“2-F’23” as the Fox Company veterans used to describe themselves, fought at Roi-Namur, Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima. Join Steven McCloud and I as we discuss the formation of the Company, and trace its actions during World War II, including its capstone performance on Iwo. Learn about the unique individuals who, ‘manned the rails’ during this time, many of which formed the backbone of the Company’s leadership cadre. Over the course of the war, Fox experienced changes in tactics, equipment and strategy. We also discussed how they adapted to all the change and used it to propel them to victory. While Fox was much like any Marine rifle company during the war, they were still unique in their own way. Check out EP32 to find out how. Semper Fidelis!
