Same God, Still Working Miracles (November 9, 2025)

Organic Church Season 2 Episode 53

If God never changes, what does that mean for the fear, lack, and storms we face today? We open our hearts and our Bibles to explore how an unchanging God still heals, provides, and leads us through impossible places. From a raw testimony of freedom from agoraphobia to practical, scripture-shaped steps for persistent prayer, this conversation connects ancient miracles with modern breakthroughs in a way that feels personal and urgent.

We walk through the woman who touched the hem and found wholeness, the blind man who shouted for mercy until the crowd’s hush lost its power, and the man at the Beautiful Gate who discovered that authority in Jesus outruns silver and gold. Provision stretches across every need: multiplying loaves for thousands, turning water into wine to restore joy, guarding a child on a bike path, and guiding a family through diagnoses, loss, and unexpected rescue. Along the way, we show how “peace, be still” is more than a verse; it is a way to speak to chaos until it listens. Ask, seek, and knock becomes a lifestyle, not a slogan, as we keep praying until doors open.

Our calling is simple and weighty: preach good news, heal the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to captives, and believe that signs follow believers. We refuse to shrink back from what is profitable for souls, and we invite you to do the same—step out of the boat, even if the wind still howls. Subscribe for more faith-building stories, share this with someone who needs hope today, and leave a review with the miracle you’re believing for right now.

SPEAKER_01:

And this morning we are going to talk about He is the same God. He never ever changes. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen. He is a miracle working God. Can I get an amen to that in the house this morning? Amen. Psalm 77, 14 tells us that you are the God who performs miracles and you display your power among people. Amen. I'm telling you, shout and ground, shout and ground. That's shouting ground. He is a miracle-working God. I can look through these chairs right now, and I can see miracle after miracle after miracle. Well, God has come and moved and had his being in each and every one of you. Oh, I'm telling you, I'm excited this morning. Amen. Matthew 1926, with man, this is impossible. But with God it is possible. All things are possible through God. I can do nothing in Holly. Nothing. But when I step back, I say, Holy Spirit, have your will and have your way. Then I am able to do the tasks that God has called me to do. Amen. You know, I'm a very timid, shy person. And to be able to get up here and to preach the word and to be able to shout out the goodness of God, that is a miracle. Do you know that in my life I have been an agoric how you say it? Agoraphobic. I couldn't even go out on my front porch to get the mail out of the mailbox. Fear encompassed me. But God. Same God. Same God as 2,000 years ago, however many years ago, today. He healed me, he restored me, and he set me free. And he is no respecter of person. What he would do for me, he will do for you. An agoraphobic is somebody who has an anxiety disorder. And you cannot move forward because you are trapped in a box in your head. And so if that is you today, I pray. I pray with all the power and might that he has invested in me that today is your day of freedom. Amen. Amen. Because that is living in the pits of hell. So when I said last week, Psalms 140, that he reached down into a horrible pit and he pulled me up and set my feet on a firm foundation of Jesus Christ. Believe me, I know what it's like to be in a horrible pit. Amen. When your mind is the worst weapon that comes against you. Because Joyce Meyer tells us the battle is in the mind. But thank God that we can overcome because He overcame hell, death, and the grave. Amen. Amen. I'm a testimony of what God can do. And because of what God has done in me, he has called me to preach faith. He has called me to encourage, uplift, edify the body of Christ. That is the call that's on my life to speak life into you. Because God's word, it is sharper than any two-edged sword, and it is alive and it is active. Amen. Amen. Not one thing that you sever with the word of God is going to live. Because he is all life. And Satan sets things up for you and I, 24-7, to trip us up, make us fall down, make us feel like we're worthless, living in a pot of shame. No. God says we are overcomers. Amen. Jeremiah 33:3 says, Call to me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know. My God has shown me great and mighty things that I did not know. He showed me how to be all that I can be. He showed me how to be a conqueror over fear. In the mighty name of Jesus. Oh, I'm telling you, I'm excited this morning. God shows us, shows his power among people. Do you believe that? Amen. He performs miracles and displays his power. Because you see, he's all power and authority. Amen. Matthew 19, 26 says Jesus looked at them and said, With man, this is impossible. But with me, what? All things are possible. Amen. I can remember when my daughter was a little girl and I used to sing to her, you're a promise. You're a possibility. You are everything that God says you can be. Amen. Talk to your children about Jesus. Tell him how wonderful. You know, I hold little Weston in my arms and I just tell him how wonderful he is and how precious he is. And that, you know, you are a promise and a possibility, and God's got great things in store for you. And each one of you children are promises and possibilities for the kingdom of God. Amen. Amen. Hallelujah. You know, Jesus, he performed many miracles. He healed the sick. How many of you have been healed in here by the hand of Jesus? Amen. He cast out demons. You know, um. Sometimes we get oppressed. And when oppression comes up on us, you know, we we aren't thinking right and we're not not walking right. And the enemy just, the door just gets opened, and the enemy comes in, and the next thing you know, he's rolling and reigning in our life. But you know, we need somebody to come up beside us, right? Somebody come up beside you and say, hey, I'm here to pray with you. I'm here to see you, help you get your breakthrough. You know, it's not God's plan for us to be oppressed, depressed, and under the rock. That's Satan's plan. So if you're under the rock today, here, let me help you out of that horrible pit in the mighty name of Jesus. Set your feet upon a solid rock. Hallelujah! He raised the bet the dead, he turned the water into wine, he fed a large crowd with a little bit of food. Oh my goodness, he raised Lazarus from the dead. He did healing miracles. I think about the woman with the issue of blood. And uh, may try to find it. Mark V. I could probably tell you better, and I could read it. Mark V. Okay, so we are gonna read it from the word because I want you to know it's a truth. And when you read that with your eyes, you will see that he is not a man that he should lie. Amen. So Mark 5, 25 says, now a certain woman had a flow of blood for 12 years, and she had suffered many things from many, many physicians. She had spent all that she had, and it had only grown worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind him in a crowd, and she touched his clothing. Now, imagine this. Let me set the scene. People are everywhere, everywhere. But this woman knew if I only touched the hem of his garment, I would be made whole. So she wiggles her way up through the crowd and she touches him. And immediately he says, Who touched me? And then did the disciples say, Lord, Lord, there are so many around you. Who would know who touched you? He said, Well, I know I was touched because I felt the healing virtue flow from me. Amen. When I prayed for Dan last week, I felt the healing virtue flow from me. And I believe with every fiber of my being that he's healed in his foot in the name of Jesus. Okay, so um I felt the power go out of him. He turned around to the crowd and said, Who touched my clothing? And the disciples said to him, You see, there is a multitude, but who touched me? And he looked around and he sees her who has done this thing. But the woman, she's fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her. He says to her, daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction. So a lot of times in our life, maybe we're just holding on to that hymn, to that raveling. But if it's all if that's all you got, Jesus is still the healing Jesus. Amen. Amen. He restored sight to the blind. Luke eighteen. And Luke eighteen thirty-five. Then it happened, as he was coming near Jericho, there was a certain man set by the road begging, and hearing the multitude passing by, he asked what it meant. So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by, and he cried out, saying, Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me. Then those around him went before, warning him that he should be quiet. But he cried out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me. So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to him. And when he had come near, he asked him, saying, What do you want me to do for you? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. Then Jesus said to him, Receive your sight, your faith has made you well. And immediately he received his sight and glorified God. And all the people, when they saw it, they all gave God praise. Amen. So through his crying out loud, he was persistent. He didn't listen when they said, hush, hush, hush, don't bother the man. All the more he said, Jesus! Jesus! And Jesus honored him for his persistentness. You know, in faith, we walk by faith and not by sight every day of our life. Walking by faith, not by sight. That means that there might be a lot going on in my life, but that circumstance is not controlling me. I am walking by the faith that God has put in me. Amen. He healed the paralyzed man at the gate beautiful. You can find that in Acts 3, 1 through 10. I love this story. Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer on the ninth hour, and a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple, which was called the Gate Beautiful. He was asking for alms from those who entered the temple. Who seeing him, Peter and John was about to go into the temple, asked and they asked for alms and fixed his eyes on him. When John and Peter said, Look at us, you know, sometimes we have to stop, pull ourselves away from the clamor, and look upon God. Fix our eyes on Jesus. Amen. And they said to him, Silver and gold have I none, but what I do have to offer you is the kingdom of God. Amen. Now, at that moment, the man's crooked feet straightened out, he leaped up for joy, and he was healed by just those words. Silver and gold have I none, but the kingdom of God do I have to offer you. That's beautiful. Amen. We'll talk about ways that Jesus provided. You know, his name is Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides everything that you need. He provides our provision, he provides healing, he provides deliverance, he provides everything. It isn't limited to just one. He is the God who provides all things. See, sometimes I think we take Jesus and we get him in a box and we we think he can only do this. But he says, I can do all things. Not some things, not most things, but all things. You know, get you and Jesus out of the box and experience who he is and who he can be in your life. Amen. Amen. And so they were um, this is in Matthew 14, 9 to 21. They were uh out out on the mountain out on a mountain, and there was 5,000 people. That was not including children, and they're hungry. And the disciples said, Jesus, just send them home. We don't have nothing for them. You think Jesus is just gonna say, Y'all just go home today. I don't got nothing for ya. No, he's come to feed you this morning. Spiritual, physical food today. Amen. And so they said, Well, all we have is five loaves and some fish. And Jesus says, Well, wrestled up, boys, paraphrasing. And so they get that fish ready, they get that bread ready. First thing you know, they fed 5,000 people with that little amount of food. That's God, that's how he provides for you and I. We don't live in lack, we live in a land of more than enough. We sung about that when we sung Honey in the Rock today. He's more than enough. Amen. Amen. Well, what about when he turned the water into wine? You can find that in John 2, 1 through 11. You know, they're at the wedding feast. And my goodness, they ran out of wine. And so Mary, Jesus' mom, she says, Do whatever he tells you to do to the servants. And Jesus is like, Woman, I have not come to myself yet. This is his very first miracle. He's like, What are you doing? Put me on a spot like that. And she's like, I have confidence in you, son. You can do all things. Amen. And so he told the he told the servants, he says, Take those empty crocs, fill them with water. They took them out, they served it to the master, and he was taken back that the water had turned into wine. Do you know what that says to you and I? The very best is yet to come in our lives. The very best. Do you know that um when we go to eat our yesterday when we had our deal our meal? I got my dessert dessert first. And I got my fork because I know that after I bounted on all that yummies, the best was yet to come. Listen, when the day comes and y'all plant me in my coffin, stick a fork in my hand. Because the best, and I know the best is yet to come. It's it, you know, it's just a symbol, but the very best is yet to come for each and every one of us. Amen. Then let's look at Matthew 14, 23, where Jesus walked on water. Oh my goodness. Can you imagine? He's sleeping in a boat, it's a rocking and a rolling, the winds are howling, the rains are coming, and them disciples are very afraid. They are afraid, and they're like, Jesus, what are you gonna do? Jesus says, Peace be still. And the winds and the seas obeyed him. How many times in your life should you just say, Peace be still? You know, the the the storms of life are hitting you hard. You don't have enough of this, and you don't have enough of that, and you can't think straight, and Satan's got you going the wrong way, and you just need to stop and say, Peace, be still in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and the storms, that storm will obey you. But as long as you just ride with it, ride with it, it ain't never gonna change. Because you know what? You're in agreement with that thing. But you have to cut that off and get in agreement with Christ and say, peace be still. How many of you have times in your life where you just need to speak that? Peace be still. Peace be still in my finances, peace be still in my marriage, peace be still in my friendships, peace be still in my finances, peace be still. Don't let the enemy get in between you and your husband or your wife and cause all that conflict and keep everything stirred and rattled. That's what he wants. Do you know he's the author of liars and the father of confusion? Come on. You let him get on your shoulders, start whispering in your ear. You gotta take authority in the name of Jesus Christ. Matthew 7, 7. This is one of my favorite scriptures. I use it a lot. Matthew 7, 7. Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find. Knock and it will be open to you. That's how you get God's attention. You ask, you seek, and you knock. Asking, seeking, and knocking, that's my ministry. That's what I do. I ask, I seek, and I knock in the mighty name of Jesus. I can tell you the times that I have. We'll talk about Miss Chris. A few years ago, she was diagnosed in the name of Jesus over the blood over these words. She was diagnosed with cancer. And so it was a Sunday afternoon. And we're in the sanctuary and we're praying for her. I mean, we are praying for her. We are interceding for her. We are believing that God is going to move mountains in her life, that that cancer is nigh and void in the mighty name of Jesus, that it had to dissipate, it had to leave. I bet we prayed three hours. I bet three hours. So she gets up and I said, Chris, I think the next day or the next week or so, she was going to have the the um the surgery. And I said, My prayer is that your doctor will want a second look before they do the work. So I called her that morning, how are you doing? We're here, we're getting ready to go in to get the procedure done, Pastor Holly. I'm confident God's got it in control. I'm like, praise the Lord. The doctor walks in, she looks at Chris, and she says, You know, Chris, I think we need to take another look at that. Sure enough, it was gone. It was gone. Right, Chris? It was gone. Same God. Same God. And so time had passed and I hadn't heard nothing. So I call, I call her phone, thinking Dan will answer, and it's Chris. I'm like, girl, they get that done so quick. She's like, oh, Pastor Holly, let me tell you. She said, they took a second look. Now that's God. Is that God in the mighty name of Jesus? I'll tell you another little miracle that happened in our life. You know, see, God told me one time it was a New Year's Eve uh service, and I was just minding my own business, looking out a window. It was snow and so beautiful moonlit night, and he said to me, He said, Holly, he says, the testimonies that you have will bring breakthrough to the body of Christ. And so I'm to share my testimonies so that breakthrough will come to your life. Amen. Amen. So when I got pregnant for Holly, I got preclampsia, and I was just so swollen, and my my wedding band had got cut into me. So we cut it off and we lost it. Lost my wedding ring. Many, many, many moons later. Somebody wants my wedding ring. I don't have it. Would you know? Over here in the corner in my dining room, I'm sweeping in the um woodwork. And I see something shiny. By George, it was that diamond. Can you believe that? Probably been down there for 20 years. But God cares about us. He's more than enough. Amen. Amen. I'm telling you, God is amazing, totally amazing. Um, how God provides. Now, because I was agoraphobic and I had a lot of fear and anxiety and stress, it caused me to be a worry word. But since then, God has told me, if you are worrying, you're not trusting. So if you're worrying today, trust in the Lord with all of your heart. Lean not into your own understanding because that's what's going to get you in trouble. Your own understanding. And let him direct your path. So Dave and I and Holly, Holly's about maybe five. And we are out on our bikes and we're going for a ride. Dave's ahead, Holly, me. I see this lady come out of her house, and she's walking down her sidewalk. She's getting in her car, and all of a sudden I see that Holly on her bike and her pulling out of her driveway is not going to be good. So I just start, Jesus, Jehovah God, Father God, stop her. I can't do nothing. But he's teaching me a lesson. I can't do nothing. But he can do all things. Well, as she's backing out, she must have seen the top of her little helmet, and she stopped. Oh my goodness, I'm telling you. She gets out of her car. Oh my gosh, I about hit your little girl. But God, He's the same God. The same God back then as He is today. You know, He provides. He provides safety in the mighty name of Jesus. You know, uh today's my hubby's birthday. Actually, I told somebody, they said, How old is Dave? I said, 56. They said, What? I said, No, no, no, no, no, 67. But the irony of all that, my dad had passed away on November 10th of 1998. And in um about 1988, I had got a divorce. And so my life was in the dumpster. That's just where I felt like I was, cleared down in the Molly Gups. And my sister Melody says, Holly, I have a fella I want you to meet. I'm like, I don't need any of that. I saw I'm trying to get my life together. You know, I need to be an independent woman. I need to get a job and pay my bills and do all that stuff. Oh no, she was persistent that I needed to meet this Dave. So the first time we met, it was not a go. We did not like each other much. It didn't work out at all. He thought I imagine, he thought I was a snob. And so um November rolls around of 1990. And it is December, it is November 10th, and we meet, and we fall madly in love. But it was bittersweet because that was the same day my dad passed. But see how God can take the bitter and bring in the sweet? And what was an absolute horrible day in my life became one of the best days. See, he's Jehovah Jirah, the God who provides. Amen. Amen. I'm sure you all have testimonies of where God has come and moved mightily in your life. But he's the same God, he's no respecter of person. What he'll do for me, he'll do for each one of you. Amen. And so my daughter, her and Clay decided they wanted a little baby. And Holly could not hold a child. Five miscarriages, heartbreaking times in our life. And the last miscarriage she had nearly killed her. It had aborted, but it didn't leave her body, and it grew, and she thought she was pregnant, thought she was going through a miscarriage. We go to the hospital, and here it was just a mass. And when they went to remove the mass, it was in a place in her body that was a main blood supply, and they couldn't remove it. So she had to go on radiation to dissolve it. Hard stuff, very hard stuff. But God's the God who provides. Same God, same God. So I'm asking, Lord, bless Holly and Clay with this baby. Bring him this beautiful bundle of joy. I'm seeking every minute that I am praying for this baby. So I begin to knock. Hey God, it's Holly. Lord, we're asking for a baby. Hey God, it's Holly. God, I'm asking for that baby. God, I'm believing for that baby. God, I see her holding that baby. God, I think I'm knocking. I'm not giving up. I'm not quitting. I'm not giving up. You have to knock. Ask seek and knock, Dell. I'm knocking. I'm believing. Me and Dave, we're knocking. How long we knock? Until until what? Until it happens. Amen. Amen. I'm telling you. The very day. Snowstorm. She's supposed to go get her tubes flushed. Snowstorm. What does she do? She hops up first thing in the morning, goes to put her eye solution in, fills her eye up with peroxide. Well, Mom, I'm supposed to go to the hospital today and get those tubes flushed. I said, Well, you better go to the emergency room, see if you're okay. Well, at the emergency room, what do you think happens? Storm. Big snowstorm. How are we gonna get there now? I said maybe you just need to cancel. Thank God for his provision. Thank God that he's more enough. Because you know, Lil Weston, he was in the womb. Had we got the tubes flushed, we wouldn't have that little boy. Our miracle baby. Our miracle baby. Amen. How faithful is God? See, this isn't about me. I'm not making this about me. This is about what God can do. What God can do when you operate in your faith, when you allow God to move mountains for you. You know, we don't have to do nothing. All we have to do is pray. Look at Kathy and Ed. A miracle. A miracle. I can't think of your name, honey, with the dark hair. Micaiah, a miracle. Amen. Your little baby, a miracle. Any other? Anyone? Miracles in this house. Dan. Anybody? Dave. Dave. One right after another. Connie. And Dale. And there's Heidi and Danny and why can I think of your name? Joe. There's Mike and Tanya. Look, there's there's little Opal. Chris. He's a miracle-working God. Always on the move. Always, always, always that we can advance the kingdom. So this is one of my favorite scriptures, and it's Acts 20, 2021. And this is something I stand on because I am promoting the kingdom of God. I am bringing forth the gospels and I am telling the gospel truth of who He is. Amen. Acts 20, 2021 says, I did not shrink back from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you publicly from the house to the house, testifying both to Jews and Greek, repenting towards God's faith, towards the Lord Jesus Christ. I do not hold back on who I am in Christ, because He has done great things in my life. And I desire each one of you to have a breakthrough. Wherever it is in your life, I desire for you to have a breakthrough through Jesus Christ. Amen. See, I am called to build up the body of Christ. Luke 4, 18 and 19 says that the Spirit of the Lord was upon me because He has anointed me to preach the gospel. He has anointed each and every one of us to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ everywhere we go. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captive and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. You can also find that in Isaiah 61:1. Signs and wonders and miracles follow those who believe. Are you a believing believer today? Amen. Amen. Jesus promises that supernatural signs will be with believers as they preach the gospel. Matthew 14, 23. Have you ever heard that little Diddy? Come and walk on the water with me. Have you ever heard that? It goes this is just a little bit of it. Come on and walk on the water with me.

SPEAKER_00:

Come on and walk on the water with me. You will not fail You will not fail. Come on and walk on the water with me. Come on and walk on the water with me. You will not fail. You will not fail.

SPEAKER_01:

Amen. So that's my hope today as I brought forth this word on God's miracles that you will walk on water with him in every circumstance of life, that no matter what comes your way, that you will know that you are an overcomer and that you can overcome life's challenges through Christ Jesus. Amen.
