All right, welcome back episode 52 of The Trilateral Podcast, the three brother podcast. What's up guys? How's it going guys? How's it going? All right, it's going. We had a race this past weekend. F1. I don't know, somewhere like in the little three of yeah Italy. They're fucking shit not them. We'll go to that just pause after the race after the race after these few masters after these. God, that's crazy. All right. But yeah, F1 in Italy, how'd that shit go? It's good to see one of the three. It was Oscar fucked up the first couple turns. So yeah, by turn two, Verstappen was in the lead. First, you know, so many laps, I bet a couple pit stops in there people were starting that first way of pit stops and then guess who decides to cause a yellow flag Esteban Ocon and it plays right into Mr. Verstappen's favor. So he gets free pit stop. Doesn't lose his position. I believe Russell had just pitted so that really screwed him over. Tire strategy. I'd say on Hamilton's part was real good. That allowed him to stay out so he gained positions. Was behind Kimi for a good portion of the first part of the race. After that, it wasn't a full caution either for a icon. It was a virtual caution, but it was just enough to allow him to get a free pit stop and a few others. Went out for a few more laps and then about the same exact spot. Kimi, I believe it was engine failure pulled off the track with that ended up being a full caution. So everyone came and pitted and then, um, Kimi retire? Yeah, he had to retire. Um, so only two cars didn't finish the race and then that's where it kinda of picked up. Um, leclarc had pitted later. So he was up. Hamilton had pitted again on that one. They couldn't pit LeClare. Because they would had to double stack. Oscar couldn't pit that last go around on that caution. Uh, so it was Max, Oscar and then Lando. Uh, I think what LeClare was up there, him though was I believe like in seventh or eighth after that caution. And um, LeClare and Lando were kind of battling it out. They kind of got in a tussle Hamilton ended up passing both of them. Um, that's how you got up to fourth. Uh, Charles ended up giving El Bon the spot back or he was going to take a penalty because they were considering giving him a time penalty for pushing Elden off the track. Um, I think if we would add two more laps, Lewis would have been on the podium. That's how bad Oscars tires were falling off really? Yeah. Yeah. Good to see that he's got land. Oh, Lando might have been able to catch match Max, but I think that probably wouldn't need to pry another five or six laps. Um, but Ferrari is bad as the weekend went qualifying was horrible. Uh, qualifying started off with Yuki destroying his car and almost like he did flip it, but it landed upright on the first lap of qualifying. Um, so qualifying was red flagged. Um, he actually had to from the pit lane at the beginning of the race. He ended up tent, which was awesome to recover that well. Um, overall, I think it was pretty decent race. It got interesting. I wish that that virtual safety wouldn't have played into Max's favor, but it did, of course. Um, overall good race. It did help in the constructors that helped Ferrari quite a bit with them being up there and then Kimi happened to retire. Because Russell ended up only finishing seven, even though he qualified third. Yeah, he qualified third. But he got screwed royally by that first. Um, virtual safety and just couldn't. Again, anyway, from there. Um, talking how many points Mercedes has in the constructors. Well, Russell's been on the podium quite a few times. I know. Not nothing nobody. He has been. Yeah. Anthony's not too bad, right? That's who it is, right? Yeah. And Anthony's been right up there in that top. Seven, most of the, you know, other than this one, you've been up there. I mean, that makes sense, then, but they're all the those are all still pretty close. Still anybody's chance to win, but fucking dude, more, more clarin, man, dude, you guys are just fucking. Yeah, I know fucking nuts. This is a crazy. This should have been Oscar's race, honestly, but he, he really. I'm not a doubt that first that first lap. Another one. But overall pretty good race. What if I did with, I think they were probably, I think they adjusted tire compounds a little bit. So that made practice and qualifying interesting. The medium actually feared well much better on this track than a soft did for qualifying. At least for some cars. And then kind of looking ahead to this weekend for Monaco. They are FIA is making it mandatory that there has to be two pit stops. Really? And something, something about, I don't know if it's three different tire compounds. I got to look at that part in a little more, but so what they're doing by doing this, it's making the race less predictive because Monaco's notorious for not being able to pass anyone. You know, wherever you qualify is about where you're going to end up the race. Unless you have trouble or your pit stops get screwed up. So it's going to be interesting how the strategy works out this weekend. As long as it's not raining, it should be quite interesting. When is the race? What is it going to be for a Eastern standard time? 9 am Sunday. 9 am Sunday? Yep. Maybe that's not too bad. The, I think this kind of takes a little pressure off of qualifying somewhat because I think your idea of qualifying position is going to be 4 or 5 I think. Why? Because the undercut and overcut is going to be a little, there's going to be a lot more strategy there. Do you extend your first stent and then play the long game in the end or do you take a short first stent and then try to extend that second one more? And then obviously there's you what was up? You get twice. So if you do it in the second strategy, you know you're going to be, you're going to have way better tires in the end of the race when you're pushing it. Yeah, you know, depending on your start and compound. Not even that, you're not, like it's Monaco though. I honestly, the first strategy might be best because it's Monaco. You can't really overtake in that track. So why? Well, I think, you know, just in case there's, you know, the position of your pit lane, how long your pit stops takes, you're going to try the undercut, you're going to go in early, you're going to try the overcut, extend it, and then there's going to be at least one if not two cautions probably. Monaco? You know, if we have anything like last year's first lineup, that's going to be wild. Yeah, but so I think there's probably going to be a pretty decent instant on the first lap. I really do. First, are not first, but is it predicted to have good weather? As far as I know, I think it was looking good. Probably good. Hopefully it's nothing too crazy. Hopefully it's good weather. Super Bowl F1. Looks like it's going to be a little cooler, but I think Charles went to Saturday, Saturday, they're calm for rain, but Sunday looks clear. No, thank you, winds on it. I did.
