How to make a box fan filter:
- Purchase a 20 in × 20 in (51 cm × 51 cm) box fan and a MERV 13 filter.
- Put the filter behind the fan so that the arrows point towards it.
- Tape the filter to the fan using duct tape. You can use one or more filters depending on your preference.
- Trace and cut out cardboard to cover the gaps between the filters and the fan.
- Tape the cardboard to create a seal around the fan and the filters.
- Put the filter in an enclosed room and turn it on. Replace filters as needed.
