I want to talk to you. I want to talk to you greatly, so I want us to speak about the spirit of prayer. Now of course I I have spoken to you before multiple times. Please sit down there. Thank you. I've spoken to you multiple times on the different types of the different places in which you should place your prayers as in the priorities. Where you should place your prayers. And I've also spoken to you about the different types of prayers that there are.

Amen.

So I'm gonna very briefly try and touch on that because I want us to really pray. Amen. We're coming to a time where you know summer is fast approaching, and in the summertime, you know, there's a lot of distractions. There's a lot of distractions, a lot of um, a lot of tricks the enemy tends to play to throw you off your your game. So these are the messages, these are the kind of messages that you listen to as summer is fast approaching. Amen. I don't want you to be distracted, and I don't think the Lord wants you to be distracted either. Okay, um, you must prepare for what is to come. We know what will happen in the future based on the past. Amen. So you can actually study what is to take place in the future if you just study the past, it's very easy. Alright, and if you don't know how to do that, that's why you're here. So I'm gonna quickly tell you where to place your prayers first, the priorities, what you should prioritize in your prayer, because there are um things that you should not miss out on when you're praying, all right. So you start with um section of personal prayer. Okay, personal prayer. So personal prayer, you're dealing with things in your life that affect your efficiency in serving God, Amen. So you really want to give that attention, you really want to give that attention thing things that you find that really affect they throw you off your your connection with the Lord. Amen. You know that this thing is bothering me. This is a this is a thing that's really bothering me. Okay, and some of these things can translate themselves as temptation, others can translate themselves as mountains that just do not want to move. Okay, Paul said Paul demonstrated this by saying that he had a sickness, this was an affliction. Okay, he said, I have an affliction, and this affliction is on my back, and I'm unable to shake this thing off. And then Paul says he prayed about this thing multiple times. That's what he said. He said, I prayed about this multiple times. He said, I prayed. Praise God. He said, I prayed about this thing multiple times. He said I didn't hear anything, so it can translate as a sickness that's bothering you, it could be your eyesight, and every time you're in the presence of God, you're like, I shouldn't have this thing is bothering me. Praise God. Alright, so it could be a physical ailment, it could be a temptation, like I said earlier on, where there's there's things that you know you should not be doing, okay, but you find yourself doing them. There's another side to it where you have addictions, which what the Bible at times translates as strongholds, and you know that these addictions are terrorizing you, and you cannot. The Bible says we have we have this confidence. First John 5, I think. We have this confidence, we have the it what it mentions the word confidence that we have the petitions that we so desire when we ask God. Okay, we have them. He says we have this confidence, but can you go into the presence of God confidently, knowing that you have an addiction that's hidden away. This is a hidden addiction. So when you're praying, the first thing you should deal with is personal prayer. You you you go in and and attempt, or I should say, strive to do this every morning, that you go to God about that thing. Because it could be that you've spoken to Him once or twice, and you find that it hasn't necessarily been dealt with, so you do not stop praying until that thing is handled. Do you understand? And you may find that you may have to pray for a long period of time about it, but that's the essence of pressing in prayer. You're learning to be patient with God, not because God is tired, not because God takes longer, but because God is working with you at your own capacity. That's why you may find that sometimes you pray about something, you pray, you really pray about something that's bothering you, and God is not necessarily moving on it. So you may pray and say, God, this is bothering me. My mom's behavior is bothering me. I'm praying she's not allowing me to pray. I'm praying she's disturbing me. How can I live with her? And you're praying, and mom is not changing. Has it occurred to you that the message there is maybe that you need to change more? Praise God. You could be praying about your finances, you're saying, God, I need you to move me from A to B to C, and He hasn't said anything or He hasn't moved on it. Praise God. It's called personal prayer because this thing is affecting you, it's throwing you off. You're you're not able to worship, you're not able to pray. It's like, have you ever felt uncomfortable inside your heart? Because there's a situation. You wake up in the morning, you're just uncomfortable. You could you you didn't deal with it yesterday, and you couldn't deal with it today, you're just uncomfortable. You deal with those things in personal prayer, and you must give it attention. So in the morning, you wake up and say, Father, first things first, I'm surrendering my day to you. I'm surrendering, surrendering my entire day to you. I'm giving you everything. Praise God forevermore. Inside personal prayer, I'm not saying you're praying for your prosperity. I didn't say pray for God to bless you. I didn't say that. This is not a prayer that you're praying for you to prosper. Get away from praying for you to prosper. Prosperity is guaranteed. Did you hear that? In the way we do things in the Bible, prosperity is guaranteed. If you are wise, you will pray about having a better, finer, and I'm not using that word in the sense you think, relationship with God. So your concern when you're going into prayer about your personal life is God, how do I become one with you? Teach me how to be one with you, teach me how to walk in alignment with you. Amen. You know when you pray like that, then God starts to talk to you. You start to realize all the things inside your spirit that are stopping him from using you, from walking with you, from working with you. Amen. And the beginning of deliverance is knowledge. Praise God. You know, there was a gentleman whom I prayed for, and he got delivered. Amen. He came because he had some desires, he liked men, and he kept it a secret, and he said, I don't like this thing. And he opened up to me and said, He looked like a normal person, but he said, I occasionally have these feelings towards other men when I see them. So I said, Okay, I'll pray for you privately. So I prayed for him, amen. Praise God. So he found that over time those thoughts were not coming anymore. So he said, I'm delivered. He came back and told me, I see men, I haven't had this in six months. Not one thought. I said, You're free, that's nice, amen. But he said, you know what? I also noticed that I don't have a desire to smoke anymore. Praise God. But you know what he said that was very interesting and also very consistent with the Bible. He said, I only noticed that I didn't have a desire to smoke three months in. So I was smoking without the desire. I was smoking because it was habitual. So when God delivers you without your knowledge, you will go back into it. That's what I'm trying to tell you. If God delivers you from something you didn't know you needed deliverance from, you will run right back into that thing. So it's better to for God to work with you based on knowledge, and that is called epignosis in the Bible. Write that down, epignosis, full knowledge, correct knowledge, where you're aware that God has delivered you from this thing, and you say, I'll put boundaries in place, I will not run back to this thing. Do you understand? A lot of you have come to me and said, Sir, I'm struggling with this. I'm struggling with this. Some say, I'm struggling with pornography, and God has delivered you from it, but you're still watching porn based on habits. But he delivered you long ago. Amen. Now, since you're still doing it, how about we put it in prayer today? Can we do that? Yeah, we put it in prayer today. That thing that is bothering you, that's stopping your alignment, it's it's frustrating you, it's not allowing you to be potent in your serving God. You can't be bold about your serving God because you know deep down there's something that you're hiding, and God doesn't want you in that bondage, He wants you free and delivered out of there so you can serve Him properly. Do you understand? So I have been called to help you in those things. Nevertheless, I'm raising you to help yourself, so we will pray today and deal with personal prayer. Okay, now one step forward from personal prayer is intercession. Okay, now in the bracket of intercession, you're now praying for other people. So you have personal prayer and you have the bracket of intercession. Now for the disciples, uh just ensure you have a notepad and pen, please, because I specified that that's something that you guys should carry. So if you're a disciple, make sure you have that. Amen. So under the bracket of um intercession, you have family prayer, family devotion. Okay, family devotion is not you praying for your family, it's you praying with your family. There is something about taking your family into that place where you usually pray. It's one thing listen, it's one thing for me to cook for Zoe, amen, and then bring her the food, but it's another thing for me to bring her in the kitchen for her to cook with me. Do you understand that? So as I bring her in the kitchen and she's cooking with me, multiple things are happening there. Number one, she starts to cook like me. Number two, she sees the ingredients I use. Number three, when we leave the kitchen, we smell the same. You understand that? Some of you won't understand that because you're still young. You know, when I when I met my wife, I asked her and I said, Why are you so pure? Some of you won't understand that, so I'll explain. Okay, take away the beauty and all of that. Just remove that for a second. When I met her, I said, Why are you so pure? I come, I've come up in London. The women there are revengeful. Do you understand? They will burn your car, burn your house. They are revengeful, they are full of anger and bitterness. I came up in London. Do you understand? I've been to East London, South London, Northwest London, which I think is the worst part of London. Okay, Northwest. That's where I grew up. I've seen them all in this place. I've been to Birmingham, been to Manchester. So I asked her a question: why are you so pure? How is it that I've done things to you and you don't feel like revenging me? I'm studying you. There's no ounce of revenge. You're just the only word I can ascribe to you is pure. And I was not trying to flatter her. I was I was genuinely curious, like, how did God make you this way? I've never seen someone who doesn't have revenge in them. How are you doing this thing, this trick? So she started recounting to me. She said, When I was a kid, my mommy used to take me into prayer and I would just sit there and play. I didn't even know what she was doing. She would just pray and I'll play. For years, for a long time. That was such a key for me. Amen. It's one thing to lay hands on someone, you can lay hands on your son, you lay hands and you bless him and you speak over him and all of that. But it's another thing to take that child into the place of prayer to sit and play here. The child is turning into the atmosphere. Do you understand? The child is becoming seasoned. It's like those who can cook, you understand what seasoning chicken and meat is. Do you understand? Like it's getting it's it's one thing for the season to be on top of the food, like on top of the chicken, and then you rip into the chicken, and there's no it's just seasonless. Do you understand? But you want the seasoning inside. That's what I discovered. I said, I I saw her, I said, okay, you fit the physical profile, and then I digg inside the heart, and I said, the inside is more seasoned than the outside. How did the seasoning get in there? And she said, Mommy took me into prayer and told me to sit there and just play. That thing stuck with me. Amen. She wasn't a man of God or woman of God at that time, she was a normal church member, but she was so seasoned in that area. Do you understand? So, what I realized is the presence of God can purify you to a very high degree. I realized I had the anointing on me, she had the anointing in her. Some of you wouldn't get that. So because the anointing was on me, I could demonstrate. She had the anointing in her so she could live it out. Do you understand that? So with me, the power's on me. If you take my blazer and you put it on, you're healed. You take her blazer, you'll be coughing all day. Amen. But there's something that she carries that's inside, and that's what the Bible speaks about in Galatians chapter 5. The fruits of the spirit. What I had was 1 Corinthians 12, the gifts of the spirit. She had the fruits, I had the gifts, and I'm not shy to tell you that. Because I now have graduated to the place where I also have the fruits. Amen. So in intercession, you pray with your family. So when I go into prayer, and this is for the men, when you have your children, as I go into prayer, she can she can also attest to this. I take my sons into prayer with me. So especially when I do my three-day fast, I take the first one in the first day, second one in the second day, third one in the third day. Do you understand? This is so important. I don't take them in based on desire because I have there's one of my children out of all of them who wants to stay in there all the time. And I won't tell you who it is because you'll start favoritizing him. Amen. But there's one of them that oh he he himself in the night, he'll finish his day instead of going to his room. He comes to my prayer room as if that's his bed. Yeah, in the night time, he comes there in the morning. He knock and knocks as well, very polite. He knocks and he waits. If I don't open, he will stand there and wait. And then knock again. I know it's him. I open, I say, Come in. He comes, he just lies down and watches me. Amen. But I don't, I don't do, I don't take him in because he desires. I take the other ones, even the ones that are not interested. Because the other two, they are not interested. They're not interested at all. But I must force them. Praise God. So write down, pray with the family. You're all about to start having families. Pray with the family. Okay? And then you have pray for the family. And if you don't have children or husband or wife, you pray for your parents, you pray for your siblings, you pray for them. In there you will cover what schools they go to. In there you will cover the people they meet who influences them. And your children will grow up in the prescribed order. Do you understand? Why is it prescribed? Because you prayed long ago about it. Long ago. Long ago. Amen. Do you understand that? Someone wrote my journey long ago for me. So I'm effectively walking in a path that's already written for me. Because somebody decided to pray for me. Amen. Are you learning something? Yes, sir. So you have praying for the family, you have praying with the family, and then it comes out of there. Now we're going into uh what I call national prayer. Okay, you start in the family, you come out of the family. Now, in there, you're praying for the body of Christ first. Pray for the church. I told you, God does not move until somebody prays. He just doesn't do it. He doesn't move until somebody prays. God can love you, He can be interested in you, He can want the best for you, but He will leave you there to suffer through what you're suffering until somebody prays. Now you may ask the question and say, Why though? If God loves me, why would He just leave me until someone prays? It's because He gave earth to human beings, He left us in charge. And Him coming back here to intrude on us is against His own laws. He doesn't function like that. Praise God forevermore. God doesn't function like that. From what I remember, when God was in charge in Genesis 1 and Genesis 2, everything was fine, everything was good. Amen. And then you know what he did? He handed the authority over to Adam. And then Adam handed the authority over to Satan. That's where everything turned left. Do you understand that? Yeah. So now God says, okay, the world has been given to Satan. I gave it to one of my creations, he handed it over to Satan. So I will no longer control the world, I will only control your singular life based on you accepting me. Do you understand? So he says, you know when we say say the salvation prayer, and Jesus Christ will enter your life and become your Lord and Savior. What does that mean? He's your president. He's your Lord and Savior. So effectively, he's in charge of all your decisions. All the decisions you make, he's in charge. And that's what he was for earth. He was Lord of Earth. Then he made Adam Lord of Earth. Then Adam sold earth in a deal with Satan. He sold it to him. Satan became Lord of Earth and still is till this day. Jesus said, I'm gonna leave earth and I'm gonna go for the people. So every individual that accepts me, I'll become their Lord instead of being Lord of earth. Make sense? Yeah. So as he's your Lord, you gotta ask him to move. You gotta ask him to do things. When you pray for the body of Christ. Now from there, from national prayer, you move to international prayer, where you're now praying for other countries. Now I won't go into this one because it takes maturity. Okay. Um this is um things I can go into later, later on. Because um at this stage, it may never even come to your mind to as you're seeing, you know, I can I can I can ask, you know, who who has actually prayed for Iran? Yeah, who prayed for Iran? You you heard there was a war and you left you went into prayer, you went on your knees and dedicated two hours and prayed for Iran and all the Iranians dying. Okay, who prayed for Israel? You went on your knees and said, God, cover Israel. Who prayed for Palestine? So it's it's safe to say it's irrelevant for me to teach on international prayer because you're not there yet. Amen. These are you see when you start making such prayers, okay, and you start praying for for countries, you have reached a level of maturity where you you care not about yourself. It's bigger than you. Amen. So let me give you some scriptures and then we'll pray. First John 5, 15.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you, sir. 1 John chapter 5 from verse 15, please. Thank you, sir. 1 John chapter 5 from this verse 15 says, and if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of him.

SPEAKER_02

Amen. Verse 14 says, and this is the confidence that we have in him. That if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And this is the confidence that we have in him. So write down when I pray, I must be confident that he hears me. You must be sure that God has heard you. Don't go into the place of prayer, unsure that your prayer is being heard, because you will come out of there more demotivated. You it would have felt like you wasted your time, but you didn't. Praise God forevermore. So make sure when you're going into the place of prayer, you are confident that he hears you. It says, if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. Verse 15. And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know we have the petitions that we desired of him. He didn't say we have the prayers that we desired of him. He says we have the petitions that we desired of him. So this is where I adjourn. Yeah, because we have to pray. I want us to cultivate the spirit of prayer. What is a petition? I want you to throw synonyms at me. Okay, what is a petition? A request? How are petitions usually put forward? Written, brother. Written petitions are put forward written. You can't give a petition to your local government, and it's not in writing. So, how do you write in the spirit? Because God is a spirit and he's the God of spirits. So, how does one write a petition in the spirit and submit it to God? Can I tell you? You see, let's look at the characteristics of writing. Okay, when you write something, yeah, what does that mean? Tell me what you think, what comes to your mind when something is written? Permanent. I love that. Who said that? Nice disciple Nelly, sealed, irreversible, intentional, nice. So if I go and come back in five years, that thing will still be there. There'll be there's something called a digital footprint. Do you understand? Alright, so there'll be a footprint of what you wanted at that time. I know you still don't get it, but just follow me. So to write in the spirit, yeah, and this is how I get my prayers, every single one of my prayers is answered. That's why I say prayer is a thing of you gotta take your time. Now, the petitions of what I've asked for, how I petition in the spirit is it has to be a sure desire. The only way for something to be written in the spirit is if it's a sure desire. If you pray about something and you're not desperate about it, you won't get an answer. You know, earlier I said, you see, your personal life? You're praying about something that's bothering you. That was me giving you an introduction. It has to be more than bother. This thing has to really, really, really burn in your heart. Do you understand? Now, you may say, really, is that true? Well, look at your personal life. Does God answer 100% of your prayers? And be honest with yourself. You don't even have to answer it to me, answer it to yourself. Because your spirit will give you the real answer. I can tell you that God answers all my prayers. And it's not because I'm his favorite, although I am, but it's not because of that. He answers my prayers because every prayer I pray, I'm sure of it. So effectively, this is what I do. When I go into the place of prayer, before I open my mouth and I speak, I see first that thing that I want, I'm looking at it in my mind, and I'm asking myself, is this worth praying for? Do I want it bad enough? And the more I see this thing in my mind, the more tangible it becomes. Do you understand? Praise God. I'm looking at this thing. So, this thing is mine. When I find that now I'm erupting, I start praying. You see that eruption I'm feeling in my spirit? It's I've written it. That's how there's a book of life and a book of death. Okay? And sin is sealed when you do it, but you can only do something that erupts it. They don't get it. Most of you probably heard about the young lady that that killed another young lady in Mayfair. She drove and drove and ran over this girl. Did you hear about that? It's all over the news, yeah. For her to do something like that, there must have been an eruption of what? Anger. Do you understand? She was so angry. She erupted. She exploded. The anger drove her to killing her fellow sister. Amen. And prayer is the same. You must desire this thing badly. One of my mentors said to me, You will never experience church growth until you learn to cry for your members. I said, Ah, why do I have to cry for them? Can I not just pray for them? He said, Okay, go and pray for them. Come back to me. He said, You have to cry for them. And then you know what he said to me? He said that one time he couldn't cry. So he started crying about the fact that he couldn't cry for his members. He didn't love them that much. He said, What made him sad is that he he he couldn't be sad enough for them. Do you understand? So, so effectively he was crying about himself first because he loved himself. That's what made him cry. Amen. So that became a prayer point. God, give me a heart for the people so I can actually cry for them in prayer. He said, The moment you start crying for them in prayer, the church exploded. Bang! You know why? Because when you're crying tears for members, it means that that's an eruption. They're in your heart. You love these people. You're crying for you're crying. God, let this girl marry. Why is she not married? You're crying. You know, as you know that that meme we see, you guys said, go ahead and marry, go and marry. Nobody got married. Nobody. No, you that's not gonna work. Go back home when no one can see you and cry. That's when they will marry. Go and cry. Yeah. And I've been practicing that. Sometimes it's hard. Yeah, it's very difficult. Sometimes I see some of your pictures. I'll pray for this one. I'll just put the pictures down. I'll pray for this one. But God says, No, if you want church growth, learn your heart has to be with the people, every single one of them. That's how it has to be. Praise God. So for that house, I I meditated on it. I saw the house. I became the house. I lived in the house. And the beautiful thing about that house at that time was they had a video uploaded. You know, you know, when it's luxury properties, they upload it on YouTube so you can see how you're walking through the house. Oh, that was heaven for me. I'll just replay the video and it's on loop big screen. I'm watching the video. I'm watching the video. I was talking about it all the time. That's eruption. It was living in my heart. So when I open my mouth, it's the house. You know, they hadn't called me back. I submitted all the documents, everything, the paperwork, the finances. They hadn't called me back. And I would say to her, Why haven't they called me back? Now I'm the best candidate. Why haven't they called me back? And she'll say, Calm down, it will come. She had to tell me to calm down because I was erupting. Praise God. So when we pray today, get to that place first. And the quickest way to get there is worship. Remember, we're starting off praying about ourselves. So you're lifting up your hands in worship and you're speaking, you're saying, Father, I'm saddened because there's this thing that's throwing me off my game. I can't serve you properly. There's this thing. So you've got to find a place in this room. So just find somewhere. Lift up your hands and just worship. I asked the music team to come forward and lead us into worship. Do you understand? They will lead us and you will find this space here. Don't focus on anyone but yourself and God. And then you will feel it in your spirit. That you're at that place where some of you feel like crying, some of you feel like screaming. Some of you will feel like I need to go on the floor. Tears will come out. You've erupted. Now talk to him. You say, Father, please. Please sit to him. Put it to him. Say, please deliver me from this thing. I really want to serve you properly. I need your help. Deliver me from this thing. Yeah, and be straightforward with him. Don't lie. Be naked before God. If you know you're promiscuous, say I'm promiscuous. Do you understand? I'm very promiscuous and I don't know what to do about that. It sad, it's it's sad it saddens me. I don't know what to do about that. If you know that you're toxic, you tell him, you know, I'm I have a very, very toxic mind. And I need your help. Can we do that? Are you sure? And the Lord is saying to me, I should tell you to pray about anger. Some of you have this spirit of anger, it's so bad. Do you understand? You're so angry and you're so unforgiving. Pray about that. I can give you one promise today. Yeah, and I will not prophesy to anybody today. Today's prayer. So don't even look to see, sir. You're seeing it. I'm not seeing anything. I'm not seeing anything. We are praying. Do you understand? Now, when you're there, you say to you say, Lord, deliver me from this spirit of anger, this revengeful spirit. Please, women, pray about that. Revenge. Anyway, it is all stand up. Let's pray. Let's pray.
