All right welcome back, The Trilateral Podcast Episode 100. Let it say triple digits. All right. Holy shit. It's a lot of episodes guys. Oh yeah. Thank you. Couple things to talk about. Couple things wrapping up. But we did have F1 this week. We had the Super Bowl of F1 although it doesn't really, you know, being a Super Bowl of F1 is not always the most exciting. That is true. Yeah. It was decently I guess exciting you could say. It saves probably one of the more exciting ones in years past, for sure, compared to years past. You know practice, first two practices pretty well. Fauri was looking pretty well spot on. Yeah. I think we'll clear, there was the fastest Fp1, then Hamilton, Fp2. Then, Kimmy got into that mix. I believe he was fastest Fp3 and then both Fauri's are right after him. Going into qualifying it was a bit of a shootout. I just, as they were rolling through, it just kept engine who had pole position. Ultimately it ended, I think Max had it and then Kimmy ended up taking it back. So, you're official. Starting grid would have been Kimmy, Max in the front row, Foulbot, Lewis Charles, Isaac, George, your Papayos, Piafstrian Horus, Gazly and Liam were your top 10 starting grid. And then it followed by the Williams pair. Nico was followed by LP and Frank Calapinto and Linbaum and then and Bordeaux, Arcanne, Perez, Berman, Otas, Alonzo, and Stroll. Finished out the pack as you're starting grid. Weather was great. We got to line up and start off and yeah, everyone takes off except Max. They did have gas in it though. Sounded like something with the power unit once again. He did get it going and kind of limped it along back into the pits, but yeah. Yeah. Right off the bat, he's out. Nothing too crazy there for a number of apps. It did get interesting probably within the last, I'd say, that last little bit was a little bit. Yeah, last 15 laps. We did have. So prior to that, we did have three other retirements. Both tests was having some brake issues overheating. Berman, I don't recall what his ended up being. And then Norris had reliability issues again. Power unit related or drivetrain of some sort. And then right about that 15 to go, Mark, Lance ended up hitting the wall. Oh, we have a yellow. We get it going again. And then we got to restart. And the packing order pretty much stayed the same throughout that. There was a little bit midfield adjustments. Nothing changed very much from like your pit stops. Kimmy had such a lead on there when he pitted. He came right back out and first. But after that, restart Charles. And then they actually red flagged it with about, I think it was 10 laps to go. The red flag was due to I don't remember what turn it was exactly, but it was the same turn that stroll and Charles ended up striking the wall. The road was actually degrading. Quite interesting. They said it probably was somewhere in the, they probably added almost half an hour to the race overall. That's it. That shit's crazy to me how like, bro, this is medical, man, you're gonna let that kind of shit. Like, how is that not like how is not every inch of the track, like fucking inspected and monitored. You were a star. Yeah, definitely. Like what that high profile. No, it did look like it was an area that maybe had been recently repaved or something. Like, that wasn't. That's the kind of way we hear about that. Like the fucking Detroit Grand Prix, not fucking F1 Monaco. Yeah, that's a Detroit cream or that. There's some look these in there. Yeah, going back, Senson, before it kind of finished up, what happened. This was called out. I believe about lap 10. Sergio Perez actually called it out and noted, hey guys, we need to get with FIA. This, and you can see it in his on board footage. You can see it already degrading. Lap 10. Really? And he noted it. And then come around. Oh, stroll hit. He's like, hey guys, I told you about this. What are we doing? So it was, it had been noted for surely by that one driver. And I imagine others did, but I know there were some clear audio, video, and radio chatter from him, specifically to his team saying, hey, this needs to be noted and they need to figure it out, because something's going to happen that it did. So, once they got everything, they brought the street sweeper out, looked at it, they decided to continue the race. Now, restart was interesting. It definitely obviously closed all the gaps at the point prior to the red flag. There was only three cars on the leading lap. So, a little bit of a perspective there. How the top three were just flying through the field. Out of the restart, there was only one more car that ended up having to retire, and that was a science. He actually got struck twice. One through one of the big hair pins, they were going too wide, which was just wild watching it. Hawkeon-Barrick hitting, he kind of did a 180, or kind of popped out of the race line, got going again, and then I think it was two turns after that. He got struck again. I don't recall by who, but it ended up being turned around. And at that point, he just went off to the side of the track, and it was done. I was out of that, came me and ended up taking it. It was his fifth and a row, which is wild, followed by Lewis, and then technically, Gazzley crossed the line third, but due to some time penalties, which that was another thing to know, which was kind of wild. And the announcers were just like, what's going on? I believe it was seven or eight pit lane infringements for speeding were noted and dulled out time penalties. Probably one of the most notable ones outside of Gazzley was Russell during the first LFL, they double stacked while he didn't properly serve that time, because he could have served as time penalty had, and would have been clear and free. And I think he would have stood a good chance of actually being on that podium also. Yeah, but due to that, I'm back in during those last few laps and serving that ended up pushing him out of the points, but with Gazzley being pushed down, Isaac ended up taking third. So that was his second, I think, first of the year, second overall. So yeah, it was Kimi Lewis and Isaac were here in the podium. Don't orange. And then P.A.S. was fourth, lost and fifth, Lyndon Balm six, Gazzley seventh, Elben eighth, Akhan ninth, and then technically Perez finished tenth. That would have been Cadillac's first point, but due to the line up for the red flag, he was out of his box before the start, so that pushed him out of the points. So Fernando actually got his first point of the season. So first points midway did the same thing. What a guy. Technically Cadillac did get their first points, but couldn't keep him. So outside of that, so so Kimi's off to a commanding lead obviously it was a grand slam for him. Hole, Fassel's lap, glad the entire race. Crazy. There was a record that Hamilton did end up tying with that podium also. He tied H and Senna with the most podiums. Eight at Monaco. So another feather in that, that guys cat, man. Love it. Looking ahead, we have this weekend, the Barcelona Grand Prix. We got nine and a half hours before FP1. Nine am racists Sunday for us. I am formidable. A few things to know, a few teams are they are letting the reserve drivers partake in a practice. So some drivers will have last practice and others. Notably Kimi will not partake in FP1. And I don't recall the other ones off top of my head, but that's probably the most notable one. And then last week, we got to mention, when we recorded a lost Vegas extended the F1 contract. I believe it was for another 10 years. So we will have the Vegas Grand Prix for quite some time. I mean, we should have expected that or knew that when they were building that big ass, you know, that's one thing out there, whatever it was, the building. Yeah. I forget to probably get extended, but I thought maybe a couple of years to hear there, but now 10 years extension. We got a big one. That's good. I don't think it's... Yeah, they got what baseball coming next season with the filing season. Right? Where's it this coming season? I think it's this next season. Yeah, I thought it was next season too. Yeah, they're hockey teams competing for the Stanley Cup as we are recording. So another one. Another one. Another one. So not surprising, but yeah, looking forward to Barcelona Grand Prix. We'll see how this one. Fairly fast track. So I don't think there's any big upgrades planned for this track. I recall for teams, but never know. I think that covers it one though. Well, the huge sounds good, good. We got next. We want to talk about NHL. Seriously? As we were already mentioning. They just a little... Yeah, NHL. What are we going to do? We're watching. We got Game 5 tonight, right? Game 5 on right now, second period. Who's winning right now? Hurricane. 3-1 right now. There's been some crazy games though. What was it last Saturday when Vegas was up for four rip? Yeah, in Carolina, scored four, but then thankfully, Vegas pulled it off in double-o-t. Three goals in like 39 seconds? Yeah, freaking wild. I didn't even want to turn it on because I saw that game going, I was like, "Oh, 4-0, I'm like, okay, whatever." That was insane. And then I turned it down for a moment, like, "What's going on here? Where are we tied up?" Exactly. That's where I saw it. I'm like, "Wait, what the fuck?" Yeah, that was a good one. They've already had two going to overtime. I honestly thought Tuesday that was going to overtime, but yeah, I couldn't pull it off. Yeah, I'm going to see what the series is going on. Hopefully, we'll see all this game wraps up. Honestly, with this series, you never know. Vegas could score two goals here in the next fucking 20 seconds. We'll see how this one goes. Obviously, I want Vegas to win it, but we'll see. They're in Vegas next game for game six. They better not fucking lose in Vegas, so. Yeah, they won't. They'll go to game seven, probably, but somehow, they'll see a thing. They can take this one off and they can win, so they'll figure it out. It's not over. It's a three-hole game. That's a close game for these games, so I have to get up by five to be able to block, I guess. All right. I'm at the A-Playoffs. Yep. All right, so the NBA playoffs talk about a really good series. This is an amazing series, guys. Every game is about the next step. The next game for crazy history was made. Yeah, that would be nice. How much for the down by? I don't know. Did we have the largest? What? Wasn't it 20, 30 points down or more? They were down to like 29 points. That's insane. It's the largest finals. It's the largest half-time lead in final history and the largest come back in the final history and the same game. Obviously it'd be the same game. Well, actually, maybe not. I mean, couldn't, but both of those in the same game. No, yeah, that was wild. I wish I would actually watched it instead of watching the highlights, but still. It was still pretty insane. At that point, you got to go for the-- I mean, I was already going for New York, but it was fantastic. That's a good game, you know? It's crazy to watch the videos now. Today, I spent a lot of time watching all the videos of Bosphogamish. All the celebrities there that were just losing their minds and were siding, going nuts, f**king Larry, whatever the guy's name is. He's like Larry, something or something Larry, who has court side seats. He's almost fainted and fell to his back. His shirt was like crazy. It was going nuts. It was insane. Yeah. Timothy Shilomey was dancing in the like, with his shirt off and the f**king all of it. Jeez. Swilesh*t. When New York wins, that city's gonna f**king go wild. That city is gonna be done so. I wouldn't want to be there in New York, dude. No, it's gonna be f**king hell. No. It's gonna be so much shit happening that night. Yeah, that's a wild game. The announcer's been really ripped on the spurs. I was like, wow. They shot 13 threes and like missed all those things. Dude, they were just like already like talking about going back, like they were going to be like, all right, we got two two now. Yeah, it is. Like they got way too confident. I'd rather them lose this next one in San Antonio. It's just one in San Antonio, right? Then they go back to New York or is it? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I want to see them win in New York, dude. That would be something to say. I don't, if they got the opportunity, they're gonna win. Yeah, they're gonna f**king, they'll probably just after that, dude. How does San Antonio and bounce back? I get there at home, but how do they really come back from that? Oh, they're not winning the series. The series is over. F**k. No, the series is over. How do you even win another game for that? The end of the year is the next year and the winner is five and they're winning in six. And that's it. They're nice. Oh, wait. It's the game seven. No way. This would be terrible for f**king, if they f**king lose a three-one series, the city's gonna also still burn. Yeah, it could be really tough. Think about it. They would have lost last night though. They would have, I think it would have been, and I told Dad this, I said, I think they were, the next would be in a worse position, if they were to lose games three and four at home after having a two-o lead in the series and go back to San Antonio, even rather than San Antonio losing the first two games of the series at home. Yeah. I think the next year in a worse situation at that point, but they proved this wrong, less than crazy shit. They definitely did some, but yeah, go any or cursor. Yeah. What else? We covered. You guys watching anything lately? Do you want to see those new release of us? Well, like movie-wise? Yeah. It's got SawScary Movie 6. That show is pretty f**king funny. That was pretty good. Do you see Mando Yoda? No, I have not. I want to see it. Yeah, I've not seen it. I've not seen it. It looks good though. So, I forgot that came out. Yeah. Well, they haven't been advertising it at all. For a Star Wars movie, they haven't advertised it to shit for it. No, I will say marketing seemed to kind of go down a bit. Like, every sum, maybe the week prior or the week two weeks prior, but it did seem to kind of lessen. Yeah. I mean, it was the worst first weekend Star Wars movie ever. Yeah, it did worse than Solo. Yeah. I was very surprised to hear that. It wasn't by much. It was like not even a few hundred thousand dollars, I think, but still. I was surprised that it did worse. So, just how big the Mandalorian TV show was, I thought this was going to be huge. So, I still obviously want to see it. So, yeah, for sure. Definitely, in my list. Yeah. Masters in the Universe is also up there for me. That looks good. Yeah, that's the one that just came all right. Yeah, that came out just past weekend as well. So, Jared let us skill it towards it. I can possibly, it might be not bad, I mean, as long as, you know, he just, he's not a lot of good movies with him, himself. So, the advertising is starting tickets for the Odyssey. Yeah. That looks amazing. That's definitely my most typed up movie of the year. That's been, I've been typed with that for over a year now. So, I really want to go see it and fucking the, what is it? The 80? What is the score? Oh, I mean, the big IMAX grand Rapids, yeah. But it was actually shot in, but it's already fucking sold out. Fucking, you know, people resell the tickets for like $90. So, $100 for a freaking ticket to go see it. I mean, I would still go fucking see it. So, yeah, nothing I feel my left. So, I just haven't, haven't made it out to watch, you know. For sure, for sure. But, I really don't get anything else really to talk about besides those. If you guys did, did everything else? Yeah, the one contract, but, you know, we don't really like, we're talking about that team, so. Yeah, we don't get a fuck to talk about them. No one cares about them. We don't got to talk about Bruno. No, it's like, fuck, I, fuck, Kermit the Frog. What happened? You know, you know, Kermit the Frog. Where's the red and, what, red and white on Sundays and what, yeah, white and red is, you got a contract extension. So, 23 for, is it gonna be healthy to play? Like, start? This year is gonna be, I'm pretty sure for at least a couple of weeks, I would think. I thought you got hurt towards the end of the season, so. Yeah, I don't think he's gonna be back for a bit, but. And still, it's fucking, yeah, they're gonna give him money, so. Yeah, first half a billion dollar player. Welcome. He's a first half a billion dollar player. You? Wild. What do you pay to 500 million? Yeah, like, uh, how much is the Kermit? Or, I like, 64 million a year. Oh, shit. 64 million a year is getting paid 500 million. How much was it guaranteed? No, guaranteed. I like the, I bet it was probably in the low fours. No way. I bet it was. I don't know, I don't cover that exactly in this one, but all of it's guaranteed. That would probably. Jeez. So he is the, yeah, definitely the highest paid player in NFL, based on average salaries. The highest paid player period is fucking American sports right now. What are you talking about? No, we got baseball players. Yeah, some of that freaking show has making like almost 80 million a year. Once he gets off the little contract he's on his first few years, he's only making a few, but then he gets paid like 70 something from the Dodgers. So currently, it was like a 12 year contract. 64 million a year, who was getting paid more than 64 million a year right now sports. I mean, with endorsements, I'm sorry, that's not, but that's kind of, I'm counting the endorsements. He's, yeah, he's probably making over 100 million straight contract. He might be up there. Contract for Soto. I know live though, live golf. I feel like most live guys are making that much. Well, not now because they cut a lot of the income salaries, but Yes, one Soto is 765 million. For the Metz and then Soi Otani, 770. Yeah, this is huge. So all those are the only two that have a higher one than his now. So, baseball, so I have a fucking salary cap pretty much. They don't, they don't care. But football is pretty much there too, so they're getting there. He's getting paid more than the bronze. So, yeah, the bronze, I can't pay shit. He's still making good money, but still, it's also like 40 years old though. So, it makes much easier to say Soto gets paid a year. He was getting, he was, well, 775 million dollar contracts. He probably, he's probably making over, he's making over 70 millionaire easily. Because I think it was a 10-year contract, so he's probably making all that 70 to 76 millionaire. That's not all. Wild, fucking wild man. Yeah, that would be, that's just crazy. Wild shit. Give me a half percent of that. Yeah, obviously. All right, guys, anything else to add? Go bills. All right, go bills. Jeez. All right, well, I think that wraps it up for episode 100. In the books. Thanks for listening. See ya. Later.
