The Benefits and Challenges of Black Young Men Being Educated in All White Institutions
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In Honor of Black History Month, I wanted to talk about the importance of education to the Black Community, but with a bit of nuance. In this episode, I talk to millennial NBA Sports Agent, Co-Founder of Move in Soles, and husband, Nate Tijion Jones. We chat about his experience as an African American male, matriculating through all white institutions, including Beverly Hills High, USC and UCLA Law, all in an effort to secure the best education and opportunities possible. We cover everything, from the quality of the education, to the cultural and socio-economics differences, and the challenges with dating.
