Speaker 1:Pray for us as we continue to minister the gospel through the airways Of course we do so through multiple media platforms and so and we have multiple programs, and so it's good to have your support. Through your prayers, we pray for our health, the ministry that God will anoint us with what to say and do and to be the vessels that he's called us to be. We thank you so much for that. Speaker 1:All right, we have that out of the way. We're in an amazing series that we just can't seem to get out of, and we're talking about the secrets to unlocking a winning mindset through biblical wisdom, and this is part five. We have not been able to get out of this, and so today, our subtopic is going to be dealing, going to be dealing, and I, like I really want to say, defeating. Defeating, uh, anxiety, fear and depression from a biblical perspective. Defeating anxiety, fear and depression, which is a big one from a biblical perspective. So, in this short frame of time that we have with you, we'll give you the most that we can, because those are some really serious, serious, heavy topics that lead to a lot of issues Suicide, you know, failed relationships, failed career, mental issues, broken families. That's a lot there. That's heavy. But we're going to give you what we can in this time that we have together from the Lord there.
Speaker 1:That's heavy, but we're going to give you what we can in this time that we have together from the Lord. So Pastor A is going to bring us into this atmosphere with prayer and then we want you to go to Philippians, chapter four and verse six. That's where we're going to start.
Speaker 2:Amen, amen. Join me in prayer, father we bless and thank you and give you all glory and honor and praise. We thank you. God for this new day. We thank you, god, for every opportunity that you've afforded us in it. We thank you, god, for the many blessings that you have stored up on our behalf, oh God, and we just give you all glory and all honor and all praise God.
Speaker 2:What I sense the spirit of the Lord is saying is this I pray in the mighty name of Jesus that this moment, that your spirit, your power, your glory will find every person at their place of need.
Speaker 2:God, and that you would do the thing that they are in need of in such a mighty and powerful way that, god, transformation will take place in their hearts and in their minds, because as their mind shifts, their heart will shift as well. In the name of Jesus. So, god, we ask that you have your way in this episode, that you lead us and guide us by your spirit, that you will anoint us afresh for the opportunity, god, to share with your people that which heaven has to say. In the mighty name of Jesus, we thank you for their deliverance. We thank you, god, that they are coming out. We thank you, god, that whatever is trying to hinder them or hold them back, that you have set the captive free through Jesus Christ. And we give your name the glory. Have your way in this place. In Jesus name, we pray Amen, amen. Amen.
Speaker 1:Thank you for such a heartfelt prayer.
Speaker 2:We thank God for that.
Speaker 1:Thank you so much for the anointing. She's definitely an intercessor. We covet Angela's prayers in this family. Come on somebody. She is the intercessor of the house and you're talking about somebody who could go before the Lord. We thank the Lord for that anointing to press in to his glory. That his grace will fall all the more on us and what he's called us to do.
Speaker 2:Amen, amen. I'm like talking to the Lord. I know.
Speaker 1:All right. So people, precious people of God, we're talking about defeating anxiety and fear, both of which are common. They're they're, they're typically cousins. When you have anxiety, you have it because you have fear of something negative happening or something good not happening, or you've been assaulted with a spirit of anxiety, a spirit of fear that causes anxiety. Either way, we pray your deliverance right now. We pray that something that we say come from the word of God, that would have the power to break the yoke of anxiety off of your life and that fear would not have any. Here's the deal we want fear to be powerless in your life and in ours.
Speaker 1:We all are assaulted and attacked and confronted with fear from time to time, and sometimes all the time, but we believe in the power of God, we believe in the power of his word that it would not return void, and we mostly believe in the power of the blood of Jesus that he shed on that cross, to break everything off of you that would hold you back from blossoming. Blossoming how God designed for you to blossom, you shall blossom. How God designed for you to blossom, you shall blossom. You will blossom and you can blossom, and your teeth shall no longer shake and your bones shall no longer quiver and your nerves shall no longer upset your stomach with fear and anxiety, because we believe in you and we believe in the God in you, and we believe in the plan and we believe in the angels around you to give you what God has in store for your life no more fear and anxiety for you, no more fear and anxiety for me, no more fear and anxiety for us. We will confront our fears and we will overcome day by day, amen.
Speaker 1:And we're dealing with depression. That's a big one right there and it is. You know, when you're dealing with depression, you have to be mindful. There are times when you need trauma therapy. Yeah, there are times when you need therapy for your emotional duress and distress and sometimes you have to blend a healthy blend of spirituality and therapy to get you beyond the past, over the hump and obstacle of what you're dealing with inside, to get to. The better you to show up on the outside, amen, the better you to show up on the outside. So remember that. So we're talking about dealing with defeating anxiety, fear and depression from a biblical perspective. So the counseling and the therapy, some of the other things we want you to get that we're going to jump into this word. Philippians, chapter four, chapter four yeah, I got you, I got you, I got you.
Speaker 2:It's crazy you ready, yep, all right all right, baby girl.
Speaker 1:Okay, all right. So Philippians, chapter four, and let's start in verse six and I want you to get this verse six it says B, b, b oh Lord, I'm trying not to preach yeah. And B deals with the present tense. So this is for any situation in your life, in your present life, no matter what category it falls in relationships, career, money. This word was written, you know, centuries ago, but it was written for your right now. The power of God's word is right now. And he says be, that's a present state, that's a posture, that's a mindset and a heart set. Be, be, ye, steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the love of God. So be anxious for nothing. In other words, let me say it backwards Don't never be anxious, don't never be anxious.
Speaker 1:Don't never be anxious, but in everything, all right. So God has given us an all-inclusive word everything raising your children, deadlines, court cases Ooh, this is a good word already, ooh, but in everything by prayer. Now, are y'all getting it? I want y'all to really get this, and I'm not trying to preach this and I'm just flowing in the spirit of God as it is resonating with me. Everything should come under the mantle of prayer. Everything in your life should come under the covering of prayer. Everything in your life should come under the covering of prayer.
Speaker 2:Everything in your life should come under. What prayer can manifest?
Speaker 1:That's why you ought to be bringing everything in your life under prayer, because prayer will manifest good and God in your life.
Speaker 2:Amen.
Speaker 1:Prayer is a transporter, amen, because it will move you dimensionally. It's not an escalator to take you from one floor to the next, but transporter. They usually can. They transport dimensions, they move into dimensions and transport. You know what I mean. Almost like on Star Trek back in the day when they say beam me up, scotty and Captain Kirk would be down on some planet.
Speaker 1:And he had Scotty, we had to get him in that transporter and take him up to another dimension, and that's what prayer do. You could be sad and pray and boom, you'd be happy. That's a dimensional shift. Yeah, it is Prayer man. I got to get out of that. Prayer is a dimensional portal, so everything should come on the prayer. Watch this and supplication. Yeah, and that word supplication and I really want you to get this is really talking about that specific request to god, where you are praying from your spirit and you are listening to the holy spirit. Yes, and you are. You are praying from the Holy Spirit and you are talking to God in your deepest place. That's your supplication. Jesus said I stand at the door and knock and any man open. I will come in and guess what he said? He said I will sup with him. That means I will come in and abide. I will come into an intimate space for an intimate time and I will get so close into the intimate space that I become one with you and your problem.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:One with you and your desires. Like that and so that supplication, that deep place of utter desire and pain and even assurance and belief. You want to pray, you want to pray from there. Get past the shallow place in your mind. You want to pray. You want to pray from there. Get past the shallow place in your mind, get past that corner place in your mind and get to that deep place inside of you where you can talk to God. The Bible says deep, cry it out unto deep, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:The Lord is speaking to you in the deep and you speaking back to God from the deep I need to hurry up, it says with Thanksgiving. So you want to include thankfulness when you are praying and talking to God. Yeah, and I prayed to God, crying before. I'm not saying you're not going to you. You're going to always pray that Thanksgiving is going to come, but you want to make it a practice with Thanksgiving because it's an indication to your mind, to your hearing, to your enemy and adversaries and principalities around you that you believe is going to come to pass. So I'm already grateful before it shows up. Amen, with Thanksgiving, let your request be made known unto God. And you got to talk to God and here's what's going to happen. The peace of God.
Speaker 2:Yep, this is how you're going to defeat anxiety, fear, depression.
Speaker 1:You're going to do it by peace, and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. This whole thing about understanding is what you understand before you, what you're believing to be before you, because understanding comes through comprehension. Comprehension comes through information. So what he is getting at is that prayer and supplication with thanksgiving is going to move you mentally beyond the information and facts that you have comprehended.
Speaker 2:Absolutely.
Speaker 1:Can I say that Okay. And it says you know that surpasses all understanding and it's going to be a guard.
Speaker 2:Yep.
Speaker 1:Like a soldier guarding a prisoner in a cell. It's going to guard like like soldiers around a city wall. It's going to guard like like a security guard at a building that's closed and he's on the inside making sure nobody gets in. There's going to be a guard for your heart and your mind, his eyes, going to happen through Christ Jesus, and that's what makes it possible, because we start wondering yeah, I heard that scripture before. I heard all that, I tried all that, but I can't seem to help. Yes, you can. It's through Christ Jesus, and Jesus has all power. All power in heaven and earth has been given to him, so you can have peace, no matter what you're going through. What you have to do, though, is fight for it. Okay, pastor.
Speaker 2:A, you really do. You really do. I often refer to this scripture as a recipe. I often refer to a lot of the scriptures in the Bible as really recipes or remedies that God has left for us. They're the blueprint, and a lot of times we're trying to figure out how to find certain things and the last place we look is in the word of God. But by right, that should be the first place that we go to look, and so oftentimes, just thinking about peace, for example, we try to find peace in shopping or we try to find peace in something else.
Speaker 2:When God clearly shows us this way to get peace that you have the power and authority to activate on your own, you don't, and it doesn't require you to spend any money, it doesn't require you to be anywhere in particular. You can be sitting in your car, you could be walking through the park, you can be sitting on your front porch, you can be in your bathroom. It doesn't matter, because wherever you are, you can send up a prayer. The Bible even says men ought to always pray, but that's a whole different thing. So I'm saying that to say it doesn't matter where you are. Sometimes we get caught up in Well, I'm not here. Oh, I need this. I need this quiet spot. No, you can pray at the drop of a dime.
Speaker 1:Come on, you can pray wherever you are.
Speaker 2:Yes, you can pray wherever you are, when you are in need of God's peace. You and you want it. Bad enough, you will stop drop and roll. You know what I mean. You will begin to just stop paying attention to that and begin to open up your mouth and pray to God. Now, one thing that I got out of this this time that I never saw before, and I feel like the Lord placed it on my heart as you were reading Apostle, and that is this that it says um, I think it's like I guess this could be about the boc portion um, I'm looking at the niv, but it says, when it talks about by prayer, okay, philippians, chapter four yeah, what verse um six.
Speaker 2:okay, six about the B or C portion. Okay, mindsets do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Just that part by prayer. One thing that jumped out to me when you read it that time is look at the power of our words. See, the thing that we struggle with sometimes is opening of our mouth in troubling situations.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:The tactic of the enemy is to keep our mouths shut, because he knows, if we release a prayer, god is going to hear it oh my God and then God's going to send the answer. The answer let's look specifically at this is going to be peace over the thing that is causing disruption.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And when I look as you, as you said it, I said look at God showing us the power of our words again, because it is through prayer, it's not through humming, it's not through any other thing, but it's through prayer. Even when I think about rejoicing in the Lord, you still got to open up your mouth. You still have the life and death, or death. And life, as the scripture says, is in the power of the tongue, and what we do with our tongue can shift our whole life. Glory to God. It can shift our whole life. And so, while the Lord absolutely loves that we communicate with him, I believe a deeper thing in that is he wants to show us there was power in your words. Watch this. Wow, he created us in his likeness. Wow, because in genesis there was power in his words. Jesus so is it his word come on.
Speaker 2:So so, going to the, when you talk about the deeper thing, that supplication, because I'm going to start praying what I hear the Holy spirit giving me to pray. Yes, I'm not, I might start all over the place, but the deeper I get in this thing, I'm listening to what the spirit of the Lord is having me to say. Is it no wonder, then, that the peace of God, that anything of God, would then intervene in my circumstance and my situation and hold captive that which was that that originally had me in captivity?
Speaker 1:That's good.
Speaker 2:Because all understanding, everything I thought I understood, has to bow down at his peace. Come on, jesus Come on At his peace. At his peace. Wow, because why I initiated the thing he told me that I had, and that is power to create life or death, or death or life. I opened up my mouth and I begin to pray.
Speaker 1:There is so much you're laying a foundation for so much. So there's about five different things, including questions and comments and stuff that I would like for you to comment on. That hit me while you were teaching. One of the things I thought about is that you know, somebody may be saying you know, I try that all the time, I pray all the time and I'm not getting the answers I want. I'm still anxious, I still see the same problem, and what I want to say to that person is keep praying.
Speaker 2:Yep.
Speaker 1:Keep praying, though you may not see it, because I've been there. Yeah, we all have been there, where you don't stop praying just because what you're praying for is not manifesting yet.
Speaker 1:OK, you keep praying to God and going back to the scripture where he said men always pray. So I have a question and I want to throw this at you because I know I know the Holy Ghost is going to give you this answer. I know you already have it in you from your years in ministry and prayer. Can you tell me off the top of your mind?
Speaker 2:you know three reasons why you feel like we don't pray like we should.
Speaker 1:The first thing is pain. I knew you had something. Come on, come on.
Speaker 2:The power of pain. Did y'all hear that the power of pain, the power of pain the power of pain yeah, sometimes things are, we go through things that are so painful that we feel like we can't even utter words to describe how we feel.
Speaker 2:Oh, glory to god that we can't even get it out, oh jesus, to pray, because the pain of what we're experiencing is so bad. But what is so beautiful? That even in that, the scripture talks about how the Holy Spirit, even when I don't know what to say, yeah, how the Holy Ghost of God, will communicate my come on, my groanings and my. Sometimes we can go to God in a groan oh, that's so good. And the Holy Ghost of God, that is so good, will help. What is it? What's the word I'm looking for?
Speaker 1:Interpret, interpret, thank you, there you go.
Speaker 2:Yeah, interpret.
Speaker 1:Yes, what it is that I'm saying. You got something to say. I'm buying the devil right now. I know, man. Let me tell you God wants to use you in this episode right here.
Speaker 2:Let me tell you I said it's okay, you can do all of that. I'm going to make it. It's going to be okay. You understand, because we prayed that on the way. Glory to God.
Speaker 1:I agree with you that everything God is giving you in your spirit? It would be Absolutely so. You said pain, yeah, so you're talking about the paralyzing power. Paralyzing power, if we give it that seductive, if we're seduced in that, into that paralysis, it could hit you. But don't let it do. Yeah, you got to pray. Don't let it, don't let it seduce you. Oh, my God, go ahead. Two more reasons why you feel like why don't we pray? Perspective Okay, pain. Perspective she rolling with the peas Okay, come on. Perspective.
Speaker 2:Right, it's how we see a thing. Sometimes we go through things that we feel like are unfair.
Speaker 1:Sometimes, and this is our perspective.
Speaker 2:We feel like it's unjust, we feel like there's no way.
Speaker 2:But you know, sometimes we start justifying ourselves and if we have that right and realistically, yeah, yeah have that right and realistically we don't, and we start classifying what we're going through with all of the wrong labels. We give it all of the wrong tags and none of them align with God's perspective of what we're going through. So when I have the wrong perspective about my situation, then it creates in me a bad attitude towards God, because then I feel like he's done something to me. Then I start feeling like he didn't do something for me. Then I start I just, I just I have him all in the wrong place because my perspective about my situation is wrong and as a result, because I'm mad at God, I'm not going to talk to God. Think about it when we're mad at somebody, we don't go running to talk to them and even if we do, we talk crazy when we do. And the Bible talks about the reason why we don't see results in prayers is because sometimes we pray a miss.
Speaker 1:Oh, my God.
Speaker 2:Sometimes we don't pray the right stuff.
Speaker 2:The right stuff and we think that because we're angry, that that's going to move God. But God's never intimidated by us. He never has to dethrone himself because we think our situation is not right, it's not fair, there's no way I should have went through this. And then we start giving ourselves justification because I serve, I tithe, I do this, I do that, I do this, I do that. What, come on, do you know why you were able to do those things? Because there is a power living on the inside of you that causes you to be and do. That's the word of God. Wow, there is nothing good, nothing good in us, no good work. Anything we do, it says a filthy rag. The word says that. So when we get out of sorts, we get out of sorts when things happen because we have the wrong perspective and we're looking at it out of from our viewpoint and not God's.
Speaker 1:That is so powerful. You're using this word perspective and in my mind's eye you know I went to the root word. I start seeing the root word perspective, which is spec, which is where we get vision or seeing. That's why glasses back in the day were called specs. And so it gets to this whole thing about lenses and what lens do you see things through and how are your lenses your lenses in which you see life and your circumstances? And it made me think about glasses and how, if you have the wrong medication in your lens, it's going to mess up your vision. Oh my God, you will pay money for a lens. You will go in and employ a lens that is working to your detriment instead of your profit.
Speaker 2:Come on, that's real.
Speaker 1:So, oh, my God, you better say that. So we have to be mindful of what we are putting into our lens, trying to get a proper vision, which could be actually creating division from the vision that God has, because we have a different vision, because of the stuff we've put in our lens.
Speaker 2:So what I excuse me, what I hear you saying is that in those moments we're self prescribing our own lens. Come on, oh, that's so good, watch this. And we don't even have a degree as being an ophthalmologist. Come on, optometrist.
Speaker 1:Yeah, ophthalmology, I guess.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so it's like then why am I trying to create my own prescription? I am out of my league, I am out of my lane. I'm trying to operate in a realm that I was not even created to operate in. Good God of mercy, I'm not interrupting you, but I got to get this scripture.
Speaker 1:I forget it, so hold it. Yeah, you took me to that scripture that says set your mind on things above and not on things that are in earth. So when I set my mind on things above, I'm taking on his land.
Speaker 2:When I set my mind on the things in the earth.
Speaker 1:I'm putting stuff into my land, what I think should be happening. But what I don't understand is, or what I'm not abiding by, is that his thoughts are not my thoughts and his ways are not like my ways. And as heaven is high above the earth, so is my lens above your lens, and the way you see it is not how I see it. And what I hear you saying actually, anne, what I hear you saying is that we often funeralize and eulogize what God has in process.
Speaker 2:Oh, that was good, say that again.
Speaker 1:We often funeralize and eulogize that in which God only has in process. It's not dead to God, but we have funeralized it Our hope, our future our destiny, our purpose, our marriage our child. We start funeralizing things that God said no, don't funeralize.
Speaker 2:It's just in process right now. Leave it alone, that's so good. That was good.
Speaker 1:Oh my God, let me add this on, let me tag this on to the back end of this right now, while we're saying this, this, and I want you to think about your third point. Oh, I know what it is, okay, great. So this, this really is getting at trusting God Absolutely, and that's really what my comment, my commentary, says here for this. Uh, philippians four and six. One of the comments here is it means to commit your problems to God in prayer. Commit them, commit them to God in prayer, and then it says trusting that he will provide deliverance.
Speaker 2:Amen that's it, trust, that's it.
Speaker 1:Prayer is nothing without trust.
Speaker 2:That's it. It's nothing.
Speaker 1:It's useless Prayer is dead. They talk about faith without works is dead. Prayer without trust is dead too it is.
Speaker 2:I wonder if that just made me think about the thing that you said a little bit ago about praying and not seeing results. You know, we don't see results, and I just wonder if it's because we really don't trust what we're saying. We don't trust what we're asking, we don't trust that God is going to do what we're asking him to do. We don't even believe it. We don't trust that God is going to do what we're asking him to do. We don't even believe it. We don't believe it, we don't believe it. And so, oh my God, and sometimes, when you don't believe what you're asking God for, you will miss an opportunity to do what's necessary for that thing to manifest. Because if I don't believe it, I'm not going to keep speaking it out of my mouth. If I don't believe it, I'm not going to keep taking it to the throne room. If I don't believe it, watch this, I'm not going to look forward. See, when you believe or expect something, when you are expecting a package.
Speaker 2:See, we put more trust in UPS and FedEx, and I'm not even trying to shade them, but we put more trust in them than we do in the Lord Come on. When we know that we've ordered a thing and the tracking number, see, we get automated notifications that tell us when something's going to show up.
Speaker 2:But God has left a whole round of notifications about when something's going to yes about when something is going to happen, but yet we doubt it. We get an email that says your package will arrive in three days and we're looking, we're searching, but what are we looking for in God's word that he said would come to pass? Are we looking for the things that we're praying about? Are we just kind of saying, okay, god, I want you to do this, this and that, and then we're back to business as usual, back to stress, back to frustration, back to anxiety and on the verge of depression. What are we doing, amen? So I wonder, if we can't see manifestation because we're not looking for manifestation, we have no expectation for the manifestation that we're saying that we want. I just wonder.
Speaker 1:That's a hallelujah. Praise my God.
Speaker 2:Because, see, I'm crazy in this sense, if I say it to God, I'm looking forward. Let me tell you, and you know that about me Make sure you tag that part on.
Speaker 1:I'm crazy in this sense.
Speaker 2:Yeah, in this sense absolutely, Because I'm going to look forward until God tells me something different. If he does not tell me something different, then I'm going to keep looking for the thing that I talked to him about. You know what I'm saying, and I've held out in that time and time and time again, over and over and over again, and all it does is really build faith and it builds God's credibility in our lives.
Speaker 1:Oh, my God.
Speaker 2:Amen.
Speaker 1:Oh, my God.
Speaker 2:Amen.
Speaker 1:OK, you give me so much here. Ok, so, so. In other words, ok, let's do your. Ok, you still got your third I do. Ok, let me, let me say this so, so. In other words, one of the things I hear you saying is that Sometimes prayer it's not about an answer.
Speaker 2:That's right.
Speaker 1:Prayer is not always. Prayer should not always be about an answer.
Speaker 2:That's right. I'm so glad you said that, because it made me think of something I didn't say before.
Speaker 1:Okay, go ahead.
Speaker 2:So this is good. Going back to this scripture Philippians 4 and 6, and I talked about when it says by prayer, we do this right Now. Watch this how effective are we at praying to God about resolution, but keeping the same heart and mind of worry in the problem? Yeah, we can't do it, it is, it's an absolute. And when you read the scripture it's crazy how I saw it, because I said look at how amazing God is, because by prayer I'm entering in.
Speaker 1:Entering in.
Speaker 2:I'm leaving. This is so good, come on. I'm leaving worry. Yeah, I'm leaving anxiety. Yeah, I'm leaving the verge of depression or depression altogether, and I'm beginning to enter in Hallelujah. I'm beginning to enter in to what God has for my life In this scripture it's peace. I'm on my way to something which means I've got to leave something behind. Prayer is the transporter. You said that Prayer is my transporter. It's moving me from where I was and it's moving me into what God has promised. Sometimes, prayer is about repositioning me, jesus, repositioning my mind, repositioning how I feel, repositioning my thoughts, repositioning my perspective. Sometimes, apostle, prayer is my transporter. It moves me from where I am to where God needs me to be.
Speaker 1:Let's get hot in here again Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Oh my God Woo, so, so, so, so I pray. I pray someone right now, and we get these moments when we're on podcasts like this, and we, you know, it's not anything that is man-made man manufactured.
Speaker 1:It is one of the Holy ghost of God forms and somebody listening right now. This is your moment to surrender what you have been worrying about, what you have been struggling with and even what you have been fighting the calling. You've been fighting on your life, jacob. Okay, you have wrestled with God and you have prevailed. Okay, great, it's time for your name to be changed. It's time to step into your destiny. It's time to walk and step into who God has called you to be. Now is the time when everything is scary and when you are fragile and when you're unsure and when you're insecure and when you're. Now is the time to move so that the manifestation of power will fall on you and you will get clear vision of your Mount Moriah. You will get clear vision of where you ought to make your sacrifice, abraham, where you ought to make your sacrifice on the altar, where God shall provide you a ram in the thickets that you may prevail in your test, that you may be known as a friend of God, that the promises of God may fall on you with heavy weight and with glory, to where he has called you and who he's called you. This is your moment right now. Enter into this with submission and give God your most sincere yes right now. Right now that depression is leaving. Oh, it just broke. Oh, I felt the glory of God. The yoke of anxiety just fell off you. I'm talking to somebody right now. I can't see you, but I can see you with tears streaming down your face.
Speaker 1:This is your moment. This is that time where you step into divinity. This is your Mount Transfiguration. When Jesus went up on the Mount Transfiguration, god met him there and he was transformed into the light, in whom he is, and so that all of his disciples can see who it was. There are some people that God's about to show who you are through this enlightening moment of transfiguration. Step into it, walk into it, come into it and believe and breathe into it and lean into this moment that God wants to do in your life. Right now you can have it. It's yours. Pick it up and take it, because God is calling you, he's calling you out, he's calling you out to a trusted place and he is your strong tower and he has you walled in all around, like the hedge that was around Job.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah. The enemy can't snatch this calling away. You've lost so many things. You're scared to step into something because you think you're going to lose it too. I bind it in the name of Jesus. God said don't worry about it, it's a finished work, you're not going to lose it. Losing the other things just prepared you for this. Hallelujah, glory to God. Glory to God. Okay, I got to, I got to move on. I feel the Holy Spirit moving for the rest of our teaching. Oh, glory to God, hallelujah.
Speaker 2:So I want to share with someone who's listening, who has just been bound to worry and I felt the spirit of the Lord saying to say to you that the very thing that you have need of is on the inside of you. You think that the moment that all of these external things happen, that things are going to get better. Yes, but I felt the spirit of the Lord saying that what you need is actually on the inside of you.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:And as I was sitting with that, as the pastor was finishing, and I was talking to the Lord about it on your behalf, what I feel like the Lord said is that God's. What I feel like the Lord said is that he's trying to reposition you on the inside.
Speaker 1:Wow.
Speaker 2:Where there is some stability.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:Where there is some, some, some trust.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:And instead of thinking that the external things are going to resolve whatever it is that has you worry yes, I said, it is the work on the inside that's going to reposition you and shift you. What the good, wow. So I pray in the name of Jesus.
Speaker 1:That's so good.
Speaker 2:That your heart is able to receive.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:And that you would trust God at his word. Amen.
Speaker 1:Wow, what a powerful moment when the glory falls. Sometimes you just have to get off your agenda.
Speaker 2:You have to. Every time, I will tell you folks who are listening in.
Speaker 1:God bless you, thank you.
Speaker 1:I hope you're getting something from this, but I will tell you, the Holy spirit has moved us off our agenda and and everything in me is trying to fight to get back to that agenda only because I want to do right by our listeners. I want to give you a lot of scriptures and word and in depth, uh, biblical knowledge. It's just the Holy Spirit is moving right now so powerfully for someone and if it's just that one person that's being touched right now, listen, god loves you, we love you, we're here for you.
Speaker 1:That's why we're here, on this program, this daily bread, because this could be your daily bread today. This could be your bread that you need for today. And God bless you. May he strengthen you, may he keep you, may he speak his plan and purposes to you. May you dream your destiny and your vision. Oh my God. May God give you visions and dreams of everything that he has in store for you. May you find sweet rest and peace for your anxiety. It's broken.
Speaker 2:It's broken.
Speaker 1:I want you to start taking naps Once you get off work or you got some time at home. Just take you a power nap 15 minutes. Don't get your two hours in, girl. Don't get your two hours in, bro. Don't get your two hours in and jump back up and get at it again. Get your rest. Get your rest. Get your rest. You're going through a lot, your family's facing a lot. You love people hard and you're going through some disappointments. And get your rest and watch the Lord renew your soul.
Speaker 1:Pastor 8.3, I'm going to let you get your point three, because you know, that keeps us three things that keeps us from prayer.
Speaker 2:It was pain perspective and the third is plagues wow, you put them in P's too.
Speaker 1:That was right off the top of your dome. That was right off your head, off the top of your dome.
Speaker 2:That was good plagues tell me about that Plagues you know, and it could come in a lot of different. I like that A lot of different formats and come a lot of different ways. You know, and what I, what I'm striving to lean into to help describe this, as I feel it, by the spirit of God is oftentimes it's things of the past. Yeah, it's the plagues of our past.
Speaker 1:That's good.
Speaker 2:That, and I guess that could be a fourth P huh. Our past, the plagues of our past, that prevent us from praying.
Speaker 2:Yeah, prevent us from praying, whether it is how we were raised, what we were taught to believe, maybe something that didn't happen that we felt like should have happened, maybe something that did happen that we feel like shouldn't have happened, and all of the different things. And those things are constantly haunting us. You know, a plague is something that continually creates some form of distress in our lives, something that continually creates some form of distress in our lives, and oftentimes it's a lot of unresolved issues, unresolved pains, a lack of understanding why certain things happen, why I wasn't this, why I wasn't that, why this didn't, why that did. Da da, da, da da.
Speaker 2:And a lot of times that that continual distress prevents us from being willing to pray.
Speaker 1:Wow, I love it. So let me I got to recap that so they can get it. So it's four reasons why we don't pray right now. We just and that's thank you, pastor a pain perspective plagues and the past. That is so powerful, yeah, that is so important.
Speaker 2:So when we talk about and let me just add this I'm sorry when I think about the past, because maybe we feel like God didn't answer something before or previously the way that we will want for him to answer it.
Speaker 1:Right.
Speaker 2:And, as a result, we're angry and we're upset and we and we do the thing that we do to humans.
Speaker 1:Right.
Speaker 2:Well, because you didn't do that, you weren't there for me.
Speaker 1:Right.
Speaker 2:I don't want to talk to you.
Speaker 1:I don't mess with you anymore.
Speaker 2:I'm done with you and we, and we take that same posture with God, right? Well, you didn't do what I asked you to do, and so now I don't want to talk to you anymore. Wow, yeah.
Speaker 1:They gave me a fifth one. A fifth.
Speaker 2:Oh my God, that's good. Yeah, that's a good one.
Speaker 1:I thought about how the scripture says OK cool. I thought about how the scripture says pride comes before destruction and a haughty look before a fall.
Speaker 1:There's a haughtiness of spirit, of mind, of breathing in too much self-value. You know, bringing in, breathing in. See it says a haughty, look, haughty is puffed up. It's a swelling up of self and swelling up of your perspective and elevating and uplifting your own ideologies and standing so aggressively and dogmatically on them that they morph into witchcraft and they become controlling, controlling spells that you use to dominate people into the matrix of your doings. When we get me myself and I, I don't need religion, I don't't know, you don't know, but you've got to understand.
Speaker 1:Christianity is both a religion and a relationship. I've tried to teach that to people. If it wasn't a religion, then why we got this book? Religions have, they have practices and principles and customs that come from written, from the old, from from almost all of them became written. But it's also a relationship because Christ was inside of us, from what was oral and became written. But it's also a relationship because Christ knew us inside of us. So you can get. So I don't need religion, I don't need God, so I don't need God's ways or precepts and the concepts and I don't need God's relationship, I don't need anybody, I don't need this, I got this, I did this, I did that I me life becomes so much about self that we ego ease God out.
Speaker 1:That's an acronym for easing God out. Someone has once said so. That stops us from getting on our knees. How are you going to pray from your spirit deep inside of you when you feel like God has no room, no business being there in the first place? Oh, I got this and I don't. That stops us from communicating to God, because prayer is our communication. That's why I say it's not always about answers. I just want to pray and say God, I love you. I just want to say I thank you so much, you've been so good. I just want to say I adore you. Today, god, I just want to say I can't do it without you. I can't be who I am. Without you, I can't make it, I can't survive. I thank you so much for all that you've done to me. I just want to say good morning, holy Spirit. I just want to thank you today, jesus.
Speaker 2:It's not always about an answer. Reflecting is beautiful, thanking him for where he's brought you from, thanking him for the things we're no longer having to deal with, the ability to overcome. And, yeah, thank you. It's beautiful that that just thank you.
Speaker 1:Sometimes prayer is about the answers I already have.
Speaker 2:Yep, absolutely, it is.
Speaker 1:Oh my God, okay, okay, okay, pastor, what about not doing? You got that, you got that educational posture professional professor ism on you. I'm like, okay, I need to move on you, that I you know.
Speaker 1:I'm like, hey, let me move on, because you look like the teacher and the student been talking too long okay, that's funny so I want to take you out to this scripture in psalms 34, pastor I think you already have it and in this scripture we are talking about this whole concept of inviting god into your fears, your anxiety and your depression. Invite himite him in, because, let me tell you something where the presence of God is, let me tell you something, no other spirit, power or principality can abide, and so invite God into that fear that you have. I know you might be going through fear and anxiety. Go ahead and stop for a moment and invite him in. So I want to go to Psalms 34. I can get it if you want. Okay, psalms 34. Yeah, look at verse 4 through 8 there and let's just see if we got this right here.
Speaker 2:This is a Psalm of David.
Speaker 1:It is a Psalm of. David. It is a Psalm of David.
Speaker 2:All right, 34.4. The Bible says says I sought the Lord and he answered me.
Speaker 1:OK, right there, Right there. Ok, can you read that again?
Speaker 2:I sought the Lord and he answered me.
Speaker 2:He delivered me from all my fears. Oh my God, those who look to him are radiant. Their faces are never covered with shame. This poor man called and the lord heard him. He saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the lord encamps around those who fear him and he delivers them. And I think in in king j it says, oh, taste and see. But this NIV says taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. That's so beautiful. That is so beautiful. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1:And in my Bible here, New King James, it says blessed is the man who trusts in him. Now I want people to see that's good, yes, Jesus.
Speaker 2:Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. That's going to be a good exit scripture.
Speaker 1:This is our exit scripture. I want people to see this rhythm and this dance in the text that is taking place between God and humanity that is taking place between God and his creation. It's a call and response, like you do with a hymn in Sunday morning service. Look at this call and response. Watch this verse four. I saw he heard.
Speaker 2:I thought he heard.
Speaker 1:Call response Watch this. And it says oh my God, you can even go here. I sought and he delivered, See Call and response. Look at verse 5. They looked Watch this and were radiant Call and respond. They looked upon him. What was the outcome? The response.
Speaker 2:Radiant.
Speaker 1:That's a portal shift. Come on somebody. You went from having a countenance of anxiety and sorrow and distress to look at radiant. Look at your countenance. Now, since you saw him and he delivered you, he changed your countenance. David said he'll put a new song in your mouth. He'll turn. Oh my God. He'll turn your situation. He'll put a new song in your mouth. He'll turn. Oh my God.
Speaker 1:He'll turn your situation around all the way and put a new song in. This poor man cried out. I saw the Lord. He heard my cry, he pitted my every groan. He put a new song, a new song in my mouth. That's good, you know. And, oh my God, ok, watch this. At the response, the Lord heard them and saved them. You kind of see this dance that's going on here.
Speaker 1:Verse 7, it says the angel of the Lord is around. Those who watch this fear him. Watch this and delivers them. You call him. He's going to respond. Watch this, oh, taste and see. Taste. Now watch the response.
Speaker 2:See.
Speaker 1:Taste, you're going to taste. You're going to see. What are you going to see? That the Lord is good. That's still a call and response, even in the B portion of verse 8, but it's flipped. If you trust in him, you're going to be blessed. There's a, there's a rhythm to prayer. There is a rhythm tucked away by God. That is automatic, is organic. It's like ergonomics. It is suited to fit exactly the way you process You're going through life. God is so specific that he ergonomically wired prayer to fit everybody and every situation. Come on here, somebody. You think you've got an ergonomic desk and an ergonomic keypad and an ergonomic mouse. My brother, sister, you got ergonomic prayer. God has situated it exactly for you and what you're dealing with in your situation when there's a response when you call out to him.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah.
Speaker 2:Come on, pastor, I'm going to bless it on you. I mean, just reading the scripture in and of itself is about checking out, because it is such a great reminder that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, who is concerned about me and who has given me access to Him.
Speaker 2:He has given me access to His Kingdom. He's given me access to His Presence. He's given me access to His Holy Spirit. He's given me access to his presence, come on, he's given me access to his Holy Spirit. He's given me opportunity To be expressed, to express myself Through his power. Wow.
Speaker 1:Wow.
Speaker 2:And I am reminded that I now have a right.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:To go to the throne and talk directly to him.
Speaker 1:Come on.
Speaker 2:And he hears me, and I always say this because I'm excited about the fact that we have a God who hears us.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:But not only does he hear us.
Speaker 1:Yeah, he answers us. He answers us.
Speaker 2:And that is beautiful, and that is all.
Speaker 1:That is the word of the Lord, that is the blessing of God.
Speaker 2:Amen.
Speaker 1:Listen, we pray, we pray. We've prayed for you sincerely today and we just believe what we pray for.
