All right you guys welcome back to another episode of the trilateral podcast. It is episode 57 We're getting up there in episodes as we go guys. Yeah, how's it going? Long week recording on an unusual day, but we are here. We're doing it Got F1 race to talk about Got a little bit of football to talk about That's just right around the corner so you screaming So Last race was the Belgium Grand Prix in spa All right, I Did actually watch the recording of this one There was approximately I think it was about an hour and a half delay due to weather Yeah, I was gonna say it wasn't the best weather. It was yeah, it was raining pretty good They did a formation lap and then they pretty much just brought them right back in And then right back in Honestly, it kind of seems like they delayed it longer than they needed to Because I think they were only on intermediates for 10 to 12 laps It dried up fairly quick Every car finished this race That's a good moment. Yeah, that's good Don't think that's the only one here, but maybe maybe it is not what I think about No, this really that's happened all cars finishing. Yeah Yeah, it sounds like I think it did I just can't remember which one the All cars, but the last one was on the leading lap, which is a nice change Like a lot of this That's a better trend than it has been Overall was a pretty clean race they had a So when they went back out they did three three or four laps under the safety car, so those were live laps at that point And then they did a Rolling start They did not do a standing serve That was Definitely to the advantage I think of the lead the top drivers because Anyone in that right side of the track would have been for a standing stop or just been horrible So there was so much water there Still that's not that big Yeah, so they were and that was the It's like the F8 pondered that they weren't it wasn't until That third lap I think they finally said okay. We're gonna do a rolling start these so the Safety car goes out and then it's kind of up to That lead driver to when to take off Which was land though, but held by the Crossing the starting line, well, we'll think of that first turn P.I. Street overtook him without you know, they didn't have D.R.S. until I Think it was like lap 10 or more when they finally activated the R.S. So And really after that it was kind of a It didn't really change There was a lot of backfield Mids, you know mid markers That got you know switched places while places around Probably the best one as far as places gained was definitely Hamilton he started back in I believe was 18th He did he came up pretty well as a finished finish seventh. Yeah He was the first yeah, he was the first car to hit Which definitely played to his advantage But after after he got up to that seventh place he he pushed on Alvin but Later in the race he had another chance and they told him to coast lift and coast Honestly, I think I Think he could have Been in that top five easily if they were to let him push it But I think they were trying to save those tires The majority of the field were One pissed up Because Norris he was trying to catch P.I.S.D But he had a few a few lockups Couple he went wide one turn Otherwise, I think he probably would have been right there within D.R.S. zone If not attempting to pass him by the end of the race if he could have cleaned up the a little bit of mistakes But McLaren one two And then what Claire finished third I've been a trend lately I know a lot of the rookies have really fell off especially Kimmy, you know he's Ever since Canada when he had a podium he's DNF twice since them It's this the So the rookies have really fell off quite a bit We had one in the top ten, but Outside of that it really wasn't too much going on no safety cars fairly clean race after that so McLaren with a Commandingly that's for sure outside of that not really much more off the track Now remember if we mentioned this last recording, but Other than the final signing signings it seems like Cadillac picked their two drivers We're gonna Sergio Perez and Valtteri Botez At least on that team so a lot of experience between those two It'll be interesting Neil I don't see sight of that not much more Call me the one Got it Um, I guess moving on to some Com news Yeah, we had our first preseason game. Oh shit. That's right The game yeah I have to be done. Lions had three numbers in the first quarter They literally funneled the ball in the first kickoff so I lost the ball. That's right. It is Dude remember sitting and watching that shit. We're like, whoa. Why is this first fucking quarter to play? Well, yeah, the first quarter took forever is nuts Yeah, that was not a good one. I think it was 27 to 7 was the final score Trail I think good trail answer is happy so Really good game happy to see 34 to 7 30's board seven. Oh, they better Not as good so It's a good little start for me at the preseason, but so good for those yeah, the ease and the Backups to get those games in them. So Jim Harbour was like It was treating like a little game. Yeah, they were like I said trail answer on the sideline was you know pushing my other him and Harbour pushing each other messing around with each other They're having a good time, so I'll get that If for any reason and God forbid because I like seeing play if herber has to go out They look like they're pretty solid Yeah, so Me don't be still be a team that runs the ball 65 7% of the time, but They'll be good, so nice Season those only games so far. I know this week coming up. We'll have some more games So we got come on we have the preseason right in the preseason That was just the first week. They always play that half end game first, but now after this next week coming up All up breezing games on the regular So we have a football every week now started that could that week all the way until February now So we got back We got three games Thursday three games Friday We spread out Nice so now that's good. We good to have it back Otherwise player wise There's been some people sitting out in camp today. Some people also got paid right? Yeah, there has people they get to know. Yeah, but John Was his name James Cook bills set out practice today when they asked him why he sat out his response was just business So yeah, I think they're this whole Michael Parsons thing with him sitting out for money I think it's causing more players to take a stance for that the Micah Parsons thing don't make sense to me really because he's a top two defensive guy in the league I don't know why the fuck cowboys don't want to pay him So that makes no sense. He's living like the past three years. He's been like the top. It's been miles Garrett Micah Parsons and JJ what? so I Don't know cowboy you're gonna do the cowboys though so see This I want to name Terry McClaren crossing a trade that's nuts. That was great again I mean, I didn't feel about that Chris. You're watching the commanders Yeah, I know Crazy I mean the only thing is that I can see with them is Terry McClaren is 29 years old He's not like a super young receiver, but then again courtless sentence 29 years old. Just got paid as well Courtless on just not for this I think nowhere near is Terry nowhere near as close as this Terry Terry's been good for like the past four or five years. He's been a regularly good receiver Yeah, but just recently he's gotten really good. That's just because jameda was obviously up to month But they don't want to lose that. There's another one that I just saw that was sitting out for a groin injury It's just like a lot of these big names and like few of them are tight ends. It's just weird how they're all just groin injuries So I don't know if it's the thing they're just putting out there so they're not playing them right away or If they're all just randomly getting groin injuries, I don't get it so Well, that's not the bus in their nuts something I just Catch it or not I guess But other players just getting out I don't think there's been too much besides obviously big Michael person Well, it's been the big one stone and the top three trading spots right now they have for him is Lions is up there. They just keep franchising I don't know what they're gonna do. I think honestly feel what I think is gonna happen is that they're both gonna get paid They're both gonna stand their team personally. Yeah, I think I think they're both gonna end up staying in their team I really don't see Terry leaving. I'd be very surprised at Terry leaves Because McCormon has It's not guaranteed money, but he has a potential of 15 million this year Parsons has Potential of 24 million this year. It's like come on guys It's not enough. It will bill you Yeah, it's just gonna happen. It's it's the same thing with cook. It's like just be content Because if they were go to Super Bowl and it really if any of these teams are go to go to a Super Bowl These players are gonna get that money I know out of those two or out of those three teams there that is very unlikely but it You know get in the quarterback back they they could be a playoff contender if they got their ship straight Um Your team is here so they got their offense together their defense not so much enough Michael leaves their defense is really fucked Oh, but I Get it you want more but Enough is never enough players, so yeah It's gonna be like seven years though that people are gonna be all want to be the next highest paid person in this position I want to do the highest Why don't you guys try to win a Super Bowl first exactly? Yeah Mm-hmm I almost could see them doing that one first before the navy blue for the navy blue, but the navy blue would be so sick Yeah, keep seeing uh People trying to guess what they're gonna do with that rival or he's game against the Patriots and Some of these look freaking wicked man Really? Yeah, is it like wild like out of like Like definitely not gonna happen or do you think some of them are probably capable or There was one where some of them kind of looked like the lions and I said I don't think those are it, but it was I don't know the this one post had like five Different looks and the first one was great. It was like a Um It was a white helmet with a blue bills logo Interesting kind of like like an ice blue Um That looked wicked with an all-white uniform Um I don't know. I'll be interesting. We're supposed I think they're releasing it I want to say it was the 28th for some reason Yeah, August 28th. It'll be actually revealing it But That's for that October 5th game It's cool.
