Flip Side of the Coin is a podcast where people can go to explore different viewpoints on many issues. We take an issue and in one episode we examine and explore one viewpoint, and then in the next episode we do the same for the other side of the issue. Our goal is to give our listeners a place where they can explore differing viewpoints and their merits without feeling the need to defend themselves or argue back. Join us as we explore political and social issues, and even break down some issues that are just for fun, as we examine how others view the world in Flip Side of the Coin.

In Favor of Isolationism
We begin looking at the topic of isolationism. Isolationism is when a country minimizes its international activity in favor of focusing almost exclusively on domestic issues, and it has been a topic of debate within the United States, more or less, since the nation began.
Today we look at a couple of the reasons that supporters of isolationism tend to bring up when trying to plead their case. We also look at a couple instances from US history where the United States shifted its focus inward and look at some of the long term benefits that have come from those periods.
