All right, welcome back episode number 40 The Trilateral podcast. How are we doing guys? Good. How's it going? I think I said this last time. Live in the dream. Livin the dream. All right. So yesterday, right? Yesterday, we had the F1 launch showcase pretty much everything for the upcoming year. Where was that season? Season has officially started. It was in London. London. Yeah. Was it in London? Yeah, this is the first time they were did it. Huh. Plus, this is the 75th season of Formula One. Interesting. And they put it in London. Well, I like that. It was about a two two plus hour event. Is my geography wrong? Isn't that like the same country? Lewis is from, right? Yeah, yep. Yep. Yeah. All right. My geography is right. That's pretty cool. You said, how long two hours? It has a little over two hours. I didn't watch the complete thing that was happening in the middle of the day, but I watched the highlights showcase in all the livery's. They actually asked the teams if they could not share their 2025 season livery until this event. So what? The videos have been on for a long time. Some teams have done some testing. They were one off livery's. They weren't the actual season livery. That's cool. That's very cool. You know, they had kind of their own theme as far as like when they were introduced on stage. And they were some music performances. A little bit of humor from the. Announcing stuff. But overall, it looked like it was a pretty good event. I'd like to watch the full thing just to kind of see some of the other insights and talks about it. I watched a few of the team release videos. What they're talking about the season, what they did to the car. Ferrari uses a 99% all new. So they've did a fully revamp on the car. Oh, wait, that doesn't hold that. It shouldn't. I was reading a few things. What they have tested so far on track with a from comparison from last year at this time to this year with this car. Supposedly, the Claire is a full second faster almost. Wow. So. Well, obviously same track, right? Yeah, it was the same track that they test on. Yeah, for hours. So damn, that's encouraging for team red. Obviously Hamilton is pretty damn hyped. A lot of new. It's invigorating. So. I think it's going to be Ferrari and McLaren again. Early season wild card, I would say is probably going to be L-Pine. I think they could possibly surprise us. The Ferrari looked pretty good. They did a darker red with black undertones. The V-car, which is the Red Bull sister team, that actually they brought back the white bull. So it's got a lot more white on it. Actually, pretty sharp, honestly. Really? Yeah. L-Pine has a lot more pink on it now. It comes about the same steak, same color scheme. I want to say they went mad. Look at more of like a matte finish on theirs. As soon as Martin a little different, but about the same. But. And I looked at a few like, Ferrari's, I looked at Williams, like team release video. And I started watching. I don't know if someone was. I think it was Haas's. I started watching. A lot of new faces on the track this year. So it's going to be. It would be interesting season. Yeah, man. Ferrari is the sharpest one for sure. I don't know. Maybe they could go away with that fucking the HP logo, but. It's their title sponsor. So. Yeah, they got to have it. Yeah. I don't know. Then again, McLaren does look pretty sharp too. Yeah, I kind of I dug the one off livery they did last week. I looked pretty sweet. It was like a black and orange like camouflage kind of. You know what? Haas might have it, bro. That's a sharp livery. I like that one. That's right. How you say it, right? Haas light our house raising. House. Yeah, I think they're sharp when I like that one. Yeah, they're all cool. I like it. Fresh look for 2025. Although it doesn't matter. It's they're going to be chasing red. So. Yeah. Isn't that right? Red ball. That red ball is sharp, but yeah, the house does look pretty good in this photo. Definitely looks better in the photo than did on stage. Yeah, I guess asked in Martin. They got a little more black in it than normal. Actually, they didn't have I didn't see one of those ones asked in Martins. The Mercedes look pretty sharp. They had all the Mercedes emblems on the back side of the hall kind of fading. Those were pretty sharp. Red balls doesn't look much different. That that papaya orange and that black still look sharp in the MacLean. You can't go wrong with that one. Yeah. Yeah. And then they they finished the show with all the teams lined up on stage in the order they finished last year. Why do they face of the interesting solidies rookies? How they pan out? Maybe one of them will surprise us. I think a couple will for sure. I think I could see. At least one I'm speculating one heavily is probably going to end up not being able to cut it. And that's some Mercedes one and a totally. No, this is the first year with a lot of different rookies or this is kind of a cowden. I don't know how this compares to yours past. I know last year we didn't have a other than the mid season changes. It was the exact same grid. Face wise. This year it's man it's almost maybe we have five rookies. Cheese. This year. Because you have had your Anatoli. The help him driver. One of the hot drivers. Yeah, five or six. It is crazy. And then obviously the cards got shuffled about for the most part. The only team that stayed the same was McLaren. It should crazy. Every other team either drivers. You know, change places or yeah, there's six rookies this year. How many total teams are there? Ten. Well, only one stayed the same. Only one stayed the same. I don't know. I can see that as an advantage definitely from McLaren. Definitely. Definitely. Especially if they've they've increased their car in the right spots. Yep. So there's six rookies. I he it's tackling his debut season. So he's considered a rookie, but he partook in three races last year. That's Ali Oliver Berman. He's the other hot driver. Yeah, Bartlett, a Bartlett O. Anatoli, Doha, and Hajar and then Lawson, which is. They consider a rookie. Yeah, I guess he was just a reserve driver before. I would say out of those six, Ali has the upper hand as far as F1 racing experience, probably. Boom. Don't really know nothing about Bartlett O or Doha. Hajar was the Formula 2 champion last season, but um, so he could be a force to reckon with possibly. But um, I think it's it's going to be an exciting season for sure. Hopefully exciting for just one team. I hope, man, I hope panels can just go out and just rip them all every race. I want to Ferrari win every race. I think it's very plausible. That'd be sick. I'd love it. Yeah, I think it's very, very plausible. I plan on watching a lot of these races. We talk about all the time now. So my team better win. The first month will be a little rough because we're starting a little different order, but nah. I think they go out. They win the first one. Other racing stuff. Did you guys watch the day, 2,500 or anything about it? Yeah, I did the guy's team guy won back, back. Yeah, dude. Yeah, dude. I can say that. That's insane. Dude, what a fucking race. That's there. Yeah, do you know? Nasty crashes. There was a lot of people that did not finish the race, which was insane. But, crazy, crazy race. I enjoyed watching that. Speaking of that race, there was a, I don't know what YouTube channel was, but they did a, it was basically, could the 1970 ask car compete with this year's spec car? Could it win the day, 2,500? And they send the race, the same caution layout and everything from last year's race. And that 1970 car ended up taking up. Really? And then with, double the pit time. It came back, it won by a significant time advantage. Had a higher top speed. It was a heavier vehicle, which is crazy. Had a compete, could compete as well, but it was pretty interesting. Yeah. Well, racing is in the air again. Yeah, it was a, it was a gnarly rush. I got a fucking, he like blew in the air, dude. That's crazy. Yeah. But Daytona, I would love to go to that race, guys. I still, still my dream. I keep, I tell everybody, it's my dream to be the commissioner of NASCAR one day. To be my dream job. Still, I still could do it. Commissioner of NASCAR, mega happen. All right. Any other racing? Now, I think that's all right. All right. Now, you said you had some NFL news for us. You had some T bro? Yeah, some, the big, not the biggest one, but some kind of smaller news. I mean, it's kind of big, but from what it sounds like, it sounds like the Saints are going to be parting ways with T some hill. All right. He's going to, he's going to bowl or the Broncos, right? That's what they're saying, but they're saying they're not going to, I mean, they're just going to cut them out. It sounds like, because I mean, if they cut them, they'll save 18 million in salary, cab. So I think he saw another year on his contract. So, oh. They have 18 million, a lot for Tyson Hill. Yeah. Well, he signed like a contract. I'm a few years back. I think it was very signed a pretty good sized contract with them. So, but he's turning 35 this summer. Oh. So, he's getting up there to where they don't want to keep wasting this money on him. So, but I do, I did hear Denver. I did possibly hear other backup areas. Like they were saying the chiefs was a potential landing spot for them. So, but I think Broncos make the most sense just because he'd be back with old coach. So, but that was one news I had for the Saints. I mean, I was going to see what you guys' opinions are seeing. Who do you think he where he would go? Tyson. I don't really know if he's worth anything like that. He's going to be a backup where no matter where he goes. I mean, whatever team just needs a backup quarterback kind of. Yeah, I don't know if he'll be utilized. Do you have it that's been here? No, I don't think so. Yeah. So, I honestly, he'll just go to a team I think that just needs a backup in case they're all in their targets. That's why I'm taking you know, Kansas City. I mean, I think Denver would be a good fit. I can possibly see maybe Cincinnati being a good fit. But I don't want to know how you scheme a guy like that and when you can. I mean, you can have pretty well set up to the. Yeah, bro. Do we think Tennessee would be a possibility? No, no. She goes to Tennessee might be the starter. Yeah, that's so way. I think it's starting position. Yeah, it is both of mine honestly, because at this point with how the Saints are, I don't want to get rid of Derek Car over Tason, but that's just me. I think Tason's done a lot better for the team. So 18 million, a little hundred. I know. But Eric Car, your car, your car, your salary cap. Yeah, he has also has a high salary cap right now. They got rid of him. So, fucking get rid of both of them. They might have to. So, trust the rookie classes out this year. But, yeah, that's the news that got on. Do they got a first drum pick, you think? I don't know if they do or not. One surprising if they didn't know in them. I believe they got to, bro. That's crazy. It whatever it doesn't matter. I'm not going to look it up. I don't want you to fuck that much. But, let's say they do got a first drum pick. Okay. I would get rid of both of them guys. They're up a lot of salary room and just rebuild around one of these new quarterbacks. I'm giving a lot of those veterans. I would also put Camarra's name up there as well. Move on from these veterans that they just aren't doing anything. He needs to get fucking healthy, bro. God damn. Yeah. He gets hurt every year. Yeah. Well, he was playing, but broken ribs, broken wrist, broken hand, whatever the fuck it was. Now that he's played a complete season, the past what, four or five years, probably? Quality. Yeah, glass. But, um, yeah, that's the only news I really had player wise. I don't know, thought that was somewhat interesting. I mean, the thing is, it's gonna have to, that's gonna be a team that just gets hurt of everyone I see. They could just be cleaning out. Yeah. They're coaching everything. They're coaching. Cause didn't they hire? Was it? Kellen Mord? Yeah. I got the Eagles OC. Yeah. It's not bad when he's a young coach, so we'll see what he does. He has a, it's often it's gonna be a lot different compared to the, yeah, they can't do the push push every other down. So, I don't have to say quen bark either. So, it'll be interesting to see how this, he does with this team. So, but I say if you can get that team or 500 or right at 500, I say that's an accomplishment. Especially, it's, yeah. They'd prohibio. Pretty good way to start as coaching career with that team. There's rough. It's been. Well, those are the top I have for that. But the next topic, which is the pretty big news, which is, I'd say good news for the Saints is the NFL is increasing the salary cap once again. So, they are moving it from 254.4 million to around 280 million now. So in the past two years, they have increased the salary cap now by $53 million. Damn. Yeah. So, this is huge for teams that are, you know, deciding if they're gonna keep keeping people, if they're gonna, you know, because now this brings it in for like, I would say T Higgins, for an example, if they're gonna pay them, this gives them more incentive to pay them not the raisins out of the salary cap. So, they just know that they announced this was 16 hours ago. I saw the raisins out of the cap. So, yeah. It's just crazy. It's just crazy.$53 million in the past two years. That works out in favor for all 32 teams, bro. Yeah. All 32 teams. Well, they're gonna be reconstructing contract contracts and people are gonna be staying at their spots, and I think they can give a big contract. So, it makes at least less exciting for a free agency, but we shall see. If the teams still want to sign people. I like that. Yeah. The bills have at least one hold, oh. Yeah. Not caring for that at all. Yeah, they haven't finalized what it's gonna be yet, but they're basing this off of all the revenue and everything they've gotten from new media right deals. That's how they're basing this new salary cap off of. So, good for them. But it also makes individual players that deserve the same darn old and all, then they can ask for more money now, I'd say. Not saying darn old. He's gonna get paid. He's not gonna be going to a team for one of your contracts after leading a team to what 14 wins. He's lost the Detroit twice. I'd teams lost the Detroit and then the Coody Trade lost to the road. I don't know who's. I don't know. But, nah, it's still an NFL news I really had just those two things. I don't know if you guys had anything else here. Dude, I don't even, what is the FNL anymore? It's off season, bro. I don't give a fuck. Cam Ward gets taken with the first pick. Cleveland's just gonna trade their pick away and also trade away Miles Garrett as well. But I keep seeing it. I try to trade up. They might try to trade up for that first pick by trading Miles Garrett. What you got to do, guys, whatever. Right now it looks like everyone's having Cam Ward is the number one pick, so. Good. He's good. Yeah. Right now I think every mock draft I looked at today also, they had Sanders and Vegas. That makes sense. You know, going to Vegas and then action Gentie, everyone pretty much has them going to Dallas. That's unfortunate for him. Yeah, there's one for him. He's, thank you from that area, so I don't know what's his home team. So I'm sure hell loved that, but. So I was Jerry Jones is there that team didn't do nothing. Yeah, that pretty much wraps up NFL news. So. And then I mean, I thought we could finish with just any upcoming movies or TV shows you guys have been seeing commercial wise or just coming out soon that you guys are interested in. You guys all well, I know 100 watch that Chris did you watch fall out? Fall out? No, I have none. I mean, I didn't play the video games. I thought the video games were garbage, but. The show is actually pretty good. I followed a little bit of the video games. I never knew, but I knew people that played it pretty heavily and. And those were the thing I was following a lot of that game news and just. They always seem like it did well, but I never got into it myself. No, I didn't like the games. I played one time and I thought I was stupid, but. I really like this show. I'm excited for season two. TV show was really good. Yeah. But movie wise, the only three that kind of stuck up, stuck out, stood out to me was obviously I'm still going to be happy about it. I mean, happy Gilmore too will still be up there. I'm afraid of it that it might be bad because it's going to be an Netflix movie. So, yeah. So, hoping for the best, but. Those sequels like that have never turned out as well as we wanted them to be, but never now. Another big one that I was kind of looking online today and I actually saw there's, I didn't know, I didn't know this one, but the F1 movie coming out. Yeah, it's going out with Brad Pitt. Yeah, I think that'll probably be pretty good. It looks, yeah, it's pretty wild with him in it. So, the dub that is one of the largest budgets, largest budget of movies is our most expensive movies to film. I saw in the top cast that Lewis Hamilton was in the cast, so. All the racers are because they filmed during the race weekends, the actual race weekends. Oh, did they? Well, okay. Yeah, so they would place Brad Pitt and this other racer like at the start up when they did the anthem and they would be on track during warm ups and. Wow. They even had a cost of fucking lunch. I can't remember what race it was, but they even had a, a fake, paddock, a pit lane amongst all the others. So, that's wild. Yeah, I saw that. That looks pretty good. Only other ones that kind of stood out for me was obviously fantastic for. Looks good. I think it looked good at least for the new trailer. So, I'm pretty hopeful for it. Still have not watched that trailer. So, and it goes good. The cast looks good and then obviously the new Tron movie coming out ended this year. Looks really good. So, the cast looks awesome. New Tron. So, they're great. Yeah, Tron Aries. Really? Looks like it's going to be Jared, Jared Leto's in it. They're bringing back. Got played, Ron. What's his name? Was it Jeff Bridges that played him? Yeah. Jeff Bridges, he's coming back. The main guy from the first one, he's not coming back. It doesn't look like, but then Evan Peters is in it. Another big actor. Wow. And then, I'm trying to think there's another big actor in it too, but not that looks good. I love Tron. It's a great, cool, serious movie. Yeah, it'll be a standalone sequel to the Tron Legacy movie. So, it'll be the third installment. So, I love it. I love Tron. So, the four movies that really stood out to me. I'd say one that just looks good. I think it's going to probably have a little more humor in it, but Thunderbolts. Yeah. It's got a popper on it. I see it. I kind of look at it. It's kind of the Marvel version of Suicide Squad, sort of. Yeah, that's what they're going for. So, and then I'm excited about the Daredevil. Born again, series. Yeah, I did see that bring that back. That is a series, right? That's the Borem again. That was Borem again series. I didn't think it was a movie that was a series as well. Thunder is bringing it back because it's been away for a while. It was good. I enjoyed it much more. I didn't watch it when it came out, but I watched a couple years down the road. It was like, "Anna, it was actually pretty damn good." Yeah. I think I really regret it. He showed. I got, in that round, I got into Punisher. Punisher was good, but just those series kind of just got cut short. I felt like a lot of them did. Yeah, they did. So, but I mean, TV show wise, only two that haven't came out yet. Obviously, Invincible is still a great one. It's going on right now. It's dropping every week, the next few weeks, which is really good. But last of us season two is supposed to be coming out soon. Comes out in April and then the second season of Percy Jackson. And Disney plus, I think it's going to be really good because the first season, I thought, was phenomenal. So, but they haven't given a really state for the season two yet, but it's supposed to be sometime end of this year, I think. And it sounds like just each season is following the books. So, there should probably be only five or six seasons. I forget how many books there were. I think there's five books wasn't there. I believe so. I believe so. I should probably be about five seasons. So, but the show is definitely a lot more enjoyable. The show, yeah, well, the author is actually helping out with the show. Rick was actually helping with the writing and helping with how they should do stuff. Like, because he didn't get a say in the movie, he saw the movie script and was like, no, and what a no part of it. So, the show follows the book. I was pretty. Yeah. The characters might obviously look a little different compared to what they were stated they were in the books, but the story itself. Pretty much worked for work. So, five original books and then there's been two new books. Yeah, they've done some spin-offs, I know. Chalice of the gods and the wrath of the triple goddess. Yep. I read, I think I read all the original five. Yeah, the original five were really good. I think I got through all those. There's a pretty good reads. Those two are shows I'm pretty much looking forward to the most. Yeah, we got a boom, a boom. Yeah, next big event, not really going on. Obviously, we got racing coming up and I know we got what, three weeks until March Madness. So, we're like that. We're going to do another bracket. For sure, definitely do another bracket. So, a bit of crazy year for college's basketball also. I can only imagine what March Madness is going to be like. Yeah, it's a little bro week. You know what that is? What's that? Michigan plays Michigan State. Yeah. I saw Michigan State just beat Purdue, so that was impressive enough. Yeah, but so did Michigan. No. All right, we'll see. Friday night. It'll be a good game. It'll be there B square. Does that Michigan or does that Michigan state? First ones of Michigan, yep. So, the last the last one is in state. So, we will see. Go blue. I got nothing else.
