's definitely it's every city has it man there's no There's no getting
away from it it's every city has it and it's you know something you just always want to put yourself in good spots and
situations and I felt like yeah that was one thing where it's like I was always on alert but I definitely knew we were
in an area where it wasn't anything crazy i think Oakland really had some nice areas and it you know it would suck
if there was like ever even today if I hear like bad talk about it I'm like I had no problems with Oakland i'm like
Oakland was awesome i was like people had love there for like their community and they like you know the people that
like respected it respected it and they want to get that like stigma away from the community so I was always for it and
and I definitely agree with you like you know people say stuff about the IE i'm like well I was like half my family's in the IE so I'm like I don't really know
what you're like trying to say bad about it i'm like I've never had any problems there i'm like I think it's awesome and
it's not that far away like from all these drives i'm like I'd rather buy a house out there for you know whatever
people are going to like not praise it to be that much i'm like that's crazy i'm like it's a nice house i haven't
heard the song OC yet i Oh my god and and and I and I don't and
I don't see Usher uh going over there for to go see the Mission in there you
go he he was here I think like five years ago and it was all over everybody's Instagram that he was here for the Mission in Festival of Lights i
don't know if that aged well though i feel like he's part of the the freakoff uh stuff so whoa whoa i I don't know if
that aged well uh him being out here you know what you're right uh but I will say
on the Festival of Lights I think I went for the first time two years ago and I was amazed i was like this is this is
awesome love that beautiful love that i think you know just all the radio shows and the guests we've had from the
community i mean I've just grown more and more in love with you know the whole
IE community and everybody supporting themselves and like or just supporting each other really you know that nobody's
trying to be too selfish there and they're just always trying to share and you know show love to each other bring
each other up with each other um you know and I I think it's beautiful i really do love like a sense of community
you know and joining a part of it yeah yeah i mean wait till we uh uh one of
the shows I engineer for here at the station uh Rob Porter's I Love San Bernardino he's like a local celebrity
out here uh his Facebook he has the iHeart San Bernardino Facebook group page or something like that and um
multiple times it's gotten taken down for how for like too many followers just
you know there's weird guidelines with social media and uh when it's a group and everyone can kind of post to it then
it's hard to kind of keep the guidelines but I think it was at a couple mill before of like how many people were
following it and then his uh he his shows every Monday night at 8:00 p.m
here 7:00 p.m here at Rob Porter but he shows I love Sanino and he like I
recognize so much uh from when you were saying about the Oakland how you feel
about it like that's what he says as well he's like "Man I hate when people like you know cuz it's so easy to trash uh the IE or Riverside or San Bernardino
and stuff like that." And he's like "Man I grew up out here and I love it." Like you know he's like "And I hate when
people trash it." So like their whole Facebook and his whole show is about talking about all the amazing and good
things that happen in the community and and highlighting community members that you know do things for out here so uh
well yeah we'll have to have him on soon he he was supposed to be on a couple time it's a Pani you remember right he's been on here his his co-host them the
show together the show together but you know what Andrew uh as much as we we got like 10 minutes i got to get into some
of these today I fudged up i I uh or or we got 10 minutes andrew do you
want to talk about your wrist no let's do how I fudged up i knew it i knew it
okay there's a couple just because I I think I I teased this uh segment last
week and I don't think we got to it bro and you is gone but okay so I got
Let's Let's One for one one for one um today I fudged up not realizing
iMes were being delivered to my iPad and my kids were reading my texts so first
off what the heck Apple why does heck what the heck i think I think I'm going
to censor a little bit of it but why does iPad get text messages on it apparently I'm 40 years old and dumb who
didn't know that was a thing i'm new to Apple's ecosystem in parenthesis uh I got a new iPad a few weeks ago and
signed in with my Apple account i rarely use it i learned shortly after getting it that I hate tablets and I prefer a
laptop so my kids watch Netflix and stuff on it could just could left it on
Netflix um my wife and I are in our early 40s been married for 20 years this
July uh oh my you know what congrat Happy early anniversary you guys uh we
have three kids 12 10 and eight oldest is a girl and the other two boys this all seems irrelevant um they're out of
school for the summer already and we apparently are watching they were apparently watching uh TV on my iPad this morning my wife works from home
today i'm at work thinking about her so I messaged her joking but also not joking like "Hey let's get some hanky
panky tonight." I'm censoring by the way she responded with a laughing face
and said "Okay but that was it that was uh But that was it and I wasn't finished with the conversation so I sent
something back hey I'm gonna wreck you tonight no so she So he and uh it's been
a long day so get ready and she responds "Sure big talker you'll probably fall asleep early again." Laughing emojis not
tonight tonight is a good
night for hanging in and chilling out and um
so that was pretty much that was pretty much it he says they normally don't talk like this but they were just trying to be funny and kind of intimate since it's
been a while and um did you know the kids are on your iPad she gets a he gets
a message later and they were reading all the text messages and so now he says
"I have no idea how to look them in the eyes when I get home my precious my precious 12-year-old daughter thinks I'm
a degenerate." And all three of them will be telling their their spouses
about this someday that's funny it's like I just created a lifelong memory uh of just like we all
have certain like I created a lifelong memory in of certain memories that child
children do not want to have that's hilarious
and also I love that my when my phone dies and I can get text messages on my iPad i love
that also my daughter has her own iCloud account or whatever Apple account so
that's for her iPad she has her own iMessage account so that's uh or not
iMessage because she can't do that but you know they also I got a question i
got a question here uhhuh so h has your daughter
ever known or anything uh about you know
you know the birds and the bees well that you also participate in the
birds and the bees uh uh no I don't I don't I don't think
so i hope not i don't I don't even know how that would have have came up uh uh
so I'm going to say no i'm going to say I'm going to say I'm going to say a safe no okay uh any other any other questions
uh had you I got I could rush this la this other one that I've wanted to I've been holding on no you're good i just
wanted to put you on blast one that was great that was great uh every time she opens up my
Instagram oh my gosh i know when I when I open it up I'm
like "Oh man this isn't my Instagram how do I get logged in here?" There's a lot there's a lot anyways so uh today I
fudged up by getting a tattoo that's all I'm I don't want to ruin the whole uh
sub the title cuz it'll ruin the punch line so
uh my my dad passed away a few months ago i was really close to him and I miss him a lot my dad had quite a few tattoos
but there's one I can always remember dearly it was a pin-up style tattoo of a lady in a Hawaiian skirt and a coconut
bra on his calf i always liked the tattoo even though it was pretty badly done most of the color vanished over the
years and I remember our dad letting us color in the tattoo markers when he wanted to take a nap or keep us busy my
mom always disapproved and I un never understood na understood why one day about two weeks after he passed away I
was walking around the city came by a tattoo shop one thing led to another and I walked out of that shop with the same
tattoo my dad had that's beautiful don't you think like that's like I Yeah that's
that's I get it that's sweet um and uh and the artist did a great job at
recreating the tattoo and I was very happy until I got home with and I wanted to show my mom my aunt was there my
dad's sister and started laughing like crazy my mom looked quite shocked now
the reaction I was expecting not the reaction I was expecting at all i didn't understand what was happening until my
aunt told me "Well now you got your mom on you forever in a skimpy outfit great choice
so well long story short my dad got this tattoo after a a year after they started
dating she wore the outfit to the party took a photo and he got it tattooed a few weeks later
so it I was a bit confused because my mom has always had blonde hair the
tattoo lady had black hair but apparently she had a short phase of dying her hair black for a few months my
mom always hat the tattoo they almost broke up because of it she made him swear that she was never going to tell
anyone that story mean ex explaining why my dad ever told us so this guy not only
lost his dad recently now has to have his babe of a mom in a
freaking bikini bra and a Hawaiian skirt dude oh oh no i'm probably going to cover up
you ever seen that tattoo shop or the show yeah like Tattoo Masters or what ink Masters or one of those things yeah
ink Masters yeah you just have to you just have to after that dude i I don't think I could have it on me anymore no
oh man and what if like that's crazy i do I I read that
story and I was like we got we got to do this we got to we got to talk about that i couldn't dude i you know I'm all I
Mine would be Mine would be a tattoo of a lady in a like a windbreaker tracksuit and I'd be like "That's you?" I knew the
whole time oh man oh no you would tune in to Palm
