Alrighty welcome back, try lateral podcast episode 48, uh, how y'all guys doing? How's it going? We chilling over here watching the NFL draft currently the first round of the NFL draft. I'm sure you're watching. Oh yeah. Dolphins on that. Dolphins picking. Dolphins on the clock right now with 13 pick. Pick is in. we're getting there almost halfway through the round full of. No, no. No, no. Not a Michigan boy. Well. Never behind anything. We must be behind on what you can see. Was it Will Johnson? No, I'm kind of grand defensive. Terrible. Oh wow, he went a lot earlier than expecting. Dan. So far, I mean the shot or the draft has been pretty uh, straightforward but uh, that's a shocker. Well, um, anyways, uh, yeah, let's talk about some of one. We had an F1 race. Yeah, we did. Um, good F1 race. I thought, uh, I really like. Um, I didn't want to live. But, um, we got home. We loved it. I didn't. I like that track, but honestly, I, I kind of thought while rain was a better race as far as suspense. Um, yeah. Now there was some good kind of backing for us. You know, I loved Hamilton's schooling. Norris. I thought that was hilarious. Um, just back and forth. Oh, I'm a pass you with DRS. Well, you waited for the wrong moment. I'm gonna pass you back. You went back back and forth with three labs. I love that part. It's just like, well, there goes your, uh, there's one you can tell your difference between your experience. But, um, two Danes. Uh, uh, crashing the first lab. You know, that was crazy, dude. Like, also, what was this hard and looked like it wasn't even that bad? It didn't, but after watching the replay, he, when he slid into the back, he, he snapped that rear wing and when you snap those, you're, you're done. Or he snapped it. Yeah, he snapped the rear wheel and loose. So, I mean, Alpine got fucking destroyed. That car was fucked up. Yeah. Right. That was the kind of sucks because he should have probably finished in the top five. No. I think that Gazzley would have. But, um, we will never know. Now with who was at the top on that leader board, man, that was a pretty stacked one up there. I mean, I mean, Lando came from what starting 10 to then finished what fifth? Four. That's pretty awesome for Lando. So, uh, did you just struggle? Yeah, which fine. And now it was the, it was the red flag during qualifying. I screwed all that up. That's why we kind of saw the, the, the field we saw at the top. Oh, but, uh, yeah, I would say probably, I don't know, probably three on my list so far. I like track because it's a very alone. I love this track. I think this track is very, very narrow. Got good speed to a three D.R.S. zones. Um, I'm honest, it's a surprise. We didn't see another yellow flag, but for the most part, everyone kept it pretty clean. We had, uh, the two DNFs from the first lap and then we only had four cars, not on the leading lap. I like that one. This year a little more and more like the, like the past, the F1's gone out this year. Yeah, it's definitely feel like it's a little more leveled. And it's like good competition. Like, yeah, it seems like McLaren's walking away with it, but like, two races gone wrong and they can easily, yeah, two races gone wrong and they can be out of the running. So, what that show? Oh, it happened, probably, but it was really good. You guys, these cars are really fast. And then like, I also feel like, I don't know, I feel like Ferrari's got some like internal problems going on right now, dude. Well, it seemed like, was it another one this race for the Hamilton, which is like, freaking completely, I'm not complaining, but just talking to his pit. Wasn't he also just saying, yeah, I'm more like, I don't really call it, I'm a lot of the batter, but I know he was pretty dissatisfied himself after this race because his energy didn't seem right and they had posts race interviews. Like, he was just over it. But I know the team principle has spoken up and said, you know, that's what makes Hamilton different than most racers. He's going to be very honest and that his thoughts are not just him voicing his thoughts or being shitty. It's a number of people on the team are, which just things aren't jiving like they thought they would. Well, I mean, yeah, not that the driver is not working. It's just things that come together. So I hope he finds, I hope he's one witness fucking year. I don't know. I mean, there's a long, long fucking season. There's a lot of races coming up, but like, man, dude, yeah, I hope he should be on a podium, at least. No, I'm talking very minimal one, but what? Fucking wins. Like, we gotta see the good one. I think they can get there. I definitely think they can get there. Yeah. It's nicest Ferrari on the podium. So Charles drove, drove great. Yeah, it seemed to be pretty good. He was kind of in that sweet spot, you know, third, fourth, where you're kind of not really in no man's land, but you're just no, he was cruising. He was cruising. He looked good and Hamilton looked like he had some pace, but it just nothing compared to McLean's. McLean's cars are just walking on real right now. Yeah, what it is, but you guys got something going on that I don't have an idea of what it is. Yeah, Piazzries leading driver championship. McLean's got a commanding lead in the constructors. Everything else is kind of bunched up though. That's a McKenzie. Two races. McKenzie said, "Austrick, come in." Nope. So we'll see if he can hold it all the way to the finish. So I think he could take it. Landle gets in his, in his, in his damn head too much, unfortunately. Red Bull is struggling, Ferrari is struggling a little bit, you know, Mercedes could still be a easy top three contender. You know, their rookies just whooping ass. Merle. So, good. Anton Ali. Yeah, in the rookie class, he's just, isn't he super super young too. Isn't he not even 21 years old? Yeah, he's just turned, well, he took though, I don't think he was officially youngest to start a race, but he was the youngest to lead a race. He took that from her step in by like, I don't know, five days. Yeah, I remember talking about them. So, you know, he's doing well, he's doing a lot better than I anticipated he would for as young as he is. Had Jarr, I think, just running into some growing pains. Ali's doing good too, I think. He's just, he's just still trying to figure out that car a little bit. I know they made a lot of changes of season. So, Duhan and Bordeaux, Bordeaux, I know those guys. I could see one of them getting replaced on a silly before the seasons over with. Oh, yeah. Really? There's some chatter about both of them having being potentially replaced with things don't get any better. Every team scored points now. That's good. Yeah, McLaren has a 77 point lead in the constructors right now. That's really good. Followed by Mercedes and then Red Bull. Our driver's, Oster's got a 10 point lead now. Then it's really bunched up between Lando, Max and George. Yeah, the rookies number six overall right now. Kimmy is. Oh, I don't know. It's interesting. We got my name this weekend. And now, next weekend, Miami. Yeah, next weekend. I was filing weekend, my bed. So, yeah, six. This is the next race. The six. Yeah, I do. Yeah. I know. Damn it. My calendar's lying to me. May 4th. 4pm race. Miami. Nice. So, that's usually a pretty good one too. That tracks pretty, uh, no way in my thinking of the Austin one. Or Texas one. Which is the Chinese pretty. We go around the field in streets, Turkey. I wish they'd move this one. I just think it's silly. The way they do their schedule in that beginning part of the season. Because they were in Saudi Arabia. They come over to Miami with a week break. And then they go back to uh, Emily and Italy. And I think it's a two week break. Then they go to Monaco. And then Monaco. I don't know. It's another week, but another week break after Miami. And then we got another trip, we'll head her after the. Damn. So, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, my name is 10 to the eyeball in there. Did you go from the Middle East all the way to Florida and then back to Europe? That'd be two years, you know, community. Yeah, it would be too easy. And I'm sure. Well, now they do the Vegas one during football season. So, yeah, don't. Now, maybe it might just be scheduling on the Miami side of things. It may works out better. Yeah, who knows. But yeah, the race overall, it was, it was good. I like to see Oscar win. You know, Red Bull wasn't, they never saw him podium, but you know, Max, not really complaining, but getting a time penalty for going off the track, Warner there. Yeah, I saw that. That was took a minute. Yeah, they'd put a minute to figure that thing out. I don't know. They should have just gave it up, and then they probably wouldn't have even got the penalty. And then that would have probably actually, you'd probably could have challenged, I think, Oscar then, but they wanted to fight it. So these were just, yeah, looking forward to my Emmy. Fun season so far. Yeah, it has been. I shoot a F1, about a boom, about a Bing, NHL playoffs and NBA playoffs going on right now. Got a couple of exact series of parlays out there. Biggers crossed. They're all looking really good right now. So, shit, none of them is like a stretch, that's for sure. Like I said, the only one we got to think about is maybe like the Kings and the Oilers. Yeah, so Kings by the people. So, yeah, Kings look really good. So, you've been watching the hockey grister now. I caught a few of the very first ones, but I haven't watched any more against this week. Why didn't I watch them, man, especially if you're up late? Are you going to bet early? Hell no. I mean, everyone says that every year about the Leafs. So, without that, they're in the playoffs. We'll see. Other than that, I kind of like maybe the Kings. So, we'll see.
