All right welcome back The Trilateral Podcast episode 87 Travis Kelsey .....sucks Yeah, episode 87 what's up? Come on guys, how's it going all right? We got F1 to talk about F1 had their first race in the season pretty terrible.... pretty interesting. It was pretty good and I'd say overall was the first Half the race I think was pretty solid You know, we got a good taste of what we potentially could say with the new car setups the kind of back and forth their kind of hell of a clear described it as kind of like Mario Kart with the the mushrooms The back and forth you're gonna use your battery you're gonna use it to defend use it to take overtake Oh, it kind of has that little feeling to it. It's not gonna lie. You're right I'd say the The thing I took out of it prize isn't gonna be the greatest is there was only six cars on the leading lab so That's a bit of a bummer I think it'll just get better the year goes on but this one was just the first it was kind of rough but Yeah What you mean how to use the cars and like how to drive them use your battery it'd be really different Yeah, it'll definitely Adjust a little bit I could see them making some adjustments probably as soon as the third race depends on how this next one goes And that the adjustments would be How probably the adjustment of how quickly it charges or something of that nature I could see possibly that's Some things that have rumbled through the pits are ready the like a ruling like a rule Yeah, they would change some of the F.A. regulations Wow Mid season all right beginning of season like that huh Yeah, I think it'll it'll probably wait a bit they want to see how well it does and all that but um overall is pretty good race um You know we had two Two racers and not even start the race um raw Paul Canberg had some sort of issue with the vehicle uh Oscar decided to go out on the recon lap and just Glasses car into the wall actually I think what happened there was It was something to do with possibly the The boost function And it kind of like kicked in or I don't know if he bumped it or what and it kind of gave him more power than he Like it timed it just wrong and obviously the back end gave out and he lost control the um You don't go into a corner on that right He was starting to He kind of lost it like the because these cars are definitely snappier being a little smaller and just the torque That the electric system can give so they are about a bit snappier So if that river end grips just right you know it could throw you um It's a jazzo my head two or three um DNFs Hedge our um Something to do with the power unit Valtteri's was a fuel system failure um Fernando went out And then he came back in but ultimately they just ended up um Keeping the car out or keeping the car in the pit afterwards Uh, what it exactly was I'm not entirely sure but um The other aston martin was 15 laughs behind so uh Pretty rough for Cadillac and aston martin Uh, I'd say I'm pretty good outing for his first race was the rookie he ended up in the points in eighth um You get points for eight plays Yeah, top 10 get points Oh, okay What I think it was only the top five Yeah, it's top 10 Max look out for the flip Yeah, Max got eight points for finishing six um You know he honestly he ended up being driver of the day which starting 20th and finishing six Yeah Yeah, that's those are maybe a damn that'd be a real damn good race for anyone but I think we're so I don't want to say we're used to it at this point but you know we've seen it number of times we've seen better So still good race I think it was a good comeback for him um The lone McLaren finished fifth Lewis fourth And then your top three Third went to Charles second Kimmy and then George won the race um Mercedes looked real good um Obviously when they're not out in front They may struggle a little bit in the dirtier um I think we got a good taste of that with him and Charles battling it back and forth um Ferrari I think they fucked up a little bit on that first or second virtual safety car I think they should have pitted one of them at least Um, I know Hamilton was quick to question it Why one of them didn't go in to pit um So they they stayed out pretty long um on those medium tires they had um You know both Ferrari's led the race at one point Those exactly Mercedes came back The Mercedes came back pretty strong Yeah, those nice years excited to see them out front for once, fuck Yeah briefly If they were to maybe flip that strategy a little bit I think they probably could have got a sank out Win in the race might have been stretching it but uh I think one of them was fast Yeah, he definitely was fast um You know Lewis Honestly and another lap he would have passed Charles I believe Really? Because he he only finished like 0.6 behind him So I'm not gonna do that like dumb shit where They're real questions like they're real like you know strategic I'm like they're placing if they're liking a spot like that right I think they would allow them race especially Lewis being a slightly fresher tires and maybe having a little more pace Um Lewis definitely had more pace right I felt he did I know it's still a good start for him Yeah I'm excited to see him back up at least a little bit you know higher than the leading board Learboard Mm-hmm Uh But yeah overall is good It was good to see a race finally back in action Um Little reliability issues with some teams um But we'll see where this next race this weekend goes. We're gonna China this weekend Um This track will definitely be different um It's a full it's a true circuit course so Little less opportunity to overtake Um So see how these new regulations go um But yeah I think it'll probably right there you know I'm I'm clearing my kind of swing back a little bit Especially if both of them can make it to the grid um I tell you Ferrari has something pretty spot on when it comes to start Um really They've seemed like they got that code locked down pretty good And it showed real good in this race Um Let's hope they uh have a good poll you know I mean we can uh you know have one and two Maybe they can hold the whole race wired wired next to China Especially yeah qualifying was a little rough for him It didn't go as planned um What would they I uh what did they start They started I think six and Worth I think was qualifying pretty sure that's what it was Um Fourth and seventh Okay They had the mcclaren's in between them which Oscar didn't even start so there was a gap there already Um I think hadger got fortunate in qualifying I don't I don't know if he really should have been up there that far but Well Yeah, they didn't really yeah qualifying was kind of rough for him Ferrari Really Yeah, Mercedes were the ones that really improved 80s look good They definitely look good for sure George Wilson We'll see what we'll see we got a full circuit course China's a little different so I don't know if any teams will bring anything new right off the bat but maybe um What time is this race and when can we watch it Well we're in the US so the only way to watch it's through Apple TV um I it's bullshit, but You can leave illegally streaming um you can Have a VPN and watch it a different one a and Or get sky one sports and VPN somewhere else How much is Apple TV 1299 a month Yeah, I'll probably just get it at this rate because the VPN and Sky Sports you're gonna be Probably in the 80s Once it's all said done a month Um close to it Jesus Yeah Apple TV.
