Unity Under God's Anointing- Pastor Holly Dazey (June 1, 2025)
Have you ever noticed how disunity can spread through a community like wildfire, while unity feels like a precious, rare gift? This deeply personal exploration of Psalm 133 reveals what happens when God's anointing oil of unity flows through His people.
We dive into the spiritual battle that threatens unity in our relationships, churches, and families. Learn to recognize what I call "Holy Ghost gossip" – those conversations that begin with "we need to pray for so-and-so" but quickly devolve into something that wounds the body of Christ. I share my own raw struggles with maintaining self-control when hurt and offended, and how the Holy Spirit provides the power to choose unity even when our flesh wants to "start fires."
The breakthrough comes through understanding our spiritual identity: "No longer I that lives, but Christ lives in me." When we surrender our personal agendas and allow the Holy Spirit to develop self-control in our lives, we experience what I call the "breaker anointing" – God's power to break through obstacles, heal divisions, and create authentic community.
You'll discover practical strategies for responding to division, maintaining peace in conflict, and experiencing the "refreshing dew" of God's presence that comes when believers dwell together in harmony. This message speaks to anyone who has felt the pain of broken relationships and longs for the healing that only comes through unity with Christ and His people.
Ready to move beyond surface-level fellowship into the transformative power of true spiritual unity? This episode offers both the challenge and the hope we need for the journey.
Word of God with you, to be able to see transformation in each one of your lives, to see you growing and moving. You know what the scripture is it's no longer I that liveth, but Christ that lives in me. No longer I that liveth, but Christ lives in me. Amen. Everything that we say and do should be Christ-centered, amen, amen. Everything that we say and do should be Christ centered, amen, amen. God. Bless these children. Bless these children, lord, as they're going to their place of worship. Bless the teachers, lord. Bless those that are assisting Lord. Let them have an amazing time in the presence of Jesus. Amen, amen, amen.
Speaker 1:Well, you know, last week we talked about the protection of Jesus Christ, the protection of the canopy that God has us under. Well, also in that vision, as when Melody gave the tongue and the Lord showed me the interpretation, he showed me that that canopy was dripping with the anointing oil, and so I studied that out. And when the oil is dripping, and when the oil is dripping, it is a blessing upon our lives. It is an opportunity for each one of us to have growth in Jesus Christ. It is a call to servanthood. How many here want to serve the Lord, jesus Christ, with all of your heart, all of your might and all of your being. Amen. It is a promise of his healing upon our lives. You know we need healing in our lives and more than just being healed physically, we need healed mentally, spiritually and physically. The oil dripping is a message of hope and encouragement that God is faithful. The dripping with the oil is the presence of God and he is the anointing oil. He is that healing Amen. When God shows us his anointing the oil of God. Anointing the oil of God, it's an abundance. Do you desire to live in the abundance? You know it tells us in Psalms 23 that we do not live in lack of one good thing, that we are a people who live in the abundance of Jesus Christ. He brings healing and restoration with that anointing. He brings healing and restoration with that anointing and he brings supernatural gifts. The anointing oil teaches, it preaches. It teaches, it preaches, it heals and it brings prophecy.
Speaker 1:But the anointing oil that God was showing in me is a spirit of unity. God desires unity among the body of Christ. He desires us to stand as one, not like scattered sheep. He wants us to come into unity with him and one another. First of all, we have to be in unity with God, desiring his perfect will in our lives. That's a hard one, because, you know, we all want our own way. It's just how we are. We're people that want our own way. So it takes a lot of surrendering to operate under the will of God. Amen.
Speaker 1:So I was. I think I have this all together, and then this morning he changes everything. But here we go right. Bear with me. I want to do the Spirit of God justice, I want to be in His will through this message and I just want to be a blessing to the body of Christ today.
Speaker 1:So Chris comes to me a few weeks ago and she said, holly, when we were in the prayer room, she said I saw the trumpet being blown. And she said what do you think that means? Well, you all know I'm a contemplator, so I have to go look steady, sniff it all out. Well, when there is a trumpet being blown, god is calling for unity. And so Pastor Michael, roger and I, we are raising up disciples. A disciple is a disciplined learner, and so the girls that sit under women of God and table talk. I believe that they are growing into mighty disciples, and so is the rest of the church, but to be a disciplined learner. That means that it's no longer I that live with Christ, but it's you that lives within me, you that lives within me, amen.
Speaker 1:And so back to the unity. Sisters and brothers in Christ, we have a family bond, is that right? Like you guys are my family, I spend more time with all you than I do my family. Is that true, right? So you're my family and we have a spiritual connection with each other. Do you believe that? It is based on our faith in Jesus Christ? It's a unity that goes deep and it is a unity that connects us. We're connected together in unity and so when we're connected together in unity, it's hard to break. Okay. But if one of us has got a sloppy agape that means sloppy love for one another, then that union has a slip in it, and so we don't want to allow those things to come in that break up that unity that we have one another. You know, you know what causes a sloppy agape Amen, amen.
Speaker 1:So in Luke 4, 18 and 19, it tells us Jesus, being the anointed, was being anointed with the Holy Spirit. He is the anointed one, jesus Christ is the anointed one, and Jesus Christ is the one who brings that breaker anointing. And many times in my life, since I carry a breaker anointing, I am placed right in the middle. Where a bomb is going to go off or a bomb has went off, I'm going to be there, you can bet on it. Is that where I want to be? No, but in him I live and move and have my being, and so wherever he takes me, that's where I go. Sometimes all I'm there to do is to pray. Sometimes I'm there to minister, sometimes I'm there to just be a friend that you can lean on.
Speaker 1:But we all need a break or anointing on our lives. We all need that Because when God brings the break, here's what he's got to do. He's got to go through all the junk that you and I have carried in life. So it's going to be a ba-ba, ba-ba-ba, ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba break. That ain't easy. It ain't easy to go through all that Because you're cleaning up messes that you've made in life. But when you get the breakthrough, then you step into the beautiful Of what he has for you, amen. So if any of you are in a break, you're in a great place because God's getting ready to set you into the beautiful of his wonder.
Speaker 1:Okay, so I love this scripture and this was upon Jesus Christ. And it says the Spirit of the Lord was upon me because he has anointed me to proclaim the good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoner and to recover sight for the blind, to see the oppressed set free and to proclaim the year of the Lord. Amen, that was prophecy upon Jesus, but Jesus' ministry and purpose is an outline for each one of us, and so in my life I desire to walk in this. I desire to see his anointing. I love the anointing, I snuggle up with the anointing.
Speaker 1:I can't imagine living without the anointing of Christ on my life. Do you think that just happened? I had to seek that, I had to ask him. I actually had conversation with the Holy Spirit. Would you come and guide me, lead me, direct me? Would you show me? Would you open my spiritual ears to hear and my spiritual heart to be able to hear the brokenhearted, like we don't hear the brokenhearted. But if you ask God to show that to you, you will know that's being led by the Spirit of the living God, amen. And so I desire to see prisoners set free. How many of us sitting here today.
Speaker 1:Whether we realize it or not, we are in a prison. There are prison walls around us and I desire for each one of us to be free from that prison cell and to walk in our freedom, to be emancipated, to be who you are in Christ. But Satan don't want that. He wants you right where you are Because you know what he knows you've got potential. He don't know your potential, but he knows you've got potential because you belong to Jesus Christ. In Acts 17, 28, it says For in him we live and move and have our being. I pray that all the time in myself. I want him to live in me. I want him to move in me. I want him to be my being. Do you desire that?
Speaker 1:You know we express love for the Holy Spirit. You know there's a Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Father, we know, the Son we know. Sometimes I don't know if we're really invested with the Holy Spirit. You know he's the one that brings transformation. He's the one that brings transformation. He's the one that changes us as we grow closer to God. He brings that change, changing us into Christ-like beings, because we were all born directly into carnality. We were born into sin, but God gave us Christ that we could be renewed and have eternal life. Amen, the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 1:In case you don't know about him, I'm going to tell you a little bit about him this morning. Okay, he is a powerful force. He's a powerful force. He empowers the believers to love. To God is all love, and so shouldn't we operate in love? But how often do we get out of love and operate in anger? We operate in being rude, we operate in manipulation. Those are not gifts of the Father from heaven. Those are gifts straight from hell hell, and they're not a gift. They're something that's going to entangle you with sin and trip you up.
Speaker 1:Understanding the Holy Spirit. He pours out into our hearts and guides us to love God and to love others. He brings comfort and peace. How many times in life do you have times when you just feel like you're going to fly apart, times when you just feel like you're going to fly apart, but you call upon the Comforter and he'll come and comfort you and bring you right back in to the place where you need to be with Christ. Or, if you don't, you can continue to spend right out of orbit Been there too. He's there in difficult times.
Speaker 1:I can remember when my dad passed away, they were getting ready to transport him from Twin City to Cleveland because he was having heart issues and I was just in the room talking to him and I went out to make a you know back in the day, the pay phone. I went out in the lobby to call one of my sisters and the doctor came out to me and he said did you know what happened? And I said no, what happened? He said we lost him. I'm here to tell you. For months that's all I could hear. But I called upon the Holy Spirit and he came and rescued me. But that was a difficult time but thank goodness I didn't have to go through that by myself. The Holy Spirit led me through.
Speaker 1:You know he brings transformation. He brings us to a place where he changes our hearts and our minds. When you have somebody that you are not in unity with, somebody that just rubs you absolutely the wrong way. We all got them, you know. You ask the Holy Spirit show me how to love this person, show me how to talk to this person, show me how to talk to this person, show me how to deal with this person and, believe me, if you're seeking, he will answer. He will answer the Holy Spirit. He intercedes for us. He's constantly praying for us 24-7. Does that bring you great comfort to know that, that he is interceding for each one of us, no matter what we're going through, whether we're in the valley or we're in the mountain, he is praying for us. You know, through the Holy Spirit we can be secure in God's Word and in the truth of it. God's Word is all truth. He is not a man that he should lie. Everything in this word is truth, you know. But in order for us to grow into disciplined learners, disciples, we have to press into God and the hard times you know.
Speaker 1:Recently I've been teaching on the armor of God in Ephesians 6.10. And last, not this week but the week before, our message was on girding up, girding up in Jesus, and so I studied that out. And when you gird up with Jesus, it's a belt of truth and what you're actually doing is you're tightening up with the Holy Spirit, you're being one with the Holy Spirit. You're allowing him to guide you and lead you and direct you through life. But the armor says it's the first piece of the army armor, it's our girdle. It holds the rest of the armor on us. It's our girdle. It holds the rest of the armor on us. Last week our message was on the shield of truth. This is my shield of truth and it said that the shield of truth will guard our hearts and our mind, because that's where the enemy attacks. And how does he bring those? What kind of attacks does he bring to us? You know, he brings attacks through generally other people and it attacks our mind.
Speaker 1:Words hurt. You know we used to be in school. Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt me. That's not true. Words hurt, you know. I was thinking. I don't know if this is appropriate or not, but I was thinking in my life. How many times have I referred back to that old song Shot through the heart and you're to blame. You give love a bad name. Rock it Is it true. How many times does word shoot you straight through the heart? And if you're a christian, you give love a bad name? Amen.
Speaker 1:I remember one time when holly was teenager and she wanted to date this boy and and me and her dad was like that is not happening. So of course he's out sitting on our porch, because you know she thinks she's going to play us. Any parent been there? We said you are going to have to go out and tell that boy that he has to leave Because you are not connecting with that. I can't do it. I can't do it. I can't do it. I said well, you got two choices Either you can do it or we can do it. Right, so she goes out and she comes back in. Oh my gosh, you guys. She busts the door open, she falls on the floor and she said you're murderers of love. She said you're murderers of love. Now, how many times in our life are we like murderers of love? But that had to be done and that was hard. But we had to stay in unity as a couple, a parents or things was going to go south, and so being in unity, it is hard, but it's what God wants for us. Amen, amen.
Speaker 1:So what Satan will do, what Satan Is, what he does, is he has tactics, he has schemes and he brings ambush. You ever get caught in Satan's ambush and the first thing you know you're caught in. Here we go, pastor Michael. I'm caught in a trap. Thank you very much. Oh my gosh, it's comedy hour. It's the Holy Spirit. Oh my gosh. Anyhow, satan catches us in a trap how he does. That is how they catch a monkey. This is how they catch a monkey. They take a bottle and they put a piece of silver or gold in there. The monkey puts his hand in, gets the gold in his hand and doesn't know enough to release, to pull his hand out. So while he's all involved here with his hand stuck in the jar, his hunter comes up and comes to move the head and has his way with the monkey. So don't get caught in the trap. Don't get caught in that trap, being so involved that you don't see what's coming.
Speaker 1:God says we need to be alert of the enemy's devices. So Satan will bring division into our house, into our family, into our church, into our lives. And he is clever, clever. Clever Because the word says that a house divided will not stand. So if you have disunity or division in your household, you need to go before God and ask him how to handle that. If there is disunity in this household, we need to go together before God and ask him how to handle that, because a house divided will not stand. It will crumble, because Satan has the foothold. We're not building on that solid rock Because Satan has the foothold. We're not building on that solid rock. We're building on confusion and lies, deception, traps and schemes of the enemy. But God tells us that we can overcome. We can overcome because why he overcame hell, death and the grave. That makes us overcomers. Amen, amen.
Speaker 1:Ephesians 4.16 tells us that we are the body of Christ, that we are jointed and knitted firmly together. Every joint supplies when each part works properly, causing the body to grow and to mature, building itself up on unselfish love. Unselfish love brings division. I mean selfish love brings division when it's all about me and not about you, when you manipulate circumstances to get things to come out in your favor. You know manipulation is a very big weapon that the enemy uses and it will bring division and it will cause disunity. You know, the body of Christ is the church and Christ is our head. He's the head of this, he's the head of Pastor Michael. He is the head, and I know for a fact before Pastor Michael makes decisions, he goes before the Father to get his direction, to seek his approval, to say Amen, before the Father, to get his direction, to seek his approval, to say Amen, amen. So every joint supplied or ligaments. They are the connection that holds the body together and allows us to function properly.
Speaker 1:You know we need to be building each other up in love. You know, not tearing each other down, talking about one another behind their back. You know, I don't know all the stuff that goes on in this house, but I know what god's telling me to bring this morning. So one of the things that I've recently went through is what I'm going to call Holy Ghost gossip, where you call somebody and say, hey, we really need to be praying for so-and-so because of this and this and this and this and this. And the first thing you know well, I didn't know that was going on. Oh yeah, let me tell you all about it. Holy Ghost gossip that's coming in under a spirit of manipulation. You know, I'm going to come in and say what I want to say and get it off my chest, and then we're going to nail it all to the cross right here and it's forgiven. Don't work that way. Gossip's gossip, it's gossip. It's not of God. Amen. See where am I at.
Speaker 1:So in 1 Corinthians 12, 26, it talks about all the members of Christ working together, and I think that if, as the body. Some of us are the brains of the body of Christ, some of us are the heart of the body of Christ, some of us are internal organs, some of us are the hands, some of us are the feet, but we all make up the body of Christ and if the body of Christ's big toe hurts, the whole body hurts. That true. So if we have somebody in the body who is spiritually faltering, who's physically sick, who is having what do we want to say like mental, spiritually mental disorders, we as the body of Christ, need to rally around, pray for uplift, care for them, because that's what the body of Christ does. We are jointly fit together in unity because of Christ. Amen, amen. We need to share in their joys. Hey, when they're on the mountaintop, let's get on the mountaintop with them, let's praise and thank God and give Him the glory, and when they're in the valley, let's raise them up out. Even though I will say this about valley experiences it's where the most nurturing earth is and it's where the most beautiful flowers are. So I don't, actually I don't like valley experiences. I have a few, I've had a lot. But I also know that through that valley I have come to the mountaintop and I have rejoiced and shouted from the rooftop of what my Lord has done.
Speaker 1:I remember one time Holly had a lump on her breast and we went to the doctor and they were really concerned about it and we went to go get an image of it and right before we went in we checked. But you know, I've been praying Father God. Nothing can come nigh her dwelling. Nothing, no sickness, no disease, nothing can come nigh her dwelling. Your Word tells me that I stand on the promises of the living God. And before we go in we checked it it's still there. It's about like a little golf ball. And before we go in we checked it it's still there. It's about like a little golf ball. And she goes back to get the image and she comes back out within about 10 minutes. I said they do that that fast, holly. She said, mom, it was gone. She said there was absolutely nothing there. They had no idea why I was here.
Speaker 1:Well, I'm telling you this, mama I was on the rooftops and I was shouting and praising to God for the wonderful things he did. And we get in the car and I went over to the doctor's office and I go in and I said do you know that that lump was gone? They were offended. Well, it was there. I can show you on the screen. I'm like I ain't saying that, but see how easy the offense was picked up.
Speaker 1:I was there to praise the Lord. They were there to be like. Are you telling us we're lying? But that's how the world is and that's why we have to be aware of the enemy's tactics. I did not let it steal my joy, though. I kept right on giving God the glory. But ain't that sad? That's sad. And so we need to share in the joys and we need to share in the difficult times and we need to be there for one another all the time. You know, tina Bober, if you need to have a prayer, that you need somebody to pray for, she's your girl. There is never nothing that I don't say to her. When I go to walk away, she don't say let's pray about that. That is awesome, amen. That is awesome Amen. And so I think that, as we live in unity with one another, sharing the same gospel, sharing our love for Christ, sharing our love for one another, that we are deeply rooted in his love, amen. I want to share with you about the dripping anointing oil as soon as I find it here. Turn that off Over.
Speaker 1:In Psalms 133.1, it says how wonderful and pleasant is it when brothers live together in harmony, ain't that beautiful? Live together in harmony, ain't that beautiful? The joy and the blessing of unity among the people, god's people, when we operate in unity. Now the Holy Spirit has really impressed us on my heart, so I'm just going to share it. So many of us go around and start little fires and then we get a big stick and we stir the fire and we watch the flame and we watch the emeralds. That's not of God. They can't ever believe how it happened. They're always surprised. Can you believe that happened? You know, I live it every day.
Speaker 1:Sorry, I feel like I need to get a microphone to come up here with me right now. I feel like I need to get a microphone to come up here with you right now. Yeah, so you know that's what the enemy wants us to do, wants us to dive right in, be a part, wear it, carry it, take it with us, pack it all up Right? Listen, this week has been hard for me. It has been hard for me. I put on my belt of truth. Tighten it up, got my shield, but everywhere I go I step into this little fire.
Speaker 1:I think Wednesday night I don't even think I slept Wednesday night I nursed and rehearsed the whole night what I was going to say, how I was going to say it, how I was going to bring it. I even tell Mel-Mel. I said this isn't nice guys. They want to see wrath. I'll show them the wrath of Holly. I'm telling you, they had my flesh stirred up. They hurt my heart, they wound me. See, I didn't have my shield up and I, I, I fell into an ambush and uh, and the deal was, I was with this person almost every day last week and I was like I can say something, I can upset the apple cart and I can cause a problem that is probably going to go on for six months. Or I can sit back and say Father, god, these children are not my problem, they're yours, you deal with them, you deal with them, you deal with them. So I've kept my mouth shut and I'm holding my head up high like a giraffe and I'm eating off the finest leaves. You know I am not getting involved, but it's that it's pulling me and I don't want to do that, but I believe that I'm standing strong.
Speaker 1:You know, in Galatians 5, 22, it says have self-control. It's a fruit of the spirit. Well, let me tell you something when you get saved, jesus didn't come around say here's your self-control, here's your self-control. He says you have to develop it, develop that self-control. So I'm in a whole new thing of developing self-control. I think I had it covered again Again. So if you personally, no raise up hands are going around starting little fires in your life and other people's lives, stop.
Speaker 1:We're supposed to be the ones that puts the fire out, overcoming it with the word of God, quenching it with the Holy Spirit. You know, you catch yourself, you do something and you feel like you better not say that. You better not say that Because the Holy Spirit, he's your conscience and he's telling you to shut up. Very nicely, don't do that. And then you do it. And then you're like, oh, what did I do? Now I'm in trouble, right, because you didn't listen. Okay, back to Psalms 133. Okay, oh, gosh, see, unity causes us to encourage one another, not to destroy one another. We need to be encouragers in the word of God. Okay, we need to be encouragers in the word of God. Okay.
Speaker 1:Unity is a reflection of God's love, you know. It's who he is. It's who we should be. Unity strengthens people, not tears them down, but it strengthens us to be better. Unity brings us into peace and to harmony and unity Unity. Unity brings a positive outlook on things. That's what Christ is. He wants us to have a wonderful outlook on life. You know, we don't live in dread of what's around every corner. It tells us in Psalms do not do that, because then we're not trusting him. We're in our flesh. Unity is more than just being in agreement. It's being mature. It's showing great respect for one another. It's having compassion. It's being patient and walking in humility. It shows love and support for one another.
Speaker 1:Unity at all costs, at all costs tries to stay away from confrontation. I don't like confrontation. If I have to have confrontation, I'm telling you I'm flying apart. I don't. Some people enjoy it. It doesn't work for me. I like peace and ease. Very often do I ever get that? But that's what I like.
Speaker 1:So let's look at Psalms 32. The anointing oil dripping the precious oil used, but that's what I like. So let's look at Psalms 32. The anointing oil dripping, the precious oil used to anoint the high priest of Aaron, to bring unity and blessings. The oil was poured out on his head and ran down his beard and on his collar. This blessing of harmony and unity flowed from above. Is that what we want in our lives? Is that anointing oil flowing down over our lives as a symbol of Jesus Christ in our life, that we are operating in that unity, in that anointing oil of Christ? It is a gift from God. It isn't something I can create, it isn't something you can create, but it's the anointing of the living God flowing over our lives and Psalms 33.3, unity and harmony compared, it is precious. It is precious when we operate in the anointing of Christ and in unity with the body.
Speaker 1:You think that's beautiful. It's like a refreshing dew. So I really had to think on this. A refreshing dew like in the morning when you walk out. I love and I know Mel Mel loves this too Go outside in the morning and it's a new day, it's a fresh start, a beautiful beginning, and you can see the dew on the petals and how the grass is just glistening with that new dew. Can you relate? It's beautiful, it's a beautiful thing With the new dew. It's like Mount Hermon Mount Hermon, it is known for its abundant dew which nourishes the land, and so when we operate under that anointing and that refreshing dew, he's restoring us. Amen, amen.
Speaker 1:The new dew, the refreshing dew, is like the Holy Spirit. It brings a sense of refreshing and nourishment. The anointing is associated with God's power and his authority that he has placed in us, like the new do can bring life's blessings, refreshments to those who dwell together in unity. You know, grow together in unity in your marriage, in your friendships, in your fellowship, in our church friendships and your fellowship in our church. Let that anointing, that love, flow from us and to others. But you know, I think we get so busy in our life that we don't even grasp it. You know, like we got to get home today and we got to go have lunch and then I got to get home and do the laundry and you know my mind's constantly going. But sometimes we got to bring that to a halt and just come into unity with Christ so that we can connect with the body. Amen, psalms tells us that God bestowed his blessings upon us so that we could have everlasting life in Jesus Christ and to live in harmony and unity with the brothers and sisters of the Lord, amen, amen.
Speaker 1:I'm going to pray for us. If you'd like prayer, I'd love for you to come up. And, father God, I just thank you and praise you and give you the glory. I thank you for the unity among the brethren here at Organic Church. I thank you, lord, that when one of us hurt, we all hurt. Father, when one of us are on the mountain, we're all on the mountain. I thank you, father, that we are aware of the schemes, the tactics and the ambushes of the enemy, for he comes but to do one thing to kill, to steal and destroy. But, father God, you come to give us abundant life, more than what we can contain. So, father, I thank you and I praise you that it's in you we live and move and have our being. And, father, I thank you for your blood that covers each and every one of us, in the mighty powerful name of Jesus Christ, and everyone says Amen, hallelujah, we give you the glory.
