Tired of the same old tune, we've set out to show that the Midwest is not as bad as some people might think. Yes, there's corn (and a ton of other agriculture, too--you're welcome).

Fifty years ago, the SS Edmund Fitzgerald embarked on a routine round-trip voyage to deliver her cargo at Zug Island, Michigan. This trip, however, was anything but routine. The mighty and celebrated freighter vanished into the treacherous waters of Lake Superior, taking all 29 crew members with her. Join co-hosts Kim and Jack as they share their thoughts of that fateful night—and explore the enduring maritime mystery that has captivated the people of the Midwest. They discuss the infamous "Gales of November," the final chilling radio transmissions, and why this particular disaster became so quickly and powerfully immortalized in Gordon Lightfoot's iconic ballad. November 10th will forever be a day of remembrance and reflection throughout the Midwest.
