All right, welcome back The Trilateral Podcast episode 102. How's it going my brothers? I'm gonna go on spin a little bit. I said has you said has everyone doing good Happy 250 to our great country. Oh, yeah We are recording after the fourth Little hide it in there Yeah lots of exciting stuff going on the last what three weeks two weeks two and a half weeks Yeah If one had two races, right? Yep, we had the Austrian Grand Prix at the end of June and this past week and we had the Great Britain Grand Prix Austrian Grand Prix Subpar for race Didn't watch in its entirety, but not much to really Report on that one I think that was qualifying I think max ended up max go off I think yeah, he did So they really weren't looking at Much of a You know they're thinking probably Prinat fourth fifth sixth range Not said of that it was pretty much a three-stopper for the majority of the team teams out there as far as pit stops go The It for D&Fs both Cadillacs one William didn't one aston Martin Only had eight cars on the leading lap it was looking like a pretty strong fight for Probably Louis Louis at the time But um ultimately the Mercedes got ahead of him Pits up didn't quite work out for them Not that they're bad pit stops. It was just timing and how the race was going I Believe there was one I think there was a virtual I don't think there was any full safety cars for that one But um ended up being Russell overstepping cameay for your podium and then Oscar Lewis Isaac Lando Charles Liam and Lyndon Ballin, where your top ten So Russell kind of came back that race The race that I honestly think was the better of the two was the British Grand Prix Pretty strong qualifying we had Oh It was also a sprint weekend Louis actually started on started first on the grid for the sprint race I Was looking pretty good most of the weekend Mercedes still looked fairly strong max looked pretty good too Going into the Sprint race pretty well battle with I think Hamilton led or decent portion that can be caught up to him And then Lando gained some ground in there too So it's Kimmy Lewis and Lando for your sprint race I believe yeah, everyone finished that so it was a clean sprint race But some added points for your runner your champion runners and then going into qualifying Kimmy ended up taking pull Both Ferrari's were there Simon third and then Russell Isaac Lando max Oscar Lyndon Ballman loss and where you're starting ten Pretty interesting race the the a lot of back and forth With how these new regulations are The Trying to think what lap that was Glitter partial No, because those two had to retire So we only had three that didn't finish the race 16 cars on the leading lap which is a nice change Lot of back and forth racing overtaking especially in that front group Came down to about His Charles lead Pretty good portion of that race Then Mercedes were back and forth for stepping was up there at one point he was Actually, I think he did lead for a little bit too And then between pit stops and all that There was Like just before that Yeah, it was Kimmy I Think he was running second or third and Something broke on the car He just really dropped out had to go into for obviously a pit it looked like the The break duct at the front of the vehicle one of those broke so like turned in and it was just causing some erratic shaking and They got at fixed he went back out Wasn't doing too hot with Standing the track just from a limitation standpoint, so I think it affected more than just Then being able to take it off So he dropped down quite a bit Amongst that I believe was about Five laps to go Max ended up I Think he actually something broke on the back of the car because he just kind of He could he tried to slow down and straighten the car, but it just didn't straighten out he went flying into the gravel He was running actually him and Hamilton before that was battle on out pretty good Because he was because I think that was actually for yeah, that was actually for a second Prior to him leaving the track and crashing Didn't hit the barriers or nothing, but Just got beached in the gravel So that brought the safety car out So a number of cars came in and pitted Russell decided to stay out so he got ahead of Hamilton The way it had been posted on the time sheet, you know, the announcers like okay, you know We're gonna have that last lap shoot out. You know safety cars coming in. They're talking about it. They go past a turn Oh, the safety car is not coming in So there was no shootout it actually ended under the safety car So that those pit stops were all for nothing So it should have been a Ferrari one two, but do the FFA designing that to bring the safety car in it ended up being a Charles Russell Hamilton podium And And then it rounded out Norris Isaac Liam Lyndon bomb or to the order to let go Kalapinto and gazley were top ten Wow A little late action, but overall the race was good. It was back and forth a lot of overtaking Just with the overtake and the power harvesting So there was a lot of back and forth between the number of the racers Fairly clean race honestly Kind of sucks. They kept that safety car out there that would have been a That had been a fun last shootout lap because Hamilton actually Went in when he pitted he actually put soft Sun So I'm sure he would have gotten passed Russell pretty easily if not even challenged the LeClair for The actual in which would have been a while Being his home race But Charles one one that's been It's been like two years I think since he's actually won a race Might actually been when he won Monaco was his last win So good results for prior What was up they Monaco was his last one. Yeah, we've so So with that Inclusion of that race our driver standings Can be still leading with 179 Russell with 154 Hamilton with 147 and Charles with 108 Team standings obviously Mercedes has got quite the lead with 333 points Followed by Ferrari with 255 and McClellan with 179 A lot of races still to happen Well Honestly think it's you know one or two retirements Lewis could easily jump back on top or get on top You just got to win you gotta keep winning No, just gotta keep winning. They look good. It's just they don't have that full performance like You know they can get Mercedes and stuff in the turns and at the start you know they chew them up at the start The start of this race was great. They just Ripped pass Kimmy One thing that hurt Lewis maybe a little bit. He probably would have stayed up higher On his first pit he did have to take a five-second time penalty because he did fall start at the beginning of the race Little on characteristic, but So that was a bit of a bummer Wow Yeah, but looking ahead we have the Not this weekend, but the following weekend we have the Belgium Grand Prix Whoops that track is freaking amazing. That's one on my list. They'd love to get to Really? Yeah, that's got that It looks like a very like low-speed term, but they just ripped through it and it goes uphill You see the picture you you'll know which one I'm talking about It's got all the the yellow red and On the corner it looks like it'd be something you have to slow down for but they just they can go full speed through the Pretty sweet track With the Yeah, so that was round nine We still have we still got a lot of races. We still have 13 races so That's a lot of time it could be happened. Yeah, I could Hamilton could easily Get back up there how clear could even gain ground I know he still seems to be struggling with the car more than Hamilton, but you know, this was a good race for him so Hamilton is the only only driver this season to Finish every lap and score points in every race Yep, so he's got that going for it You know, he's had a podium in Albutt Two races Three races Four four Yeah, because he went second second one Barcelona Yeah, so he hasn't been on the podium ever race, but he's been up there gaining points and he hasn't had the retire so That keeps him in that running They're being great if he could have won that one this weekend, but it was still a good race Like that covers a phone for the moment All right We can cover a little bit of the world cup. Obviously, I don't think we did any bit of coverage of group play right because like it started like shortly after we Yeah, I think it took a break kind of underway when we started We're in the quarterfinals. We actually just had our first quarter final game in today Yeah, who played today was it? Rancid Morocco France win. Yeah, yeah, two zero good good I've been some great games. I know I watched At least three or four last week Yeah, and then I watch the pitiful U.S.A game this week. Oh I'm looking hoping I can If I'm not watching on TV, I'll be watching Saturday's game On the phone Norway England. Yeah, that's gonna be a break-in That one's gonna be amazing I got to give it to England, but it'd be cool to see Norway win. You think Norway's gonna win my money My money's on one of those teams You're taking it either think the winner of that game wins it all. Yeah Wow, I know a lot of people the French you know France is so strong. I'm like, yeah, France honestly shouldn't even be there. They should have lost to Argentina should have lost to those so yeah, that was nuts What was the one? Oh that was nuts guys that whole comment? Argentina should have won lost against Verde. Yeah, that was That was crazy I think Verde would have steamrolled Egypt And probably Switzerland. I don't know if Switzerland even stands a chance against Argentina really. No, definitely not Little bummed on Portugal. I thought they would have got pass Spain but Yeah, I like Portugal for free They got Portugal my final four England beaten Mexico in Mexico was that was a great game though. That was that was good Well to start but man was like three or four goals with them matter like three minutes. Mm-hmm Freakin got good real quick So So Oh man So tomorrow we have Span and Belgium and Then Saturday the first games norway England and the late game is Argentina, Switzerland France will play the winner of Span and Belgium And those games will kick off Next Tuesday and Wednesday There's been some good games though The best game that I saw most of recently was definitely that Argentina game that was fucking crazy that come back Egypt thought they had it the entire time the entire time yet To have that one on I wish I would have been watching the after it was darn well I'm it was tough to watch on it if you didn't have your computer or something, but oh Man that was crazy I'll be honest with you guys though. I think some of the group play games that I washed Some of those games man the way they went the way they were playing those were pretty like intense wild games Oh But We'll see how the rest of this rounds out. I Think it could be a repeat Well Argentina and France yep, yeah, hopefully France can take it this time though I think I'd swear my finals just did I pick I don't know if I remember if I picked France, Argentina and Yeah, my bracket I screwed that up think fly at auto pick on but What I didn't pick mine before the dead one also you got you didn't pick it can't And now I had the auto pick on it so a little picked it's got a I did have Belgium right to this point Yeah, but I have England going all the way and then I think what the other one was I think who I had Playing England who would you have picked though? Um At private ahead Portugal going a little farther I probably USA I probably would have stalled out pretty close to where they were Makes sense I May have picked Norway a little higher, but I probably would have had Maybe Argentina or one of them a little higher Though I don't month end of when I were to probably picked them higher Oh Yeah, yeah, for some reason my auto pick had Paraguay in England for the championship Paraguay New Is all right though We'll see how this all goes down. I think Norway could be England so Should be good good last couple games coming up We'll keep posted on the next podcast Guess we just had some other things in sports going on you know sure you guys have heard about the whole quiet Leonard trade in basketball That oh, yeah got put on Freeze Um, what's he getting traded to? What? Where was he getting traded to a Toronto but You're back to Toronto. Yeah, the NBA put a freeze to it or whatever the hell that mean. I don't really You know a freeze Huh That's pending lead investigation into Los Angeles clipers Obviously there's a lot of other Sports going on like Wimbleton and the tour to France. I don't know if you guys keep up with that, but These we could mention that yeah, that's going on You guys do know that a trump the whole thing with trump how we intervened with that shit Apparently with that guy was that actual true though? Was that just like clickbait bullshit? It says that he intervened on and how many Obviously didn't make a difference, but it definitely wasn't a red card. I will say that. I would say maybe it was a yellow card, but It seemed a bit harsh That ticking tech and that referee was like seemed like he had it out for the United States of America Doesn't matter anyways, we got our asses smack so who cares, but yeah That's besides the point Other than that really nothing else that interesting. I don't know really what's going on in football I don't really care what's going on in football right now Not much Oh All I know is that I just like the way the bills staggered their seats kind of looks fucking like futuristic The whole stadium looks futuristic, but like the way they stagger the seat colors and everything Yeah, that looks like a old school like analog audio. Yeah, it looks sick I hope it's Just as loud if not louder. It will be interesting to hear Noise in that stadium. We'll see But all right, that's um It's all the sports I got We'll see how the rest of this world cup rounds out You Yeah, that's all I got to do. I don't really think there's anything else really going on Let's go Norway or England either one It doesn't matter either one then you there you go One of them getting three to that next round at least It's hilarious All right Thanks for listening to you
