So I am entitling this message today, Strong Man. Amen. Just write strong man there. We take all our messages and our teachings from the scripture because we believe in the ministry of the scripture. We believe that the scripture has the absolute power to change one. Amen. Say the absolute power. Absolute is uh is interpreted as total power. The word of God has total power to change you. Any part of your life, any part of my life, the word of God can change. Amen. There's not one problem that you can tell me that the word of God doesn't have an answer to and for. Every single problem under the sun, above the sun, around the sun, different dimensions, all right, realms, because those exist. The word of God has the power to affect. Why? Because those things were created by the word. Do you understand that? So you know it's all about access, which I'll talk to you about today. Let's go to the book of Acts. Chapter 12. Verse um twenty-one.

Verse 22, and the people kept shouting, The voice of a God and not of a man. Verse 23, then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give glory to God, and he was eaten by worms and died. Verse twenty four. But the word of God grew and multiplied.

So the Bible tells us, you know, I like taking notes when I'm talking as well. The Bible tells us in Acts chapter twelve, verse twenty-one. Upon a set day, Herod arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne and made an oration unto them. That is his people, because he was a king. Verse 22. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a God and not of a man. Praise the Lord. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him because he gave not God the glory, and he was eaten of worms and gave up the ghost. Amen. I want to talk to you about strong, the strong man. Now, some of you don't know what a strong man is, so I'm going to explain to you what a strong man is first. Alright? A strong man isn't necessarily a person in your life, but a strong man is a thing, an idea, or a person, or a spirit that stops the move of God in your life constantly.

So there was a specific preacher who he held a uh a crusade, and in that crusade, he was expecting thousands of people, and they all turned up. It was about 10,000 people. And in that crusade, he was he was trying to flow in the anointing, flow in the power of God, but he couldn't flow. He found it very difficult. Amen. And uh as he was trying to flow, he went back to the pulpit and said, Lord, the power's not coming through me. There's something wrong. You know what God said to him? God said, take off your bracelet. God said, the bracelet you're wearing is cutting the power. And and he thought, My bracelet? It's such a small thing. Amen. The issue was he would never go anywhere without that bracelet. It became like a lucky bracelet. If he didn't have that bracelet, it's as if the world has just ended. Praise the Lord. So he held on tight to this thing. So the Lord said, take off the bracelet. He removed the bracelet, he put it under the pulpit, and then he prayed again. And he prayed again. The power of God hit the place. That's when the healings began. Amen. First person stood up from the wheelchair on the far left. And from there, people saw the miracle. Do you understand? And heard the miracle. And faith comes by hearing. So as they saw what happened, others in wheelchairs stood up as well. Said, if she can stand up, we can stand up. And the police erupted. Amen. Glory be to God. It was a nice, nice environment to be in. But what I want to draw your attention to is the fact that the bracelet was able, just a bracelet, was able to stop the power of God flowing through the individual in question. Amen. There was another man of God who also was quite successful. Amen. And in his success, he had a special coffee mug. And I think I told some of you guys about this one. The disciples who were there in the disciples' teaching. He had a special coffee mug, and uh he would drink from this coffee mug. So he would take it to church and drink from it, and that was his special cup. Now, what was interesting about what happened with this individual was that he finished service one day, he went home, had this nice mug there. Amen. And uh he put it in the kitchen. A couple of hours later, he heard commotion downstairs. So he ran downstairs, and one of his children had broken the mug. Amen. So he was furious. So he started beating the child. He was beating the child, beating the child. He said, I've told you not to go next to the mug. He was beat, beating the child, beating the child. In the middle of beating the child, he noticed that the child had a nosebleed.

He was beating the child, the child had a nosebleed, and then the child wasn't moving.

You can you can you can find in a ministry that a ministry is doing really well. Amen. The people love God. Yeah, they love God. But there's something that isn't allowing the power to flow through. Like, for example, I'm praying for us, I'm praying for the ministry, and the Spirit of God says to me, I want you to shut down storytelling. I said, What do you mean? He said, All the storytelling that goes on in the ministry, shut it down because that's cutting the flow of the power. But what's storytelling? You taking information about somebody else and going to talk about it to somebody else, and it has nothing to do with you. Some of you do it as a sport.

It's a sport. You're you're okay. You you heard something about somebody, it's negative, you go and take it and and give it to your best friend. For what purpose? What are you trying to achieve? This is a church. You're going to find people who are ill here, you're gonna find people who have problems here. In fact, the worst people come from church. The worst you will find them in the church. It doesn't give you the responsibility or the authority or the unction to take that information and go and talk to someone else about it. The Lord said he was clear, he said, cut the storytelling. I call it gossip. God is so nice, he said, storytelling. He said, Tell them to stop. So and by the way, this is it's a strange thing because it's happening more with boys. The men are talking, it's actually disgusting that as a man you will find yourself picking someone else's information and going to talk to another man about it. Have you not been brought up well?

Okay, you see, if you want to build a kingdom, yeah, you ensure that the enemy doesn't know the weaknesses of the house. Every house will have weaknesses, but if you want to build, you keep the weaknesses in-house and you deal with them. You hand over those weaknesses to adequate leaders, leaders who are equipped to deal with them, and you deal with it. Amen. Okay, you heard someone has four boyfriends, and he's and she's jumping around talking to four or five men. Is it your responsibility to go and say, Ah, I heard? I heard. I heard those those things stop the currents of the power.

Well, here on Sunday, I release the power in the name of the Lord Jesus, you receive it, and then you join a storytelling group in the church. And then you guys do nothing constructive, you come together just to talk because it makes you feel good. It's a terrible culture, and I stop it in the name of the Lord Jesus today, if a person has that habit of coming to you and saying things, shut them down immediately. Are you listening? Shut them down.

I could walk past a couple and I know the man is cheating on the woman, and the woman is cheating on the man, and I bless them and walk by. And I won't say anything because that's the ministry of the office. That's my ministry. And if I want to build, I will not expose them. Maybe some of you have never built anything, that's why you don't you don't understand what I'm saying. When you're in the business of building, you cover. Are you listening? Say it when you're in the business of building, you cover.

But the problem with that is, you know, when it comes to telling your personal life, yeah, you want to be wise enough that your information are in the hands of capable people. Right. That's right. What do I mean by capable? People that are able, because keeping secrets is a skill. The information comes, I use it to pray. How to pray. I know how to pray.

So if you're part of that pool of people who talk, and the the talk you have no measure with the way you speak, you're always inside other people's business. Yeah. You may that may be one of the reasons why the currents or the power of God is not flowing through you. You're in the environment, but you're not experiencing it.

There's a scripture that's come into my spirit that says, and I've and I think I've I gave this scripture to you as a nuclear scripture in the teaching of striving with your maker. I said, Woy unto them that strive with their maker. You know what that means? Woy unto them that strive with their maker. God is interested in building this house. You have now come as an unknown agent to minister storytelling. What you don't know is that you're you're now fighting God's academy. You're fighting. You're in you're in your now an enemy of God's academy. One of my good friends was I was sitting with him and he said to me, I know God, did you notice in the Bible because we share scriptures? And he gave me a very powerful revelation. He said, you know, there's a guy called James, the brother of John. James, the brother of John, yes. And there's also James, the brother of Jesus. Yeah. And then he says to me, Oh, did you notice that James, the brother of Jesus, rejected Jesus during his ministry? I said, Yes, that's very true. Then he says, But if you jump, look at the book of James. That's James, the brother of Jesus. It's not James the brother of John. I said, he said, look at all the revelation that came from him. And then he said something else that really took me, you know, really took me. He says, when Paul was to get officialized, remember he was soul, and then he killed Christians. Jesus appeared to him and said, You're persecuting me. Yeah. Stop it. Now, as his ministry was coming together, Peter writes, I had to travel to go, uh Paul writes, I had to go and see Peter and James, the brother of Jesus, to be officiated into the body of Christ. But this was the same brother that rejected Jesus the entire time he was alive. Ended up being the head of the church along with Peter. And James didn't see Jesus do one miracle. He was not with him, but ended up at the top. With all their madness and badness, God says, support them. So when you come into the house of God, you may meet Israel here. You will meet James, the brother of Jesus, here. And God says, That guy is terrible, but love him and protect him and cover him. Are you listening to that? And you don't you don't do those things because someone is nice, you don't do those things because someone you do those things because he asked you to. Amen. Praise God. Now, um, it's super important that you get rid of this strong man and you use violence. Remember, Jesus said you got to tie him up. Yeah, you gotta tie him up, so you have to use violence when you're dealing with this thing that is holding you back from the power of God flowing through you and God using you. You got to be aggressive about it. Amen. It could be something as small as a TV program, like you cannot go to bed without that. Let me, I want to talk to you about uh a lady who worshipped money, and she didn't know that money was her strong man. Pastor said, Yeah, Pastor said, the man of God said to this lady, do not she came, she said, Pastor, I have my business, my business is running out of cash flow. She said, Uh, I want to go and get a loan. And I've done my research, and the um percentages are coming back really good. Amen. This was back home, by the way, all right? And uh the man of God says, Don't get don't go and get the loan. God will provide the money, just be faithful in serving in the church. She turns around and says, Why should I not get the loan? The numbers make sense, the percentages make sense. Why should I not get the loan? The man of God responded, I don't know. I'm just telling you what God told me. Don't get the loan. Amen. So she didn't listen, of course. She went to a specific bank. She's gone to this bank, and uh back home, they do things a little bit differently. Yeah, they said to her at that time, go and get a blood test so we know you're healthy, so we'll give you the loan, and so we know that you can repay it back and you're not ill or anything like that. So we want you to do a general checkup, including a blood test and all of that stuff. So she said, Yeah, sure, no problem. She went, did all the tests, she came back HIV positive. But she was before that, she was fine.

No symptoms, nothing. Everything was fine. So she came to church down.

She said, Pastor, I'm HIV positive. Pastor said, How did you find that? She said, she explained the story. Pastor said, But I told you, don't forget the loan. You thought it was about the money. God was trying to preserve your life. He said, Don't now you have another battle. You know what the battle is? Now you have to fight with your faith on whether you believe what the doctor said or not. It's a whole nother battle. You've forgotten about the money for the cash flow for your business. The battle has now started for life and death. God said, Don't get the loan. But she worshipped money. Like many of you do. You wake up in the morning, my business. You go to sleep, money. Everything for you is about money. You are in trouble. Listen, brother, if you are one of those people, you are in hot soup. Because money will take you where it wants to take you.

Amen. Now after the three weeks, the pastor says to her, I see the report you got.

That report was for somebody else. They mistaken you with somebody else. You know what her response was? She said, Oh, Pastor, in the three weeks, yeah. She said, Pastor, in the three weeks, I've had all the symptoms. He said, Of course you have, because you believe what they told you. Before the three weeks, she nothing. During the three weeks, all the symptoms lambasted her. Amen. Say, I serve one God, and that is Jesus. Christ who died on the cross. And the power I have comes from his resurrection. Yeah. Do not worship your career. You see, this fast that just came out of. Yeah, I'm in the fast. I'm praying. I'm praying. I have topics, different topics I have. So one of my topics is my businesses. So I set a time aside for it. Amen. So I said I'll pray about it because I need God to do something big. So I'm praying about my businesses. You know what I heard? God said, stop praying about your businesses, stop it completely. He says, stop giving it attention. He said, if you deal with my business, I will deal with your business. God's way of working, you will bring a problem to him. He will tell you, I'm not interested in that problem. I want you to serve me. And everything about you, I will deal with. Amen. You may come to God because you're sick. You say, I need healing. He says, forget the healing. Forget the healing. And it will frustrate you. Say, forget the healing. You he'll tell you, find a job in the church. He won't address the very thing that you came for.

Some struggle with their relationship with God because they don't understand how He operates. I've gone in to pray about how to steward my marriage, and God says, forget. Forget your marriage. You would think he doesn't care. One time I went in there, yeah. I'm praying for God to advance my wife and all her and the and the endeavours, so endeavors, how some of you would say. I'm praying. God says, in a vision, yeah. I see him do this. He went like that, like that. He said, like that. And and in visions, the vision speaks. Yeah. He went like this, like that. I knew already. I need to stop. Yeah, he's not in this. I didn't stop. So I stopped. You know what he said? He said, pray for Brenda. I said, ah. I said, why? I said, I'm focused. I'm focused. So I'm dealing with a serious case in front of me here. He went like that. He said, pray for Brenda. I didn't know what was going on. This was last year. He said, pray for Brenda. So I'm now sulking, praying for Brenda. Soaking. And I heard nothing until I fixed my attitude and I said, okay, I will pray with a good heart. Amen. This is the God you are serving. He does not from your country.

Now if you go to verse 24, it says the word of God multiplied. Grew and multiplied. Once Herod died, I'm helping you to identify what it is that is your strong man. Once you get rid of it, the word of God will multiply and grow in your spirit. It will, I mean, the word of God will change your when I say change your life. How do I put this in words? The word of God will change your life. The first thing that it will minister to you is peace. The very thing you keep smoking weed for, it will give you that thing first.

Thank you. There's a great man of God called Wigglesworth. Yeah. Wigglesworth was given an illustration and he said he went to, he was from the UK. He went to a hot from uh to a hospital. He died years ago. Yeah. He went to a hospital and there was an old, there was a church member, a lady that was coming to his church. She was 85. And her bones were very frail. And she had been in the hospital for some time. He hadn't seen her in service. So he gets to the service. Yeah. And uh he gets to the hospital, sorry. As he gets there, he notices that she's sitting down and she's saddened. He said, Her name was Martha. He said, Martha, what's what's the matter? And she said, Well, the doctors said that I will never walk again because my bones are too frail. I've come back to an old age, so I will never be able to use my legs. And now the job that Martha had was she would be carrying the basket around in the church for people to put offerings inside. And she loved it. She was an older lady, she loved the job. Amen. So as she couldn't do that, it broke her heart. She said, I am shattered. So Smith said, Do you believe that God can make you walk again? Amen. She said, Yes, I do. I've seen you pray for others. But he heard someone kiss his teeth. So Smith turned out and he noticed there was an elderly man there. That was her husband. He had never seen the man before. And she said, she said, Don't worry about him. He's my husband. He doesn't believe. So Smith didn't pay any mind to that. Amen. So he prayed for her for about a minute and said, Martha, stand up. And then she said, Okay, so she stood up and she was like, I can walk. And then the husband turned, saw what was going on, and he had this look on his face. Just according to Smith. Yeah. He had this look on his face of shock.

And then the man of God asked him, Why are you in the hospital?

He said, For the same thing. And the man of God asked him, because he just felt prompted. He said, What do you do for a living? The man said, I'm a doctor. His strong man was that he knew too much.

Raise your hand if you've met people who have gone through church hurt before. Are they good people to be around? The problem with them is that their experiences are shaping them. Instead of the word of God to shape them. I'm telling you something different. Your experiences should not shape you. Why? Because there will come a time where your experience will clash with the scripture. What will you do then?

I was telling an elderly man, his car broke down. I said, talk to the car. He said, Boy, do you know how old I am? He started giving me his age. Now, when an African man is giving you his age, it means you've overstepped one. Two, he's trying to show you that you're leading him astray. He doesn't feel respected. I said, Do you know how old he said? My grandson is your age. I said, Daddy, I accept that. I'll talk to your grandson and win him over to Christ as well. But what we're dealing with here now is your car. Talk to your car. I said to him, You can talk to your car before long, your car will turn on.

Now, you had that experience, right? Yeah. Can we get him a microphone? The ushers are sleeping. You you had that experience? Yes, sir. You did you talk to your car?

I did, sir. What happened? Uh, so my car had to pull on the hard shoulder, and then I spoke to the car as we've been taught. And the car actually started working without me doing without calling a mechanic or anything like that.

Now, you see this young man here. You see this young man? He is not a mechanic. If he was a mechanic and I said, talk to your car, he'll say, This guy, I'm not coming back to this church. This guy's guy's not okay. His mechanicness would be his strong man. The very thing that's blocking the power from flowing. I did, I spoke to my my car like I think four weeks ago. And I told you there was a there's a problem with the the um the what's it called the parking thing. The car wasn't moving. I woke up on Sunday, I looked which car should I take? I said, I'll take that one. I've gone, I've jumped in. I've jumped in the car number and I wanted to start it off. The handbraker's not going anywhere. I said, I know I'm time. So I jumped out and I took the other one and I came. Yeah, but I uh it was in my spirit the whole time at church. I was preaching to you, I was thinking about that car. I said, I don't like that. That was upsetting, that was rude. I personally took I personified my vehicles because I learned it from Jesus. Jesus wasn't, he was hungry, he expected the tree to act as a waiter. Bring me my food, brother. And the tree didn't give him the food, and he spoke to the tree, said, From today, you will never bear fruit, and walked away. I learned it from Jesus. So, for those of you that don't believe, he didn't only speak to a tree, he spoke to the wind, he spoke to the sea, he spoke to a dead body, and then all the things he spoke to responded. He spoke to bones, bones, people that couldn't walk, he spoke to them. He said, Get up and walk. His disciples, same thing, silver and gold. I don't have, but what I do have, I'll give to you. Get up, take your bag, and walk. He was talking to the bones. Praise the Lord. So you may be sitting here, you're older, and there's a younger person in the in the ministry who's flying in revelation. God is doing a thing with them because for them, they don't have experience, there's nothing to hinder them, they don't have a good job, that's not hindering them. They're an open canvas. You, when I'm teaching you the word of God, you're combating me in your mind. As I'm teaching now, some of you are fighting me in your mind. I don't agree with that, I don't agree with that. You won't go anywhere. I'm not teaching you things, all right, that I haven't already lived. And I've won my wife over in the same way. Don't think I just met her and then she's my wife. I had to win her by demonstrating that I am genuinely a man of God. I had to demonstrate that this thing works. Okay, you said in the Bible that Jesus spoke to a tree. Okay, show me how this works. Speak to the thing. Amen. Yeah. One time we were in bed, she wakes me up, she says, My hip is hurting, it's too painful. Do you remember that? I was half asleep. I said, In the name of I didn't even finish, I didn't finish it. I just took my hand. I just name of I don't know what name I said, and then I just went back to bed. In the morning, she she we were speaking, and she says, Do you know that you came? In my dream, you laid hands in the very place I was in pain, and the pain disappeared. I'm not making this up for I had to win her over. Because the word of God, you see, the way I've scheduled myself, I bomb, I bombard. There was one parent here that called me and said, uh, Pastor, my child is struggling at school. I said, take Pastor Max's messages, give it to the child one message a day. They'll do well in school. Just one. And if you want to deal with a higher mountain, listen to three messages a day. If you want to listen, if you want to deal with a higher, higher mountain than that, listen to five messages a day. You gotta be you gotta be aggressive about it. That's right, but these messages they will change the way you see things. You start seeing things the way Christ saw them. And one thing I love about Christ is he had possibility consciousness. He there's no situation he got into where he was like, This is impossible. No, no, no. He got there and says, This is easy. People are crying. Lazarus is dead. He says, Lazarus is sleeping. Lazarus is dead. He says, Lazarus is sleeping. Can you see where you're why where you're going wrong? So your brain, your mind is bewitched. Your mind is bewitched. You see things too much from a human perspective.

So as I'm ministering to you now, and I'm telling you, you can you can talk to your car. You can do it, you can talk to your bones, you can talk to your bank account. Before long, if you're consistent, before long, you know, just like a child in your in the belly, you can talk to the child. If you want to have nice looking children, talk to the child, tell the child you better come out handsome. People will see your children, they will be all over your kids. Ah wow, come on now. You don't just deal with the face, you also deal with the people's reactions. So people will see you and see glory. So you will inspire love in other people's relationships. You're telling the baby.

Because it gives you access to secrets that the world doesn't have. They don't know what I'm telling you right now. Amen. They don't know what I'm telling you right now. Some don't have the capacity to believe what I'm telling you right now. Tear down your experiences. Say it with me. I tear down my experiences. I tear them down. All my experiences. And I open myself up to receive the scripture so the scripture can become my reality. I want to live the scripture, it becomes my reality. Praise the Lord Jesus. Read that 23 to 24 one more time. Thank you, sir. Acts chapter 12, from verse 22. The amplified version says, The assembled people kept shouting, It is the voice of a God and not of a man. Verse 23. And at once an angel of the Lord struck him down because he did not give God the glory, and instead permitted himself to be worshipped. And he was eaten by worms and died five days later. Verse 24. But the word of the Lord, the good news about salvation through Christ, continued to grow and spread, increasing in effectiveness.

Amen. Grew was growing and spreading in effectiveness. My version says it grew and multiplied. Now, what I take from that is when the word of God is growing in you, it starts to give birth. Okay. And when the word starts giving birth, it's only good things. It's only good things. But you some of you, you heard like now, for example, you're hearing the word of God and you're expecting results straight away. It's nice to expect results, but it doesn't work like that. As I've ministered the word to you, now you have to go home and sit on it. Do you understand what I mean by that? It means meditate as in put your mind on it and start to live in that consciousness. When you live in that consciousness, it starts to give birth. I told you I was driving. I'm just driving, driving. I noticed my tank is empty. I'm driving like this. God in heaven is listening and is my witness. I'm driving, driving, driving. I didn't pray. I didn't, I thought, wow, I need to stop off at a petrol station. I said, okay, I'll look for one. I look up, continue driving. Maybe five two minutes, maybe five minutes later. I look back down and it says 200 miles. Do you know what 200 miles is? That's a full tank. For a three liter, I think. For a three liter. Amen. So you have to have a 3.5. Yeah. 3 liter. Amen. Yeah. But that happened. I didn't pray. I didn't do any of those things because I'm living in that consciousness. There's a consciousness that I live with that God, I'm so locked in with Him, He's taking care of everything. He's taking care of everything. Even many, many years ago, I fell behind in rent. Fell behind in rent. The power of God was able to go through my body. Go through my body, and to I was able to be used to deliver myself out of that situation because I'm living in that reality. So I would talk to the landlord as if I'm the landlord and he's the tenant. I'll tell him, brother, the rent will be paid when the work the rent will be paid. That's the first thing. Number two, I said to him, also, I am so blessed. The fact that I'm living in your property. Do you not understand who I am? I had to, you know, I had to administer to explain to him who I am. I said, give me a couple minutes, let me tell you who I am first. So I'm a man of God. I'm living in your property. You are blessed. Amen. Sometimes when I think about it, I should have said to him, come for prayer.

You fell behind in rent, and all the experiences you had seen with your parents, where the bailiffs came and they said, Pack your things and leave. You sometimes you saw it on Nollywood. You saw the landlord come in to kick people out. All those experiences came at your door and said, This is what you're facing now. Whilst you're being faced with Nollywood, what your parents went through, your aunties went through, all those, I'm being faced with the word. Do you get the difference? So we both fell back in rent. But what's come to my spirit is this is nothing. The landlord will have to wait. In your head, you're panicking. I've never sold drugs, but ah you're thinking, I need to do this, I need to do that, I need to do that. You're panicking. Are you not a child of God? Who are you? Honestly, who are you? Are you sure? Yes, sir. So why are you not behaving like it?

Your face is glorious, nice face. Your face is inviting. People see you and they're like, ah, we want to be your friend. That can only happen based on the inside. What you have on the inside will always uh what's the word I'm looking for? Come out, yeah, translate onto your visage, your face. It will translate. For those who are very discerned, you can tell when you get around someone who has a bad heart. You can see it on their face. And and you know who's I'll stop here. You know who's very good at doing that? Our parents. Yeah, your pet, your mom will tell, especially your mother. She'll tell you see that friend of yours. No, no, no, no, no, no. It's his face.
