Climate Action Figures

Non-Episode With No Guest

John Whidden

Hi, I am John, and wherever you have come from, you've landed with us on Climate Action Figures. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. We actually don't have a full episode here, so we can't run the full theme song and everything else, so let's just stop it right there and I'll tell you a little bit about what's going on this week. First of all, welcome, nice to have you here. This is an extremely short episode because we had some scheduling difficulties with guests, and as a result, we have no guest this week. Sorry about that. I hope you can hang on until next week. Second issue the touque. I'm hoping that the warm weather is here to stay and I can get rid of the touque and you won't see it again until next season. Now back to this episode: again, sorry we have no guest, but next week we certainly do, and let me just tell you a little bit about that. You may remember Sam from Florida who created an organic fertilizer business using Worm Compost. He was on the podcast a couple of weeks back, episode 24, I believe. If you haven't seen that or listened to it, check it out. This guy is doing very cool things. If you tuned into that episode with Sam, you may recall him talking about a friend of his, and next week you get to meet that friend Derek, a smart young engineer who is doing some very cool things as well. Now, buckle in because we are going to connect the dots between all of these things. Are you ready? Aerospace, helping seniors, engineering competitions, racing drones, crops, crop data on farms, Red Bull, chemistry, hypersonic travel, NASA, nanocellulose, a woman from Finland, and of course it all leads to, you guessed it, seaweed. How does that all come together? Well, you're gonna have to tune in next week to find out, and I think you will really enjoy it. If that's not the definition of a teaser, I don't know what is. Please join us next week on Climate Action Figures.
